CoCr(-Ta)/Si 이층막의 c-축 우선 배향성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the c-axis preferred orientation of CoCr(-Ta)/Si doublelayer)

  • In odor to set high saturation magnetization and coercivity, it had need to orient axis of easy magnetization of CoCr-based thin film perpendicular direction(c-axis) to the substrate plane. It was known that crystalline orientation of CoCr-based thin film was improved by introducing underlayer like Ti, Ge. We prepared singlelayer and double layer with Si underlayer by Facing Targets Sputtering System. As a result, intensity and c-axis dispersion angle ${\Delta}{\theta}_{50}$ of singlelayer were improved with increasing film thickness. Also, it was found that CoCr/Si and CoCrTa/Si double layer showed good c-axis dispersion angle due to introducing Si.

  • 강자성 공명 실험을 사용하여 고주파 마그네트론 스파터링 방법으로 제작된 $Co_{79}Cr_{21}(at.%)$ 박막의 자기적 특성을 조사하였다. $Co_{79}Cr_{21}$ 박막은 $K=2.91{\times}10^{5}\;erg/cm^{3},\;H_{k}'=2526\;Oe,\;g=2.17$인 특성을 보이며, Q-band 강자성 공명 실험 결과와 토오크 실험결과는 서로 잘 일치함을 볼 수 있었다.

  • We demonstrate a novel selective patterning process of a semiconducting polymer for channel regions to fabricate an array of organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). This process is applicable for various organic films over large area. A reflective liquid crystal display based on the OTFT array was produced using the selective patterning through a wettability control.

다시마 Alginate의 추출조건이 alginate 필름의 성질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of extracting conditions on film properties of seatangle alginate)

  • 생분해성이며 가식성 alginate 필름을 가공하기 위하여 추출용 액의 $Na_2CO_3$ 농도와 추출시간을 달리하여 alginate를 추출하고, 동 alginate로 제조한 alginate 필름의 수증기 투과율과 장력성의 변화를 측정하였다. 추출용액중의 $Na_2CO_3$ 농도의 증가 및 추출시간의 연장과 더불어 alginate의 점도와 중합도는 감소하였다. 저점도 alginate로 만든 alginate 필름은 높은 수증기투과율을 보였다. 가소제로서 사용된 sorbitol과 polyethylene glycol 첨가는 필름의 수증기투과율과 인장강도를 현저히 낮추는 효과를 보였다. Alginate의 추출시간은 alginate필름의 수중기투과율과 신장성에 미치는 영향이 적었으나 alginate 중합도는 인장강도에 직접적으로 영향을 미쳤다.

  • Thick film formaldehyde (HCHO) gas sensors were fabricated by using $La_1_{-x}Sr_xMO_3$ (M= Fe, Co, Mn) ceramics. The powders of $La_1_{-x}Sr_xMO_3$ (M=Fe, Co, Mn) were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method. By using the $La_1_{-x}Sr_xMO_3$ (M=Fe, Co, Mn) paste, the thick-film formaldehyde sensors were prepared on the alumina substrate by silkscreen printing method. The experimental results revealed that $La_1_{-x}Sr_xMO_3$ (M= Fe, Co, Mn) ceramic powder has a perovskite structure and the thick-film sensor shows excellent gas-sensing characteristics to formaldehyde gas (sensitivity of $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}FeO_3$, S= 14.7 at operating temperature of $150^{\circ}C$ in 50 ppm HCHO ambient).

  • Octadecylamine is an effective film-forming amine that protects carbon steel from corrosion. In the present study, the effect of octadecylamine concentration on adsorption on a carbon steel surface was investigated in anaerobic alkaline solution by using SEM/EDS, TEM and the Materials Studio simulation techniques. TEM morphology observation and EDS elemental detection determine the thicknesses of octadecylamine film on a carbon steel surface, which are confirmed by the in-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurement and resistance calculation. The Materials Studio simulation reveals the number of octadecylamine film layers at different concentrations. Results obtained in this study indicate that adsorption of octadecylamine film on carbon steel proceeds with the multi-layer adsorption mechanism.

