Study on Legal Issues of Facility Management of Children's Swimming Pool

  • Purpose: Children's swimming pools are picking up faster than the other types of swimming pool. Yet, safety law-related studies are still lack. This study is to review legal status of children's swimming pool in Korea and to discuss the related legal issues for safety management of children's swimming pool. Research design, data, and methodology: The study reviewed law and clauses for sport facility management and related legal clauses with chilren's swimming pool management, and sport facility-related articles. Results: Safety management of children's swimming pool should currently follow law for sport and physical education facility management because of no its own legal norm for children's swimming pool. Given this, specific law and clauses for children's pool management need to be legislated to prevent risks for children and to satisfy specific safety factors considering careless behavior of children. Conclusions: Regarding this, the study points out five suggestions. First, law should be established to make notification of safety rules mandatory and this notification should be placed in the pool. This notification would be better effective if it is visualized. Second, according to law, safety 7 rules of children' s swimming pool need to be legistrated and educated for pool managers to obey them. Pool managers could also add their own rules to the 7 rules. Finally, preparation of emergency kits and safety devices need to be mandatory in the pool. Further implications were discussed.

Status Analysis of Children's Swimming Pool in Korea

  • Purpose: This study sought to explore current status of children's swimming pool in Korea and to generate insights regarding safety management of children's swimming pool. Research design, data, and methodology: The study reviewed literatures including documents of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and sport facility-related articles. Furthermore, the study collected additional statistics via search engines. Results: First, numbers of swimming pools have been dramatically increased since 2016 and Korea experienced an increase of 37% from 2010 to 2019. Of the 611 indoor swimming pools, most swimming pools are located in Gyeonggi province with 27.7% (n=169). Seoul and Gyeonggi-do have the highest proportion of swimming pools in Korea. Second, in types of swimming pools, 47.6%(n=291) was children's swimming pool which is the highest proportion in the nation. Children's swimming pools are also mostly located in Seoul and Gyeonggi province with 57%. Third, of 372 profit swimming pools, children's pools show the highest number with 78%(n=291). Conclusions: Children's swimming pools are picking up faster than the other types of swimming pool. Yet, safety-related studies are still lack. This provides motivations to produce managerial insights from academia and business sectors. Moreover, more studies of legal issues should be conducted. Implications were discussed.

어린이수영장의 서비스품질과 만족 및 고객충성도 관계 (The Relationship among Service quality, Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty of Children's Pool)

  • 본 연구는 어린이수영장의 서비스품질과 만족 및 고객충성도 관계를 알아보자 한다. 모집단은 총 300명을 표본대상으로 설문지를 배포하였으며, 회수된 설문지 중 불성실하게 응답했다고 판단된 3부의 설문지는 제외하여 총 297부의 설문지를 자료 분석에 사용하였다. 이 연구에서는 PASW 21.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도 분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석, 단순회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구에서는 모든 통계치의 유의수준을 .05로 설정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출 하였다. 첫째, 어린이수영장 서비스품질의 시설, 프로그램, 비용, 인적자원, 신뢰는 만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이수영장 서비스품질의 비용, 인적아원, 신뢰는 고객충성도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어린이수영장 서비스품질에 대한 만족은 고객충성도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

융복합 시대 어린이 전용 수영장의 서비스 품질과 만족의 관계에서 관여도가 갖는 매개효과 연구 (The Study on Mediating Effects Validation of Involvement between Service Quality and Satisfaction in Children's Pool in Convergence era)

  • 본 연구는 융복합 시대 어린이 전용 수영장의 서비스품질과 만족의 관계에서 관여도의 매개효과를 검증하고자 서울 및 경기지역 어린이 전용 수영장 학부모 450명을 설문조사 하였으며, 그 중 430부의 자료를 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 7.0 프로그램을 이용하여 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 도출된 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이 전용 수영장 서비스품질 장소요인, 가격요인, 프로그램요인, 시설요인, 지도자요인 중 시설요인이 관여도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이 전용 수영장 서비스품질 요인 중 프로그램요인과 시설요인이 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어린이 전용 수영장 관여도는 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 서비스품질 시설요인의 만족에 대한 영향에서 관여도의 매개효과가 검증되었다.

아동실의 벽에 사용되는 모티브에 관한 연구 (The relationships between sex and age of children and the characteristics of wall motifs)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships of children's sex and age to the characteristics of wall motifs. A pilot study was conducted to pool motifs which can be used on the walls of children's rooms. 69 motifs were found and classified into 12 categories. The data consisted of the responses to a structured questionnaire to determine preference and actual use of motifs. The subjects were middle school children from middle income classes living in Seoul, Data were analysed by computer using frequency, percentage, χ\sup 2\, and C\sup 2\. Children's sex and age differences were somewhat distinctively found in preferred motifs.

  • Teaching swimming to the disability children's has been an accepted adjunct to other therapeutic and rehabilitative modalities for several decades. Much has been written on this subject during ths past 30 years both in the United States and in England. The purpose of this article is First, to describe the basic on swimming program equipment and principles of treatment. Second, an swimming program designied specially for use with disability children's. The foregoing designied swimming program as a recreational and therapeutic activity has tremendous potential for maintaining or improving the psychological and physical well being of the disability children's. A swimming or pool therapy program which is under the supervision of a therapist with a keen understanding of the nature and complexity of disability children's.

