  • According to the complexity and the pluralism of the modern cities, they are changing themselves into the multinoded and social - classless urban environments. The sudden drift of population to the cities is giving rise to the serious environmental problems, and the rapid increase of recreational needs among the citizen is changing the urban society into a leisure - oriented one. In order to coping with the abrupt change in the social and natural urban environments, the various fields of urban society should be co - ordinated. The study uses the green - city concept to get solves the incongruity of urban structure in Chonju City. The existing open space maps were drawn up by the various techniques such as the analysis of the topographic maps and collected data, the interpretation of the aero-photographs and the reconnaissance of site. The authors suggested the existing condition, and the problems and potentials of open space elements in Chonju City through the analysis of the existing condition maps. After synthesizing the contents of analysis, the 7u(hors established an exclusive open space system for Chonju City.

우리 나라 지방자치단체의 조경 전문직 신설 필요성에 관한 사례연구 -전라북도 전주시를 대상으로- (Needs for Establishing Professional Personnel Position of Landscape Architecture in Local Government of South Korea -The Case of Chonju City, Chollabuk-Do-)

  • The purpose of this case study is to provide the basic knowledge and the rationale for establishing the professional personnel position of Landscape Architecture(LA) in local Government of Korea o the basis of the characteristics and adoption system of professional personnel organization in comparison with the cases of Japan, the United States of America, and Germany. I have analyzed the case of Chonju City, Chollabuk-Do, recruited professional personnel of LA by using informal career position, to justify the needs and the division of professional Landscaping works of the city and to figure out drawbacks of the current adoption system of professional personnel in South Korea. In have found the following results that 1) City Mayor in Korean local Governments do not have the proper authorizing rights of recruiting the special personnels for performing urban policy, which is under controls of the Official Appointment Regulations, 2) because of no official position status for specialist in the fields of LA, the Chonju City had been recruited them as Urban Planner status through an informal process, 3) the section of Park and Urban Forestry was established under the control of Department of Culture and multimedia Industry, 4) the fields of specialized works of LA are defined as the work of ecopolis design and planning, biotope networking, ecological bridge and ecological restorations, and 5) the professional positions for LA should be established in Official Appointment Regulation for the urgent needs of local Government sin South Korea.

전주지역 강수의 황동위원소비와 대기오염원의 추적자로서 그 유용성 (Sulfur Isotopic Ratios in Precipitation around Chonju-city, Korea and Its Availability as a Tracer of the Source of Atmospheric Pollutants)

  • In order to investigate the origin of sulfate in rain waters and to evaluate the feasibility of using sulfur isotope method as a tracer of atmospheric pollutants, the sulfur isotopic ratio of sulfate in rain waters collected in Chonju city from October 1994 to March 1995 was monitored and was compared with those of possible sources proposed by previous works. The pH of rain waters shows an intermediate acidic range from 4.45 to 6.88 and their daily variation appears to be well correlated with to the amount of precipitation. The sulfur isotopic ratios of sulfate in rain waters show a highly restricted range from 0.0 to + 1.8‰. The ${\delta}^{34}S$ values are similar to those of soil and pine tree surrounding Chonju city, but largely deviate from those of China. D-parameter($d={\delta}D-8{\delta}^{18}O$) of rain waters varies from 9.4 to 28.8. The values indicate that the rain waters in Chonju city are originated from the rainy front of China continent. All data obtained from this study suggested that sulfate in the rain waters collected in Chonju city was mainly derived from the sulfur dioxide gas emitted by the petroleum combustion. Therefore, sulfur isotopic study for the precipitation provided an excellent tool for environmental assessment in this region and for tracing the source of atmospheric pollutants.

  • In the cellular mobile communications as decreasing the cell radius to increse the reuse factor of frequencies, the handoff requests are increasing so that the efficient handoff decision making becomes a crucial problem. In this simulation study, we evaluate a set of handoff algorithms based on fuzzy-multicriteria decision making. These algorithms uses the parameters including the received signal strength intensity, the bit error rate and the distance between a mobile station and a base station. We compare the fuzzy algorithms in terms of call block ratio and handoff request ratio and call force ratio, and show the applicability of those algorithms in the cellular mobile communication systems.

