Co-Cr alloy의 열처리에 따른 표면개질의 영향 (Effect of Surface Modification by Heat Treatment of Co-Cr Alloy)

  • The Co-Cr alloys have clinical histories in dental and orthopaedic implants, and recently in cardiovascular stent applications because the alloys exhibit a high elastic modulus and radiopacity. In order to improve mechanical property of the Co-Cr alloys, electropolishing is employed as the final process. Electropolishing, an anodic dissolution process in the transpassive state, is sensitively affected by process conditions such as current density, machining time, electrode gap. In this study, the effect of heat treatment conditions on surface roughness and inclusion analysis is investigated in Co-Cr alloy (L605). The most smooth surface of Co-Cr alloy is obtained when electropolishing is performed at 15-20 V for 15-30 sec with a electrode gap of 3.5 mm.

Effect of C/Ti Atomic Ratio of TiCx Raw Powder on the Properties of Ti-Mo-W-TiC Sintered Hard Alloy

  • We have studied the effect of C/Ti atomic ratio of TiCx (x=0.5, 0.75 and 1.0) raw powder on the properties of the Ti-Mo-WTiC sintered hard alloy. The decrease of C/Ti atomic ratio accelerated the densification in the sintering process. The hardness was remarkably improved up to 1350HV with decreasing the C/Ti atomic ratio because of increase of TiCx phase volume content and its fine dispersion. From the results of electro-chemical tests in acid and 3% NaCl solutions, it was obvious that every alloy had excellent corrosion resistance, which meant about 200 times better than that of WC-Co cemented carbide.

무전해 Co-W-P 합금 도금 층의 미세구조와 자기적 특성 (Micro-Structure and Magnetic Properties of Electroless Co-W-P Alloy Deposits Formed)

  • 본 연구에서는 NaH$_2$PO$_2$$H_2O$ (차아인산이수소나트륨)을 환원제로 사용한 무전해 도금법을 이용하여 corning glass 2948 유리기판 위에 Co-W-P 도금층을 제조할 때, pH 및 온도에 따른 석출속도, 합금조성 및 미세구조와 자기적 특성을 고찰하였다. 무전해 Co-P 도금층은 석출전위에 따라 산성에서 석출되지 않고 알칼리성에서만 환원석출반응에 의해 형성되었으며, 석출속도는 pH와 온도가 증가할수록 상승하여 pH 10, 온도 8$0^{\circ}C$일 때 가장 우수하였다. 자기적 특성은 pH 9, 온도 7$0^{\circ}C$일 때 보자력 870Oe, 각형비 0.78로 가장 우수하였으며, 이때, Co-P 도금층의 인(P)의 함량은 2.54%, 두께는 0.216$\mu\textrm{m}$였다. 결정배향은 $\beta$-Co의 fcc는 발견되지 않았고, $\alpha$-Co의 hcp(1010), (0002), (1011) 방향의 결정배향을 확인할 수 있었으며, (1010), (1011) 방향이 우선 배향한 것으로 보아 수평자기벡터를 형성함을 확인할 수 있었다. 무전해 Co-W-P 도금층의 경우는 자기적 특성에서 보자력은 500Oe, 각형비는 0.6 정도의 경향을 보였지만, 결정배향에 있어서는 $\alpha$-Co (0002) 방향으로 우선 배향하여 수직자화벡터를 형성함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 합금조성에 있어 인(P)의 함량은 0.8$\pm$0.2%로 일정하였고, W의 석출량은 $Na_2$WO$_4$의 농도가 증가할수록 증가하여 0.1mol/L일 때 20%이였다. 수소가스를 이용한 환원분위기에서 10$0^{\circ}C$간격으로 1시간씩 40$0^{\circ}C$까지 열처리에 따른 자기적 특성과 미세구조의 변화를 확인하여 본 결과 Co-W-P는 열처리에 따라 표면의 평활도는 향상되었지만, 자기적 특성과 미세구조에는 아무런 변화가 없었다.

Pt-Co 합금박막 측온저항체 온도센서의 제작 (Fabrication of Pt-Co Alloy Thin Films RTD Temperature Sensors)

  • Platinum-Cobalt alloy thin films were deposited on Al$_2$O$_3$ substrate by r.f. cosputtering for RTD temperature sensors. We made Pt-Co alloy resistance patterns on the Al$_2$O$_3$ substrate by lift-off method and investigated the physical and electrical characteristics of these films under various conditions (the input power, working vacuum, annealing temperature, thickness of thin films) and also after annealing these films. At input power of Pt : 4.4 W/$\textrm{cm}^2$, Co : 6.91 W/$\textrm{cm}^2$, working vacuum on and annealing conditions of 1000 $^{\circ}C$ and 60 min, the resistivity and the sheet resistive thin films were 15 ${\mu}$$\Omega$$.$cm and 0.5 $\Omega$/$\square$, respectively. The TCR value of Pt-Co a films was measured with various thickness of thin films and annealing temperature. T TCR value is gained under condition 3000${\AA}$ of thin films thickness and 1000$^{\circ}C$ of temperature. These results indicate that Pt-Co alloy thin films have potentiality for the wide temperature ranges.

