  • 사물인터넷(IoT: Internet of Things)과 클라우드(Cloud) 컴퓨팅의 융합에 기반한 소위 IoT-Cloud 서비스들이 ICT 기반의 창의적이고 다양한 미래지향적인 응용 서비스를 구현하는 핵심 모델로 부상하고 있다. IoT 부분의 기기에서 부족한 컴퓨팅 능력을 공유형 클라우드로 보완하는 IoT-Cloud 서비스의 실증은 컨테이너(container)를 활용한 마이크로서비스(microservice) 기반 구현이 효율적이다. 마이크로서비스로 구현된 응용 서비스의 품질은 서비스 기능(function)들을 서로 연결(inter-connect)하는 서비스기능체이닝(SFC: service function chaining) 과정에서 발생하는 특정 기능 또는 이들의 연결에 따른 병목(bottleneck) 등에 영향 받는다. 전체 서비스의 정상작동을 보장하기 위해 서비스 환경 변동을 감안한 다양한 테스트 과정이 필요하며, 이를 통한 지속적인 개선 노력이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 Node.js 기반의 IoT-Cloud 서비스를 대상으로 DevOps(개발운영병행체제) 기반 지속적인 통합 도구와 응용 성능 모니터링(application performance monitoring) 기법을 활용하여 지속적인 통합을 실험적으로 실증하고 그 효과를 논하고자 한다.

Dynamic Service Assignment based on Proportional Ordering for the Adaptive Resource Management of Cloud Systems

  • The key issue in providing fast and reliable access on cloud services is the effective management of resources in a cloud system. However, the high variation in cloud service access rates affects the system performance considerably when there are no default routines to handle this type of occurrence. Adaptive techniques are used in resource management to support robust systems and maintain well-balanced loads within the servers. This paper presents an adaptive resource management for cloud systems which supports the integration of intelligent methods to promote quality of service (QoS) in provisioning of cloud services. A technique of dynamically assigning cloud services to a group of cloud servers is proposed for the adaptive resource management. Initially, cloud services are collected based on the excess cloud services load and then these are deployed to the assigned cloud servers. The assignment function uses the proposed proportional ordering which efficiently assigns cloud services based on its resource consumption. The difference in resource consumption rate in all nodes is analyzed periodically which decides the execution of service assignment. Performance evaluation showed that the proposed dynamic service assignment (DSA) performed best in throughput performance compared to other resource allocation algorithms.

Services Quality Improvement through Control Management Cloud-Based SLA

  • Cloud-based technology is used in different organizations around the world for various purposes. Using this technology, the service providers provide the service mainly SaaS, PaaS and while the cloud service consumer consumes the services by paying for the service they used or accessed by the principle of "pay per use". The customer of the services can get any services being at different places or locations using different machines or electronic devices. Under the conditions of being well organized and having all necessary infrastructures, the services can be accessed suitably. The identified problem in this study is that cloud providers control and monitor the system or tools by ignoring the calculation and consideration of various faults made from the cloud provider side during service delivery. There are currently problems with ignoring the consumer or client during the monitoring and mentoring system for cloud services consumed at the customer or client level by SLA provisions. The new framework was developed to address the above-mentioned problems. The framework was developed as a unified modeling language. Eight basic components are used to develop the framework. For this research, the researcher developed a prototype by using a selected cloud tool to simulate and java programming language to write a code as well as MySQL to store data during SLA. The researcher used different criteria to validate the developed framework i.e. to validate SLA that is concerned with a cloud service provider, validate what happened when the request from the client-side is less than what is specified in SLA and above what is specified in SLA as well as implementing the monitoring mechanism using the developed Monitoring component. The researcher observed that with the 1st and 3rd criteria the service level agreement was violated and this indicated that if the Service level agreement is monitored or managed only by cloud service prover, there is a violation of LSA. Therefore, the researcher recommended that the service level agreement be managed by both cloud service providers and service consumers in the cloud computing environment.

소프트웨어 재사용성 향상을 위한 PaaS 기반 클라우드 컴포넌트 통합 연구 (A Integration Research of Cloud Component based on PaaS for Enhancing Software Reusability)

  • 본 논문은 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 개발 재사용성을 향상시켜줄 수 있는 PaaS 기반의 클라우드 서비스를 제공하는 것이다. PaaS 기반의 클라우드 서비스는 개발 측면에서 제공될 수 있는 플랫폼 클라우드 서비스로서 기존의 개발 도구나 관리 도구 서비스의 수준을 넘어서 재사용 프레임워크 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 재사용 프레임워크 서비스는 다양하게 분산되어 있는 서비스를 활용하여 개발의 재사용성을 향상시켜 줄 수 있을 것이다.

A Method for Service Evaluation Based on Fuzzy Theory for Cloud Computing

  • Aiming at the phenomenon of false information issued by service providers in cloud computing environment, a method for service evaluation based on fuzzy theory is put forward in this paper. According to the quality of services provided by cloud service providers and their behavior during interactions, a trust relationship between cloud service providers and cloud service consumers is established, which can be quantified by using fuzzy theory. The quality of services is evaluated by drawing on the trust relationship. In our method, the recommendation credibility of a cloud service consumer is determined through behavior similarity with evaluators and a praise factor. The introduction of the praise factor better suits the phenomenon of a high-quality service getting more repeat customers. The negative impact of dishonest customers is reduced, and the accuracy of trust and cloud service quality evaluation is improved by introducing a confidence factor that can be dynamically adjusted. The experimental results show that our method can effectively and accurately evaluate the trust value and service quality of providers, while weakening the influence of dishonest consumers, and quickly detect dishonest service providers. This is beneficial for consumers trying to find high quality service providers for similar services.

