The Relationship between Metacognition, Learning Flow, and Problem-Solving Ability of Dental Hygiene Students

  • Background: This study aims to improve dental hygiene education by investigating the relationship between metacognition, learning flow, and problem-solving abilities in dental hygiene majors. Methods: A survey was conducted on 2nd to 4th-year students from dental hygiene programs, with 132 responses analyzed. Data analysis involved t-tests and ANOVA to examine the differences in metacognition, learning flow, and problem-solving abilities based on the general characteristics. Multiple regression analysis was employed to investigate the factors influencing the dependent variable, which is problem-solving abilities. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS. Results: First, when comparing metacognition, learning flow, and problem-solving abilities based on the general characteristics of the study participants, statistically significant differences were observed in common factors such as major satisfaction, subjective academic performance, GPA (grade point average), and reason for major choice (p<0.05). Second, it was found that there is a significant positive correlation between metacognition, learning flow, and problem-solving abilities in dental hygiene students (r≥0.79, p<0.05). In other words, higher levels of metacognition and learning flow were associated with better problem-solving abilities. Third, factors influencing problem-solving abilities were identified, with both metacognition and learning flow having a statistically significant positive impact. It was also noted that metacognition had a greater influence on problem-solving abilities compared to learning flow (adjusted R2=0.815, p<0.05). Conclusion: To enhance the core competency of problem-solving abilities, it is essential to improve metacognition and learning flow. To enhance metacognition and promote learning flow, strategies such as goal setting, utilizing effective learning methods, boosting self-efficacy, managing the learning environment, choosing activities that foster immersion, stress management, self-assessment and feedback integration, improving focus, and utilization a variety of learning experiences will be necessary.

경기도 자살사망자의 자살방법에 영향을 미치는 요인 -5개년(2016~2020년) 자살사망자 자료 분석을 바탕으로- (Factors Influencing Suicide Methods in Gyeonggi-do Suicide Deceased: Based on the 5-year (2016~2020) Suicide Death Data Analysis)

  • Objectives: Suicide rate in South Korea is one of the major public health concerns. This study examined the factors influencing the suicide methods of people who committed suicide in Gyeonggi-do, which accounts for one-fourth of the population of South Korea. Methods: This study analyzed the data of a total of 13,945 suicide deaths in Gyeonggi-do over a five-year period (2016-2020) provided by the Statistics Korea and the influence of social and demographic characteristics on the analyzed suicide methods. The differences in suicide methods according to the social and demographic characteristics of suicide victims were compared and analyzed through chi-squared, and items with significant differences in univariate tests were analyzed by multiple logisitic regression analysis. Results: Among suicide deaths, the most common method of suicide was hanging (52.4%). In particular, women, were employed, and stayed at home were higher risk of being hanged. The second most common method of suicide was leaping (17.7%). Women under the age of 30, those with a college degree or higher, those who were not working, time of death (6-12), and those outside the home were more likely to choose to take the leap. The third most common method of suicide was gas poisoning (15.8%). Young people under the age of 65, college graduates or higher, without a spouse, were employed, and spring season were at increased risk of choosing gas poisoning. Conclusions: The results highlight the need for policies that consider risk factors such as gender, age, education, marital status, employments status, time of suicide, and place of suicide in order to block access to suicide methods for suicide victims in Gyeonggi-do.

