In 2012, According to 'Cisco Global Cloud Index 2011-2016', the Cisco company forecasted that global data center traffic will nearly quadruple and cloud traffic will nearly sextuple by 2016. Such a rapid growing of traffic is caused by traffic inside the data center and cloud computing workloads. In 2010, the Ministry of National Defense decided to build a Mega Center including the cloud computing technology by 2014, as part of the '2012 Information Service Plan', which is now underway. One of the factors to consider is cloud computing traffic to build a Mega Center. Since the K-defense cloud computing system is built, K-defense cloud computing traffic will increase steadily. This paper, analyzed the availability of K-defense cloud computing service with the K-defense cloud computing traffic increasing using K-Defense cloud computing test system and CloudAnalyst simulation tool. Created 3 scenarios and Simulated with these scenarios, the results are derived that the availability of K-defense cloud computing test system is fulfilled, even cloud workloads are increased as muh as forecasted cloud traffic growth from now until 2016.
N-Data Center which provide of cloud computing service for the Government departments, will be prepared transforming to cloud data center and transformed into an 'IT service' provided as a service to the information resources required by each department. N-Data center already provide a cloud service to the departments as maintains a high level of security, and plan to connecting with the private sector as a precondition of security. Therefore, in order to promote them effectively, it is necessary to determine the level of security in the cloud data center, and we have proposed appropriate measures. In this paper, we analyze security requirements of cloud data centers in developed countries and identify the leading private cloud data center security. In addition, we identify the N-data center security level, and analyzes the data center and private cloud gap and provide a transition strategy in terms of security finally.

We have analyzed AVHRR global data set for obtaining aerosol and cloud microphysical parameters, i. e., optical thickness and size index of particle polydispersions. From the results, it is found that the cloud optical thickness increases with increasing aerosol column number, which seems to be caused mainly by decreasing cloud particle radius, The cloud liquid water path was observed to be relatively constant without a significant dependence on the aerosol number. Further comparison of the satellite results with a general circulation model simulation.

In visual slam and 3D data modeling, the Iterative Closest Point method is a primary fundamental algorithm, and many technical fields have used this method. However, it relies on search methods that take a high search time. This paper solves this problem by applying an effective point cloud refinement method. And this paper also accelerates the point cloud registration process with an indexing scheme using the spatial decomposition method. Through some experiments, the results of this paper show that the proposed point cloud refinement method helped to produce better performance.

3D point cloud is widely used in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Medical, Computer Graphics, and many other fields. Due to the improvement of 3D laser scanner, a massive 3D point cloud whose gigantic file size is bigger than computer's memory requires efficient preprocessing and visualization. We suggest a data structure to solve the problem; a 3D point cloud is gradually subdivided by arbitrary-sized cube grids structure and corresponding point cloud subsets generated by the center of each grid cell are achieved while preprocessing. A massive 3D point cloud file is tested through two algorithms: QSplat and ours. Our algorithm, grid-based, showed slower speed in preprocessing but performed faster rendering speed comparing to QSplat. Also our algorithm is further designed to editing or segmentation using the original coordinates of 3D point cloud.

Traditional software testing typically uses many physical resources to manually build various test environments, resulting in high resource costs and long test time due to limited resources, especially for small enterprises. Cloud computing can provide sufficient low-cost virtual resources to alleviate these problems through the virtualization of physical resources. However, the provision of various test environments and services for implementing software testing rapidly and conveniently based on cloud computing is challenging. This paper proposes a multilayer cloud testing model based on cloud computing and implements a hybrid cloud testing system based on virtual machines (VMs) and networks. This system realizes the automatic and rapid creation of test environments and the remote use of test tools and test services. We conduct experiments on this system and evaluate its applicability in terms of the VM provision time, VM performance and virtual network performance. The experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the VMs and virtual networks is satisfactory and that this system can improve the test efficiency and reduce test costs through rapid virtual resource provision and convenient test services.
Multiscattering occurs when a laser transmits into dense atmosphere targets (e.g. fogs, smoke or clouds), which can cause depolarization effects even though the scattering particles are spherical. In addition, multiscattering effects have additional information about microphysical properties of scatterers. Thus, multiscattering can be utilized to study the microphysical properties of the liquid water cloud. In this paper, a Monte Carlo method was used to simulate multi-scattering transmission properties of Lidar signals in the cloud. The results showed the slope of the degree of linear polarization (SLDLP) can be used to invert the extinction coefficient, and then the cloud effective size (CES) and the liquid water content (LWC) may be easily obtained by using the extinction coefficient and saturation of the degree of linear polarization (SADLP). Based on calculation results, a microphysical properties inversion method for a liquid cloud was presented. An innovative multiscattering polarization Lidar (MSPL) system was constructed to measure the LWC and CES of the liquid cloud, and a new method based on the polarization splitting ratio of the Polarization Beam Splitter (PBS) was developed to calibrate the polarization channels of MSPL. By analyzing the typical observation data of MSPL observation in the northern suburbs of Nanjing, China, the LWC and CES of the liquid water cloud were obtained. Comparisons between the results from the MSPL, MODIS and the Microwave radar data showed that, the microphysical properties of liquid cloud could be retrieved by combining our MSPL and the inversion method.

Cloud computing changes the service models of information systems and accelerates the pace of technological innovation of consumer electronics. However, it also brings new security issues. As one of the important foundations of various cloud security solutions, entity authentication is attracting increasing interest of many researchers. This article proposes a layered security architecture to provide a trust transmission mechanism among cloud systems maintained by different organizations. Based on the security architecture, four protocols are proposed to implement mutual authentication, data sharing and secure data transmission in federated cloud systems. The protocols not only can ensure the confidentiality of the data transferred, but also resist man-in-the-middle attacks and masquerading attacks. Additionally, the security properties of the four protocols have been proved by S-pi calculus formal verification. Finally, the performance of the protocols is investigated in a lab environment and the feasibility of the security architecture has been verified under a hybrid cloud system.

SDN and NFV are next-generation network technologies, and cloud, such as data centers, campuses, and large companies, has been established, or is actively applied by service-oriented communication companies. In particular, the Defense Integrated Data Center will be a prime example for military applications. In order for the Defense Integrated Data Center (DIDC) to become an intelligent center, it is accelerating the promotion of the "Smart Defense Integrated Data Center", which applied the latest information and communication technology (ICT). At the time of the establishment of DIDC, it plans to start building infrastructure such as cloud services at around 30% level, and expand D-Cloud to 75% through 'Cloud First'. In addition, the introduction of SDN/NFV will reduce the operation cost and manpower of DIDC, strengthen the ability to efficiently use information resources and cyber information protection systems, and increase flexibility and agility in using each system to improve efficiency in defense management in the future. Therefore, we will discuss the justification and expected effects of SDN/NFV introduction, focusing on DIDC.
