스핀코팅법으로 제작한 산화구리 박막의 일산화질소 가스 감지 특성 (Nitrogen Monoxide Gas Sensing Properties of Copper Oxide Thin Films Fabricated by a Spin Coating Method)

  • We present the detection characteristics of nitrogen monoxide(NO) gas using p-type copper oxide(CuO) thin film gas sensors. The CuO thin films were fabricated on glass substrates by a sol-gel spin coating method using copper acetate hydrate and diethanolamine as precursors. Structural characterizations revealed that we prepared the pure CuO thin films having a monoclinic crystalline structure without any obvious formation of secondary phase. It was found from the NO gas sensing measurements that the p-type CuO thin film gas sensors exhibited a maximum sensitivity to NO gas in dry air at an operating temperature as low as $100^{\circ}C$. Additionally, these CuO thin film gas sensors were found to show reversible and reliable electrical response to NO gas in a range of operating temperatures from $60^{\circ}C$ to $200^{\circ}C$. It is supposed from these results that the p-type oxide semiconductor CuO thin film could have significant potential for use in future gas sensors and other oxide electronics applications using oxide p-n heterojunction structures.

CIGS 박막태양전지를 위한 반사방지특성을 가진 용액공정 투명전극 (Solution-Processed Anti Reflective Transparent Conducting Electrode for Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Thin Film Solar Cells)

  • Silver nanowire (AgNW) networks have been adopted as a front electrode in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) thin film solar cells due to their low cost and compatibility with the solution process. When an AgNW network is applied to a CIGS thin film solar cell, reflection loss can increase because the CdS layer, with a relatively high refractive index (n ~ 2.5 at 550 nm), is exposed to air. To resolve the issue, we apply solution-processed ZnO nanorods to the AgNW network as an anti-reflective coating. To obtain high performance of the optical and electrical properties of the ZnO nanorod and AgNW network composite, we optimize the process parameters - the spin coating of AgNWs and the concentration of zinc nitrate and hexamethylene tetramine (HMT - to fabricate ZnO nanorods. We verify that 10 mM of zinc nitrate and HMT show the lowest reflectance and 10% cell efficiency increase when applied to CIGS thin film solar cells.

  • Low-e glazing is classified as soft low-e glazing and hard low-e glazing. Hard low-e glazing can be temperable and its handling is comfortable because its coating film is a oxide film generated at high temperatures. But there is a fatal weakness that its insulation performance and shielding performance are lower compared to soft low-e glazing by low electrical conductivity of coating film. Soft low-e glazing is excellent because its coating film consists of Ag that is excellent electrical conductivity and it has strength that can supply various product consumers want. But soft low-e glazing has weaknesses that temperable and handling are difficult because Ag is oxidized easily. Therefore this study analyzes thermal performance of glazing by changing filling gas according to applying low-e glazing through simulation to judge performance before making sample. After this process, a comparative experimental study was done through TVS by making temperable low-e glazing.

Effect of Al2O3-ZrO2 Composite Oxide Thickness on Electrical Properties of Etched Al Foil

  • To increase the capacitance of an Al electrolytic capacitor, the anodic oxide film, $Al_2O_3$, was partly replaced by an $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ (Al-Zr) composite film prepared by the vacuum infiltration method and anodization. The microstructure and composition of the prepared samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The coated and anodized samples showed multi-layer structures, which consisted of an inner Al hydrate layer, a middle Al-Zr composite layer, and an outer $Al_2O_3$ layer. The thickness of the coating layer could go up to 220 nm when the etched Al foil was coated 8 times. The electrical properties of the samples, such as specific capacitance, leakage current, and withstanding voltages, were also characterized after anodization at 100 V and 600 V. The capacitances of samples with $ZrO_2$ coating were 36.3% and 27.5% higher than those of samples without $ZrO_2$ coating when anodized at 100 V and 600 V, respectively.

동력전달용 기계부품의 물성 확보를 위한 인라인 인산염 피막처리 공정기술개발 (Research on the Development of Inline Phosphate Coating Process Technology to Secure the Properties of Parts for Power Transmission Machinery)

  • The steel wire or steel bar processing process applied to the manufacture of various bolts and power transmission shafts was improved by applying in-line phosphate film treatment technology. By applying a polymer lubricant for a non-reactive metal forming process and a non-reactive non-phosphorus lubricating coating agent, the film formation for each process time was comparatively analyzed and reviewed. Compared to the nine processes applied previously, the in-line phosphate film treatment technology applied with only two processes has been effectively improved in terms of reduction of treatment time, reduction of facility installation area, prevention of water pollution due to wastewater, and non-use of ozone-depleting substances. In addition, it was found that it can have an important effect on productivity improvement and price competitiveness from the simplification of quality control and process control as well as improvement of the working environment.

Investigation of Functional 6061 Aluminum Alloy Oxide Film with Anodization Voltage and its Corrosion Resistance

  • This study investigated the formation of oxide films on 6061 aluminum (Al) alloy and their impacts on corrosion resistance efficiency by regulating anodization voltage. Despite advantageous properties inherent to Al alloys, their susceptibility to corrosion remains a significant limitation. Thus, enhancing corrosion resistance through developing protective oxide films on alloy surfaces is paramount. The first anodization was performed for 6 h with an applied voltage of 30, 50, or 70 V on the 6061 Al alloy. The second anodization was performed for 0.5 h by applying 40 V after removing the existing oxide film. Resulting oxide film's shape and roughness were analyzed using field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Wettability and corrosion resistance were compared before and after a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) using an FDTS (1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-Perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane) solution. As the first anodization voltage increased, the final oxide film's thickness and pore diameter also increased, resulting in higher surface roughness. Consequently, all samples exhibited superhydrophilic behavior before coating. However, contact angle after coating increased as the first anodization voltage increased. Notably, the sample anodized at 70 V with superhydrophobic characteristics after coating demonstrated the highest corrosion resistance performance.