  • 80년대의 거품경제 붕괴 후로는 가격, 용도, 품질, 실질 성 등 상품 기본가치를 중시하는 성숙된 소비사회로 전환될 수 있는 가치를 상품이 실현하고 있는 가이며, 딸서 기본에 충실하고 합리적인 차별화를 제시하는 등 소비자가 자신의 실생활에 있어서 중요하게 생각하고 있는 가치관과 조화를 이루는 상품성이다. 이러한 조건 속에서 소비자 수요의 단순한 발견에 의해 디자인 개념을 설정하는 것을 뛰어 넘어 소비자의 다양한 수요를 이끌어 갈 수 있고 기업의 시장 우위확보를 위한 경쟁력 제고 및 정체성 정립을 위한 방법의 하나로 디자인 인자 지향적 프로세스(factor oriented process)를 기초로 한 다원적 프로세스(multi-sequential process)를 제안한다. 이 인자 지향적 프로세스는 프로세스 내부의 요인 분석(分析) 및 특히 이들의 합성(合成)을 중시하여 이에 의해 새로운 해결안을 그 특성으로 하고 디자인 개발에 합리적인 근거를 제시하도록 한다. 이는 합성과정이란 분류된 인자의 특성에 의해 인자들을 체계적으로 조합하는 과정에 내재하는 제한 요소 사이의 상관관계를 분석하여 우위 인자(dominant factor)를 발견하고 이에 의해 가능한 몇 가지 코드를 만들어 디자인 개념의 방향을 제시하게 되어 디자인 모체를 만드는 과정이다. 다원적 디자인 프로세스란 폭 넓은 접근 방법으로 안으로는 제품 내에 존재하는 우위 인자의 규명에 의한 차별화된 대안들을 찾아내고 밖으로는 관련제품과의 연계성(連繫性)까지 고려한 선행 인자(anterior factor-다 가치 적 기준으로 디자인 방향을 결정해 주는 방향인자)를 찾아내 디자인 방향의 당위적 결정을 유도하는 디자인 프로세스이다.

체인 패밀리 레스토랑의 고객 만족 및 고객 충성도에 미치는 요인 분석 (Analysis of the Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty in a Family Restaurant Chain)

  • Purpose - When it comes to first impressions of family restaurants, people basically think of the following factors: cozy, a refreshing space, indoor lighting, atmospheric music, the best-quality service through mutual interactions with employees, birthday events, follow-up customer management, brand image, and many others. Focusing on such family restaurants characteristics, with consumption experience and customer satisfaction determined as mediator variables, this study looks into the selection factors that affect customer loyalty when choosing a family restaurant. Subsequently, the study conducts an empirical analysis of these selection factors with the greatest influence. Research design, data, and methodology - This study analyzed 200 total surveys of family restaurant customers including college students, workers, housewives, and others. The survey was conducted over two weeks in May 2014. For statistical processing, SPSS 21 was used for factor analysis and reliability analysis as well as AMOS for structural equation analysis. In terms of a variable that would influence either consumption experience or customer satisfaction at the restaurants, the study introduced the concept of customer equity. The study designed a model based on a hypothesis developed using the following factors: customer encounter service value, customer convenience value, brand equity, relationship equity, and other factors defined as components of customer equity by Rust et al. (2000) determined as independent variables as well as with customer experience and customer satisfaction set as mediator variables. The hypothesis, after all, assumed that customer loyalty would be positively (+) influenced. Results - The analysis results from the study reported that brand value, customer encounter service value, and relationship value have positive (+) effects on consumption experience and customer satisfaction. However, as for customer convenience value, this turned out not to have a statistically significant influence on consumption experience and customer satisfaction. In regard to a relation between consumption experience and customer satisfaction, the results showed that the former affects the latter, and in terms of intervening variables, both of these appeared to have a positive (+) effect on customer loyalty. Conclusions - This study suggests that family restaurants should look for strategies that focus on how to promote customer relationships. For example, restaurants could try birthday events or discount events to achieve this goal. Since the study ended up realizing relatively low levels of suitability and statistical significance, the path of the study changed. After all, in order to increase suitability and statistical significance, the study had to eliminate factors such as service quality and others and for this reason the study was unable to conduct the analysis as initially planned. In addition, the data samples of the research were mainly gathered from students, which made it hard to say that the analysis was carried out on samples from every different group. Future research should analyze the characteristics of each group of customers for factors affecting customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in the family restaurant chain.

일개지역 전문대학 보건행정과 학생들의 전공 만족과 향후 진로 선택의 상관성 (Correlation Between Major Satisfaction and Further Career Choices of the Students in the Department of Health Administration College)

