This study explores the characteristics and ways to improve the area of science education in secondary teacher employment test (hereafter, TET). We investigated ways to differentiate second-phase science education tests from those of the first phase in the TET, and ways to improve practical tests such as designing instructional plans, teaching demonstrations, in-depth interviews, and science experiment tests. Major findings of the study include increasing the proportion of teaching demonstration while maintaining the test of designing instructional plans, which have a different focus from the paper-based exam in the first phase of the TET. Teaching demonstration tests, applying the credit of student-teaching to the TET, assessing teaching expertise in real classroom contexts focusing on subject teaching expertise, etc. along with science experiment tests, making the science experiment test compulsory for all municipal offices of education, and the necessity of evaluating the experimental design and teaching of scientific inquiry. Based on these results, developing and implementing tests such as teaching demonstrations, in-depth interviews, etc. at the local municipal education offices, introducing the apprentice teacher system, and introducing graduate schools of education were suggested.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the relations between class distracting factors and class satisfaction of the dental technology students and then provide a primary data to help further related studies and develop educational programs with which instructors can efficiently manage their classroom. Methods: For this study we have conducted a survey started from the beginning of May 2017 to the end of June. The subjects of the survey were Dental Technology students of D-city, K-city, W-city, selected by random sampling method. The questionnaire was self-administrated and 437 valid results were chosen for our analysis among 450 distributed questionnaires. Results: The results of the research was as follows. Firstly, The overall average point of class distracting factors was 2.5 point. The environmental factors were the highest point as 2.59 and as for the subcategories tiredness and drowsiness was the highest point as 2.76. Secondly, The overall average point of class satisfaction turned out 3,88 point and compliance with class and attitude factors gained the highest point as 4.06. Of the subcategories strict roll checking was the highest point as 4.17. Thirdly, As for class distracting factors from general characteristics a statistical significance was shown as follows; 'instructor factor'(p<.01), 'learner factor'(p<.05), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.05) in the area of gender, 'environmental factor'(p<.001), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.01), 'learner factor'(p<.05), 'instructor factor'(p<.05) in the area of gender 'learner factor'(p<.001), 'instructor factor'(p<.001), 'environmental factor'(p<.001), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.01) in the area of class grade, 'environmental factor'(p<.05) in GPA. Fourthly, A statistical significance, a negative correlation (p<.01) were shown between class distracting factors and class satisfaction. Class distracting factor that especially affects the class satisfaction was instructor factor(p<.001) and the explanatory power of the model turned out 14.7%, which was statistically meaningful (p<.001). Conclusion : Results of this study reveal that instructor factor is the key to class satisfaction of the students. So it is crucial that the instructor faithfully prepare for the class to reinforce the students' learning. Additionally further studies should be followed with more subjects and newer perspectives to develop innovative teaching methodology.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational usefulness, problems of smartpad-based instruction in elementary school based on qualitative research. To accomplish the purpose of the study, D elementary school in metropolitan area, two classes of digital textbook model school for seven years, were selected as the classes for observation. Six fourth and fifth graders and their teachers were interviewed and their 10 lessons were used for analyzing teaching and learning activities in smartpad-based instruction. The results of the study, 'Facilitating collaboration and interaction', 'effective use of various resource and SNS', 'improving concentrativeness', 'shortening waiting time' were identified as main educational usefulness. 'Lack of learning supporting tools', 'focusing on function rather than learning contents', 'low learning effectiveness', 'interference of flow' were presented as problems in using smartpad in classroom. Finally, some practical tasks for effective application of smartpad-based instruction were recommended.

