Injection molded thermoplastic parts may need to be coated to facilitate paint adhesion, or to satisfy other surface property requirements, such as appearance, durability, and weather resistance. In this paper, a two-component polyurethane metering system was developed for the simultaneous injection and surface coating of a plastic substrate. The system was composed of storage tanks, feed pumps, axial piston pumps, mixing head. The tank was designed to be double-jacket structured and fabricated for polyol and isocyanate, respectively. A temperature chamber was used to maintain the material temperature to be $80^{\circ}C$ during flowing from storage tank to mixing head. Inside the chamber, feed pump, low pressure filter, high pressure pump, high pressure filter, pressure sensor, flow meter were installed. A mixing head of L-type was used for homogeneous mixing of polyol and isocyanate. Inside the mixing head, a cartridge heater and a temperature sensor were installed to control the temperature of the materials. The flow rate of axial-piston pump was controlled by using closed-loop feedback control algorithm. The input flow-rates were compared with the measured values. The output error was 6.7% for open-loop control, whereas the error was below 2.2% for closed-loop control. In addition, the pressure generated through mixing-head nozzle increased with increasing flow rate. It was found that the pressure drop between metering pump and mixing-head nozzle was almost 10 bar.
This paper presents a robot manipulator kinematic motion control scheme based on velocity feedback loop. The desired joint velocity is obtained by the feature-based visual servoing and is used in the joint velocity control loop system for trajectory control of the robot manipulator. The asymptotic stability of the closed loop system is shown by the Lyapunov method. Effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by simulation and experimental results on a robot manipulator with two degree of freedom.

In this paper, we present a co-design methodology of dynamic optimal network-bandwidth allocation (ONBA) and adaptive control for networked control systems (NCSs) to optimize overall control performance and reduce total network-bandwidth usage. The proposed dynamic co-design strategy integrates adaptive feedback control with real-time scheduling. As part of this co-design methodology, a "closed-loop" ONBA algorithm for NCSs with communication constraints is presented. Network-bandwidth is dynamically assigned to each control loop according to the quality of performance (QoP) information of each control loop. As another part of the co-design methodology, a network quality of service (QoS)-adaptive control design approach is also presented. The idea is based on calculating new control values with reference to the network QoS parameters such as time delays and packet losses measured online. Simulation results show that this co-design approach significantly improves overall control performance and utilizes less bandwidth compared to static strategies.

A robust motion control method is proposed fur the point-to-point position control of a XY positioning system which consists of a base cart, elastic ben and moving mass. The horizontal motion controller consists of the feedforward controller to suppress the single mode vibration of the elastic beam and the feedback controller to get the high-accuracy positioning performance of the base cart. Input preshaping vibration suppression method based on system modeling with analytic frequency equation is proposed and integrated into the robust internal-loop compensator(RIC) to increase the robustness of the whole closed-loop system The vertical motion controller is proposed based on the dual RIC structure. Through experiments, it is shown that the proposed method can stabilize the system and suppress the vibration in the presence of uncertainties and disturbances.

This paper presents the dynamic analysis and control loop design of a zero voltage switching full bridge (ZVS-FB) PWM DC/DC converter. The small-signal model is derived incorporating the effects of phase shift control and the utilization of transformer leakage inductance and power FET junction capacitance to achieve zero voltage resonant switching. These effects are modeled by introducing additional feedforward and feedback terms for duty cycle modulation. Based on the results of the small-signal analysis, the control loop is designed using a simple two-pole one-zero compensation circuit. To show the validity of the design procedures, the small signal analysis of the closed loop system is carried out and the potential of the zero voltage switching and the superiority of the dynamic characteristics are verified through the experiment with a 2 kW prototype converter.

In this paper, we describe the synthesis of robust and non-fragile $H^{\infty}$ state feedback controllers for linear systems with affine parameter uncertainties, as well as a static state feedback controller with poly topic uncertainty. The sufficient condition of controller existence, the design method of robust and non-fragile $H^{\infty}$ static state feedback controller with fuzzy compensator, and the region of controllers that satisfies non-fragility are presented. We show that the resulting controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop system in spite of controller gain variations within a resulted polytopic region.
In this paper, we propose a generalized disturbance torque suppression control scheme of servo motors for missile fin actuators. Our controller consists of both a model based feed-forward controller and a stabilizing feedback controller. The feed-forward controller is designed such that the output of nominal plant tracks perfectly the reference position command with a desired dynamic characteristics. The feedback controller stabilizes the overall closed loop system. Furthermore, the feedback controller contains a free function that can be chosen arbitrary. The free function can be designed so as to achieve both the suppression of disturbances and the robustness to model uncertainties. In order to illuminate the superior performance of our control scheme to the conventional ones, we present some simulation results.

In this paper, we propose an image-based output feedback robust controller of robot manipulators which have bounded parametric uncertainty. The proposed controller contains an integral action and high-gain observer in order to improve steady state error of joint position and performance deterioration due to measurement errors of joint velocity. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov approach. The performance of the proposed method is demonstrated by simulations on a 5-link robot manipulators with two degrees of freedom.
In this paper, we present static output feedback model predictive tracking control for linear system with uncertainty. The proposed control law is based on integral action form to provide zero oset for constant command signals and the closed loop stability is guaranteed under linear matrix inequality conditions on the terminal weighting matrix using the decreasing monotonicity property of the performance index. Through simulation examples, we illustrate that the proposed schemes can be appropriate tracking controllers for uncertain system.

An adaptive output feedback controller is designed for tracking control of an n-link robot manipulator with unknown load. High-gain obwserver that is used to estimate joint velocities is designed to avoide the restriction of the allowable variation range of unknown parmeters as well as improve the state estimation error. We saturate the control inut outside a domain of interest and use an adaptive law with a parameter projection feature to guarantee boundedness of all the trajectories in the closed-loop system. Simulation resutls on a 2-link manipulator illustrate that when the speed of the high-gain observer is sufficiently high, the proposed controller recovers the performance under state feedback control.