  • 본 연구 대상은 광주 전남 보건행정학과 대학생으로 전공과 만족을 일반, 관계, 인식, 교과만족도에 따라 만족도를 파악하고 향후 진로 선택과 상관성을 설문을 통하여 조사 하였다. 광주광역시 3곳, 전라남도 4개의 전문대학 대학생 270명을 편의 추출하였다. 연구결과 연구 대상자 중 향후 전공 진로를 의무기록사로 선택하고자 하는 대상자가 가장 많았으며, 그 중 62.4%가 전공과에 만족하였고, 향후 진로별로 전공 만족도는 차이가 있었으며, 의무기록사를 선택하고자 하는 학생들이 타 전공 진로를 선택하고자 하는 학생에 비해 전공과 만족이 높았다. 보건행정학과 학생의 전공 진로 선택에 전공 만족이 미치는 영향 요인 중 일반적인 특성에서 3학년에 비해 2학년의 전공 만족도가 4.13배 높았고, 입학 당시 비자발적으로 선택한 그룹에 비해 자발적으로 전공(학과)을 선택한 그룹의 전공만족도가 8.04배 유의하게 높았다. 전공 만족 하위 영역 중 전공만족에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 인식 만족도가 하인 그룹에 비해 상인 그룹에서 전공 만족도가 3.93배 유의하게 높았다. 전공과 만족이 향후 진로 선택에 미치는 영향을 로지스틱 분석한 결과 전공 진로를 의무기록사로 선택하고자 하였을 경우 의무기록사를 선택하지 않은 학생들에 비해 전공 만족도가 2.06배 유의하게 높았고, 비자발적으로 선택한 의무기록사 그룹보다 자발적으로 선택한 의무기록사 그룹에서 전공만족도가 4.51배 유의하게 높았다. 전공과 만족 및 향후 진로에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 하고 전공 만족 하위영역 중 인식 만족도가 높을수록 전공과 선택에 만족하며, 진로에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 하고 있을 때 진로 선택과 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전공 진로가 다양한 보건행정 학과 특성을 고려한 각 전공 진로별 전공 만족도를 높이는 방안이 고려되어야 할 것이다.

개원의의 진료의뢰시 기대요인 및 만족도에 관한 연구 - 협력병원체제 여부를 중심으로- (A Study on Anticipating Factors and Satisfaction of Local Clinics to 2nd Referral Hospitals based on Collaboration Hospital System)

  • 본 연구에서는 종합전문요양기관과 협력관계를 맺은 병의원과 협력관계를 맺지 않은 병의원을 대상으로 진료의뢰와 관련된 중요고려요인, 그리고 기대요인 및 만족도를 비교하였다. 본 연구 결과 종합전문요양기관과의 협력관계 체결여부에 따라 협력병원 집단군이 협력관계가 없는 병원집단군보다 진료의뢰 중요요인의 평균이 높았으며, 그 중 '환자 의뢰절차의 간편성(p<0.01)' '병원간의 협력병원 체재 구축(p<0.05)'에 대해서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 협력병원 여부에 따른 진료의뢰후 기대요인에 있어서는 '의료시설 및 장비의 이용' '종합전문요양기관 의료진과의 자유로운 인간관계 형성' '협력기관이라는 간판의 설치' 항목 등이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 그러나 협력병원 관계 여부에 따른 만족도에 있어 두 집단간 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 개원의가 진료의뢰 시 중요하게 고려하는 요인과 진료의뢰후의 만족도간의 관계는 협력병원에 있어 '환자의뢰 절차의 간편성' '첨단 의료장비의 보유' '진료의뢰센터 직원의 친절도' 항목이 만족도보다 고려요인에서 높게 고려되고 있다고 조사되었으며 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이고 있었다.

탄산음료와 탄산수의 대체관계에 영향을 미치는 식품선택요인 연구 (The Effect of Consumers' Factors of Food Choices on Replacing Soft Drinks with Carbonated Water)

  • Objectives: This research was conducted to identify the consumers' food choice factors that affect the consumers' replacement of soft drinks with carbonated water. Methods: The present study used secondary data from a consumer panel survey conducted by the Rural Development Administration of Korea, and the data included the panel members' purchase records based on their monthly spending receipts. The survey asked the participants about their food choice factors and their personal responsibility for their health. This survey included independent variables for the consumers' food purchase factors. As a dependent variable, two types of groups were defined. The replacement group included those people who increased their purchase of carbonated water and decreased their purchase of soft drinks. The non-replacement group included those people who did not change their purchase patterns or they increased their purchase of soft drinks and they decreased their purchase of carbonated water. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine the consumers' food choice factors that were associated with replacing soft drinks with carbonated water. Results: The replacement group was significantly associated with (1) a younger age (OR=0.953), (2) being a housewife (OR=2.03), (3) higher income (OR=1.001) and (4) less concern about price (OR=0.819) when purchasing food. This group also showed (5) higher enjoyment (OR=1.328) when choosing food and (6) they took greater responsibly for their personal health (OR=1.233). Conclusions: This research is the first study to mainly focus on soft drinks and carbonated water. The result of this research showed that young, health-conscious consumers with a higher income and who are more interested in food have more possibilities to replace soft drinks with carbonated water. These research findings may be applied to consumers who have characteristics that are similar to the young health-conscious consumers and the results can help to suggest ways to reduce sugar intake and improve public health. However, this research has a limitation due to the application of secondary data. Therefore, a future study is needed to develop detailed survey questions about food choice factors and to extend these factors to all beverages, including soft drinks made with sugar substitutes, so as to reflect the growth of alternative industries that use artificial sweeteners or different types of sugar to make commercially available drinks.

