  • Yuri Vasilyev - actor, director and drama teacher. Russian meritorious artist, winner of the stage "Medal of Friendship" awarded by Russian President Vladimir Putin; academician of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts in Russia, professor of the Russian National Academy of Performing Arts, and professor of the Bavarian Academy of Drama in Munich, Germany. The physiological sense stimulation method based on the improvement of voice, language and motor function of drama actors. On the basis of a systematic understanding of performing arts, Yuri Vasiliev created a unique training method of speech expression and skills. From the complicated art training, we find out the most critical skills for focused training, which we call basic skills training. Throughout the whole training process, Professor Yuri made a clear request for the actor's lines: "action! This is the basis of actors' creation. So action is the key! Action and voice are closely linked. Actor's voice is human voice, human life, human feeling, human experience and disaster. It is also the foundation of creation that actors acquire their own voice. What we are engaged in is pronunciation, breathing, tone and intonation, speed and rhythm, expressiveness, sincerity, stage voice and movement, gesture, all of which are used to train the voice of actors according to the standard of drama. In short, Professor Yuri's training course is not only the training of stage performance and skills, but also contains a rich view of drama and performance. I think, in addition to learning from the means and methods of training, it is more important for us to understand the starting point and training objectives of Professor Yuri's use of these exercises.

  • The recent interest in regions represents a rise of the new regionalism. Three competing theories provide the frameworks of explaining the ascendance of regions as the meaningful vessel of territorial economic and political processes. They are the orthodox new regionalism, the new politics of scale, and the relational topology of networked actors. Referring to these theories, this paper assesses the establishment of cross-provincial Area-wide Economic Regions (AERs) in Korea. The findings indicate that AERs represent a radical shift to a new regionalism. However, it is misconceived to see their ascendance as the orthodox new regionalism, as they marginally fit the hollowing-out of the state thesis. Nor they show distinct features to which the politically-inflicted regionalism is attributed. In consequence, AERs represent the emergence of a new regionalism that is consequent of the unique politico-economic context of Korea, say, a most centralized state-society combined with the neoliberalizing policy process emanating from the globalization pressures.

For this, pre-questionnaire was conducted to ask about their understanding of American action methods, and post-questionnaire was conducted to find effectiveness of American acting method and effect of individual method after performing simple acting training with four representative theories of American action methods According to the analysis, the actors surveyed were not familiar with the American acting method and want to systematic methods in acting training. All of the acting training through the American acting method were effective, especially Stella Adler's imagination was the most effective method. The least effective method was Sanford Meisner's repetition. The results of this study can be used as fundamental data for introduction and utilization of American acting method in domestic acting training.

  • If a drama play is interested in recreating the play text on stage, the post-drama play aims at a drama that has been liberated from the play text. In this process, the boundaries created by drama theater are dismantled. Actors and audiences, fiction and reality, theater and non-theater, works and events, language and non-language are the names of typical boundaries. The demolition of these boundaries is an opportunity to restore the festival character of ancient Greek theater, which was forgotten by drama theater. This has led to the dismantling of language-centric and play-centricism, which has dominated the play since Aristotle, and has led to a new play. If language-centered, play-centricism has brought about the crisis of drama, the post-dramatic play dismisses them and finds ways to communicate with the audience as new cultural content. The method is found above all in the restoration of dramaturgy. This is because the post-drama plays are more dependent on theatricality than literature. The demilitarized nature of post-dramatic play with enhanced theatricality will be a stepping stone to popularization, and this shows the possibility of post-dramatic play as cultural contents.

  • This paper establishes and propagates the value of the play through the study of the transition process of the yesan play from 1920 to the present, presents an alternative through the unique theatricality of the region and aims to activate it. The theater divided the theater into Yecheon, Chungnam Theater Festival, and Youth Theater Festival, which are currently active, and focused on Yedang International Performing Arts Festival, which is the only one in Yesan. The details of the performance due to the loss of data were not specified as much as possible, but the contents of the yesan play before 1990 were reviewed using the eupji and Myeonji. It also starts with a lack of diversity in plays in the developing direction of Yesan. Children's plays should be dismissed for simple commercial purposes, or the value of traditional Korean plays should be compared to Western ones, to promote the development of local plays through the natural characteristics and the basis of traditional culture, and to sustain the continuity of extreme economic performance and performances through the development of repertoires. Infrastructure deployment can be cited. The in flow of specialized actors and the use of art administrators creates a stable theater environment and activates the reeducation of local actors to promote theatrical imagination. It is also an urgent task to develop a new theatrical form by introducing experimental theatrical methods of young artists in the overseas performance business of theater troupe Yechon. Finally, Yedang International Performing Arts Festival should be characterized and differentiated from other festivals.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop contents and an instructional model that support children's dramatic play by integrating the robot and augmented reality technology. In order to support the dramatic play, the robot shows various facial expressions and actions, serves as a narrator and a sound manager, supports the simultaneous interaction by using the camera and recognizing the markers and children's motions, records children's activities as a photo and a video that can be used for further activities. The robot also uses a projector to allow children to directly interact with the video object. On the other hand, augmented reality offers a variety of character changes and props, and allows various effects of background and foreground. Also it allows natural interaction between the contents and children through the real-type interface, and provides the opportunities for the interaction between actors and audiences. Along with these, augmented reality provides an experience-based learning environment that induces a sensory immersion by allowing children to manipulate or choose the learning situation and experience the results. In addition, the instructional model supporting dramatic play consists of 4 stages(i.e., teachers' preparation, introducing and understanding a story, action plan and play, evaluation and wrapping up). At each stage, detailed activities to decide or proceed are suggested.

  • This study is a new proposal for the methods of actor training and role creation in the contemporary theater and an approach to the practical utilization of the performer, regarding the actor's 'presence' as the essence of living arts, a peculiarity of theater. As the method for this, this study sorts out Vakhangov and Mikhail Chekhov's elements of acting techniques and at the same time, allows an easier approach to the theoretical concept based on the performance records found in the developmental process. The magic realism and the technique of acting discussed in priority in this study emphasize the importance of the exploration and realization of artistic inspiration in everyday life, the actor's imagination and image, and unconsciousness as a method for creating new actors and diversifying their roles. When their common views are summed up, the goals to achieve include a study of a creative method in which outer form and inner truth are combined and the implementation of a new system for creating the individual actor's originality. This study would classify the similarities and differences found through this, reveal the limit of practical efficacy and propose it as a universal method for creating the roles, asking for the actor's voluntary training and active attitudes.
