  • China's intangible cultural heritage at the national level amounts to more than 1,500 species, and it is also the country with the largest number of items on UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list, so the intangible cultural heritage of the country and mankind is very much treasured and cared for. However, with the development of the times, many intangible cultural heritages are facing a dilemma due to the problem of a single form of communication. However, at the same time, the efficient and convenient way of information visualization provides innovative ideas and new opportunities for the visual communication of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. This paper examines the formal characteristics of infographic visual expression on the theoretical basis of books and related papers and analyzes the application cases and advantages of infographics in the communication of Chinese intangible cultural heritage in the context of the present era. It aims to explore a fast and novel visual presentation method for the communication of Chinese intangible cultural heritage through infographic design methods, to promote the inheritance and development of Chinese intangible cultural heritage in the new era.

  • Objectives : To understand the strength and weakness of traditional warm needle acupuncture based on existing research outcomes in Korea mostly and to suggest how to build the desirable warm needle acupuncture apparatus by overcoming demerits of traditional and currently existing ones. Methods : We searched warm needle relating papers in Korean with the key words of '온침, 화침, 열자극' by using DBpia, Journal of Korean Oriental Medical Society, Journal of Korean Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society and Journal of Society for Meridian and Acupoint. Degree dissertations in Korean were also searched with the same words through the search engine of Library of Kyung Hee University. We also searched with words of 'warm, thermal, heat, needle, acupuncture, temperature' via Pubmed and found a small number of English written papers and large number of Chinese written ones. To find english translated version of those papers, we googled with the same words with no success. Results : About 20 papers on warm needle acupuncture written in Korean were found and analyzed with respect to experimental factors that affected the thermal properties or the amount of heat stimulus of the acupuncture. More rigorous descriptions seemed to be required on the insertion depth, duration and manipulation of warm needle treatment. A basic heat transfer model was presented for the clarification of heat loss through the needle of warm needle acupuncture. Environmental factors such as air flow on the properties seems to be considered for the warm needle acupuncture. Conclusions : Papers on warm needle acupuncture were reviewed and analyzed based on their thermal properties and tools such as needles and moxa cones. Several suggestions were made on the descriptions relating the properties. Necessary specifications were introduced to aim modernized warm needle systems.

Results and Conclusions These papers show that many different factors were related with postpartum weight retention. This study suggests that moderate weight gain during pregnancy is important to prevent postpartum obesity. Adequate caloric restriction and exercise are needed to prevent from postpartum weight retention. In addition, husbands, some relatives and friends are primary sources for postpartum female to lose and keep up weight. The effect of weight loss associated with lactation significantly differs from paper to paper. There are not many treatments for postpartum weight retention. So, more effective treatments using Korean traditional medicine must be improved even from now on. This study can offer many ideas to treat postpartum weight retention.

  • Objectives : To establish objective and scientific evidence of Korean medicine (KM), the papers on Oryeong-san (Wuling-san) frequently used in medical institutions of Korean Medicine were analyzed. Methods : The papers were classified by the registration of domestic or international journals, the year of publication, experimental fields and the kinds of studies on biological activities. The therapeutic mechanism was investigated in accordance with therapeutic effect of Oryeong-san (Wuling-san). Results : Out of 57 articles selected, 16 were published in domestic journals, 17 were in Chinese journals and 24 were in Japanese journals. Most papers reported as biological activities were on improvement of renal function. Oryeong-san (Wuling-san) increased urine factor such as urine excretion and electrolyte balance while decreasing proteinuria, serum factors including creatinine, cholesterol and triglyceride. In addition, injured renal tissue was recovered normally and gene expression controlling urine excretion was down-regulated. Conclusions : Improvement of renal function could be interpreted as objective and scientific evidence for Oryeong-san (Wuling-san).

  • Objectives Because of growing interest in personalized medicine, constitutional medicine also becomes more important. Constitutional medicine has already developed in many countries. In this study, we tried to investigate five type personality (Wutairen), a kind of Chinese constitutional medicine. Methods We did a research on five type personality using CNKI (http://www.cnki.net) up to Jan 15, 2018. Total 204 papers were searched with the keyword "Wutairen". We excluded 170 papers away from the subject or clinically studied. As a result, 34 papers were selected and analyzed. Results and Conclusions Five type personality (Wutairen) originated from Huangdi Neijing-Lingshu. There are 5 types: greater Yin person (Taiyin), lesser Yin person (Shaoyin), greater Yang person (Taiyang), lesser Yang person (Shaoyang) and Yin-yang balanced person. These are classified according to Yin-Yang content. Each type has different characteristic, treatment and prevention. Five type personality theory considers internal factors more important than external factors. Also, it considers the balance of Yin-Yang important.

  • Objectives: To investigate the scientific evidence of Korean Medicine (KM), papers on Socheongryong-tang (Xiaoqinglong-tang), which is frequently used in medical clinics or hospitals of Korean medicine, were collected and analyzed. Methods: Papers were classified by the registration of domestic or international journals, the year of publication, experimental models and the subjects of biological activities. The mechanisms of biological activity in accordance with therapeutic effects of Socheongryong-tang (Xiaoqinglong-tang) were noted. Results: Among 98 papers included, 21 were published in domestic journals whereas 35 were in Chinese journals and 43 in Japanese journals. Most reported biological activities were amelioration of asthma. Socheongryong-tang (Xiaoqinglong-tang) regulated interleukin and interferon and immunoglobulin, inhibited the production of nerve growth factor, endotheliln-1, nitric oxide, toll-like receptor-4, p-Akt and increased extracellular signal regulated kinase and cyclin D1, which led to decreased bronchi inflammation and bronchoconstriction, and inhibited the proliferation of airway smooth muscle cells, mucus secretion and airway hyperresponsiveness. In addition, Socheongryong-tang (Xiaoqinglong-tang) also restored tissues injured by asthma so that respiratory function recovered. Conclusions: Amelioration of asthma by Socheongryong-tang (Xiaoqinglong-tang) is supported by objective and scientific evidence.

  • This research aims to analyze the trend of subhealth and meebyung(未病) research as a method of network analysis from 2007 to 2011 in China. A total of 3,933 papers were involved in analysis from 5,465 searched papers, which title have '未病', '亞健康' in CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). It is carried out that counts annual paper number, authors' publicized papers, and journals paper number related to subhealth. Network analysis was performed to reveal collaboration research trend and relations between Authors, Affiliations, and Regions. As a result, Number of related studies have increased for the last 5 years. East and south regions of China, which include Beijing, Guangxi, and Zhejiang have participated most in their studies, and also as collaborated researches. As affiliations, Researches done by College of Traditional Chinese medicine and their hospital's collaborations are most counted. Because of distance limit, many colleges or institutes seem to make contacts with nearby affiliations. This study is the first attempt to perform network analysis on subhealth research trend in CNKI. This study would contribute to related studies in case of network analysis method.