경관정체성 향상을 위한 전주팔경의 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reinterpretation of ChonJu Palkyong for Improvement of Landscape Identity)

  • This thesis is to newly understand the value and the meaning of Chonju Palkyong(全州八景) by the specific gravity in making a counter-proposal in other to improve the landscape identity of modern city and at the same time. I intended to group the grafting device for the preservation and regeneration of modern history cultural environment through the interpretation of landscape construction. The meaning system of Chonju Palkyong showed the symbolic system which a landscape construction, four directions and two places has and exhibited the landscape shape possessing a luxuriant local feature peculiar to Chonju, preserving visual bound language of a classical Palkyong. Especially, it implies the use of the substantial landscape experienced factor, the expressions about natural phenomena and the matter which has melted human living circumstances. The landscape construction and it's form show the system which forms the different time field, a far landscape and a mid distance landscape and a near landscape, etc., under the visual, psychological, scenic influenced area, preserving the feature of the similar and typical type of Sosang Palkyoung(瀟湘八景) which intended to seek the local reappearance of the famous site experienced type and natural matter which famous place and local conduct were combined. The object space of Chonju Palkyong area representing the nature of historical landscape cultural assets, pushed by the greater part of the development based theory, shows injured aspects, but needs to play a part to seek such a up-to-date successive plan as the reconstruction of the destroyed historical landscape area which motivated Palkyong, the establishment of useful area, the embodiment of the cultural identity of Palkyong area and the becoming of the educational cultural life space. The analysis of the landscape construction of Chonju Palkyong and the grouping of the modern successive plan which I considered in this thesis, will be able to become a fundamental data to carry out the preservation of historical landscape and the landscape plan in the city.

전주시 하천의 중금속과 음이온에 대한 수질현황 및 오염원 (The State and Sources of Contamination with Heavy Metals and Anion in Stream Within Chonju City)

  • 전주시내에는 전주천과 삼천천이 흐르고 있으며 그 주변에는 여러 오염원이 분포하고 있다. 삼천천은 고사평 쓰레기 매립장에서 전주천과 합류하고 전주천은 최종적으로 만경강에 합류된다. 본 연구에서는 중금속과 음이온에 대한 전주천과 삼천천의 오염현황과 오염원 그리고 이들 하천이 만경강 수질에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 전주천과 삼천천에 대한 연구를 위한 시료채취지점을 선정하기 위하여 하천 구간을 오염정도가 다를 것으로 예상되는 여러 구간으로 나누고 각 구간에서 난수표를 이용하여 대표적인 시료를 채취하는 층화랜덤추출 방법을 이용하였다. 연구결과 시료 채취 당시 전주천과 삼천천은 중금속이나 음이온에 대해서 전반적으로 음용수 기준치 이상으로 오염되지는 않았다. 그러나 중금속과 음이온은 현재 하천으로 계속 공급되고 있으며 가뭄 동안에는 하천을 오염시킬 가능성이 있다. 본 연구에서 두 쓰레기 매립장은 Fe, Mn, Al, Zn, Cl ̄, SO$_4$$^{2-}$ , NO$^2$-N, NH$_3$-N, 그리고 미처리된 하수는 Al, Zn, Mn, Cl ̄, SO$_4$$^{2-}$ , NH$_3$-N, PO$_4$$^{3-}$ 의 오염원인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전주천은 Fe, Mn, $Cl^{-}$, $SO_{4}^{2-}S$ 성분에 대한 만경강 오염에 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다.

우리나라 중소도시 비오톱 공간의 조성방안 (The Potential Assessment and Creation Programming of Biotopes in Small and Medium City in Korea)

  • This study suggests the methods of the assessment and creation of biotopes in small and medium sized cities, in Korea. For this purpose, Chonju city was selected to classify and asses the biotope types. Moreover, relevant legislations to conserve and enhance urban biotopes were examined. The results of this study are as follows: 1) There were two approaches to asses the potential of urban biotopes in medium-sized cities. One was the urban scale evaluation for urban green spaces and the other was the biotope scale evaluation for the classification and evaluation of biotopes. 2) The urban scale evaluation was developed through overlaping analysis of landuse and vegetation factors. This study also included the conception of watershed. In this conception, three watersheds in Chonju city were characterized. According to these characteristics, individual programs for conservation and enhancement of urban green space were suggested. 3) For the biotope scale evaluation, Selected site was inclusively mapped and field investigation actually was carried. There were total 9 types of bitopes. Especially landuse was appeared in various evaluation items were vegetation structure, area of green space, condition of vegetation and vegetation profile. Mt, Gonji and Dukjin park, Chonbuk national University and fields were evaluated highly I the potential. 4) The biotope programs were based on the results of assessment and physical characteristics of biotopes. The uniform and simple levels on vegetation must be modified with various levels of vegetation structure and vernacular plants. And the physical characteristics like Points, Corridors and Patches can be organized by the conception of biotope networking theory. 5) The proper legislative environment was the clue elements for the biotope programs. Until now, only five types of parks and two types of green space are defined and the minimum size of green space has been proposed by the law. So, it is necessary to enlarge the conception of green space in legislation and improve the quality of green space by amending the related regulations. This study has limitation because it was selected only in Chonju. Through the continuous studies, we need to apply this other small and medium sized cities, South Korea. Also the data collection and management of theme maps such as actual vegetation, landuse and a soil must be done preliminary.

