중국 대학생의 의복 쇼핑 성향에 따른 점포 평가 기준, 의복 평가 기준 및 캐쥬얼 의류 구매 행동 (Store Evaluative Criteria, Clothing Evaluative Criteria, and Purchasing Behavior for Casual Wear according to Shopping Orientation of Chinese College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in store evaluative criteria, clothing evaluative criteria, and purchasing behavior for casual wear among groups with different types of shopping orientation. Data were collected from 175 female and 169 male college students living in Beijing, and analysed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANDVA, Duncan test, crosstabulation analysis, and frequency analysis. Chinese college students were classified into four groups by their shopping orientations; fashion-pursuit type, individuality-pursuit type, practical type, and apathetic type. Significant differences were found in store evaluative criteria, clothing evaluative criteria, purchasing behaviors, and demographic characteristics. The fashion-pursuit type and individuality-pursuit type were more influenced by store location and service, product attributes, and fashion. They purchased more frequently and spent more money. Esthetic clothing evaluative criteria were considered more important by the individuality-pursuit type than the others, and symbolic clothing evaluative criteria by the fashion-pursuit type.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of physical type and age on preference for line in women's clothing design. Line preference in clothing design was concerned with varying in length, direction, division, and shape. All of the preference measures were devised specifically for this study. Furthermore, items on height and weight for physical type as well as age of the subjects were included in the questionnaire. Data were obtained by means of structured interviews and self-administered questionnaires from 588 women ($20\~60$ years of age) in Seoul. Analysis was by One·way ANOVA, Chi-square ($X^{2}$), and Scheffe test. It was found that 4 categories of line preference were affected by both body type and height. An age effect was found on 3 categories of design lines; however, preference for 2 categories of design lines in clothing styles were unaffected by either physical type or age. It was concluded that body type, height, and age are powerful predictive variables for line preference in clothing design. Generally, there was some similarities in preference for lines among slim body types, tall figures, and younger age group as well as heavy body types, short figures, and older age group.

노년기 여성의 라이프 스타일과 의복관여에 관한 연구 (A study on Life Style and Clothing Involvement of Elderly Women)

  • The objectives of this study were to classify the contents of clothing involvement, to group elderly women into life style types. A method of this study was face to face re-search and questionnaire. Questionnaire was comprised of four sections : 18 Likert type items of clothing involvement measure ; 26 Likert type items of life style measure ; 3 items of clothing purchase measure ; and 3 demographic variables. Samples were 215 elderly women(60∼79 years of age) in Seoul, Korea. The data were analyzed using factor analy-sis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Dun-can's multiple range test,χ2 test. The results of the study were the follow-ings. 1. Four factors of clothing involvement derived by factor analysis : F.1 'clothing pleasure'; F.2 'clothing symbolism' ; F.3 'perceived risk in clothing purchase' ; F.4 'clothing interest'. 2. Four factors of life style derived by factor analysis : F.1 'active-leisure';F.2 'confidence oriented';F.3 'appearance interest';F.4 'house-work interest and community conciousness'. Three types of life style were defined by the cluster analysis of the 4 factors : T.1 'passive stag-nation'; T.3'outside activity'. 3. There were significant differences in clothing involvement factors according to life style types. Outside activity type perceived 'clothing pleasure' highest level among 3 life style types. Outside activity type and house-work and positive living type perceived 'cloth-ing symbolism' and 'clothing interest' higher level than did passive stagnation types. 4. Elderly women high in educational level were more distributed in outside activity type and the low in educational level in passive stagnation types. 5. There were significant relationships be-tween life style types and source of a clothing allowance, clothing purchase frequency, and a companion of dress store.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify store image and clothing satisfaction of various clothing distribution type and is to compare the difference due to demographic variables. The data were obtained 407 housewives using questionnaire. The results were as follows. First Store image of clothing distribution types was found significant differences in product service atmosphere. Second Clothing satisfaction of clothing distribution types was founded significant differences in price brand name fashion design material sewing size. Third The new distribution types in general were not visited upon despite their high degree of recognition and using experience of new distribution types was founded significant differences in Store image of new distribution types. Fourth Among demographic variables significant difference in usage of the distributions was founded. Fifth Among demographic variables significant difference in usage of the distributions was founded. Fifth Among demographic variables significant difference in clothing satisfaction of the distributions was founded.

  • The main objective of this study was to find out the relationship between life style types and clothing evaluatie criteriria. Social wear was selected according to the defined time, place, and occasion's. The questionnaire was administered to 640 housewives during the fall of 1988. The research problems were as follows: 1. To segment the target according to their life styles, and to profile the characteristics of the categorized life style types. 2. To determine the differences in the clothing evaluatie criteria among the various life style types. The result were as follows: 1. Five life style types were defined. They were the Achievement oriented type, the Active- leisure type, the Material oriented type, Conservative-frugal type, and the Passive-stagnant type. 2. The differences in consumer preferences at the element level evaluative criteria including color, fiber content, fabric construction, fabric design, and classes of clothes among the five life style types were also analyzed revealing partial significance.

