In this paper, a battery model for electric vehicle virtual platform was developed. A battery model consisted of a battery cell model and battery thermal management system. A battery cell model was developed based on Randles equivalent circuit model. Circuit parameters in the form of 3D map data was obtained by charge-discharge experiment of Li-Polymer battery in various temperature condition. The developed battery cell model was experimentally verified by comparing voltages. Thermal management system model was also developed using heat generator, heat transfer and convection model, and cooling fan. For verification of the developed battery model in vehicle level, the integrated battery model was applied in to EV(electric vehicle) virtual platform, and virtual driving simulation using UDDS velocity profile was conducted. The accuracy of the developed battery model has been verified by comparing the simulation results from EV platform with the experimental data.

Thermally grown $SiO_2$ films on silicon have been thermally nitrided in the $NH_3$ gas ambient and their properties have been investigated by analyzing the AES data and the results of the I-V and the C-V measurements. The Auger depth profile show that the nitrogen-rich layers are formed at the nitrided oxide film surface and near the $SiO_2$-Si interface. The higher the nitridation temperature is, the larger the refractive index of nitroxide film is. And the thinner the oxide film to be nitrided for the same nitridation temperature is, the larger the refractive index of nitroxide film is. When thin $SiO_2$ film is thermally nitrided, the I-V characteristics show the Fowler-Nordheim conduction fashion. Flatband voltages of $SiO_2$ films are shifted by nitridation, due to the fixed charge formation.
Photoreduction of Methyl Orange Catalyzed by Nile Red-Adsorbed TiO$_2$/Y zeolites. Nile Red was successfully adsorbed on TiO$_2$/Y zeolites and the absorption profile is very broad with maxima, ca. 630 nm. The peak is largely red-shifted compared to that observed in hydrocarbon solvents. Furthermore, a broad and largely Stokes shifted emission band as observed around 660 nm. The largely Stokes shifted emission band should be originated from the excited state structural changes. In order to understand the photocatalytic activities of Nile Red-adsorbed TiO$_2$/Y zeolite, the photoreduction of Methyl Orange(5.0$\times$10$^{-5}$ M) was studied using visible light beyond 320 nm. Methyl Orange was effectively reduced by Nile Red-adsorbed TiO$_2$/Y zeolite, indicating the photocatalytic activity of Nile Red-adsorbed TiO$_2$ zeolites was enhanced by about eight times higher than that of TiO$_2$/Y zeolite.
This research is to restructure the public assessment of housing management in a standardized fashion, and a self-administered questionnaire survey was employed for data collection and analysis. In doing so, all the assessment tools nationwide were identified and assembled to extract the items included in the survey form. The survey form was mailed out to local officers in charge of housing management and professional housing managers in the nation, and the responses were statistically analyzed in order to structure the standard assessment tool of housing management. This research classified 3 main areas (General Maintenance, Operation and Community Living) in evaluating the housing management performance, and identified 35 essential items and 52 optional items. The 35 essential items were drawn from the 16 categories of the 3 areas (11 items of 5 categories for General Maintenance, 7 items of 4 categories for Operation, and 17 items of 7 categories for Community Living), and the rest 52 optional items were from the 16 categories of the 3 areas (24 items of 7 categories for General Maintenance, 26 items of 7 categories for Operation, and 2 items of 2 categories for Community Living). While all the items in the research are quantifiable, it's suggested that qualitative measurements be complementarily utilized in the assessment not only to explore the best practices of housing management but also to refine and modify the standardized tool in response to various environmental changes. As the public assessment of housing management is context-sensitive and critically related to local housing profile, the continuous implementation of the assessment will facilitate shifting the housing paradigm from production and consumption to management and reproduction.