고밀도화 공정에 의한 Fe-Co 계 밸브시트 합금의 조직변화와 열적 특성 (Thermal Properties and Microstructural Changes of Fe-Co System Valve Seat Alloy by High Densification Process)

  • Infiltration is a popular technique used to produce valve seat rings and guides to create dense parts. In order to develop valve seat material with a good thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient, Cu-infiltrated properties of sintered Fe-Co-M(M=Mo,Cr) alloy systems are studied. It is shown that the copper network that forms inside the steel alloy skeleton during infiltration enhances the thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient of the steel alloy composite. The hard phase of the CoMoCr and the network precipitated FeCrC phase are distributed homogeneously as the infiltrated Cu phase increases. The increase in hardness of the alloy composite due to the increase of the Co, Ni, Cr, and Cu contents in Fe matrix by the infiltrated Cu amount increases. Using infiltration, the thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient were increased to 29.5 W/mK and $15.9um/m^{\circ}C$, respectively, for tempered alloy composite.

MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF NANOCRYSTALLINE (Fe,Co)-B-Al-M (M=Nb/Mo/Ta) ALLOYS

  • Soft magnetic properties of Fe-based (Fe,Co)-B-Al-M (M=Nb, Mo or Ta) nanocrystalline alloy have been investigated. The alloy obtained directly form the rapid solidification process. Microstructure of the alloy is a mixtu re of ultrafine bcc Fe(Co) nanocrystallines and a small amount of retained amorphous phase. Heat treatment of as-prepared alloys improves soft magnetic properties in high frequency range. ${(Fe_{.85}Co_{.15})}_{70}B_{18}Al_{10}Ta_{6}$ alloy alloy annealed at $500^{\circ}C$ for 1 h shows the most improved soth magnetic properties among the alloy examined. Average grain size of the nanocystalline is about 10 nm.

Study of Coercivity Origin in Mechanically Alloyed Co-Zr System

  • [ $Co_{100-X}Zr_X$ ] (x=10-40) alloys were prepared by using a mechanical alloying technique. Phase constitution of the crystallised material depended on the annealing temperature. The $Co_{82}Zr_{18}$ alloy crystallised at lower temperature around $550^{\circ}C$ consisted of $Co_{23}Zr_6$, $Co_5Zr$ and fcc-Co phases, while the alloy crystallised at higher temperature around $800^{\circ}C$ consisted of $Co_{23}Zr_6$ and fcc-Co phases. Phase constitution of the crystallised material also depended on the chemical composition of the alloy. The material with lower Zr content less than 10 at% Zr consisted of $Co_{23}Zr_6$ and fcc-Co, and the material with higher Zr-content over 30 at% consisted of $Co_2Zr$ phase. The material containing 15-20 at% Zr consisted of $Co_{23}Zr_6$, $Co_5Zr$ and fcc-Co. Only the material containing $Co_5Zr$ phase exhibited substantial coercivity, and it was confirmed that coercivity in the mechanically alloyed Co-Zr alloy was originated from the $Co_5Zr$ phase.

NMOS 소자의 Ta-Ti 게이트 전극 특성 (Characteristics of Ta-Ti Gate Electrode for NMOS Device)

  • 본 논문에서는 오래 전부터 NMOS의 게이트 전극으로 사용된 폴리실리콘을 대체할 수 있는 Ta-Ti 합금의 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 실리콘 기판 위에 열적으로 성장된 $SiO_2$ 위에 Ta과 Ti의 두 타깃을 사용하여 co-sputterring 방법으로 Ta-Ti 합금을 증착하였다. 각각의 타깃은 100W의 sputtering power로 증착하여 시편을 제작하였다. 또한 비교 분석을 위하여 Ta을 100W의 sputtering power로 증착한 시편도 제작하였다. 제작된 Ta-Ti 합금 게이트의 열적/화학적 안정성을 검토하기 위하여 $600^{\circ}C$에서 급속열처리를 수행한 결과 소자의 성능 저하는 나타나지 않았다. 또한 전기적 특성 분석 결과 Ta-Ti 합금은 NMOS에 적합한 일함수인 4.13eV를 산출해 낼 수 있었고, 면저항 역시 폴리실리콘에 비해 낮은 값을 얻을 수 있었다.
