금융자산수준별 가계부채 분석 (An Analysis of Household Debt by Financial Wealth Levels)

  • This study analyzed the differences in household debt characteristics by wealth levels. The dataset used was the 2000 National Survey of Family Income and Expenditure. The major findings of this study were as follows; First, about 49% of sample owned some amounts of debt. Household in high wealth levels had lowest debt burden while households in low wealth level had highest debt burden. Second, the amounts of debt owed to financial agents were highest regardless of wealth levels. Third, all groups borrowed money for the purpose of purchasing real estate.

농업 및 수산업 정책금융의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Financial Support for Agriculture and Fisheries)

  • The pollution in the coastal sea is being aggravated because of frequent happening of red tide and oil leakage from tankers. The Exclusive Economic Zone is being drawn in the seas surrounding Korean Peninsula. Therefore, the fisheries in Korea is under a great change in their production base. On the other hand, the fisheries have been considered as a part of agriculture in policy making and financial support. The thesis compares agriculture with fisheries in the fund demands and financial supports. It tries to find a way in the efficient allocation of fund for the two industries. The fund demand of a typical fishing household is greater than that of a typical farm household. The fund used by a fishery household is more dependent on debt than that of a farm household. Therefore, the internal financing ability of a fishery household is weaker than that of a farm household. The repaying ability of a fishery household is weaker than that of a farm household because a fishery household's income is less than a farm household's. When we analyze the uses of fund, the fishing industry has some disadvantage in fund uses. The financial support for the fisheries' structural change is weaker than that for agriculture. The fishing industry has some disadvantage in the investment and subsidy rates. Also, the loan period for fisheries is shorter on average than that for agriculture. When we analyze the sources of the fund, the fisheries' banking sources are greater than the government's sources, which is relatively stable. Therefore, the fisheries will be more heavily affected by the liberalization of banking industry and system than the agriculture will. The government needs to change the shortcomings in the sources and uses of fund. First, it needs to use the fund, considering the characteristics of the industry and producers' financing ability. Second, it needs to adjust the sources of fund to the liberalization of financial system.

임차가구의 주거비용에 관한 연구 (A study on the total housing cost of households living in rental house)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the housing maintenance cost, imputed rent fee and total housing cost of households living in rental house, to analyze the factors related to their housing maintenance cost, imputed rent fee and total housing cost and to investigate the factors contributing to total housing cost to total household income ratio. The data used for these purposes, was 97 KHPS of Daewoo Economic Research Institute. Sample size of households living in rental house, was 663. Statistics performed for the analysis were frequencies, percentiles, t-test, Lorenz cutie and Gini coefficient, Tobit analysis, OLS and Logistic analysis. The results of this study were as fellows: First, monthly cost of monthly rent & maintenance and repairs of households living in rental house with a deposit was lower than rental house, while the imputed rent fee of households living rental house with a deposit was higher than monthly rent households'And, total housing cost of households living in rental house with a deposit was higher than monthly rent households'. Second, Gini coefficient of the housing maintenance cost was 0.440, Gini coefficient of imputed rent fee was 0.362, and Gini coefficient of total housing cost was 0.291. Third, the variables related to their housing maintenance cost were family type, total household expenditure of socio-demographic characteristics and residence, type of rent, housing type of housing environmental factor. Also, the variables contributing to imputed rent fee were job type and educational attainment of household hearts, the number of family members, total household expenditure, residence, type of rent, housing type and tole number of rooms. In addition, the variables associated with total housing cost were job type and educational attainment of household head, total household income and residence, type of rent, housing type and the number of room. Finally, age, job type, educational attainment of household head, wife's employment status, the number of family members, family type, total household expenditure, residence, rent type of rent, housing type, the size of living space, and the number of room were significant variables contributing to total household cost to total household income ratio.

가정생산 위성계정의 개발 및 적용: 새로운 개념 정립과 표준화된 측정방법을 중심으로 (Development of household production satellite and application based on the establishment of concept and standardized measurement for household production)

  • This research developed standardized satellite accounts for household production to measure the entire production in Korea using representative Korean data. This study utilized standardized methods for measuring the expenditure and consumption of expendable supplies as an element of intermediate goods in household production. The results of this research can be summarized as follows. First, the total value of household production in Korea in 2009 turned was 268 trillion won, which would be 10.16% of the GDP, based on using the method of replacement by specialty for estimating the value of housework, while it was 356 trillion won, which would be 13.5% of the GDP (2,636 trillion won), based on the method of opportunity cost. Second, the economic value of labor invested in household production was 220 trillion won when using the data from 12 main corresponding wages in the market, while it was 203 trillion won when using the method of total replacement, which used the wages of housekeepers, and 290 trillion won when using the method of opportunity cost in measuring the value of housework labor. Third, in estimating the proportion by section in terms of the total value of household production, the portion of labor in household production was measured from 76% to 82%, depending on the methods used, which is the most significant section. These results indicate that housework has the characteristics of labor-centered work. On the other hand, the value of expenditure on and consumption of expendable supplies, as one element of intermediate goods, is 63 trillion won, which is 17.7% (using the method of opportunity cost in measuring the labor of housework) of household production. Also, the value of capital goods, as the other element of intermediate goods is 2.3 trillion won, which is 0.9% (using the method of opportunity cost) of household production. In conclusion, as an element of household production, housework labor was higher in household production than expenditures on expendables, especially for cooking, cleaning, and caring for children. In the future, people should be cautious about estimating that the amount of household work could be reduced, as women's labor in the market and the household work produced by the market will increase.