The roles of fashion merchandisers (merchandise managers) in women's apparel industry and their perceptions of the job requirements as a fashion merchandiser were investigated to understand present fashion merchandising activities in the industry and suggest desirable roles of fashion merchandiser for further development of the industry. The research questionnaires were administered to fashion merchandisers working in the ten national brand women's apparel firms. The results of the study were as follows . 1. Annual sales volumes of most surveyed firms were more than five billions won and eight out of ten surveyed firms have fashion merchandisers in their firms. 2. Fashion merchandisers worked at a specific brand merchandising division sales and operations division or merchandise planning division. A fashion merchandiser generally supervised one brand. 3. Fashion merchandiser's work experience ranged from four to fifteen years showing a great deal of experience in the apparel industry. Their majors at university were mostly business and few majored in clothing and textiles, or textiles. 4. In general, the role of fashion merchandiser was a management specialist who was responsible for identifying target markets analyzing fashion trends, planning of the merchandise development budget planning, manufacturing planning, selling, advertising and sales promotion and distributing the merchandise. At some firms fashion merchandi-sers were not responsible for advertising, display, and receiving the orders. 5. Surveyed fashion merchandisers perceived the desirable fashion merchandiser's role as a management specialist conducting overall business activities in the areas of merchandise planning, manufacturing, selling and distribution. They also mentioned the following personal characteristics such as vision leadership, and persuasion as desirable characteri-stics for those who aspire to a career in fashion merchandising. 6. Surveyed fashion merchandisers emphasized relevant and realistic experiences in fashion merchandising education. Several ways were suggested to help the educator keep in touch with business and bring reality to students. They are . field work, bringing professionals into the classroom to speak to the students, emphasizing clothing and textiles education including merchandising area, and establishing a Department of Fashion Merchandising.
This article was to investigate the previous research as a research synthesis in the area of Mathematics Education for students with diversity including multi-cultural education, language minority, and social economic status. The following summaries were made: Recognizing equity in students with diversity; Restoring teachers' perspectives toward poststandardization; Introducing creative curricular based on students' characteristics; Application of the direct instruction; Foci on interests, challenges and mastery learning; Application of Anchored Instruction; Application of CRA; Tasks, tools, & classroom norms; Enhancement of connection and communication using small-group activity; Development of programs enriched by bilingual education; and Producing curriculum for students from North Korea.
The status of general food service administration and nutrition education was investigated in 111 elementary schools located in Inchon Metropolitan Area by questionnaires. The results are as follows ; 1. Most schools served 5 lunches per week. Meal cost per capita was 1212.1 won in urban type school and 979.0 won in rural type school. Most schools(91.9%) had 1 regular dietitian and 1 regular cook. With increasing number of students the number of temporary employees increased significantly. Most school dietitians(86.5%) were in their twenties and had 2 year careers. 2. Most dietitians(90.1%) planned the menu based on the RDA with the first consideration in nutritional needs of the students. Many dietitians(81.8%) surveyed on the food preferences of the students at least once a year. About 86% of the schools had the food service committee which was helpful. Dietitians were the first one in charge of food purchasing and checking, and sometimes a manager in general school affairs worked together. One third of the schools used the volunteer parents in food services. 3. Most school dietitians(97.2%) gave the students nutrition education using handouts once a week. However, they could not teach the students through the classroom lecture because they are not the regular teachers. Food garbages were removed by the professional trash collecting company or by using fermentation machines or by giving them to animals as feeds. School events concerning the food and nutrition were mostly drawing pictures and composition. Only 36.4% of the school dietitians had experienced in nutrition counseling for an individual student. Most of them(99.1%) thought that individual counseling is necessary if they have enough time and chances to do.
