This study was carried out in order to offer basic data available for forming the better oral health habit by closely examining a cause for industrial workers' tooth loss. It analyzed correlation in missing teeth with general characteristics, subjective oral health recognition, habit related to oral health, and oral symptom targeting 6,976 of production workers and office workers who work at 49 industrial places where are located in Gumi city of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province from June 1, 2009 to December 31, thereby having obtained the following conclusions. 1. The higher age group led to the higher ratio of missing teeth. The ratio of missing teeth was lower in a case of having been removed plaque than having not been removed plaque. 2. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having dental caries and periodontal disease. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having smoked in the past or in a case of smoking now. 3. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having less toothbrushing frequency and in a case of not using dental floss or interdental brush. 4. The ratio of missing teeth was high when a tooth is throbbing and when tongue and cheek are throbbing in addition to pain and bleeding in gum. 5. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having unpleasant bad breath. The above results are expected to be likely conducive to offering basic data necessary for developing the oral health educational program for industrial places that can promote and maintain workers' oral health, and for improving oral health program and system available for promoting and maintaining workers' oral health hereafter.
It's basically meant to make a contribution to the promotion of the oral health of shipbuilding workers and to the improvement of oral health education planning, industrial oral health policy setting and the related system, as it seems that the working environments of shipbuilding workers are very harsh due to the unique characteristics of their working process. The subjects in this study were the workers who were selected by convenience sampling from shipbuilding companies and their subcontractors in South Jeolla Province that numbered 10. The workers were surveyed to determine the relationship between their oral health education experience and oral health awareness, and the findings of the study were as follows: Out of the 310 workers investigated, 89.4 percent had no experience to receive oral health education, those who had no experience to receive oral health education fell behind in terms of oral health knowledge, awareness, concern and perception of oral health importance, and there was close correlation among their oral health knowledge, awareness, concern and perception of oral health importance. Those without oral health education experience cited lack of opportunities as the reason, the workers preferred to receive education about the prevention and treatment of dental caries, and their favorite educational method was lectures given by dentists, the workers who had oral health education experience had a more intention to receive oral health education than the others who hadn't.
The purpose of this study is to look into whether there is a possibility to develop the image of the local community in conjunction with green tourism, thus to explore the concrete ways to vitalize local community with diversified green tourism programs. In the pursuit of relating the research of community image-building with comprehensive local characteristics, this study selected the case of Jung Bang I village near Daejeon and analyzed the case through both written materials and on-site investigation. As a result of analysis, first, it was found that community image-building contributed positive effects in terms of the commercialization of the local community and its revitalization. Second, it was observed that community image-building led to form a "green route" that played a role as a passage to link townspeople to the country. It was also verified that those country villages that succeeded in image-building provided the places where people could experience the country and arts, which showed the potential of their roles as educational opportunities. In conclusion, this study will be able to suggest the direction to where the green tourism and image-building projects of the small communities near towns should go, and also provide a substantial guideline to related people regarding how to operate and maintain the local community.
Form the observation that the successful management and operation of university websites brings about university branding effects, this paper attempts to identify the problems in relation to evaluation elements of university homepages and establish a new evaluation model that allows us to grasp the importance and priority of phased evaluation elements. In particular, we tried to secure the objectivity of the importance of department homepage evaluation elements by using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). Our analysis shows that among 29 evaluation elements of department homepage, mobile service, curriculum, description of department's characteristics, guide to homepage usage/accessibility to site map and differentiated educational method were considered to be relatively important whereas the relative importance of department's slogan, differentiated image and identity, linkage to SNS, Q&A bulletin board, operation of department community, and FAQ was low. Based on the findings from our analysis, we present the basic foundation for successful management and operation of university department homepages along with a few suggestions for vitalizing those hompages.
Korean society is facing the 2017 regime and the era of the fourth industrial revolution. University education is trying to select agendas that focuses on public interest and innovation, which are key words, for change. Unlike recent efforts, practical changes are insufficient. There is a relative lack of discussion on the essence and theory of university education in South Korea. This study looked at the current location of Korean university education and discussed the essential direction from a point of view on critical pedagogy. So far, Korean university education has operated under the control of neo-liberalism for more than 20 years since the May 31 educational reform in 1995. Democracy and deindustrialization, the direction pursued by the 2017 regime and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, differs from neo-liberalism. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect on neo-liberalism and seek a subsequent turn of direction. Henry Giroux has been critical of the neo-liberalistic policy of American education, which has been a major discourse since 1980, and has discussed proposals for various changes. In particular, it provides clear coordinates for the features of human resources as educated people. For example, they are intellectuals, border intellectuals, and public intellectuals. These intellectuals have independent, autonomous, active, self-reliant characteristics and have a duty and accountability to pursue for public interests. It is also closely related to the 2017 regime and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Along with this discussion, university education seems to need serious and rigorous discussion and consideration.