의류쇼핑성향에 따른 선호점포유형과 점포환경인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Type of Preference Store and Recognized Environment of Clothing Store according to Characteristics of Clothing Shopping)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify consumers by orientation of clothing shopping and to analyze the type of preference store and recognized environmental elements of clothing shop. This survey was carried out through questionnaires of 312 females(Busan region) in their twenties and the data were analyzed by using Factor analysis, Cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test as a post identification and ${\chi}^2$-test. The results of this research can be summarizedas follows: First, orientations of clothing shopping consisted of pleasure shopping orientation, planned shopping orientation, brand shopping orientation, and information of store orientation. The respondents were classified into four groups by these characteristics: high interested shopping group, brand-oriented shopping group, low interested shopping group, and unplanned shopping group. These groups had different type of preference store and there were significantly different preferences among department store, brand agency and regular discount store. The recognized environmental elements of clothing shop were service policy, store atmosphere, store layout, trend of products, product variety, freedom of shopping, and reception service. The groups by characteristics of clothing shopping had different attitude regarding those factors. Especially, they are susceptible to store atmosphere, trend of products and reception service. There was the correlation between type of preference store and environmental elements of store and mainly recognized environmental elements of clothing shop had differences according to type of store.

체형유형에 따른 의복의 착의 공간 형상 변화 (Out-line Space-shape Variation of Clothing Fitness with Somatotype)

  • Clothing shape is principally described in seven factors that are composed of clothing design, clothing material, clothing size, pattern design, sewing method and body motion etc.. The aims of this study was to measurement out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with somato type by using the image processing. The subjects for direct anthropometric measurements were 248 female college students aged from 19 to 22. The data were statistically analyzed by principal analysis and cluster analysis. The results were obtained three somato type. Also I made skirts in order to analyzed to the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body. The effect of somato type on the shape of flare skirts was determined by the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body. The out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body was observed between the node number and amplitudes of clothing wave form and node number was determined at the maxim of space-shape amplitude, and the space-shape amplitudes have related with aspect ratio of cross-sectional shape. Results for flare skirts show changes in amplitude and mean with fabrics, somato type. therefore gray-level histogram are correlated with changes out-line space-shape, differences in drape spacing and related fabric properties and their somato type. Circadian Fluctuation of Body Temperature in Different Thermal Conditions of the Distal Extremities by Clothing Type Worn during the Afternoon

  • Six healthy female volunteers twice undertook an experiment with different types of clothing leaving the arms and legs covered or uncovered at $24{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$ and $50{\pm}5%$ RH to study how different thermal stimulation to the distal extremities during the afternoon could modulate circadian parameters of body temperature rhythm. One type of clothing consisted of long-sleeved shirts and full-length trousers (Type I, 989 g, 0.991 clo); the other type consisted of half-sleeved shirts and knee-length trousers (Type II, 750 g, 0.747 clo). Subjects wore Type I or Type II clothing during the afternoon (14:00 h - 19:00 h), and Type I clothing during the evening (19:00 h - 22:30 h) and the night sleep (22:30 h - 06:00 h). Rectal temperature and skin temperatures at the arm and leg were measured continuously. Results were as follows: 1) The circadian amplitude of rectal temperature tended to be greater, and the acrophase was significantly earlier when wearing Type II rather than Type I clothing. 2) The circadian nadirs of skin temperatures of the arm and leg were significantly lower and the amplitudes were significantly greater with Type II clothing. In addition, the acrophase and bathyphase of the circadian rhythm of arm skin temperature were significantly earlier with Type II than Type I clothing. 3) The amplitude of rectal temperature was related closely with that of arm and leg skin temperature. These results suggest that a slightly cool thermal stress during the afternoon to the arms and legs exerted by wearing half-sleeved shirts and knee-length trousers induces a greater amplitude and a phase advance of the overt circadian rhythm of body temperature.

중년 여성의 자기 이미지 유형화에 따른 의복 이미지 평가와 선호 (A Study on Clothing Image Evaluation and Preference According to Self-Image Classification of the Middle-Aged Women)

  • Due to the popularization of fashion, it is important for consumers to find out under what kinds of reasons consumers choose and prefer the clothing products as consumers are interested in clothing and have variety of their styles to choose This study is to classify the self-image of the middle-aged women and examine the characteristics of each group and also to inquire into the evaluation of clothing by each group. Data are collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey from 4 to October 31, 2005 from 350 middle-aged women in Daegu; 275 are used for the data analysis. Data analysis is performed using SPSS Package, which included cluster analysis, factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, and chi-square test. The results are as follows: 1. As a result of factor analysis of self-image, the five factors which are intelligent image, social image, fashionable image, female image, bold image are extracted. Besides, as a result of cluster analysis, the three types which are female-type, neuter-type, male-type are classified. 2. The middle-aged women regard the classic style as their best style for outgoing and then they like the casual style, elegant style, dramatic style in order. 3. As a result of factor analysis for clothing image, the four factors which are dignity, attraction, simplicity activity are extracted. 4. According to self-image types, there are differences for clothing image and preferring clothing styles. While female-type groups choose the elegant style, neuter-type groups regard the classic style as their best style and male-type groups regard the casual style as their best style. In case of daring style, the preference shows the lowest among all the types unrelated to self-image types.

사지말초부의 노출과 보온이 인체의 체온조절에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Exposure and Insulation of the Extremities on the Human Thermoregulation)

  • Effects of insulation after exposure of the extremities on the temperature regulation in clothed men were studied. Experiment was carried out with six males in a climatic chamber fixed at $10^{\circ}C$, $55\%$ R.H. treated with Type A (face only was exposed) and Type B (face and half of the extremities were exposed). Mean skin temperature fell greater in Type B due to intense vasoconstriction than in Type A. Rectal temperature rose a little in Type B and resumed in Type A without any significant differences in metabolism between two types of clothing. These findings suggest that Type B is more effective in physiological defense to the cold stimuli than Type A at least at $10^{\circ}C$.