전주시 하천의 BOD, COD,총질소, 총인에 대한 수질현황 및 오염원 (The State and Sources of Contamination with BOD, COD, T-N and T-P in Stream Within Chonju City)

  • 전주시내에는 전주천과 삼천천이 흐르고 있으며 그 주변에는 여러 오염원이 분포하고 있다. 삼천천은 고사평 쓰레기 매립장에서 전주천과 합류하고 전주천은 최종적으로 만경강에 합류된댜. 전주천과 삼천천은 BOD, COD, 총질소, 총인에 대해서 오염되어 있으녀 전반적으로 상류에서 하류로 가면서 오염정도가 증가하는 경향을 보여준다. 전주천 하류에서 COD, 총질소, 총인 양은 호소기준 5급수 상한값의 수배에 해당된다. 이는 전주식 하수가 BOD, COD, 총질소, 총인의 주 오염원임을 지시한다. 고사평쓰레기 매립장은 BOD와 COD의 오염원일 가능성이 높다, 촟ㅇ질소는 상류부터 상댱히 오염되어 있기 때문에 농업활동에 의한 오염 영햐도 큰 것으로 생각된다. 전주천은 만경강의 BOD, COD, 총질소, 총인 오염에 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다. 전주천 외에도 전주 하류의 만경강 지류들은 BOD,COD, 총질소, 총인에 의해 만경가응ㄹ 오염시키고 있으며 특히 익산천은 주 오염원이다. 199년 8월의 오염부하량을 실제 유량과 수질 분석치를 이용해 계산해 본 결과 전주천 유입 이전의 만경강인 고산천으로부터 유입되는BOD(0.49 ton/day), COD(0.86 ton/day), 총질소(1.61 ton/day), 총인(0.01 ton/day)에 비해 전주천을 통하여 유입되는 BOD, COD, 총질소, 총인이 각각 약 5배, 7배, 7배, 36배 가량 높았으며 익산천을 통하여 유입되는 BOD, COD,총질소, 총인이 각각 약 5배, 7배, 7배, 36배 가량 높았으며 익산천을 통하여 유입되는 BOD, COD, 총질소, 총인은 각각 약 13배, 10배, 10배, 147배 가량 높았다.

상수도 지하시설물의 효율적 관리를 위한 응용시스템 개발 -전주시를 대상으로- (Development of an Application System for Efficient Management of Underground Water Supply Facility - Pilot Study in Chonju City -)

  • 상수, 하수, 전기 그리고 가스 등의 시설물들은 우리 생활에 필요한 도시기반시설로서 대부분 지하에 매설되어 있어 지상시설물에 비해 효율적인 관리가 어렵다. 지하시설물 관리소홀로 발생하는 도시재난을 방지하고 도로굴착 중복공사에 따른 예산낭비와 교통체증을 감소시키기 위해서는 지하시설물에 대한 조사 탐사 및 데이터베이스 구축과 함께 지하시설물 데이터를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 응용시스템 개발이 요구된다. 전주시는 국가지리정보체계 사업의 일환으로 1998년 12월부터 상수도 지하시설물 전산화 사업을 실시하여 시가화 구역 39.6$km^2$내 80 mm 이상의 상수관 물량 402.89 km 대한 조사/탐사 작업을 수행하였다. 또한 80mm 이하 537 km관에 대해서는 별도의 조사/탐사작업을 수행하지 않고 급수카드를 기초로 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 또한 기존의 각 부서별 업무프로세스를 GIS 시스템을 활용할 수 있는 체계로 수정하였고 업무프로세스를 기반으로 상수도 지하시설물 관리시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 상수도 지하시설물 관리시스템은 기본도관리, 상수도검수, 관로관리 및 관로조회, 공사관리, 운영관리 그리고 도면관리등의 하위시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 지하시설물 조사/탐사 과정 및 방법 그리고 조사/탐사 과정중 발생한 문제점을 도출하고 개발한 상수도 지하시설물 관리시스템을 구성하고 있는 각각의 서브시스템들의 기능들을 제시하였다.
