String Matching Algorithm on Multi-byte Character Set Texts (다중바이트 문자집합 텍스트에서의 문자열 검색 알고리즘)

  • An extensive research on exact string matching has been done, but there have been few researches on the matching in multi-byte character set texts such as EUC~KR. This paper shows that false matches may occur in multi-byte character set texts such as EUC-KR when using KMP algorithm, and presents a refined KMP algorithm without false matches applying a character-based prefix function. And also, Experimental results show that our algorithm is faster than string matching algorithms of widely used editors, Vim and Emacs, and the existing automata-based algorithm.

  • The character recognition technique is one of the artificial intelligence and has been widely applied in the automated system robot HCI(Human Computer Interaction), etc. This paper introduces the character set and the representative character that can be used in the recognition of the mage ROI. The character codes in this ROI include the digit, symbol, English and Hereat etc. We proposed the efficient multi-classifier structure by combining the small-size classifiers hierarchically. Moreover, we generated each small-size classifiers by delta-bar-delta learning algorithm. We tested the performance with various kinds of images and achieved the accuracy of 99%. The proposed multi-classifier showed the efficiency and the reliability for the mixed character code set.

  • Let D be an integral domain with Spec(D) finite, K the quotient field of D, [D,K] the set of rings between D and K, and SFc(D) the set of semistar operations of finite character on D. It is well known that |Spec(D)| ${\leq}$ |SFc(D)|. In this paper, we prove that |Spec(D)| = |SFc(D)| if and only if D is a valuation domain, if and only if |Spec(D)| = |[D,K]|. We also study integral domains D such that |Spec(D)|+1 = |SFc(D)|.

  • When Chinese character used in Korea, so did the characters' pronunciation, so many Korean Chinese characters today have similar pronunciation with Chinese, but since Korean and Chinese pronunciations were preserved and developed in different alphabets, the written letter of the pronunciation also differs. This study on Chinese education, has constructed and implemented an easy way to study Chinese pronunciations by creating conversion rule set between Chinese pronunciation, Chinese Hanyu latin Pinyin and Korean chinese character pronunciation consisting of an initial sound, a medial vowel, and a final consonant. This study has established web version and application version of this conversion rule set education system to enhance Chinese education.

  • In this paper, we introduce the three-dimensional Korean character display by using 2D fonts and character depth. Character segments are designed by the set of vertex at run time. Character depth is applied for 3D visualization. And, the variation of eye-point and distance of object is used for 3D character animation.

  • The current 3D CG animation pipe line, which is the production system, does not have an effective solution that all animation departments are able to start their jobs independently against other animation departments. It is generally acknowledged that we could not do animating task before the modeling and set-up task. This kind of process has caused loss of labour. We could expect lasting problems which is stopping marking animating process before the previous process done again in case of requiring editing the jobs which are modeling and set-up. We could solve these "bottleneck" situation with "master character" defined as standard, so that animate and retake the job independently against other departments. These new process could accelerate the animation pipe line system.

  • This is Part I of a two-part article on Korean character processing by a computer. In part I, the problems in Korean character processing are identified and the theoretical foundation is laid out as a viable solution to them. The one-and two-dimensional syntactic structures of Korean characters are formally defined by means of BNF and " Patternal structure " respectively. Formal discussion of lexical and syntactic algorithms is given for character conversion. This character conversion algorithm is applicable to both input and output. For device-independence and implementation-independence, the concept of " cardinal symbol set " is introduced. We will present a historical survey of Korean character processing and discussion of implementation problems for the above algorithm In Part II.lgorithm In Part II.

Automatic Recognition of Hand-written Hangout by the Phase Rotation (위상회전에 의한 필기체 한글의 자동인식)

  • In this paper, a method is proposed for the recognition of hand-written Hangeul. This is peiformed by extraction of the concave structural segments by phase rotation. Character patterns can be decomposed into the fundamental concave structural segments which are also categorized into segment sects, and the closure and phase features of each segment in set is represented by logics. By rotating the logic pattern, the topological and phase features of segment are extracted for the reliable recognition of the character. It is also evaluated that this method applies to a wide variety of shape, position and declination of the character.

A Value Analysis of the Hedgerow in Cultivated Areas in point of Landscape (농경지 내 띠형수림의 경관적 가치분석)

  • This research regard it as most meaningful to realize the importance of the hedgerow in cultivated areas functioning as a residual landscape element in rural landscape and set improvement guidelines through landscape character and value analysis to cope with landscape malfunction. The results of summary are as follows. 1) First of all, as a result of landscape character analysis of edge stripe in cultivated land in total of 7 case areas, for example, the edge stripe in cultivated land in case area 4 and 8 maintain the width of 10m and are assessed satisfactory in terms of vegetation development condition, appearance of living species, connectivity, buffer capacity and so on. Also, as a result of structural character of correlation analysis among items, the correlation coefficient between width and appearance of living species showed 0.941, the highest. Following are connectivity and appearance of living species and width and buffer capacity respectively: 0.841 and 0.740. 2) As a result of landscape character analysis of uncultivated stripe in total of 6 case areas, it is analyzed that case area 4 maintains the widest width as almost 4.5m average width and considered valuable as I degree in vegetation development condition, filtering, and connectivity. 3) As a result of problem analysis of uncultivated stripe, for example, case 3, 9, and 10 was analyzed that the width was below 1.25m which is too small to carry out the function of buffer and habitat for living creature, so minimum standard width was set between 4~5m through comprehensive analysis of character of each case area. Based on the result above landscape character, value and problem analysis, main improvement guidelines are set in terms of width, connectivity, filtering, and vegetation development, restrictive practices and so on.
