  • Cloud computing technologies are utilized and merged in various domains. Cloud computing technology-based personal cloud service technologies provide mobility and free access by using user centered storages and smart devices such like smart phones and table PCs. Therefore, we should overcome limits on the storage by solving the capacity problems of devices to provide security services in the personal cloud environments It can be addressable to provide the convenience of various security technologies. However, there are some security threats inherited from existing cloud environments and the possibilities of information leakage when devices are lost or stolen. Therefore, we designed a framework for providing secure cloud services by adding objects, such as user authorization, access tokens, set permissions by key generation, and key management assignments, for user management in personal cloud environments. We analyzed the stability of the proposed framework in terms of irreverent use and abuse, access to insiders, and data loss or leakage. And we evaluated the proposed framework in terms of the security with access control requirements in personal cloud environments.

  • With the fast development of internet, cloud computing has become the most demanded technology used all over the world. Cloud computing facilitates its consumers by providing virtual resources via internet. One of the prominent services offered in cloud computing is cloud storage. The rapid growth of cloud computing also increases severe security concerns to cloud storage. In this paper, we propose a scheme which allows users not only securely store and access data in the cloud, but also share data with multiple users in a secured way via unsecured internet. We use ECC for cryptography and authentication operation which makes the scheme work in a more efficient way.

  • Recently, as the demand for physical security technology to prevent leakage of technical and business information of companies and public institutions increases, the high tech companies are operating X-ray security checkpoints at building entrances to protect their intellectual property and technology. X-ray security checkpoints are operated to detect cameras and storage media that may store or leak important technologies in the bags of people entering and leaving the building. In this study, we propose an X-ray security checkpoint system that automatically detects a storage medium in an X-ray image using a deep learning based object detection method. The proposed system consists of an edge computing unit and a cloud-computing unit. We employ the RetinaNet for automatic storage media detection in the X-ray security checkpoint images. The proposed approach achieved mAP of 95.92% on private dataset.

  • Deduplication, which is a technique of eliminating redundant data by storing only a single copy of each data, provides clients and a cloud server with efficiency for managing stored data. Since the data is saved in untrusted public cloud server, however, both invasion of data privacy and data loss can be occurred. Over recent years, although many studies have been proposed secure deduplication schemes, there still remains both the security problems causing serious damages and inefficiency. In this paper, we propose secure and efficient client-side deduplication with Key-server based on Bellare et. al's scheme and challenge-response method. Furthermore, we point out potential risks of client-side deduplication and show that our scheme is secure against various attacks and provides high efficiency for uploading big size of data.

  • Recently, many internet users are using cloud computing. Users can manage, store and share their data and information by using personal cloud storage. In this paper, we aim to figure out influencing factors on personal cloud storage selection. The causal relationship between factors were identified through a importance analysis by using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). AHP is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions, based on mathematics and psychology. Research model consists of upper factorsincluding system factor, service factor and user factor. 12 lower factors and 6 alternatives were also analyzed. Asa result, system factor of 3 upper factors was found as the most important factor. Purpose-coincidence, security andaccessibility were top 3 factors among lower factors. N drive showed top importance value. We also conducted ANOVAby classifying 4 groups according to gender, age, currently used cloud and cloud to use. The results of this researchcan be useful guidelines for cloud computing industry.

  • Mobile services which are applied PC performance and mobile characteristics are increased with spread of the smartphone. Recently, mobile cloud service is getting the spotlight as a solution of mobile service problems that mobile device is lack of memory, computing power and storage and mobile services are subordinate to a particular mobile device platform. However, mobile cloud service has more potential security threats by the threat inheritance of mobile service, wireless network and cloud computing service. Therefore, security threats of mobile cloud service has to be removed in order to deploy secure mobile cloud services and user and manager should be able to respond appropriately in the event of threat. In this paper, We define mobile cloud service threats by threat analysis of mobile device, wireless network and cloud computing and we propose mobile cloud service countermeasures in order to respond mobile cloud service threats and threat scenarios in order to respond and predict to potential mobile cloud service threats.

  • As the communication technology and mobile devices develop, the need for the efficient and secure remote storage is required. And recently, many companies support cloud storages to meet the requirements of the customers. Especially in the business field where various companies collaborate, data sharing is an essential functionality to enhance their work performance. However, existing researches have not fully satisfied the requirement either efficiency and security. This paper suggests efficient and secure data sharing scheme for cloud storage by using secret sharing scheme. Proposed scheme can be applied to business collaborations and team projects.

  • Data deduplication is a common method to improve cloud storage efficiency and save network communication bandwidth, but it also brings a series of problems such as privacy disclosure and dictionary attacks. This paper proposes a secure deduplication scheme for cloud storage based on Bloom filter, and dynamically extends the standard Bloom filter. A public dynamic Bloom filter array (PDBFA) is constructed, which improves the efficiency of ownership proof, realizes the fast detection of duplicate data blocks and reduces the false positive rate of the system. In addition, in the process of file encryption and upload, the convergent key is encrypted twice, which can effectively prevent violent dictionary attacks. The experimental results show that the PDBFA scheme has the characteristics of low computational overhead and low false positive rate.

  • In cloud storage environment, deduplication enables efficient use of the storage. Also, in order to save network bandwidth, cloud storage service provider has introduced client-side deduplication. Cloud storage service users want to upload encrypted data to ensure confidentiality. However, common encryption method cannot be combined with deduplication, because each user uses a different private key. Also, client-side deduplication can be vulnerable to security threats because file tag replaces the entire file. Recently, proof of ownership schemes have suggested to remedy the vulnerabilities of client-side deduplication. Nevertheless, client-side deduplication over encrypted data still causes problems in efficiency and security. In this paper, we propose a secure and practical client-side encrypted data deduplication scheme that has resilience to brute force attack and performs proof of ownership over encrypted data.

  • With a cloud storage service, data owners can easily access their outsourced data in cloud storage on different devices and at different locations, and can share their data with others. However, as the users no longer physically have possession of their outsourced data and the cloud still facing the existence of internal/external threats, the task of checking the data integrity is formidable. Over recent years, numerous schemes have been proposed to ensure data integrity in an untrusted cloud. However, the existing public auditing schemes use a third-party auditor(TPA) to execute high computation to check data integrity and may still face many security threats. In this paper, we first demonstrate that the scheme proposed by Zhang et al. is not secure against our two threat models, and then we propose a self-certified public auditing scheme to eliminate the security threats and guarantee a constant communication cost. Moreover, we prove the securities of our public auditing scheme under three security models.