유아의 정보처리양식과 연령이 공간좌표인식능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Age and Information Processing Style on Abilities of Young Children to Understand Spatial Coordinates)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of young children's age and information processing style in understanding spatial coordinates. For sampling the subjects of this study, Korean version K-ABC Intelligence Test(Moon, Soo-Back, 1997)was conducted with 165 children aged 5-6 who were attending I and G kindergarten in D city. From this pool 30 children who possessed sequential processing style and 30 children who possessed simultaneous processing style were sampled. In order to analyze the understanding of spatial coordinates, a test tool was formulated according to methodology of Blades & Spencer(1989) which was modified. Acquired data was subjected to descriptive and comparative statistical analysis. The following conclusions were arrived at: Firstly, there was significant difference between 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds in understanding spatial coordinates. The 6-year-old group got statistically higher grades than the 5-year-old group in locating a point on the coordinate plane and reading the coordinate numbers. Secondly, there was significant difference between children's information processing style in understanding spatial coordinate. Children with high simultaneous-low sequential processing showed higher performance in locating a point on the coordinate plane and reading coordinate numbers than children with high sequential-low simultaneous processing. Thirdly, after verifying statistical significance of interactivity between young children's age and children's processing strength, there was significant interactive effects in both tasks.

아동의 공감발달 및 관련변인 (A Study on Empathic Development in Korean Children)

  • Empathy was defined in this study as the vicarious affective response of a person to the perceived experience of another. The purpose of this study was to study the relationship between empathic development of children and intimacy with parents, socio-economic status, and children's empathic response to specific affective situations happy, sad, angry and fearful. The subjects for this study were 8-, 10-, and 12-year-old children attending an elementary school located in Seoul. Among the subjects, 158 boys and 149 girls lived with their parents, and 20 boys and 35 girls were reared in orphanges. They were from a residential area with higher, middle, and lower class families. The instruments consisted of two modified empathy measures and two questionnaires developed by the researcher. One of the empathy measures was based on Feshbach & Roe's affective situation test for empathy. In order to determine the eight themes, 20 children were interviewed individually about situations that made them "happy, sad, angry, and afraid". From the pool of responses, eight themes representing happy, sad, angry and fearful situations were selected. Each story consisted of a series of three pictures accompanying narration. Another modified empathy measure was developed by the researcher based upon Bryant's empathy scale. This measure consisted of 17 statements describing happy, sad, angry and fearful situations. The items in this scale were selected from a pilot study. The two questionnaires developed by the researcher were to test children's intimacy for their parents and feminity. The data was analyzed with T-test and F-test. Children's intimacy with their parents, particularly, son's intimacy with their mothers, was a significant variable in empathic development. Children living with their parents had higher scores on Feshbach & Roe's Empathy Test than those brought up in orphanages. In general, the older the children the higher the empathy score. Girls were more empathic than boys on Bryant's scale. The subjects showed their highest empathy score in the sad, and the lowest in the fearful situation. The older the children the higher the empathy score in the sad and angry situations. These results reflected children's life experiences and cultural differences. Particularly, mother-son intimacy found in this study contrasts with the mother-daughter intimacy found in American studies.

어머니의 5요인 성격특성과 놀이성이 양육행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of a Mother's Big Five Personality Factors and Playfulness on Maternal Parenting Behavior)

  • The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a mother's big five personality factors and playfulness on maternal parenting behavior. The participants consisted of 270 mothers with young children, aged 3-6 years old. The subjects completed questionnaires on IPIP(International Personality Item Pool), PAS(Playfulness Scale for Adults) and Parenting Behavior. The results were as follows. First, regarding the relationships of the mother'personality and parenting behavior, higher levels of neuroticism(N) in the mothers resulted in lower levels of warmth acceptance(W A) in parenting behavior. Higher levels of extroversion(E), openness(O), agreeableness(A), and conscientiousness(C) resulted in higher levels of W A. In terms of the relationships of the mother's playfulness and parenting behavior, higher levels of playfulness resulted in higher levels of W A. and lower levels of permissiveness nonintervention(P N) and rejection restriction(R R). Second, N, E, C, and a maternal sense of humor had an effect in W A. C was found to have an effect in P N and N was observed to have an effect in R R.

초등학교 영재들을 위한 학교교육과정 개발 모형 탐색 (An Exploration of the Development of School-based Curriculum Model for the Gifted in Elementary School)

  • 1992년 제6차 교육과정에서부터 도입된 초등학교 학교교육과정개발 정책은 단위 학교에서 영재들을 위한 교육과정을 개발하여 교육할 것을 주문하고 있다. 연구자는 그 활동을 돕기 위해 초등학교 영재들을 위한 학교교육과정 개발 모형을 구안하여 제시하였다. 본 모형은 VanTassel-Baska의 통합적 교육과정 모델(ICM: Integrated Curriculum Model)을 초등교육의 정체성에 비추어 재구성한 것으로서, ICM의 하위모델인 내용 모델, 과정 산출 모델, 인식론적 모델을 초등학교 $1{\sim}6$학년 아동들의 발달단계에 적절하게 그 적용 비중을 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하고 있다. 본 모형은 초등학교 영재 탤런트 풀을 대상으로 한 교육과정 개발의 일반 모형인 동시에, 영재 개개인의 특성과 요구에 따라서도 그 적용 비중이 달라질 수 있는 개인 모델로서도 기능할 수 있을 것이다.
