This paper presents a scheme that generates a caption file by extracting a Closed Caption stream from DTV signal. Note that Closed-Captioning service helps to bridge "digital divide" through extending broadcasting accessibility of a neglected class such as hearing-impaired person and foreigner. In Korea, DTV Closed Captioning standard was developed in June 2007, and Closed Captioning service should be supported by an enforcing law in all broadcasting services in 2008. In this paper, we describe the method of extracting a caption data from MPEG-2 Transport Stream of ATSC-based digital TV signal and generating a caption file (SAMI and SRT) using the extracted caption data and time information. Experimental results verify the feasibility of a generated caption file using a PC-based media player which is widely used in multimedia service.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare activities of shoulder girdle muscles according to types of closed chain exercise in the sixties. Methods: The subjects consisted of 15 persons in their sixties. Muscle activity of the pectoralis major, deltoid middle, deltoid posterior, upper trapezius, lower trapezius, and serratus anterior were measured using electromyography according to shape of the support base and angle of shoulder flexion. According to types of closed chain exercises, muscles activities were compared by paired t-test. Significance level to verify statistical significance was .05. SPSS win (ver. 22.0) program was used for statistical analysis. Results: Muscle activities of the pectoralis major, middle deltoid, trapezius lower, and serratus anterior showed significant difference according to types of closed chain exercise (p<0.05). Conclusion: According to types of closed chain exercises of the shoulder girdle, muscle activities of the pectoralis major, deltoid middle, posterior and lower trapezius showed change of muscle activities.

A module M is called cofinitely closed weak δ-supplemented (briefly δ-ccws-module) if for any cofinite closed submodule N of M has a weak δ-supplement in M. In this paper we investigate the basic properties of δ-ccws modules. In the light of this study, we can list the main facts obtained as following: (1) Any cofinite closed direct summand of a δ-ccws module is also a δ-ccws module; (2) Let R be a left δ-V -ring. Then R is a δ-ccws module iff R is a ccws-module iff R is extending; (3) Any nonsingular homomorphic image of a δ-ccws-module is also a δ-ccws-module; (4) We characterize nonsingular δ-V -rings in which all nonsingular modules are δ-ccws.

Purpose : This study was intended to compare muscle activity in relation to knee joint angles on closed kinetic chain. Methods : A total of 13 subjects consisting of 5 adult males and 8 adult females were made to make movements maintaining knee joint angles at $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$ on closed kinetic chain and the muscle activity occurring in their vastus medialis, rectus femoris and vastus lateralis was measured. Statistical data were analyzed using oneway ANOVA. Results : On closed kinetic chain, the muscle activity of the vastus medialis, rectus femoris and vastus lateralis increased the most at $90^{\circ}$ among the knee joint angles with statistically significant differences(p<0.05). Conclusion : On closed kinetic chain, it could be seen that as the angle of the knee joint increased, the muscle activity increased.

In this paper, We define and explore the characterizations and properties of soft regular open(closed) and soft semi-regular sets in soft topological spaces. The properties of soft extremally disconnected spaces are also introduced and discussed. The findings in this paper will help researcher to enhance and promote further study on soft topology to carry out a general framework for their applications in practical life.

This paper investigates the determinants of discounts on closed-end mutual funds. Empirical tests on a panel of closed-end mutual funds show that the magnitude of discounts seems to be unequal for different types of funds. I find strong evidence on tax-timing option effect even after controlling for other variables which have been theorized to be important in determining discounts on closed-end mutual funds. Also, the uncertainty about the value of underlying assets in the fund's portfolio has a significant influence on discounts.

A new class of sets, called generalized (${\Lambda}$, b)-closed sets, has been introduced and studied. Also, several properties of generalized (${\Lambda}$, b)-closed sets are investigated. Some characterizations of ${\Lambda}_b$-regular spaces and ${\Lambda}_b$-normal spaces are discussed.

Nakaoka and Oda ([1] and [2]) introduced the notion of maximal open sets and minimal closed sets in topological spaces. In this paper, we introduce new classes of sets called maximal $\theta$-open sets, minimal $\theta$-closed sets, $\theta$-semi maximal open and $\theta$-semi minimal closed and investigate some of their fundamental properties.

This paper deals with the robustness of closed-loop poles of a linear time-invariant system with uncertain parameters. A new method is presented to calculate the perturbation of a pole-located region due to parameter uncertainties. A method to calculate allowable bounds on parameter uncertainties is also presented to retain closed-loop poles in a specified region. Based on Lyapunov equations and norm operations, they provide useful measures on the robustness of closed-loop poles. An example is given to illustrate proposed methods.

We give some necessary and sufficient conditions in order that a closed operator in a Hilbert space into another have the Hyers-Ulam stability. Moreover, we prove the existence of the stability constant for a closed operator. We also determine the stability constant in terms of the lower bound.