The main purpose of this study is to estimate willingness to pay (WTP) by the general publics, assuming that they pay tax or charge for protecting marine living resources and environment through developing and supplying biodegradable fishing nets. This study employed a contingent valuation method (CVM) which is an econometric method. The survey was conducted by using both double-bounded dichotomous choice and open-ended survey. Tobit model was used for the analysis. The variables included concerns about marine environment and fishing net discarded, sex, age profile, number of family members, educational level and personal disposable income. Annual average WTP per family for the biodegradable fishing net development and supply was estimated at 5,294 won and national WTP amounted to some 84.2 billion won. This includes both of use and non-use value of biodegradable fishing nets.
The ferroelectric materials of the PZT, SBT attracted much attention for application to ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) devices. Through the last decade, the lead zirconate titanate (PZT) is one of the most attractive perovskite-type materials for the ferroelectric products due to its higher remanant polarization and the ability to withstand higher coercive fields. FRAM has been currently receiving increasing attention for one of future memory devices due to its ideal memory properties such as non-volatility, high charge storage, and faster switching operations. In this study, we first applied the damascene process using chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) to the fabricate the $Pb_{1.1}(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ thin film capacitor in order to solve the problems of plasma etching such as low etching profile and ion charging. The structural characteristics were compared with specimens before and after CMP process of PZT films. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis was performed to compare the morphology surface characteristics of $Pb_{1.1}(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ capacitors. The densification by the vertical sidewall patterning and charging-free ferroelectric capacitor could be obtained by the damascene process without remarkable difference of the characteristics.
In this study, the effects of counter ion valency of the electrolyte on the colloidal repulsion between two parallel cylindrical particles were investigated. Electrostatic interactions of the cylindrical particles were calculated with the variation of counter ion valency. To calculate the electrical repulsive energy working between these two cylindrical particles, Derjaguin approximation was applied. The electrostatic potential profiles were obtained numerically by solving nonlinear Poission-Boltzmann (P-B) equation and calculating middle point potential and repulsive energy working between interacting surfaces. The electrical potential and repulsive energy were influenced by counter ion valency, Debye length, and surface potential. The potential profile and middle point potential decayed with the counter ion valency due to the promoted shielding of electrical charge. On the while, the repulsive energy increased with the counter ion valency at a short separation distance. These behaviors of electrostatic interaction agreed with previous results on planar or spherical surfaces.
Small XeCl laser of charge transfer discharge excitation was fabricated and output charateristics were investigated according to gas mixture ratio. Beam cross section of 2.7cm${\times}$1.5cm was obtained by constructing excimer laser which preionization is operated automatically and which has chang profile electrode. According to the component gas mixture ratio, the condition of maximum output energy, efficiency were investigated. The maximum energy, efficiency and specific energy were obtained 230 mJ, 1.6% and 1.1 J/l, respectively. The long pulse effect is observed by constructing low peaking to main capacitance ratio of 1:3.
A one-dimensional transport of displacing monovalent ion, $A^+$, and a trivalent ion being displaced, $B^{3+}^ in a porous exchange system such as soil was approximated using the Crank-Nicolson implicit finite difference technique and the Thomas algorithm in tandem. The variations in the concentration profile were investigated by varying the ion-exchange equilibrium constant (k) of ion-exchange reactions, the influent concentrations, and the cation exchange capacity (CEC) of the exchanger, under constant flux condition of pore water and dispersion coefficient. A higher value of k resulted in a greater removal of the native ion, behind the sharper advancing front of displacing ion, while the magnitude of the penetration distance of $A^+$ was not great. As the CEC increased, the equivalent fraction of $B^{3+}^ initially in the soil was greater, thus indicating that a higher CEC adsorbed trivalent cations preferentially over monovalent ions. Mass balance error from simulation results was less than 1%, indicating this model accounted for instantaneous charge balance fairly well.

The thermal property is one of the most important characteristics in the field of energetic materials. Because energy materials release decomposition heat, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is frequently used for thermal analysis. However, thermodynamic events, such as melting can interfere with DSC kinetic analysis. In this study, we use isothermal mode for DSC measurement to avoid thermodynamic issues. We also merge accelerating rate calorimetry(ARC) data with DSC data to obtain a robust prediction results for small scale samples and for large scale samples as well. For the thermal property prediction, advanced kinetics and technology solutions(AKTS) programs are used.