The underlying purpose of this paper is to interest scholars in 'Trade English'. 'Trade English' has to be recognized as one area of 'International Trade' disciplines and more studies have to be carried out with more attention from the scholars. Although there are many areas to be dealt with in 'Trade English', this paper discusses about the syllabus design of 'Trade English' from an educator's point of view. First of all, this paper reviews some theoretical background researches about needs analysis and syllabus design in 'Trade English' teaching and learning as ESP. With a systematic structure under the decent syllabus, selection and sequence of contents get clear and easier. Secondly, along with the rationals based on theoretical researches, how these theories are being or can be applied to the real classroom are discussed for further studies. A different syllabus would be designed according to needs analysis. In reality, the syllabus for practitioners who are doing their jobs in International Trade areas has to be definitely different from the one for pre-practitioners who are studying in International Trade areas at the tertiary education level. Namely, different learners present different needs and different needs make up the different syllabus. In order to provide these learners with the syllabus which can address their own needs, more researches or studies have to be done in the future. Since 'Trade English' is the discipline where two areas-International Trade and English as a second/foreign language-are mixed, the researches or studies also have to be carried out collaboratively by scholars from both areas.

This study aims at revealing important utilization planning by surveying and analyzing unused classrooms in primary school's facilities. That is various and positive utilization planning of unused classrooms in order to cope with the changes of educational environment focused on high and multi-functionization, rather qualitative aspect than quantitative. By field-survey and interview, physical and environmental factors such as, the change procedure of students, unused facilities in schools and improvement affairs and purpose stressed by schools were surveyed. Additionally, the way of educational facilities to future society linked with residents was examined by surveying about the relationship between educational facilities and regional communities. The curriculums and "School facilities standard ordinance" have been revised in part by several times individually and couldn't meet with educational facilities, educational and social change positively. In rural area, to apply the standard of the capacity by a class with 40 students like city is not desirable. To make educational environment better qualitatively, the capacity should be reduced by 30 students and the unit square per a student enlarged by $2.4m^2$. By room unit module "school institution and managerial regulations under high school" should be applied distinctively to break down like 6, 7~12, 13~24 and over 25 classes. So re-institution of the capacity by a class and the standard unit of the number of class by scale is needed.
Objectives : The study investigated the actual condition of the class for Qi-gong gymnastics among health promotion service programs using oriental medicines, which the public health center has been conducting for local residents. Method : Of a total of 964 oriental medical physician in public health center across the country, it examined 27 places consisting of public health centers and public health sub-centers, and public hospitals, all of which were running the class for Qi-gong gymnastics. Then, it carried out the tele research of those oriental medical physicians in charge of the class there. Result : As a result, area that is enforcing the Class for Qi-gong Gymnastics was expose each attempt that difference is particularly, and appeared by thing which form and practice law that operate the classroom are various. Also, in many cases, the oriental medical physicians instructed the gymnastics directly instead of inviting an external lecturer. Conclusions : In conclusion, based on the contents surveyed, by making the well-organized system of the class for Qi-gong excercise; by developing the common excercise and texts; and by publicizing and educating the oriental medical physicians engaged in public health, that the Class for Qi-gong Gymnastics is real in health promotion of local residents.

The purpose of this research is to discover how Practical Reasoning Home Economics Instruction(PRHEI) applied to food and nutrition units would impact on the morality of female high school students. The research sample was drawn from the two freshman classes of \"M\" High School far Girls. located in the Pusan area. One classroom of 50 students was used as the test group and the other of 47 as the control group for the total of 97 students. Measuring the intellectual and behavioral morality scores followed the pre-post test design under which the PRHEI was administered to the test group during the period of eight weeks in a semester. Whereas the control group received the conventional lecture-oriented instruction during the same period. The effects of PRHEI on morality were measured using the system developed in 1972 by Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. and translated by Kim. Ahn-Jung in 1982. The system developed by Yang. Byung-Han in 1994 was utilized to measure the behavioral morality score. In analyzing the collected data. SPSS/WIN was used to generate means standard deviation and t-test. The research findings are as follows : First. The students who have been taught under the PRHEI score higher on the intellectual morality scale than the control group receiving the lecture-oriented instruction. Second. The test croup students do not show any notable differences from the control group students receiving the lecture-oriented approach on the behavioral morality scale; however, the former do show statistically significant differences from the latter in the sub-factor of honesty scoring higher means over the control group.
