  • YBCO Coated Conductor is named by Second generation Superconductor Tapes. It is different with First generation Superconductor Tapes. YBCO Coated Tape's Specific difference with BSCCO Tape is more strong mechanical Durability. This is important role to apply to Superconducting Machines. For mechanical transforming of YBCO Coated Tapes, We are using the well designed former. The Merit of Transformation is several. First, We vary the Superconducting Characteristics according to mechanical stress. Second, We reduce the Volume of Superconductor, So We achieve reducing the volume of Superconducting Machines. On this Study, We experiment the transporting Current Characteristics of two types YBCO Coated Conductor. The one is Stainless Stabilized YBCO Conductor, and the other one is Copper Stabilized YBCO Conductor.

진공아크방전으로 제작된 다이아몬드상 탄소 박막이 코팅된 실리콘 전계 방출 소자의 전계 방출 특성 (Field emission properties of the silicon field emission arrays coated with diamond-like carbon film prepared by filtered cathodic vacuum arc technique)

  • We have fabricated the field emitter arrays coated with diamond-like carbon (DLC) films that improved the field emission characteristics. The nitrogen doped DLC films are prepared by the filtered cathodic vacuum are (FCVA) tehnique. The activation energy of the nitrogen doped DLC films are derived from electrical conductivity measurements. The silicon field emission arrays (FEAs) were prepared by the VLSI technique. The turn-on field was rapidly decreasing and the emission current was remarkably increasing the DLC-coated FEAs than the non-coated silicon FEAs. In the nitrogen doped FEAs, the turn-on field decreased and the emission current increased with increasing the nitrogen found out the field emission current and the work function of the DLC-coated FEAs was remarkably decreased than that of the non-coated silicon FEAs. As nitrogen doping concentrations are increased the work function of FEAs is decreased and the field emission properties are improved in nitrogen doped DLC-coated FEAs. This phenomenon in due the fact that the Fermi energy level moves to the conduction band by increasing nitrogen doping concentration.

연속 공정 PVD 방법에 의한 coated conductor 제조 (Fabrication of coated conductor by continuous PVD methods)

  • 다층의 산화물 박막 구조를 갖는 coated conductor의 장선 제조를 위해서는 연속 증착 공정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 RABiTs와 IBAD 공정을 사용한 texture template을 사용하였으며, 금속 테잎을 연속적으로 이동하면서 증착할 수 있는 박막증착 장치(PLD, sputtering, evaporation)를 구축하여 PVD 방법으로 coated conductor를 제조하였다. $CeO_2/YSZ/Y_2O_3$의 완충층을 sputtering 과 evaporation을 이용하여 2축배향성을 가지는 NiW 위에 연속적으로 증착하였다. YBCO 초전도층은 연속 PLD 방법으로 증착하고, Tc, Ic, XRD, SEM을 통해 그 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 RABiTS template을 사용하여 Ic가 34A/cm(@77K)인 0.4m 길이의 coated conductor를 제조하였다. IBAD template를 사용하여 Ic가 34A/cm(@77K)인 0.5m길이의 coated conductor를 제조하였고, Jc는 $1.2MA/cm^2$ 이였다.

옥수수 전분 및 자당에 의한 Casein 과 포도당 간의 갈변반응 저지효과 (Effect of Preventing the Maillard Reaction between Casein and Glucose with Corn Starch and Sucrose)

  • 옥수수 전분에 의한 casein과 포도당간의 갈변반응 저지효과를 검토하기 위하여 반응물에 전분을 15% 첨가한 용액을 냉동 건조하여 전분 보호막을 설치하는 방법으로 casein만 보호한 경우, casein과 포도당을 동시에 보호한 경우, 동시보호시 자당을 첨가한 경우와 무보호 경우 등으로 구분하여 RH 67%, 저장온도 $37^{\circ}C,\;42^{\circ}C$$50^{\circ}C$에서 30일간 저장하여 갈변반응을 시킨 후 비갈변구를 대조구로 하여 갈색도를 측정 하였다. 전분 보초효과를 인정할 수 있는 유의차를 보인 $37^{\circ}C$ 저장 경우에 한하여 아미노산 함량변화, in vitro 아미노산 소화율, in vitro available lysine 함량 및 fructosy1-lysine생성량 등을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 아미노산의 함량은 16g질소당 g으로 표시하였을 경우 Arg과 Cys을 제외하고는 전분 첨가에 관계없이 갈변에 의하여 증가하였고 전분 첨가효과는 없었다. In vitro 아미노산의 소화율은 총 필수 및 비필수아미노산에 있어서 전분첨가에 관계없이 갈변에 의하여 $6.0{\sim}11.7%$$3.7{\sim}5.9%$ 감소하였고 개별 아미노산의 경우 lysine이 $32.7{\sim}45.4%$ 감소하여 갈변에 의한 가장 격심한 소화율 감소를 나타내었다. 전분 첨가에 의한 보호효과를 보면 전분 및 자당을 동시 첨가한 자당첨가동시보호구가 무보호갈변 경우에 비하여 18.5%의 lysine 소화율 증가를 나타내었다. In vitro available lysine의 함량은 전분첨가에 관계없이 갈변에 의하여 $27.8{\sim}40.0%$ 감소하였고. 전분 첨가에 의한 보호효과를 보면 전분과 자당을 동시첨가한 자당첨가동시보호구가 무보호 갈변경우에 비하여 20.5%정도 증가하였다. Fructosyl-lysine의 함량은 전분 첨가에 관계없이 갈변에 의하여 10배 이상 증가하였고 전분 첨가에 의한 보호효과를 보면 보호 방법에 관계없이 보호구가 무보호 갈변구에 비하여 $12.6{\sim}15.8%$ 정도 감소하였다.