컨텍스트 기반 1인가구-스마트 디바이스의 인터랙션 연구 (A Study on the Interaction of Single-person Household and Smart Device Based on the Context)

  • 1인가구의 급증과 스마트 디바이스 사용의 증가로 1인가구 중심의 컨텍스트 분석과 1인가구 제품에 대한 구체적인 디자인 방향성이 필요한 실정이다. 기존 연구들은 1인가구와 다인가구의 구분없이 스마트 디바이스의 전반적인 컨텍스트에 대한 분석을 진행하였다. 하지만 1인가구는 다인가구에 비해 가족 구성원수와 연령 분포, 주거 공간의 차이가 있기 때문에 스마트 디바이스에 대한 차별화된 행태를 분석해야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 실제 1인가구의 스마트 디바이스 사용 환경을 조사 범위로 한정 짓고, 기존의 포괄적인 컨텍스트의 정의를 사용자의 상황을 중심으로 한정지어 정리하였다. 그리고 구체적이고 실증적인 연구 결과를 위해 사용자 리서치를 통해 나온 Contextual Task를 통하여 Consolidated Flow Model을 구축하였다. 이는 1인가구의 물리적 공간 보장, 효율성, 라이프스타일 반영, 안전성 보장 등의 인터랙션 특징을 나타내고 있다.

금융위기 이후 예금취급기관 가계대출과 주택가격의 동태적 관계 (The Dynamic Relationship between Household Loans of Depository Institutions and Housing Prices after the Financial Crisis)

  • Purpose - This study aims in analyzing the dynamic relationship between household loans and housing prices according to the characteristics of depository institutions after the financial crisis, identifying the recent trends between them, and making policy suggestions for stabilizing house prices. Design/methodology/approach - The monthly data used in this study are household loans, household loan interest rates, and housing prices ranging from January 2012 to May 2020, and came from ECOS of the Bank of Korea and Liiv-on of Kookmin Bank. This study used vector auto-regression, generalized impulse response function, and forecast error variance decomposition with the data so as to yield analysis results. Findings - The analysis of this study no more shows that the household loan interest rates in both deposit banks and non-bank deposit institutions had statistically significant effects on housing prices. Also, unlike the previous studies, there was statistically significant bi-directional causality between housing prices and household loans in neither deposit banks nor non-bank deposit institutions. Rather, it was found that there is a unidirectional causality from housing prices to household loans in deposit banks, which is considered that housing prices have one-sided effects on household loans due to the overheated housing market after the financial crisis. Research implications or Originality - As a result, Korea's housing market is closely related to deposit banks, and housing prices are acting as more dominant information variables than interest rates or loans under the long-term low interest rate trend. Therefore, in order to stabilize housing prices, the housing supply must be continuously made so that everyone can enjoy housing services equally. In addition, the expansion and reinforcement of the social security net should be realized systematically so as to stop households from being troubled with the housing price decline.

한국과 미국 도시 월세가구의 가정 에너지 비용과 주거비 부담 (Home Energy Cost and Housing Cost Burden of Urban Monthly Renter Households in Korea and the United States)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine influence of home energy cost on housing cost burden of Korean and U.S. monthly renter households in urban areas and to explore influences of household and housing characteristics on their home energy cost burden. Microdata for this research was extracted from the 2011 Korean Household Budget Survey and 2009 American Housing Survey. Monthly renter households in urban areas were initially grouped based on household income, followed by a detailed analysis of housing and home energy cost. Findings are as follows: (1) The maximum ratio of home energy cost to household house hold income in Korea was 49% compared to 83% in the US; (2) Energy cost to income ratio were found to have significant influences on housing cost burden and lower income households' housing cost burden was found more vulnerable to their energy cost; (3) In general, the energy cost burden of low-income renter households in Korea tended to be influenced by household size, the number of household members staying at home during daytime hours and housing unit size. The energy cost burden of low-income renter households in the U.S. tended to be influenced by home structure type, size and age, the householder's age, race, educational attainment, the household size, number of wage earners per household, income, and the number of household members between 7 and 17 years of age.

