Analysis of Product-Service Integration Effect using Choice-based Conjoint Analysis (선택형 컨조인트 분석(Choice-based Conjoint Analysis)을 통한 제품-서비스 통합 효과 분석)

  • PSS (Product-Service System) is a competitive strategy for a service company or a servitized manufacturer. We investigate the product-service integration effect in a mobile phone service industry. Using choice-based conjoint analysis, we measure main and interaction effects of product and service. We collected a sample of size 171 from a college student group in Seoul, Korea. We find the existence of the interaction effect of product and service in PSS and show the direction of PSS strategy using main and interaction effect.

Store Attributes, Personal Characteristics and Situations on Store Choice: Independent Fashion Specialty Stores versus Franchised Chain Stores (점포선택에 따른 점포속성, 개인적 특성 및 상황: 패션보세점과 브랜드의 비교)

  • This study examined the relationships of store preference with perceived store attributes and consumers' individual characteristics and the impacts of shopping situations on actual store choice. Data were obtained from an on-site questionnaire survey to a convenience sample of young consumers. A total of 456 responses was analyzed. Based on store preference and store choice, respondents were divided into four preference(or choice) groups of: Independent fashion specialty store; Independent general fashion store; Department store and Brand-franchised store. MANOVA, ANOVA and $\chi$$^2$ analyses revealed that there were significant differences among 4 store preference groups on 3 store attribute factors(price, promotion, and merchandise & displays), fashion involvement, perceived financial risk and 5 demographic characteristics(age, gender, marital status, education and spending). Also, there were significant differences among 4 store choice groups on 3 shopping situations the respondents had experienced. Based on the results, the study provided a profile of each store preference group and marketing implications.

A Logit Analysis of Urban Workers' Auto Owenership Choice (직장인의 승용차 소유여부 선택행태에 관한 연구)

  • The main objective of this research is the development of a logit model of urban workers' auto ownership choice. For the utility specification. a variety of behavioral hypotheses about the factors which affect the urban workers' auto ownership choice are considered. Based on the behavioral hypotheses, a binary logit model of auto ownership is estimated. Empirical estimation is based on a sample of workers taken in Daegu City(1994). The binary logit model of auto ownership development in this paper provides reasonable results in terms of behavioral and statistical considerations. Furthermore, this paper develops several submarket models of auto ownership choice. Market segmentation was made using age, sex, income, home-to-work time distance. It is found that the estimated results with market segmentation are also reasonable. Finally future directions of model development are suggested.

Determinacy on a Maximum Resolution in Wavelet Series

  • Recently, an approximation of a wavelet series has been developed in the analyses of an unknown function. Most of articles have been studied on thresholding and shrinkage methods for its wavelet coefficients based on (non)parametric and Bayesian methods when the sample size is considered as a maximum resolution in wavelet series. In this paper, regardless of the sample size, we are focusing only on the choice of a maximum resolution in wavelet series. We propose a Bayesian approach to the choice of a maximum resolution based on the linear combination of the wavelet basis functions.

  • 지난 20여년간 화물수송 분야에는 큰 변화가 있었다. 수송 공급 측면에서는 보다 다양하고 기술적으로 앞선 수송수단들이 등장했으며, 수송 수요 측면에서는 로지스틱스 개념의 도입으로 화주들의 보다 높은 수송 서비스가 요구 되었다. 수송수단의 수송 분담에 있어서도 특히 철도에서 공로로의 두드러진 화물이동 현상이 나타났다. 이러한 변화는 수송 현안 해결에 대한 관심을 높이고 화물수송수요 예측기법의 이론적, 개념적인 발달을 가져왔다. 그 중 두드러진 발달은 화주의 행태를 반영하는 행태모형의 개발과 새로운 자료수집 방법 및 자료형태이다. 전통적으로 화물수송 및 교통 연구에 널리 사용된 행태모형은 확률표본을 사용하여 왔으나, 80년대 부터 비확률 표본 사용에 관심이 높아졌다. 그 대표적인 것으로 기반근거 데이터를 들 수 있다. 이 데이터는 제한된 정보를 제공한다는 자료자체의 한계를 지니고 있으나, 자료수집이 용이하고 비용이 저렴하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 화물수송 분야에서 선택기반 데이터를 이용한 연구는 현재까지 두 편이 발표 되어 있다. 따라서 볼 연구는 선택기반 데이터를 이용한 개별선택모형의 잠재력을 검증하는 것을 그 목적으로 하고, 네 종류의 제조품 그룹을 대상으로 기반근거 데이터를 수집하여 로짓모형을 추정하였으며, 추정결과를 이전 연구들의 결과와 비교하여 그 타당성을 검토 하였다. 추정된 결과는 통계적으로 유의하며 직관적으로 타당한 것으로 나타난다. 또한 그 결과는 문헌의 결과와도 일치하였다. 수송계획에 있어서 자료수집비용 절감의 필요성을 생각할 때 이것은 중요한 의미를 지닌다.

