충남 덕산도립공원 탐방객 만족도와 재방문 의사 (Visitors' Satisfaction level and Intention to Revisit for Chungcheongnam-do Deoksan Provincial Park)

  • The purpose of this research is to provide characteristics and satisfaction of visitors for Deoksan Provincial Park in Chungcheongnam-do. This study conducted face-to-face interview during Oct. to Nov. in 2022. Total sample size of this study was 521. This study used to implement frequency analysis, cross analysis and logit analysis via SPSS 21.0 version. The results showed most of visitors were one day visitors and visited with family and relatives. Many visitors visited the Deoksan Provincial Park to climb the mountain and relaxing/healing with the nature. The satisfaction level of factors such as nature, facility, access to information of the park was high with about more than 4-point on Likert scale. This study would be useful to develop site-specific policies to the management of provincial parks as this study identified the characteristics and satisfaction level of the visitors.

통행거리빈도분포를 활용한 고속도로 기능 평가 개선 연구 (A study on improving the evaluation of motorway functions using Trip Length Frequency Distribution(TLFD))

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an index for evaluating the function of a new motorway using the travel distance frequency distribution (TLFD) calculated using the vehicle travel route big data, and to overcome the limitations of the evaluation through the existing traffic volume. The mobility evaluation index of motorways was developed by applying it to the TLFD data table in 2019. The smaller the value of the mobility evaluation index of the link is calculated, the more it is a link with mainly short-distance travel, and the higher the value of the mobility evaluation index, the more it means a link with mainly long-distance travel. The accessibility evaluation index was calculated through the result of the mobility evaluation index of all motorways developed, and all motorways were grouped into three groups using K-means clustering. Group A was found to exist inside a large city and consisted of motorways with many short-distance traffic, Group B was investigated as acting as an arterial between groups, and Group C was classified as a motorway consisting mainly of long-distance traffic connecting large cities and large cities. This study is significant in developing a new motorway function evaluation index that can overcome the limitations of motorway function evaluation through the existing traffic volume. It is expected that this study can be a reasonable comprehensive indicator in the operation and planning process of motorways.

Research on the Correlation Between Rail Transit Entrances and Urban Form in High-Density Areas

  • The transport system and its infrastructure are not only the fundamental means of sustaining the operation of contemporary cities, but also important drivers for the evolution of urban form. Rail transit, critical to improving the operational efficiency and optimizing the spatial layout in cities, is one of the critical conditions for high-density areas with limited land and concentrated resources to be compact to take on complex challenges. As a node element of infrastructure, rail transit entrances are the most important points connecting the rail transit system with urban space. Although influenced by urban form, their quantity and location also influence and shape the evolution of urban space form. Based on the development gap of high-density areas in various contexts, focusing on various rail transit stations in Asia, this research analyzes the correlation between rail transit entrances and peripheral high-density urban form in a delicate, dynamic and granular way. The research considers both horizontal and vertical perspectives, in combination with the urban evolution process in time series, to explore the development trend of high-density urban form in Asia from the aspect of correlation, and building a new foundation for research on urban form, suitable for different types of cities.

  • Purpose - The focal point of this research is to study the implications of retention, various reasons for attrition and also different ways to control attrition along with the employee retention strategies implementing by the Indian IT sector. Research design, data and methodology - After thorough literature review on employee attrition and retention, questionnaire has prepared to collect the opinions of 200 employees which were chosen from 20 IT companies (10 each from large and medium size companies) with simple random sampling technique and also gathered the opinion of these companies HR managers on strategies they are implementing to retain their talent pool through personal and telephonic interviews. Results -The research completely limited to the IT companies located in the city of Pune which is emerged as a new IT hub of India. The collected data was analyzed with Microsoft Excel and frequency distribution. Conclusions - The researchers identified job associated, compensation related and inter-personal relations for quitting their positions along with the outlook of Indian IT companies related to the identification and implementation of retention strategies like incessant hikes in compensation package, improved working conditions, continuous introduction of employee welfare facilities, and genuine promotional policy, recognition and rewards, career planning and development, and exemplary leadership.