유자녀가구 유형별 빈곤의 사회경제적 특성연구: 남성한부모가구, 여성한부모가구, 양부모가구 비교분석 (Socioeconomic Characteristics of Poverty by Types of Household with Children: Comparing Male-headed, Female-headed, and Dual-parents Household)

  • 본 연구는 유자녀가구를 가구주의 성별에 따라 남성한부모가구, 여성한부모가구, 양부모가구로 분류한 다음 가구유형별 경제적 빈곤실태를 비교하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 한부모가구라 할지라도 가구주 성에 따라 이질적인 사회인구학적 특성이 발견되었다. 또한 여성한부모가구주들은 대졸 이상의 학력을 가진 경우에도 상대적 빈곤층에 속할 확률이 높았다. 이는 단순히 인적자본의 확충만으로는 이들 가구를 상대적 빈곤에서 벗어나게 하는 데 많은 제약이 있음을 의미한다. 다음으론 경제적으로 취약한 한부모가구들에서 이전소득보다는 가구주 근로소득의 절대적 비중이 크게 나타났다. 한부모가구의 빈곤탈출을 위한 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 최저생계비 기준의 단순한 상향조정보다는 어린 자녀를 가진 한부모가족을 위한 직접적인 양육 및 주거비절감 대책이 요구된다. 둘째, 남성한부모가구의 경우에도 공적이전소득의 빈곤감소효과가 매우 적기 때문에 이에 대한 제도적 보완이 시급하다. 최저생계비 결정 및 집행과정에 있어서도 현재는 가구원 총수만이 고려되고 있으나, 사적이전소득의 격차와 기타 사회인구학적 특성의 차이를 고려하여 가구주의 성별, 자녀수, 자녀의 연령 등에 따라 차등화된 세부 기준에 따라 시행되는 편이 보다 합리적이다. 셋째, 저소득층 한부모가구주들을 대상으로 보다 나은 근로조건과 경제적 인센티브를 주는 근로연계형 복지제도와 대상자의 특성별 맞춤형 직업훈련 프로그램이 시행되어야 한다.

대도시근교 농촌지역의 농가특성과 시설농가의 경영규모 변화 - 대구광역시 문산리를 사례로 - (The Characteristics of Farm Household in Suburban Areas Classified by the Farming Types and Changes of Facility Farm Household's Management Size - A Case Study of Munsanli, Taegu -)

  • 우리나라의 농촌에서는 산업화와 밀접히 연관되면서 시설작물의 재배가 증가해 왔고, 특히 1970년대 이후에는 대도시 주변지역에서 급격히 증가해 왔다. 개별농가의 영농유형은 농업노동력의 양보다는 질적 수준과 관련이 있으며, 노동력의 질적 수준에서는 특히 경영주의 연령이 중요하다. 경영규모는 경영주의 연령과 관련이 있으며 미작 재배농가보다는 시설작물 재배농가의 경영주 평균연령이 더 젊고 경영규모가 더 크다. 시설작물 재배의 주목적은 영농을 통한 상업성의 제고가 가장 원인이지만 부족한 노동력 때문에 경영규모에는 한계가 있고 특히 농산물 가격의 불안정과 수익성 악화는 적극적인 경영규모 확대를 제한하고 있다. 시설작물 재배농가의 경영규모 확대는 농지의 매입보다 임차지의 확대를 통해 이루어지며, 이때 영농조건이 유리한 농지를 중심으로 임대차가 발생된다. 결과적으로 대도시 근교 농촌지역의 유지와 발전을 위해서는 영농의 상업화와 수익성 제가 중요한 요인이지만 토지이용의 효율성 측면에서는 농지의 자연적 조건이 중요하게 작용된다. 그러나 농외부문의 취업기반이나 교육시설의 보완 없이는 촌락 공동체의 유지측면에서 가족 구성원의 분리문제와 농업노동력 부족문제가 해결될 가능성이 낮다.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to find out the characteristics of the communal shared housing preferred by the housing vulnerable single-person household young adults and adults. It also intended to identify overall characteristics of the young adults and adults and compare and analyze the differences. Method: The the questionnaire using face-to-face interview was conducted. The research subjects were 100 housing vulnerable single-person household young adults and adults, who were living in Gosiwon, Jjokbang, detached houses below the minimum housing standards, multiplex housing units and multi-household houses in Seoul. The research was conducted on the general characteristics, housing environmental characteristics, preferred characteristics of space planning and non-physical elements on the communal shared housing, and the collected data was analyzed using the SPSS statistical package. Result: Out of 15 categories on the communal shared housing, there were common preferences to 6 categories and differences in 7 categories between young adults and adults. At a time with the need for customized housing welfare by life cycle, these research findings are expected to provide basic data to realize customized housing welfare for the housing vulnerable and develop appropriate housing alternatives.