A Study on Choice Behavior of Theme Park Visitors - Application of Nested Logit Model - (주제공원 이용자들의 선택행동 추정에 관한 연구 -Nested Logit Model의 적용)

  • This study was carried out to identify users' choice behavior of theme parks. overland. Lotte World, Seoul Land, Dreamland and Children's Grand Park were selected as study areas. Both multinomial logic model(MNL), nested logic model(NMNL) and joint logit model wet$.$e test using a choice-based sample collected on study areas. Hausman-McFadden test showed that the MNL is not appropriate because the IIA assumption is violated. To avoid the problematic IIA assumption, the NMNL was tested. It splits similar alternatives into groups and nests separate decisions into hierarchical order to avoid the IIA assumption. Cluster analysis and discriminant analysis were conducted to find applicable nest structures. The inclusive value coefficient was 0.7788. It meant that sufficient condition of this model is met and users' choice behavior can be better understood by NMNL than MNL. The $\rho$2 value and accuracy of prediction of this model were 0.402 and 46.33% , respectively. Several comments were suggested to make the NMNL to be more reliable for future research on users' choice behavior of theme park.

The Effect of Sports Club Membership Lifestyle on Choice Behavior

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of sports center members' lifestyles on participation promotion and choice behavior. To this end, more specifically, we intend to establish and clarify a hypothetical model based on the preceding studies of facilitating factors and factors that continue to participate according to the lifestyle of sports center members. In order to achieve this research purpose, the study subjects were set as the population of male and female adults over 20 who are using sports centers in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do in 2021. As for the sampling method, the sample was extracted using cluster random sampling, and 300 people were used for the actual analysis, excluding 60 copies of double-entry and insincere or unreliable questionnaires. The survey tool was modified and supplemented according to this study based on the questionnaire that had been verified for reliability and validity in previous studies, and all questionnaire items were composed of a 5-point scale. The statistical analysis used for data analysis was frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Windows 21.0 Version. The conclusions obtained in this study through data analysis by such methods and procedures are as follows. First, according to the lifestyle of sports center members, participation promotion factors were found to have a partial influence. Second, according to the lifestyle of sports center members, the selection behavior was found to have a partial influence. Third, it was found that the participation promotion factors of sports center members partially affected the choice behavior.

Identification on the Differentiating Characteristics of Determinant Factors on Commuting Mode Choice for the Single-Person Household Compared to the Multi-Person Household (다인 가구와의 비교를 통한 1인 가구의 통근수단 선택 결정요인의 차별적 특성의 파악)

  • The aim of this study is to empirically identify the differentiating characteristics of determinant factors on sing-person households' commuting mode choice compared to multi-person households' one in order to establish the customized police directions to decrease private car use in commuting. While the study use the 2% sample survey data on the population and housing in 2015, it employ multinomial logit models on relative choice probability of such alternative commuting modes as bus, subway or rail, and walking, rather than driving. As potential determinant factors, the study employs demographic, socio-economic, and housing and residential one for both models of single-person and multi-person households. The study finds that the behavior of commuting mode choice has distinctive difference by gender, marriage status, physical activity constraint, job type, residential period in current housing of the single-person household's workers compared to the multi-person households' ones. Based on the findings, the study deduce ten commuting policy directions customized for the single-person household.

Experimental Optimal Choice Of Initial Candidate Inliers Of The Feature Pairs With Well-Ordering Property For The Sample Consensus Method In The Stitching Of Drone-based Aerial Images

  • There are several types of image registration in the sense of stitching separated images that overlap each other. One of these is feature-based registration by a common feature descriptor. In this study, we generate a mosaic of images using feature-based registration for drone aerial images. As a feature descriptor, we apply the scale-invariant feature transform descriptor. In order to investigate the authenticity of the feature points and to have the mapping function, we employ the sample consensus method; we consider the sensed image's inherent characteristic such as the geometric congruence between the feature points of the images to propose a novel hypothesis estimation of the mapping function of the stitching via some optimally chosen initial candidate inliers in the sample consensus method. Based on the experimental results, we show the efficiency of the proposed method compared with benchmark methodologies of random sampling consensus method (RANSAC); the well-ordering property defined in the context and the extensive stitching examples have supported the utility. Moreover, the sample consensus scheme proposed in this study is uncomplicated and robust, and some fatal miss stitching by RANSAC is remarkably reduced in the measure of the pixel difference.