Mechanism of strength damage of red clay roadbed by acid rain

  • Acid rain of soils has a significant impact on mechanical properties. An X-ray diffraction test, scanning electron microscope (SEM) test, laser particle size analysis test, and triaxial unconsolidated undrained (UU) test were carried out in red clay soils with different compaction degrees under the effect of different concentrations of acid. The experiments demonstrated that: the dissolution effect of acid rain on colluvium weakened with the increase in the compacting degree under the condition of certain pH values, i.e., the damage to the structure of red clay soil was relatively light, where the number of newly increased pores in the soil decreased and the agglomeration of soil particles increased; for the same compacting degree, the structural gap decreased, and the agglomeration increased with the increase in the pH value (acidity decreases) of the acid rain; the dissolution rate of Si, Al, Fe, and other elemental minerals and cement in red clay soil was found to be higher under the effect of acid rain, in turn destroying the original structure of the soil body and producing a large number of pores. This is macroscopically expressed as the decrease of the soil cohesion and internal friction angle, thereby reducing the shear strength of the soil body.

  • The world is currently undergoing an intense urbanization process. The percentage of urban dwellers has never been so high. In 2010, and for the first time, urban population surpassed the rural one, accounting for 51% of global population, and this trend will continue in the forthcoming years. This increment in concentration of population and supporting assets in cities, make their performance a critical issue for world population. Recent events such as Fukushima tsunami and the hurricane Katrina have shown how fragile built environments are and the unpredictability of occurrence and magnitude of the hazards. Such an expansion of the world's urban population, together with an increase in severity and number of hazards and catastrophes, has put under the spotlight the necessity to build cities not only sustainable, but resilient. Decision makers should acknowledge failure as an option, and the importance of developing city resilience. This paper will provide an initial review on urban resilience, definitions and assessment approaches as a first step for decision makers to account for resilience in their decision making process.

역량기반 교육과정 개발 사례연구: 광주·전남 패션디자인 전공을 중심으로 (A Case Study for the Development of a Competency-Based Fashion Design Curriculum in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do)

  • This case study is centered on the developing process for the curriculum of fashion design major that is focused on the concept of competency, which is becoming increasingly more important in universities. The purpose of this study is to develop a competency-oriented curriculum for fashion design majors based on recent social changes that accentuate the importance of competency in such programs. In order to establish a competency-oriented curriculum of the Department of Fashion Design, the researchers examined environmental trends within the fashion industry, the curriculum and major competencies of other universities were examined. As a result, the key ability types of the Department of Fashion Design at A University, a local private university, were determined to be: communication and consideration, creativity and convergence, digital fashion, and practical adaptability. Four major abilities were selected to develop competencies suitable for the aforementioned ability types. These abilities are design planning and development, creative and convergent thinking, integrated information search and utilization, and field expertise application. From there, the curriculum was organized with these four major abilities in mind, and curriculum completion plans were developed for each grade and semester according to the stage and level of contents for each subject. To ensure the validity of the curriculum, it is necessary to develop a back-flow system that demonstrates whether the targer competency has been acquired through a competence-based curriculum.

Central giant-cell granuloma in a patient with neurofibromatosis type 1: 7 years of follow-up

  • Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomally dominant tumor suppressor syndrome and multisystem disease. Central giant-cell granulomas (CGCGs) can be seen in patients with NF1. A 21-year-old female was diagnosed with two CGCGs, one in the mandible and then one in the maxilla, in a 7-year period. Increased incidence of CGCGs in NF1 patients was thought to be caused by an underlying susceptibility to developing CGCG-like lesions in qualitatively abnormal bone, such as fibrous dysplasia. However, germline and somatic truncating second-hit mutations in the NF1 gene have been detected in NF1 patients with CGCGs, validating that they are NF1-associated lesions. Oral manifestations in patients with NF1 are very common. Knowledge of these manifestations and the genetic link between NF1 and CGCGs will enhance early detection and enable optimal patient care.

도시별 이미지 전략 요인의 경향 분석 (Trend Analysis of Strategic Factors to Promote the Image of Cities)