Teacher reeducation is required to be comfortable with the 'Integrated science' subject as introduced in the 2015 revised curriculum. In this research, we designed in-service teacher training programs according to the types of secondary school science teacher's certificates, and developed ways to improve in-service science teachers' competencies. Through Delphi surveys with 22 science education experts, we investigated the features of the 2015 revised 'Integrated science' curriculum in light of its characteristics, purposes, contents system, contents, and so on, and explored teachers' competencies to teach the subject. Based on the analysis of the features of each type of secondary school science teachers' certification and required teacher competencies for teaching 'Integrated science', we developed three types of teacher training programs: in-service training courses for understanding the 2015 revised 'Integrated science' (Type A), in-service training courses for 'Integrated science' (Type B), and in-service teacher training certificate program for 'Integrated science' (Type C). For each teacher training program, we suggested the target of the training program in light of teacher certificates, operation systems, and ways to organize the program. In addition, we also suggested ways to improve 'Integrated science' teacher education programs for pre-service as well as in-service teachers, and examined ways to improve educational requirements for qualification in 'Integrated science' teaching based on the opinions of experts. Discussed in the conclusion are ways to design in-service teacher training programs for 'Integrated science' teaching and ways to improve 'Integrated science' teacher training.
Group counseling in elementary school is very unique in many respects due to the fact that is targets young people from the aspects of realizing educational goals and solving problems. Because it targets children who are undergoing development process, group counseling of the preventive nature is required even more. The reality, however, is that the group counseling in elementary school is carried out during the "left-over" time such as the time allocated for extracurricular activities. Worse yet, if there the homeroom teachers are not willing, then even this is not carried out. Moreover, method used for group counseling is simply re-configuration or modification of the consultation method used for adults regardless of the fact that it is necessary to develop diverse group counseling programs due to the characteristics of the children. To improve these problems, this research paper suggests the basic frame that this type of program needs, and held extensive discussions with sixteen teachers who were pursuing their master's degree for holding group counseling in elementary schools. As a result, consensus was developed that research of demand, contents configuration, organization, operation and evaluation are crucial for developing group counseling program in elementary school. And the results are to be used as important back-up material for the development of new program by holding detailed discussions on the above mentioned five topics. Furthermore, this paper presents the direction for the development of program going forth by evaluating the group counseling program in elementary school conducted in Korea to this day, and mentions the challenges that lie ahead.
This study investigated the factors that should be considered when teaching proportional expression and proportional distribution through literature review. Based on these results, we analyzed and compared Korean and foreign mathematics textbooks on proportional expression and proportional distribution longitudinally and horizontally to search for desirable methods of organizing the unit of proportional expression and proportional distribution in mathematics textbooks. For longitudinal analysis, we took the mathematics textbooks according to the national curriculum since the 5th one. For horizontal analysis, we selected the mathematics textbooks of Japan, Singapore, and China. In each textbook, the contents and the order in relation to proportional expression and proportional distribution, the definitions of terminology, and the contexts and the visual representations for introducing related concepts are selected as the analysis framework. The results of analysis revealed many characteristics and the differences in ways of dealing contents about proportional expression and proportional distribution. Based on these results, we suggested some implications for writing the unit of proportional expression and proportional distribution in elementary mathematics textbooks.
This study was to identify the prevalence rate of the limitation of activity, the reasons for activity limitation, association with activity limitation and general characteristics among older adults in Korea's population. Data were extracted from the $7^{th}$ Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The number of participants were 1,578 older adults who aged 65 years over. SPSS program (version 18.0) was used for analyzing on frequency, Chi-square test, and logistic regression analysis of the data. The total prevalence rate of activity limitation among Korea's population was 19.6% in 2016. The prevalence rate of the reasons for activity limitation in Korea was highest for neck and back problems(19.8%), followed by arthritis and rheumatism(17.1%). The prevalence rate of activity limitation was statistically significant associated with age and education level, respectively. In conclusion, Age, educational level, and musculoskeletal diseases such as problems related to back and neck, arthritis and rheumatism could be significant risk factors for activity limitations in older adults who aged 65 years over. These findings could be useful as evidence-based data for relieving the prevalence rate of activity limitation and the prevention and management of activity limitations in Korea population.
In the light of the researchers' recognition towards the designs of tellers and listeners in storytelling classes, the purpose of this study was to analyze a research trend in Korean Education in which storytelling had been utilized and to suggest a proper direction in the related education and research. The most essential thing in the conceptualization towards storytelling was thought to be 'intercommunication.' Also, it is considered as the most basic conceptual factor who we would regard as 'tellers' and 'listeners' in order to plan and construct Korean language classes. Based on this understanding, this study searched and analyzed total 28 research results, which had been published from 2008 to 2021(May), through an academic searching site, Riss with the keyword "Korean Education Storytelling." The analysis exhibited that the formation of Korean classes utilizing storytelling originated from three kinds of researchers' previous conceptualization towards storytelling.: Writers' storytelling, teachers' storytelling, and learners' storytelling. Among them, the most large portion was devoted to 'leaners' storytelling'; its subcategories were learners' retelling, interpretative storytelling, learners' negotiated storytelling and learners' creative storytelling. This study, according to the classification on conceptualization of storytelling above, categorized the results and discussed the characteristics of each subcategory and their educational implications respectively.
