Preparation of Co-Cr-Ta recording layers by FTS (FIS에 의한 Co-Cr-Ta 기록층의 제작)

  • The Co-Cr-Ta films are one of the most suitable candidates for perpendicular magnetic recording media. The facing targets sputtering(FTS) system has a advantage of preparing films over a wide range of working gas pressure on plasma-free substrates. In this study, we investigated the effect underlayers on the growths layers of Co-Cr-Ta recording layers. The Co-Cr-Ta/Ti(CoCr) double layers were deposited with sputter gas pressure$(P_N, 0.3-1mTorr)$ by using FTS apparatus at temperature of$40^{\circ}C~-300^{\circ}C$, respectively. Crystallographic and magnetic characteristics were evaluated by x-ray diffractometry(XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM), respectively.

  • In order to develop an ultra-thin CoCr perpendicular magnetic recording layer, we prepared CoCrTa/Ti double layer for perpendicular magnetic recording media by new facing targets sputtering system, Crystallgraphics and magnetic characteristics of CoCrTa on underlayer substrate temperature have been investigated. Crystallgraphic and magnetic characteristic of thin films were evaluated by X-ray diffractometry(XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) and atomic force microscopy(AFM). The coercivity and anisotropy field was increased by increasing under layer substrate temperature, c-axis orientation of CoCrTa magnetic recording layer was improved 8$^{\circ}$ to 5.6$^{\circ}$when under layer substrate temperature was 250[$^{\circ}C$]. Also, through annealing effect for CoCrTa/Ti double layer, it was certain that crystallgraphics and magnetic characteristics was improved.

VMn underlayer for CoCrPt Longitudinal Media

  • In this study, effects of novel VMn underlayer on magnetic properties of CoCrPt/VMn longitudinal medium was studied and compared with those of CoCrPt/Cr medium. It was found that the VMn film had (200) preferred orientation and the lattice constant was about 0.2967 nm, which is slightly larger than that of the Cr, 0.2888 nm. The grain size of VMn film was 9.3 nm at 30 nm thickness, and this is about 38 % smaller than that of a similarly deposited Cr film. The CoCrPt/VMn films showed higher coercivity in comparison with the CoCrPt/Cr films. The coercivity increase seems to be attributed to the increased Co (11.0) texture, improved lattice matching between Co (11.0) and VMn (200), and lower stacking fault density. Mn must have diffused into the CoCrPt magnetic layer more uniformly rather than preferentially along grain boundaries this reduced Ms at higher substrate temperature

Fabrication and Characteristics of Li-doped ZnO Thin Films for SAW Filter Applications

  • Li-doped ZnO films were prepared on Corning 1737 glass substrate by an rf magnetron sputtering technique using ZnO targets with various $Li_2CO_3$ contents ranging from 0 to 10 mol%. The effects of Li doping on the crystallinity and electrical properties of ZnO films were studied for their SAW filter applications. The film resistivity largely increased without suppressing the c-axis orientation and crystallinity with a small addition of Li. Heat treatment of the film at 40$0^{\circ}C$ induced that the film resistivity, c-axis orientation and crystallinity slightly increased. However, heat treatment of the film at 50$0^{\circ}C$ resulted in much lower resistivity than that of as-deposited film due to the increase of electron concentration caused by the evaporationof Li atoms from the ZnO film. Large addition of Li into the ZnO film rather diminished the film resistivity and suppressed the c-axis growth. It was concluded that a small doping of Li into the ZnO film and heat treatment at 40$0^{\circ}C$ caused the film resistivity to be high enough for SAW filter applications without suppression of the c-axis orientation and crystallinity.

SALS Study on Transcrystallization and Fiber Orientation in Glass Fiber/Polypropylene Composites

  • This report presents a new technical approach for evaluating the fiber orientation of composites using small-angle light scattering (SALS). Glass fiber (GF)/polypropylene (PP) composites with different fiber orientations were prepared by drawing compression-molded specimens. The drawn samples were remelted and then annealed at $150^{\circ}C$ in order to induce a crystalline structure on the fiber surface, and then underwent SALS analysis. The samples showed a combination of circular and streak patterns. The model calculations demonstrated that the number of nuclei on the fiber surface and the thickness of the transcrystalline layer affected the sharpness and intensity of the streak pattern. In addition, the azimuthal angle of the streak pattern was found to be dependent on the direction of the transcrystalline layer, which correlated with the fiber direction. This correlation suggests that the fiber orientation in the composites can be easily evaluated using SALS.

  • This study's research method was to investigate the effects of career development in the field of beauty on organizational commitment. A survey targeted 271 beauty workers living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. For data analysis, SPSS 21.0 was used for statistical processing. First, descriptive statistics were analyzed, followed by a factor analysis and reliability analysis, third, correlation analysis, and finally linear regression analysis. Detailed research results are as follows. First, the effect of career development of beauty workers and organizational commitment was investigated. The result is as follows. The independent variables, self-development, goal orientation, and career orientation, which are sub-variables of career development, were found to have a statistically significant positive effect. Second, the effect of career development of beauty workers on co-workers' organizational commitment was investigated. The result is as follows. By the independent variable, self-development, and career orientation, which are sub-variables of career development, are found to have a significant positive effect. However, goal orientation had no effect. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the implications are as follows. As beauty is a creative pursuit, it is often done in collaboration rather than alone, and therefore camaraderie plays an important part in the foundation of a commitment to a company. It is a field that goes after a goal after committing to a community mindset, instead of pursuing a goal alone.

