This paper deals with deterministic PI controller design based on dynamic characteristics for refrigeration system. The temperature control system of an oil cooler is described as a typical 2nd order model of the refrigeration system which has zeros in a transfer function. PI controller gains satisfying control specifications are represented by the dynamic characteristic functions using relationship between the parameters and the control specifications in the model. Phase margin was considered to increase robustness of the oil cooler control system. Furthermore, the influence of zeros in the model to the control specifications was analyzed in detail for improving control performance. The validity of the suggested PI controller design was investigated using the four types of gains which had been already confirmed their control performances through experiments.
Principle of mailing list was distributed messages to all subscribers in one time. But mailing list operation has constructed a network traffic problem. Because mailing list manager distributed mails without concentrate on subscriber network. If our network has many of subscribers, there will be redundant data in traffic channel. Submailing list has purpose to reduce problems. Analyses of mailing list characteristic in electronic mail were a feature of submailing list system, which manage by human hand (Network Administrator). That will cause trouble for network traffic if Network Administrator could not seek for mailing list characteristic from e-mails in due time. This article will present ideas and recognize methodology for automatic working in submailing list system. Recognize step begin with capture process, which use to trap e-mail information from transfer channel. Next process is preparing raw data into recognition format. Then the third one is recognize part and find out confidential factor. The last process is make decision and determine which electronic mail has properties of mailing list characteristic. Afterward deliver result to submailing list for carry on.
This paper presents the pattern characteristic using the electrostatic drop-on-demand ink-jet printing system. In order to achieve the pattern characteristic of electrostatic inkjet printing, the capillary inkjet head system is fabricated using capillary tube, Pt wire and electrode, and is packaged by acrylic board for the accurate alignment between wire and electrode-hole. The applied DC voltage of 1.4 $\sim$ 2.0 kV used for the observation of electrostatic droplet ejection. Electrostatic droplet ejection is directly observed using a high-speed camera. For investigated pattern characteristic, conductive inkjet silver ink used. The higher voltage has a good condition which has micro dripping mode. Also, the droplet size decreases with increasing the supplied DC voltage. This paper shows the pattern which is formed by about 300um. Also, capillary inkjet head system will be applied industrial area comparing conventional electrostatic inkjet head system.

In this study, we present unvoiced consonant recognition system using characteristic parameters of the phoneme of the each syllable. For the recognition, the characteristic parameters on the time domain such as ZCR, total energy of the consonant region and half region energy of the consonant region, and those on the frequency domain such as the frequency spectrum of the transition region are used. The objective unvoiced consonants in this study are /ㄱ/,/ㄷ/,/ㅂ/,/ㅈ/,/ㅋ/,/ㅌ/,/ㅍ/ and /ㅊ/. Each characteristic parameter of two regions extracted from these segmented unvoiced consonants are used for each recognition system of the region, independently, And complementing two outputs of each other system, the final output is to be produced. The recognition system is implemented using MLP which has learning ability. The recognition simulation results for 112 unvoiced consonant samples are that average recognition rates are 96.4$\%$ under 80$\%$ learning rates and 93.7$\%$ under 60$\%$ learning rates.

This paper presents that a transient response can be characterized by certain parameters which are correlated to characteristic polynomial coefficients. These are characteristic ratios and characteristic pulsatances by P. Naslin [4]. We have developed an approach to control directly the transient response. Firstly, speed of the response can be controlled by reconstruction form via multipliable characteristic pulsatances. Secondly, overshoot is controlled by reconstruction form via multipliable characteristic ratios. These formulas can be independently characterized by the system overshoot and the response time to a step input.
In this paper, we consider a split least-squares characteristic mixed element method for Sobolev equations with a convection term. First, to manipulate both convection term and time derivative term efficiently, we apply a characteristic mixed element method to get the system of equations in the primal unknown and the flux unknown and then get a least-squares minimization problem and a least-squares characteristic mixed element scheme. Finally, we obtain a split least-squares characteristic mixed element scheme for the given problem whose system is uncoupled in the unknowns. We prove the optimal order in $L^2$ and $H^1$ normed spaces for the primal unknown and the suboptimal order in $L^2$ normed space for the flux unknown.
In this paper, we introduce a higher order split least-squares characteristic mixed element scheme for Sobolev equations. First, we use a characteristic mixed element method to manipulate both convection term and time derivative term efficiently and obtain the system of equations in the primal unknown and the flux unknown. Second, we define a least-squares minimization problem and a least-squares characteristic mixed element scheme. Finally, we obtain a split least-squares characteristic mixed element scheme for the given problem whose system is uncoupled in the unknowns. We establish the convergence results for the primal unknown and the flux unknown with the second order in a time increment.

In this paper, authors use a stereo vision system based on the visual model of human and establish inexpensive method that recognizes moving distance using characteristic points around the robot. With the stereovision. the changes of the coordinate values of the characteristic points that are fixed around the robot are measured. Self-displacement and self-localization recognition system is proposed from coordination reconstruction with those changes. To evaluate the proposed system, several characteristic points that is made with a LED around the robot and two cheap USB PC cameras are used. The mobile robot measures the coordinate value of each characteristic point at its initial position. After moving, the robot measures the coordinate values of the characteristic points those are set at the initial position. The mobile robot compares the changes of these several coordinate values and converts transformation matrix from these coordinate changes. As a matrix of the amount and the direction of moving displacement of the mobile robot, the obtained transformation matrix represents self-displacement and self-localization by the environment.

Recently, a new method for reconstructing a forced nonlinear dynamic system has been proposed; specifically, the simultaneous reconstruction of its excitation as well as restoring characteristics of the system. The reconstruction was just theoretically shown to be possible by measuring the system's responses, based on newly introduced notions, a J-function and a zero-crossing time. However, numerically in the current paper, we are to reconstruct a linear system, i.e., we focus on numerical experiments to reconstruct both the excitation and the linear restoring characteristic of a linear forced oscillating system by using response data, based on the J-function and the zero-crossing time.