  • 과거 도시경관의 목표가 범국가적으로 아름다운 도시 만들기였다면, 이제는 '살고 싶은 도시 만들기' 나아가 '나만의 도시 만들기'와 같은 각기 다른 도시 만들기가 도시 이미지 전략의 목표가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 선진 사례들을 분석하여 도시 이미지 정책의 경향을 새롭게 정리함으로써 오늘날 우리나라 도시에 적합한 도시 이미지 개선 전략을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 1. 도시 이미지는 랜드마크의 수립이나 장소 만들기, 축제, 특산품 등 다양한 전략적 수단을 통해 개선될 수 있으며, 이러한 요인은 경관 생태적 요인, 역사 문화적 요인, 행정 경제적 요인으로 분류된다. 2. 우리나라 광역시들은 풍부한 재정지원을 통해 주로 산업기반 시설설치, 기업지원, 광고 및 마케팅 등의 행정 경제적 요인들을 활용하여 도시 이미지 전략을 수립하여 추진하고 있다. 반면, 지방 도시들은 축제와 같은 저비용으로 단기적인 효과가 가시적으로 나타나는 수단만을 주로 활용하고 있다. 결국 축제 본연의 취지와는 달리 특별한 경쟁력이나 지역 정체성의 반영 없는 단순한 흥미 위주의 프로그램만을 되풀이하고 있기 때문에 중앙정부 차원에서의 전체적인 마스터플랜 수립과 이를 기초로 지역적 균형을 고려한 고유의 다양한 도시 이미지 전략수단 마련이 요구된다. 3.서구의 주요 도시들은 시대적 변화에 맞추어 고유의 정체성을 살린 자체적인 도시 이미지 전략을 수립하여 추진함으로써 도시 이미지를 한층 업그레이드 하고 있다. 한편, 일본은 다른 구미의 선진국들과 달리 오랜 역사를 기반으로한 고유의 전통 문화를 도시 이미지 전략의 핵심 키워드로 구축하여 다양한 전통축제 및 마을가꾸기 등을 추진하고 있다. 특히 자치단체의 기획안에 따라 적극적인 주민들의 호응과 참여 속에서 구미 도시와는 다른 독특한 도시브랜딩 정책을 추진하고 있다. 오늘날 소득 20,000달러 시대를 여는 시점에서 우리나라도 과거 선진사례에 대한 무비판적인 수용보다는 '한국다움'을 찾아내고 이를 토대로 하는 개성있고 다양한 도시 이미지를 확립하여야 할 것이다.

도시형 국립공원 둘레길 조성에 대한 시민 인식 - 북한산국립공원 둘레길에 대한 서울 시민의 인식을 중심으로 - (Perceptions on the Nature Trail in the National Park in the City - Focused on the Seoulite's Perception on Dullegil in Bukhansan National Park, Korea -)

  • 본 연구는 대표적인 도시형 국립공원이라고 할 수 있는 북한산국립공원을 대상으로 공원 환경과 이용의 지속가능성을 위한 새로운 탐방문화로서 도입, 운영 중인 둘레길 조성에 대한 서울시민의 인식을 파악하여 향후 보다 활발한 조성이 예상되는 도시형 국립공원 내 둘레길 조성을 위한 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울시에 거주하는 20~69세 남녀를 조사대상으로 권역/성/연령대별로 모집단을 비례 할당 후 무작위 추출 방법으로 표본을 추출하였고, 전화면접조사를 통해 총 300명을 유효표본으로 분석에 이용하였다. 연구결과 서울시민의 65% 이상이 등산활동을 하고 있으며 주로 정상지향형 등반행태를 보였다. 북한산국립공원 둘레길에 대한 이용의사는 58%로 매우 높게 나타나 산정상부로 집중된 탐방행태를 개선하기 위한 대안으로서 둘레길에 대한 향후 이용 가능성을 가늠해 볼 수 있다. 그러나 주 등산계층에서는 이용의사가 상대적으로 낮아 산정상부의 탐방집중을 분산하기 위한 둘레길 조성의 효과에 한계가 있을 수 있음을 시사해 주고 있다. 관리방향에 대해서는 보전지향적 관리가 이용보다는 우세하게 나타났으나 대다수는 이용과 보전의 균형적 관리를 선호하는 것으로 조사되었다. 둘레길의 조성원칙으로는 '자원보전노력'이, 조성방향으로는 '북한산의 생태환경 보존과 생태적 가치 향유'를 가장 중요하게 고려해야 할 요소로 들었으며, 안전시설이 가장 필요한 시설로 나타났다. 적정 탐방시간은 1~3시간, 적정길이는 11~20km를 가장 선호하는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구는 조사대상지가 북한산국립공원에 한정되고 서울시민만을 대상으로 잠재적 이용 수요 분석에 머문 한계를 지니고 있다. 도시형 국립공원의 둘레길 조성과 관리를 위한 보다 일반화 될 수 있는 결과의 도출을 위해서는 탐방세분시장별, 행태별, 수요별로 세분화된 후속연구가 요망된다.
