Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and t-test, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The students were relatively performed well in clinical practice setting (total M :3.78). The item of student's personal relationship between patients, patient's family, and professional staff showed high score (M=3.96). However students did not feel comfortable to communicate with patients, patient's family and professional staffs in clinical setting(mean=3.56). 2. Students who had experiences of temporal absence from school showed significant difference in the variable of academic achievement and decision making of major field in clinical practice Students who entered to nursing school with self-motive revealed statistically significant difference in the variable of clinical practice performance, academic achievement, self-esteem, self-efficacy, and decision making of major field in clinical practice. 3. There was a significant correlation between self-esteem and clinical practice performance, (r=.512, p<.000). And the relation between self-esteem and decision making of major field in clinical practice was significantly correlated(r=.377, p<.000). Self-efficacy and clinical practice performance(r=.567, p<.000), and decision making of major field in clinical practice (r=.441, p<.000) showed significant correlations. Also relation between academic achievement and self-esteem reveled a significant correlation(r=.129, p<.05) but correlation between self-efficacy and academic achievement was not significant. 4. Correlation between clinical practice performance and decision making of major field in clinical practice also identified a significant relation(r=.498, p<.000). 5. Self-esteem and self-efficacy variables predicted clinical practice performance and explained 37.7% of clinical practice performance. 6. Aptitude and personal interests(m=4.07) reveled important factor affecting to select majoring area in clinical practice, and advice from parents reflected low percentage on selecting places(m=2.42). In conclusion, the variables of self-esteem and self-efficacy showed significant correlations with the variables of student's clinical practice performance, academic achievement, and decision making of major field in clinical practice. Thus it is recommended that student's affective domain of self-esteem and self-efficacy should be developed by nursing intervention before clinical nursing education.

PURPOSE: This study analyzed the research trends related to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) to suggest an ICF utilization plan in the Korean clinical field. METHODS: In the RISS, KISS, NSDL, and PubMed databases, papers published between 2016 and July 2021 were collected by applying the search terms, 'ICF', 'international classification of functioning, disability and health', 'clinic', 'patient', and 'diagno'. The 44 papers selected were classified according to the analysis criteria, and the frequency and percentage were calculated. RESULTS: In domestic clinical trials, the frequency of ICF-related studies was in the order of physical therapy (n = 19) and occupational therapy (n = 14). The frequency of each study subject was observed in the order of studies related to a specific disease (n = 34) and prior studies (n = 7). The research topics were in the order of studies using ICF as a measurement tool (n = 21) and case studies with patients with specific diseases (n = 11). There were 18 studies using ICF codes and 14 papers applying the ICF domains. CONCLUSION: Over the last five years, ICF-related research in the domestic clinical field targeted patients with more diverse diseases in more expertise fields. Research for the unification of terms should be conducted for communication among various experts in clinical practice. To promote the use of ICF in the clinical field, it will be necessary to conduct research, such as the unification of terms, standardized education, development of ICF casebook, and development of ICF coding programs and guidelines.
The large amount of data on cancer genome research has contributed to our understanding of cancer biology. Indeed, the genomics approach has a strong advantage for analyzing multi-factorial and complicated problems, such as cancer. It is time to think about the actual usage of cancer genomics in the clinical field. The clinical cancer field has lots of unmet needs in the management of cancer patients, which has been defined in the pre-genomic era. Unmet clinical needs are not well known to bioinformaticians and even non-clinician cancer scientists. A personalized approach in the clinical field will bring potential additional challenges to cancer genomics, because most data to now have been population-based rather than individualbased. We can maximize the use of cancer genomics in the clinical field if cancer scientists, bioinformaticians, and clinicians think and work together in solving unmet clinical needs. In this review, we present one imaginary case of a cancer patient, with which we can think about unmet clinical needs to solve with cancer genomics in the diagnosis, prediction of prognosis, monitoring the status of cancer, and personalized treatment decision.