  • Cloud services have become the core infrastructure of the digital economy as a basis for collecting, storing, and processing large amounts of data to trigger artificial intelligence-based services and industrial innovation. Recently, cloud services have been spotlighted as a means of responding to corporate crises and changes in the work environment in a national disaster caused by COVID-19. While the cloud is attracting attention, the speed of adoption and diffusion of cloud services is not being actively carried out due to the lack of trust among users and uncertainty about security, performance, and cost. This study compares and analyzes the "Cloud Service Quality and Performance Management System" and the "Cloud Service Certification System" and suggests complementary points and improvement measures for the cloud service quality and performance management system.

  • Cloud-computing is in the limelight with expectation for cost reduction, because it alleviates the burden of initial investment and maintenance cost and based on pay-as-you-use billing policy. However, many suppliers of Cloud-computing service are suggesting diverse and complicated billing policies without consideration for setting reasonable service billing policy and definite criteria of properties to determine service billing system. So companies willing to use Cloud-computing service are hard to understand the billing system and often spend more expensive cost than necessary. Therefore, this study invested billing system properties of four representative suppliers. Based on these properties of billing system, this study found priorities using AHP survey which conducted to experts who are able to make decisions for adopting Cloud-computing in the company using or willing to use Cloud-computing service. We expect that this study can suggest basic guideline for comparing and analyzing properties of Cloud-computing service with standardized and objective method.

감정 분석 기반의 사용자 피드백을 이용한 클라우드 서비스 평가 기법 (Cloud Service Evaluation Techniques Using User Feedback based on Sentiment Analysis)

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅이 IT 업계의 화두로 부상하면서 다양한 유형의 클라우드 서비스들이 나타났고, 다수의 클라우드 서비스들 중 사용자가 원하는 서비스를 선택하는 과정의 복잡성을 해소하기 위해 클라우드 서비스 브로커 기술이 (Cloud Service Broker, CSB)등장하였다. CSB의 핵심적인 기능 중 하나는 사용자에게 최적의 클라우드 서비스를 추천해주는 것이다. 일반적으로 CSB에서 클라우드 서비스 추천을 위해 서비스 사용자들로부터 서비스에 대한 평점을 피드백으로 받아 서비스를 평가하는 방법을 사용할 수 있다. 그러나 사용자마다 평점을 매기는 기준이 다양하므로 평점만으로 서비스를 평가하기에는 신뢰도가 떨어진다는 문제점이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 서비스 사용자의 리뷰에 기계 학습 기반의 감정 분석(Sentiment Analysis) 기법을 적용하여 평점 기반 서비스 평가를 보완하는 방법과 이를 적용하여 구현한 CSB의 프로토타입을 제시한다. 또한 실제 클라우드 서비스 리뷰를 학습 데이터로 사용한 실험을 통해 감정분석에 사용될 수 있는 여러 학습 알고리즘의 성능을 비교한 결과를 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 서비스 평가 기법은 기존의 평점 기반 서비스 평가의 단점을 보완하며 사용자 경험 측면의 서비스 품질을 반영할 수 있다.

클라우드 서비스 중개를 위한 가변성 기반의 서비스 명세 기법 (Variability-based Service Specification Method for Brokering Cloud Services)

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅 패러다임이 성행하면서 IaaS, PaaS, SaaS 유형의 클라우드 서비스가 나타나고 있다. 제공되는 클라우드 서비스의 다양화로 인해 클라우드 테넌트(사용자)의 요구사항에 적합한 클라우드 서비스를 중개하는 기술인 서비스 브로커 기술이 최근 들어 관심을 받고 있다. 클라우드 서비스를 중개하기 위해서 다양한 클라우드 서비스의 체계적인 등록, 분석, 검색을 지원할 수 있는 클라우드 서비스 명세 모델이 필요하다. 본 논문은 다양한 유형의 클라우드 서비스를 명세하기 위한 가변성 기반의 클라우드 서비스 분석 모델(SAM)을 제시한다. SAM은 소프트웨어 프로덕트 라인의 가변성 개념을 적용하여 클라우드 서비스를 명세할 때 기능, 품질, 가격 측면에서 나타날 수 있는 가변점에 가변값을 바인딩함으로써 클라우드 서비스의 공통성과 가변성을 나타낸다. 또한, SAM을 이용하여 테넌트에게 클라우드 서비스를 중개하는 브로커로서의 가상 클라우드 뱅크의 구조를 제안한다.

  • Recently, as the clouding computing begins to receive a great attention from people all over the world, it became the most popular buzz word in recent IT magazines or journal and heard it in many different services or different fields. However, a notion of the cloud service is defined vaguely compared to increasing attentions from others. Generally the cloud service could be understood as a specific service model base on the clouding computing, but the cloud, the cloud computing, the cloud computing service and cloud service, these four all terms are often used without any distinction of its notions and characteristics so that it's difficult to define the exact nature of the cloud service. To explore and analyze the cloud service systematically, an accurate conception and scope have to be preceded. Therefore this study is to firstly clarify its definition by Delpi method using expert group and then tries to provide the foundation needed to enable relative research such as establishing business model or value chain and policies for its activation to set off. For the Delpi, 16 experts participated in several surveys from different fields such industry, academy and research sector. As a result of the research, Characteristics of the Cloud Service are followings : Pay per use, Scalability, Internet centric Virtualization. And the scope as defined including Grid Computing, Utility Computing, Server Based Computing, Network Computing.