실리콘 변성 에폭시 코팅 액의 제조와 물성 (Preparation and Properties of Silicone-Modified Epoxy Coating Materials)

  • ${\alpha},{\omega}$-Aminopropylpolydimethylsiloxane을 bisphenol-A diglycidyl ether (DGEBA)계 이관능성 에폭시 수지와 반응시켜 polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)의 양 말단에 에폭시가 도입된 실리콘 변성 에폭시 수지(EMPDMS)를 제조한 다음 alkylesteraminopropyl alkoxy silane (XD 5607)을 반응시켜 PDMS가 도입된 에폭시 hybrid 화합물(EMPDMSH)을 제조하고 이를 FT-IR, $^1H$-NMR 및 $^{29}Si$-NMR로 구조를 확인하였다. EMPDMSH base 수지에 용매를 혼합하여 코팅 액을 제조하였으며, 이를 에폭시/유리 섬유 복합재료로 얻어진 필름에 도포하고 경화시킨 후 base수지 중에 함유된 PDMS의 함량에 따른 물성을 측정하였다. 코팅 면의 접촉각을 측정한 결과 기존의 에폭시 수지로 코팅하여 얻은 코팅 면에 비해 접촉각이 $41^{\circ}$에서 $71^{\circ}$로 약 $30^{\circ}$정도 증가되고 있어 코팅 면에 PDMS가 나타나 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 접착력 및 표면 평활도 개선효과 측정 결과 에폭시 자체 코팅 액이나 일반적으로 많이 사용되고 있는 아크릴계 코팅 액 보다 5B 등급의 뛰어난 접착력을 나타내었고 평활도 개선 효과도 우수함을 나타내었다.

Bend Resistance of Polymer Cement Slurry Coated Reinforcing Bars

  • The bend resistance of coated reinforcing bar is greatly influenced by both the adhesion strength between bar and coating materials, and the followed transformation of coating material as bars bend. Especially, tearing state or partial microscopic cracks are predicted on the inside and outside of bending angle, because tensile strength and elongation of polymer film are very different according to types of polymer dispersions in bar coating, and these damaged parts are rapidly corroded by penetration of corrosive factors. In this study, polymer cement slurry coated reinforcing bars with various polymer dispersions are prepared by following combined conditions, polymer-cement ratio of 50% and 100%, coating thickness of 250$\mu$m and 450$\mu$m, coating number, curing age of 3, 7, 14 and 28days. Then the specimens are tested for working life and bend resistance at bending angles $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$and $180^{\circ}$ to observe the microscopic damage effect as the bars bend. Also, epoxy-coated reinforcing bars for control experiment were used with 250$\mu$m of coating thickness. The tensile strength for polymer films is performed. From the test results, the working life of the polymer cement slurry is within 90 seconds. Among four types of polymer dispersion, polymer cement slurry coated reinforcing bar using St/BA-1 emulsion has the excellent bend resistance, which is remarkably improved than that of epoxy-coated reinforcing bar. And the bend resistance is more related to elongation than tensile strength of polymer film. Polymer cement slurry with a polymer-cement ratio of 100%, a coating thickness of $450\mu$m and one coating using St/BA emulsion is selected as a most suitable coating material for coated reinforcing bar.

공정 온도에 따른 사면체 비정질 카본 (ta-C) 코팅의 트라이볼로지적 특성연구 (Effects of Process Temperature on the Tribological Properties of Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C) Coating)

  • In this study, mechanical and tribological properties were investigated by varying the process temperature (50, 100, 125 and 150℃) to reduce internal stress. The internal stress reduction by thermal dissociation ta-C coating film with increasing temperature is confirmed through the curvature radius of the ta-C coating according to the temperature of the SUS plate. As the coating temperature increased, the mechanical properties (hardness, modulus, toughness) deteriorated, which is in agreement with the Raman analysis results. As the temperature increased, the sp2 phase ratio increased owing to the dissociation of the sp3 phase. The friction and wear properties are related to the process temperature during ta-C coating. Low friction and wear properties are observed in high hardness samples manufactured at 50℃, and wear resistance properties decreased with increasing temperature. The contact area is expected to increase owing to the decrease of hardness(72 GPa to 39 GPa) and fracture toughness with increasing temperature which accelerated wear because of the debris generated. It was confirmed that at process temperature of over than 100℃, the bond structure of the carbon film changed, and the effect of excellent internal stress was reduced. However, the wear resistance simultaneously decreased owing to the reduction in fracture toughness. Therefore, in order to increase industrial utilization, optimum temperature conditions that reduce internal stress and retain mechanical properties.

  • 대형 진공증착기내에 대형 피코팅물 고정대를 방사형으로 배치고 대용량의 피코팅물이 균일하게 코팅되도록 공전과 자전을 병행하도록 하여, 1회 진공으로 피코팅물의 양면을 동시에 코팅하므로 증착시간을 절약하고 전력소비를 줄일 수 있으며 대기중 이물질에 의한 오염방지를 할 수 있었다. 내부에 이중 전자빔을 설치하여 자동 다층막 증착이 가능하며, 유효증착면적을 크게 할 수 있었다. 이런 장치를 이용하여 증착 시간의 30% 단축, 작업 생산성 50% 향상과 아울러 증착막의 전도막 특성도 향상되었으며 증착막의 균일도도 향상되었다. 증착막의 광학적 특성인 반사방지 투과율 특성도 향상되었다.
