A fuzzy network using genetic algorithm is investigated in the context of control for finite dimensional nonlinear discrete systems. The proposed FN(Fuzzy Network) constructed to identify various parameter of fuzzy control is used for the nonlinear system control. Each of two FN, presented FN control system is based on a framework of closed loop control. A proposed FNN model trains using the modeling error and the closed loop error. That case study shows that the presented FN model and closed loop control system is very useful in practical sense.

The increase in the rearing intensity of pigs has caused deterioration in the pig house's internal environment such as temperature, humidity, ammonia gas, and so on. Traditionally, the widely used method to control the internal environment was through the manipulation of the ventilation system. However, the conventional ventilation system had a limitation to control the internal environment, prevent livestock disease, save energy, and reduce odor emission. To overcome this problem, the air-recirculated ventilation system was suggested. This system has a semi-closed loop ventilation type. For designing this system, it was essential to evaluate the ventilation rates considering the pressure loss of ducts. Therefore, in this study, pressure loss calculation and experiment were conducted for the quantitative ventilation design of a semi-closed loop system. The results of the experiment showed that the inlet through which external air flows should always be opened. In addition, it was also found that for the optimum design of the semi-closed loop ventilation system, it was appropriate to install a damper or a backflow prevention device rather than a ventilation fan.

An analytical method for robust design of the multi-loop proportional-integral (PI) controller is proposed for various types of multi-delay processes. On the basis of the direct synthesis and generalized IMC-PID approach, the analytical tuning rules of the multi-loop PI controller are firstly derived for achieving the desired closed-loop response, and the structured singular value synthesis is then utilized for the tradeoffs between the robust stability and performance by adjusting only one design parameter (i.e., the closed-loop time constant). To verify the superiority of the proposed method, the simulation studies have been conducted on a wide variety of multivariable processes. The multi-loop PI controller designed by the proposed method shows a fast, well-balanced and robust response with the minimum integral absolute error (IAE) in compared with other renowned methods.
In this paper, a robust control system with the disturbance observer is proposed for BLDC servo system. The overall control system consists of the speed controller which is implemented with PI controller and the disturbance observer with free parameters. The proposed control system is designed the command input response and the closed loop characteristics independently by using two-degrees-of-freedom concept, so it can improve the closed loop characteristics with no influence on the command input response. The effective suppression of disturbance with the observer improves the characteristics of the closed loop of the system. And also, by fluting the bandwidth of free parameters, measurement noise is considered. To verify the better performance of the proposed control system than that of the conventional PI controllers, the performance of the controller is analyzed theoretically and some simulation results are presented.

In this paper, we present a novel predictive CDMA closed-loop power control (CLPC) method with a multi-step least squares (LS) linear predictor for time-varying fading channels. The proposed method effectively compensates multiple power control group delays and provides significant performance gains over nonpredictive CLPCs as well as conventional predictive CLPCs with one-step linear predictor.
In this study, the effect of parameter errors on the closed-loop behavior of flexible structure is analyzed for IMSC(Independent Modal Space Control) with PPF(Positive Position Feedback). If the control force designed on the basis of structure model with the parameter errors is applied to control the actual system, the closed-loop performance of the actural system will be degraded depending on the degree of the errors. An asymptotic stability condition has been derived, using Lyapunov approach, which is independent of the dynamic characteristics of the structure being controlled. The extent of deviation of the closed-loop performance from the designed one is also derived and evaluated using operator techniques. It has been found that the extent of the deviation is proportational to the magnitude of the parameter errors, and that the proportional coefficient depends on the control algorithm.

This paper presents a sensorless vector control algorithm of closed loop Gopinath flux observer to enhance the robustness at low speed by switching P/PI mode. Closed loop Gopinath flux observer has the problem in sensorless vector control of induction motor at low speed. This paper solves the problem using the characteristic function of closed loop Gopinath flux observer. P mode shows better performance than PI mode under the cut-off frequency of observer. But P mode always has a flux error due to DC offset, so this paper combines P mode and PI mode. This algorithm shows good performance over wide speed range. The performance has been confirmed through computer simulations using MATLAB SIMULINK and experiments.
This paper presents a data-based stability analysis of a MIMO linear time-invariant discrete-time system, as an extension of the previous results for a SISO system. In the MIMO case, a similar discussion as in the case of a SISO system is also applied, except that an augmented input and output space is considered whose dimension is determined in relation to both the orders of the input and output vectors and the numbers of inputs and outputs. As certain subspaces of the input and output space, both output data space and closed-loop data space are defined, which contain all the behaviors of a system, respectively, with zero input in open-loop and with a control input in closed-loop. Then, we can derive the data-based stability conditions, in which the open-loop stability can be checked by using a data matrix whose column vectors span the output data space and the closed-loop stability can also be checked by using a data matrix whose column vectors span the closed-loop data space.
In this paper, sliding mode controller for discrete-time nonlinear systems with uncertainties and disturbances are proposed. The concept of time-delay control (TDC) which consists of estimating the uncertain dynamics of the system through past observations of the system response is used. The proposed controller guarantees that the closed-loop system states are globally uniformly ultimately bounded (GUUB). It is also shown that the closed-loop system states are globally uniformly asymptotically stable (GUAS) if uncertainties are constant.

This article describes a robust control method by using peak control of a sensitivity function in the state-feedback control systems. This method apparently reduces the peak, and as a result makes closed loop systems more stable. The designed closed loop systems also make the response to an external step disturbance more fast with a lower undershoot. At the conclusion, it is verified that the proposed method enhances robust stability and robust performance to parametric uncertainties through $\mu$-plot.
