Study on Reversible Electrolysis Characteristic of a Planar Type SOFC (평판형 고체산화물 연료전지의 양방향 수전해 특성 연구)

  • This paper presents the reversible electrolysis characteristics of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) using a $10{\times}10cm^2$ anode supported planar cell with an active area of $81cm^2$. In this work, current-voltage characteristic test and reversible electrolysis cycle test were carried out sequentially for 2,114 hours at a furnace temperature of $700^{\circ}C$. The current-voltage characteristics for reversible electrolysis mode was measured at a current of ${\pm}26.7A$ under various $H_2O$ utilization conditions. The reversible electrolysis cycle was performed 50 times at a current of ${\pm}32.4A$. As a result, The performance degradation of SOEC mode was larger than that of SOFC mode.

  • The laboratory tests were performed to investigate the strength characteristic of shotcrete reinforced with improved shape steel fiber developed in this study. Two different type of tests, the flexural toughness test and the bending strength test, were conducted for analyzing shotcrete strengths using three types of specimens (unreinforced shotcrete, exiting steel fiber reinforced shotcrete, and new concept steel fiber reinforced shotcrete). The results of tests represented the advancement of the strength characteristic of shotcrete reinforced with improved shape steel fiber with respect to that of shotcrete reinforced with existing steel fiber.

Analysis of the Public Health Nurses' Job Involvement (보건소 간호사의 직무몰입 분석)

  • This study was carried out to explore the direction of job involvement of public health nurses and explore the way for improving services of public health center in Korea. The subjects were consisted of 164 nurses who were working at public health centers in Chonbuk. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaire from Jan. 15 to Jan. 27, 1996. The instrument used in this study was Likert-type scale which Job Involvement Scale developed by Kanungo. The questionnaires of organizational and job characteristic were made through reviewing literatures. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSSPC+ program. Major findings were as follows : 1. Mean scores for job involvement were 3.0879 on a 5 point scale. 2. In the personal variables, professional experience(t=-2.18, p=.031), position(t=2.34, p=.021), and age(F=-1.94, p=.038) were statistically significant in job involvement. 3. The variables to job characteristic were statistically significant in job involvement: job challenge (r=.4785, p=.000), role ambiguity (r=-.3141, p=.000), task significance (r=.2714, p=.000), and role conflict(r=-.2166, p=.003). 4. The variables to organizational characteristic were statistically significant in job involvement : formalization(r=.3184, p=.000) and human centered organizational characteristic (r=.2450, p=.001).

A Study on Design and Combustion Characteristic of a $H_2O_2$/Kerosene Uni-Injector Rocket Engine (과산화수소/케로신 단일 인젝터 설계 및 혼합비에 따른 연소특성)

  • In this study, a coaxial swirl injector using hydrogen peroxide and kerosene was designed and combustion performance tests were performed to evaluate combustion characteristic according to mixture ratio. Spray characteristic of the injector was verified by cold flow test and combustion performances according to mixture ratio were evaluated by the characteristic exhaust velocity. Test results showed that the combustion efficiency at the design condition was about 95% and the pressure fluctuation was very small.

  • A detailed Investigation of cell structure and electrical characteristic in chalcogenide-based phase-change random access memory(PRAM) devices is presented. We used compound of Ge-Sb-Te material for phase-change cell. A novel bottom electrode structure and manufacture are described. We used heat radiator structure for improved reset characteristic. A resistance change measurement is performed on the test chip. From the resistance change, we could observe faster reset characteristic.

  • In the present study, fuel system matching was analyzed, and a characteristic chart for common use for design-related parts is presented. Based on the characteristic chart thus presented, controlled fuel system matching was tested for a 35-liter fuel system, and actual mass product movement coils were applied to validate the test. The keynote of the present research is the use of the characteristic chart to devise a preferred fuel system matching method. Through the present study, it will be possible to design standard parts for efficient fuel system matching in the near future.

  • The characteristic values of damping materials are variant on frequency and temperature. We measure the characteristic values(loss factor, young\\\\`s modulus) of damping materials in vibration test. We can not measure characteristic values of damping materials by themselves. So, we proposed a method, sticking damping material to thin steel beam and measuring of characteristic values of damping material on frequency and temperature. We didn\\\\`t use constraining layer but we measured characteristic values on conditioning temperature.

  • In this paper, optimized model was designed for the starting characteristic of the Single-Phase Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor by using the Design of Experiment. A field pole angle, thickness and distance from center axis of permanent magnet were selected as design factor. We executed the transient state characteristic analysis of 8 test models. The transient state characteristic analysis was executed by using the 2 dimensional Finite Element Method and the Time Difference Method. We checked the fact that the selected design factor affected starting characteristic of the Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. Depend on this result we found the optimized design point by using the response optimization.

  • The characteristic evaluation of an aluminium filler tube for automotive is presented in this paper. The material of filler tube was used AL3003 aluminium. In characteristic evaluation of an aluminium filler, we measured the corrosion, chemical resistance, weight, leak, welding strength, exciting endurance, and the solt spray test etc.. It has been shown that the weight decreased approximately 61% in aluminum filler tube developed comparing with steel filler tube. As the characteristic evaluation on the manufactured aluminium filler it was enough satisfied to use at the automotive filler tube.

  • A ground firing test for hot-fire performance evaluation according to the characteristic length($L^*$) variation of thrust chamber was carried out for the hydrazine thruster which may be employed in space launch vehicles. A scrutiny into the performance characteristics of each thruster is made in terms of thrust, specific impulse, response characteristics, and characteristic velocity at steady-state firing mode with propellant inlet pressure of 2.41 MPa (350 psia). Through the test results, it has been verified that performance of characteristic velocity and specific impulse degrades as the characteristic length deviates from that of the standard model. Thus, it is confirmed that the thrust chamber configuration of standard model was suitably designed for the requirement specified.