  • 자기기록매체에 적합한 실리카 피착 ${\gamma}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ 제조에 있어서 실리카 피착의 효과와 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 특히 ${\gamma}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ 제조시 열처리단계에 있어서 실리카 피착의 효과와 분말의 특성과의 상관관계를 조사하는데 연구의 중점을 두었다. 수산화철 표면에 무기물질인 실리카성분을 물유리를 사용하여 피착한 시료와 피복하지않은 시료를 후속 열처리하여 ${\gamma}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$를 제조한후 이들 분말의 특성을 조사하였다. ${\gamma}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$에 피복된 실리카 피착층은 환원 시 과환원과 급속한 산화반응을 억제하는 확산장벽으로 작용하여 최종제품내에 ${\alpha}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$의 혼입을 방지하기 때문에 실리카 피복된 ${\gamma}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$는 높은 자화특성을 나타내었다. 또한 실리카 피척층은 소결 억제제로 작용하여 실리카가 피복된 시료의 경우 침상성이 우수하여 높은 보자력과 비표면적을 나타내었다.

용융염 침적법에 의한 VC Coating 금형강의 인성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Toughness of Die Steel Coated with VC (vanadium carbide) by Immersing in Molten Borax Bath)

  • Bending fracture strength test and impact strength test were made for VC coated die steels treated by immersing in molten borax bath and for hardened steels which were quenched and tempered, in order to clarify the effect of VC coating at $1000^{\circ}C$. The material used in this investigation was representative cold and hot work die steels STD11, STD61. The results obtained are as follows. 1) The bending fracture strength of VC coated die steel (STD11, STD61) was lessened with increasing the thickness of the VC coated layer. 2) With increasing the immersing time (imcreasing the thickness of the VC coated layer) the maximum hardness was obtained at 480 minutes holding, after that holding time hardness was decreased. 3) The impact strength of the VC coated die steel was not decreased. In the casse of STD11, it was higher than that of the quenched condition especially at low tempering temperature, and vice versa at high tempering temperature. However in the case of STD61 shows the result to the contrary.

  • Recently High Temperature Superconductor(HTS) Tape is limelight of the applied superconducting machines. Mainly used superconducting tape are BSCCO tape and YBCO coated tape. These superconducting tape are applied such as SMES, superconducting generator and MAGLEV. Actually superconductor tape's experimental gauge is short. For this reason, experiment was conducted. Firstly length of 50cm BSCCO, YBCO Coated conductor@Cu and YBCO coated conductor@sus are prepared. and flow the over-current. Secondly, BSCCO and Coated conductor connected with lenth of 25cm and flow the over-current. Coupled line of HTS tape was compared with single line of HTS tape and these overcurrent characteristics was investigated.

  • YBCO coated conductor, also called the 2nd generation high temperature superconducting wire, consists of oxide multi-layer hetero-epitaxial thin films. Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) is one of many film deposition methods used to make coated conductor, and is the one known to be the best to make superconducting layer so far. As a part of the effort to make long length coated conductor, the optimum deposition condition of YBCO film on single crystal substrate (SrTiO3) was investigated using PLD. Substrate temperature, oxygen partial pressure, and laser fluence were varied to find the best combination to grow high quality YBCO film.

  • In general, high temperature superconducting coated conductors have intermediary buffers layer consisting of seed, diffusion barrier and cap layers. Simplification of the oxide materials buffer architecture in the fabrication of high temperature superconducting coated conductors is required because the deposition of multi-layers buffer architecture leads to a longer manufacturing time and a higher cost process of coated conductors. Thus, single buffer layer deposition seems to be important for practical coated conductor manufacturing process. In this study, a single gradient layered buffer deposition process of YZO for low cost coated conductors has been tried using DC reactive sputtering technique. About several thick YZO gradient single buffer layers deposited by DC co-sputtering process were found to act as a diffusion layer.

  • For mechanical and electrical stability and environment protection, Cu and stainless steel stabilizer is laminated to Ag layer to produce a composite neutral-axis(N-A) architecture in which the YBCO layer is centered between the oxide buffered metallic substrate and stabilizer strip lamination. this architecture allows the wire to meet operational requirements including stresses at cryogenic temperature, winding tensions, mechanical bending requirements thermal and electrical stability under fault conditions. we have experimentally studied mechanical properties of laminated stainless steel stabilizer on YBCO coated conductors. we have laminated YBCO coated conductors by continuous dipping soldering process. we have investigated lamination interface between solder and stabilizer, YBCO coated conductor. we evaluated bonding properties tensile / shear bonding strength, peeling strength laminated YBCO coated conductors.