A Study on the Role of Locomotion Orientation as an Antecedent of Salespeople' Selling Behavior

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the locomotion orientation on salespeople' sales performance with the mediating effect of selling behavior(adaptive selling behavior, SOCO). And we figure out the relationship between customer-oriented selling behavior and adaptive selling behavior because those relationships are not clear. The authors infer research hypotheses based on literature review. We have confirmed the reliability and validity test and those results can be acceptable. Hypotheses test were conducted with structural equation modeling, AMOS. All paths in the research model reasoned by authors have been supported statistically at the significant level. This study with the theoretical implications is as follows. First, this study is the first attempt to investigate the path between locomotion orientation and adaptive selling behavior and SOCO. Secondly, there is an empirical conflict between our study and Franke and Park(2006)'s study. Our study was contradictory to Franke and Park(2006)'s consequences. And so, figuring out clearly those causal paths remains. This study with practical implications are as follows. First of all, the salespeople' selling performance was affected by adaptive selling behavior, customer-oriented selling behavior, and sales-oriented activities, such as the importance of selling behavior once again proven. It is necessary to enhance the capabilities that can be transformed into action appropriate to the needs of customers each sales step-by-step in the process of salespeople for various system through education and incentives, and to interact with customers and understand their customers relative to salespeople will. In order to enhance adaptive selling behavior, the company needs to do educational program and monitoring system with the positional promotion when salespeople get the high adaptive selling behavior. Secondly, the locomotion orientation of the salespeople is to cause this selling behavior. Management style to increase locomotion orientation is needed, which means, salespeople' superior about something should be conducted. In order to stimulate the selling behavior of the salespeople, most supervisors should use some managerial tools such as feedback, engagement, and rewards.

Magnetic properties due to variation of microstructure of Co-Cr thin films (Co-Cr 박막의 미세구조 변화에 따른 자기적 특성)

  • Sputter deposited Co-Cr thin films been developed continuously as one of the major candidates for high density recording media. In this study, Co-26at%Cr thin films with c-axis oriented normal to substrate surface were prepared by a improved facing targets sputtering system. We find that the effect of microstructural changes of the sputtered Co-Cr thin films on magnetic properties and changes of crystal orientation due to the variation of substrate temperature.

It was found that the VMn film had (200) preferred orientation and the lattice constant was about 0.2967 nm, which is slightly larger than that of the Cr film, 0.2888 m. The grain size of the VMn film was 9.8 nm at 30 m thickness, about 39% smaller than that of a similarly deposited Cr. The CoCrPt/VMn films showed higher coercivity in comparison with the CoCrPt/Cr films. The coercivity increase is attributed to the increased Co (11.0) texture, improved lattice matching between Co (11.0) and VMn (200), and lower stacking fault density. V or Mn must have diffused into the CoCrPt magnetic layer uniformly rather than preferentially along grain boundaries. This reduced Ms at higher substrate temperature.

Growth Behavior and Thermal Stability of CoSi2 Layer on Poly-Si Substrate Using Reactive Chemical Vapor Deposition (반응성 CVD를 이용한 다결정 실리콘 기판에서의 CoSi2 layer의 성장거동과 열적 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • Uniform polycrystalline $CoSi_2$layers have been grown in situ on a polycrystalline Si substrate at temperature near $625^{\circ}C$ by reactive chemical vapor deposition of cyclopentadienyl dicarbonyl cobalt, Co(η$^{5}$ -C$_{5}$ H$_{5}$ )(CO)$_2$. The growth behavior and thermal stability of $CoSi_2$layer grown on polycrystalline Si substrates were investigated. The plate-like CoSi$_2$was initially formed with either (111), (220) or (311) interface on polycrystalline Si substrate. As deposition time was increasing, a uniform epitaxial $CoSi_2$layer was grown from the discrete $CoSi_2$plate, where the orientation of the$ CoSi_2$layer is same as the orientation of polycrystalline Si grain. The interface between $CoSi_2$layer and polycrystalline Si substrate was always (111) coherent. The growth of the uniform $CoSi_2$layer had a parabolic relationship with the deposition time. Therefore we confirmed that the growth of $CoSi_2$layer was controlled by diffusion of cobalt. The thermal stability of $CoSi_2$layer on small grain-sized polycrystalline Si substrate has been investigated using sheet resistance measurement at temperature from $600^{\circ}C$ to $900^{\circ}C$. The $CoSi_2$layer was degraded at $900^{\circ}C$. Inserting a TiN interlayer between polycrystalline Si and $_CoSi2$layers improved the thermal stability of $CoSi_2$layer up to $900^{\circ}C$ due to the suppression of the Co diffusion.