국내 프랜차이즈 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Factors Affecting the Performance of Korean Franchise Business by Stages)

  • 점점 높아져 가는 프랜차이즈 사업에 대한 관심과 상반되게 프랜차이즈 사업에 관한 연구는 고객만족을 위한 연구와 단편적 운영 지침서들에 머무를 뿐 운영자 시각에서 성공요인을 분석하고, 창업단계 및 운영단계로 나눠 실증한 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 또한, 식품분야의 프랜차이즈 사업에 대한 연구가 주를 이루고 었어 식품과 비식품 프랜차이즈 사업에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 비교연구는 지금까지 제대로 이뤄져 오지 못했다. 이에 본 연구는 프랜차이즈 사업의 단계별 업종별 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고 이를 토대로 국내 프랜차이즈 사업을 준비하는 예비창업자들이 실천해야 할 성공전략을 제시하였다. 연구결과 창업단계의 성장요인으로 사업적성의 여부, 사업조직의 여부, 사업아이템의 적합성, 경쟁구도와 본사자문의 여부가 선별되었고, 운영단계의 성공요인으로는 슈퍼바이저의 능력, 본사와 가맹점의 마케팅 능력, 본사지원의 유무, 고객관리능력, 직원만족이 도출되었다.

A comparative study on different walking load models

  • Excessive vibrations can occur in long-span structures such as floors or footbridges due to occupant?s daily activity like walking and cause a so-called vibration serviceability issue. Since 1970s, researchers have proposed many human walking load models, and some of them have even been adopted by major design guidelines. Despite their wide applications in structural vibration serviceability problems, differences between these models in predicting structural responses are not clear. This paper collects 19 popular walking load models and compares their effects on structure?s responses when subjected to the human walking loads. Model parameters are first compared among all these models including orders of components, dynamic load factors, phase angles and function forms. The responses of a single-degree-of-freedom system with various natural frequencies to the 19 load models are then calculated and compared in terms of peak values and root mean square values. Case studies on simulated structures and an existing long-span floor are further presented. Comparisons between predicted responses, guideline requirements and field measurements are conducted. All the results demonstrate that the differences among all the models are significant, indicating that in a practical design, choosing a proper walking load model is crucial for the structure?s vibration serviceability assessment.

AHP 기법을 이용한 비알콜성 지방간에 인진호탕(茵蔯蒿湯) 선택과정 분석 (Diagnostic Process Analysis of Prescribing Injinho-tang in Non Alcohoic Fatty Liver Disease Using by AHP)

  • Objectives: Lately, non alcoholic fatty liver patients are increasing rapidly and the average age of patients are getting younger. Non alcoholic fatty liver often represents asymptomatic and korean pattern diagnosis is difficult to implement without symptoms. This study aimed to analyze interrelationship between non alcoholic fatty liver disease and Injinho-tang. Methods The AHP is a systematic procedure for analyzing the elements of any problem hierarchically. Based on survey of expertise, as series of pairwise comparison judgements is performed to evaluate the various elements in the hierarchy. We are expected to use the AHP analysis that would apply to oriental doctor's diagnostic process analysis. Results and conclusion Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease induced complex causes of the metabolic syndrome. Injinho-tang has been widely used disease that causes jaundice and liver biliary disease. According to AHP analysis, LFT is the most important facor in choosing Injinho-tang on non alcoholic fatty liver disease. BMI and body composition by bioelectrical impedance analysis are the next important factors. Personal hot temper also gives a big impact on choicing Injinho-tang on non alcoholic fatty liver disease.