증착온도를 달리하여 제조한 Zn0.8Co0.2O 박막의 미세조직 및 자기 특성 (Microstructure and Magnetic Properties of Pulsed DC Magnetron Sputtered Zn0.8Co0.2O Film Deposited at Various Substrate Temperatures)

  • We studied the microstructure and magnetic property of the pulsed DC magnetron sputtered $Zn_{\0.8}Co_{0.2}O$ film as a function of substrate temperatures. The X-ray patterns of the $Zn_{\0.8}Co_{0.2}O$ film showed a strong (002) preferential orientation at $500^{\circ}C$. The films with a crystallite size of 23-35 nm were grown in the form of nano-sized structure and this tendency was remarkable with increasing substrate temperature. The UV-visible result showed that the $Zn_{\0.8}Co_{0.2}O$ film prepared above $300^{\circ}C$ has a high optical transmittance of over $80\%$ in the visible region. The absorption bands were observed due to sp-d interchange action by $Co^{2+}$ complex ion and dd transition in the region from 500 to 700nm. The resistivity of the film was below $10^{-1}\;\Omega-cm\;above\;300^{\circ}C$. The AGM analysis results for the all films showed the magnetic hysteresis curves of ferromagnetic nature. The low electrical resistivity and room temperature ferromagnetism of ZnCoO thin films 'deposited above $300^{\circ}C$ suggested the possibility for the application to Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMSs).

Thermal Behavior of LixCoO2 Cathode and Disruption of Solid Electrolyte Interphase Film

  • Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and ion chromatography(IC) were employed to analyze the thermal behavior of $Li_xCoO_2$ cathode material of lithium ion battery. The mass loss peaks appearing between 60 and 125 ${^{\circ}C}$ in TGA and the exothermic peaks with 4.9 and 7.0 J/g in DSC around 75 and 85 ${^{\circ}C}$ for the $Li_xCoO_2$ cathodes of 4.20 and 4.35 V cells are explained based on disruption of solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film. Low temperature induced HF formation through weak interaction between organic electrolyte and LiF is supposed to cause carbonate film disruption reaction, $Li_2CO_3\;+\;2HF{\rightarrow}\;2LiF\;+\;CO_2\;+\;H_2O$. The different spectral DSC/TGA pattern for the cathode of 4.5 V cell has also been explained. Presence of ionic carbonate in the cathode has been identified by ion chromatography and LiF reported by early researchers has been used for explaining the film SEI disruption process. The absence of mass loss peak for the cathode washed with dimethyl carbonate (DMC) implies ionic nature of the film. The thermal behavior above 150 ${^{\circ}C}$ has also been analyzed and presented.

ITO와 IZO 타겟의 Co-sputtering 방법으로 성장시킨 IZTO 박막의 전기적 광학적 구조적 특성연구 (Electrical, optical, and structural properties of IZTO films grown by co-sputtering method using ITO and IZO target)

  • The characteristics of a co-sputtered indium zinc tin oxide (IZTO) films prepared by dual target dc magnetron sputtering from IZO and ITO targets at a room temperature are investigated. Film properties, such as sheet resistance, optical transmittance, surface work function and surface roughness were examined as a function of ITO dc power at constant IZO dc power of 100 W. It was shown that the increase of the ITO dc power during co-sputtering of ITO and IZO target resulted in an increase of sheet resistance of the IZTO films. This can be attributed to high resistivity of ITO film prepared at room temperature. Surface smoothness and roughness were investigated by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The synchrotron x-ray scattering results obtained from IZTO film with different ITO contents showed that introduction of ITO atoms into amorphous IZO film resulted in a crystallization of IZTO film with (222) preferred orientation due to low alc transition temperature of ITO film. However, the transmittance of the IZTO films with thickness of 150 nm is between 80 and 85 % at wavelength of 550 nm regardless of ITO content. Possible mechanism to explain the ITO and IZO co-sputtering effect on properties of IZTO is suggested.
