In this paper, we present a practical method for generating facial animation by using an optical motion capture system. In our setup, we assumed a situation of capturing the body motion and the facial expression simultaneously, which degrades the quality of the captured marker data. To overcome this problem, we provide an integrated framework based on the local coordinate system of each marker for labeling the marker data, hole-filling and removing noises. We justify the method by applying it to generate a short animated film.

This study focuses 'Korean characteristics' in architectural interior design. In this study, some Korean characteristics was extracted by analysing traditional Korean spaces and as well as by considering the architectural interior spaces which are designed with Korean character since 1970. This paper started with differenciating the elements and principles that consist of space, and then classified the elements into 8 categories such as Spatial system, Enclosure system, Circulation system, Material system, Furnishing system, Light, Color, Context which are analysing frames. As a conclusion, the concepts of Korean characteristics are extracted and suggested as design concept with Korean characteristics by analysing the contents of each category. These concepts were presented with simple diagrams and supporting cases were also presented in this paper. The design concepts of 'Korean characteristics' are classified in the 25 concepts: Holonic composition, Transitional space, Hierarchy by floor level, Gradation of privacy, Changeability, Various central yards, Space with opened edges, Gray space, Continuity of space, Translucent wall, Folding-lifting wall, Skeleton, Abstract facet, Path as a message, Mild light, Multii-layered vista, Fluidity, framed scenery, Serial view, Interpenetrating Space, Harmony with nature, Organic interrelationship, Complementary Dual Structure, Temporal change of space, Hierarchical order.

In sports video games, especially ball games, motion capture techniques are used to reproduce the ball-driven performances. The amount of motion data needed to create different situations in which athletes exchange balls is bound to increase exponentially with resolution. This paper proposes how avatars in virtual worlds can not only imitate professional athletes in ball games, but also create and edit their actions effectively. First, various ball-handling movements are recorded using motion sensors. We do not really have to control an actual ball; imitating the motions is enough. Next, motion is created by specifying what to pass the ball through, and then making motion to handle the ball in front of the motion sensor. The ball's occupant then passes the ball to the user-specified target through a motion that imitates the user's, and the process is repeated. The method proposed can be used as a convenient user interface for motion based games for players who handle balls.

Most recent E-mail systems, that are serviced in Korea, are supporting Hangul in many fields of E-mail(For example, contents, subject, attachment, etc.). However, these systems do not support Hangul in the address field of E-mail. In 2003, IDNA built the international standard in order to support multi-lingual besides the alphabetic character, a number, and '-'. So, Hangul cab be used in the domain part where is the right of '@' mark among the compositional element of the E-mail address. But, the local-part, where is the left of '@' mark, doesn't still support multi-lingual. So Hangul cannot be used in the local-part. In order to support multi-lingual including Hangul in the local-part, this paper designs and implements the E-mail system according to the EAI standardization research that it is progressed in IETF.

This research intends to make a model of space development in Korea as a sectoral innovation system. The main contents include a character analysis of the elements of three low levels of the space development innovation system, including governance (the main agent and cooperation relationship of which the center is a research institute supported by government), resources (financial resources and human resources), and the diffusion of research results. It is important to grasp the factors that bring about technological innovation of industrial sectors to produce technological innovation policy. Technology innovation policy should thus be formulated for specific, individual sectors, and not all sectors.

Chuneunja(天隱子) was publication that described the life nurturing(養生) of Taoism, consisted of 8 chapters. It was comparative primary writing and contained important contents in related to the life nurturing of Taoism. It belonged to the life nurturing of Taoism that influenced by Confucianism and Buddhism. It emphasized on the practical and rational thought that mastered morality by performing gradually. It showed the concrete asceticism method like to the basic regimen training of Taoism, for example mind control(調心), flesh control(調身), breath control(調息), conduction exercise(導引), raping teeth (叩齒法) and swallowing saliva(嚥津法). Oriental traditional regimen focused on realizing balanced human character by practicing human mind and body. It may show the direction to modern person that are troubled with harmful effect of modern civilization. If we throw away superstitious and unreal part in the traditional regimen and apply regimen in one's life, we may consider that regimen contribute to human health. Therefore, we require clear understanding for the classic data inherited from predecessors.

Carbon materials were synthesized by pyrolysis from fibers of Corn-straw (Zea mays), Rice-straw (Oryza sativa), Jute-straw (Corchorus capsularis) Bamboo (Bombax bambusa), Bagass (Saccharum officinarum), Cotton (Bombax malabaricum), and Coconut (Cocos nucifera); these materials were characterized by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectra. All carbon materials are micro sized with large pores or channel like morphology. The unique complex spongy, porous and channel like structure of Carbon shows a lot of similarity with the original anatomy of the plant fibers used as precursor. Waxy contents like tyloses and pits present on fiber tracheids that were seen in the inherent anatomy disappear after pyrolysis and only the carbon skeleton remained; XRD analysis shows that carbon shows the development of a (002) plane, with the exception of carbon obtained from bamboo, which shows a very crystalline character. Raman studies of all carbon materials showed the presence of G- and D-bands of almost equal intensities, suggesting the presence of graphitic carbon as well as a disordered graphitic structure. Carbon materials possessing lesser density, larger surface area, more graphitic with less of an $sp^3$ carbon contribution, and having pore sizes around $10{\mu}m$ favor hydrogen adsorption. Carbon materials synthesized from bagass meet these requirements most effectively, followed by cotton fiber, which was more effective than the carbon synthesized from the other plant fibers.

The aim of this study was to select useful items for assessing fall risk in community-dwelling elderly. This study assumed five fall risk factors: Symptoms of falling, physical function, disease and physical symptoms, environment, and behavior and character based on previous studies. The questionnaire consisted of 44 items according to the contents validation, crossover analysis and factor analysis. The Korean version of the Fall Risk Assessment Scale (FRA-K) will be used as a useful tool to improve the fall problems perceived to be serious social problems and to provide important information for prevention of falls.

Iksookimia longicorpa was investigated in the upper part of the Seomjin River in Korea from 2003 to 2004. It inhabited pebble and cobble bottoms with water-current velocities of 10~30 cm/sec and depths of 30~100 cm. This species is active during daylight hours from March to October but hibernated in the river bottoms in the winter season. The sex ratio of female to male was 1 : 0.65, and the female was 20~40 mm larger than the male. Female length frequencies in this population indicated that the 65~90 mm group is 1+years old, the 90~110 mm group is 2+ years old, and the 110~130 mm group is 3+ years old. The males developed a secondary sexual character, the lamina circularis at the base of their pectoral fin, after 13~14 months. The spawning season was from early to middle June with water temperatures of $20{\sim}24^{\circ}C$ individuals became sexually mature after the age of 2 years. The average number of eggs in the ovaries was $2,402{\pm}944$. Stomach contents were mainly Chironomidae, Ephemeroptera, Arcellidae and Algae. The feeding rate was highest in April and September; they did not fed in the winter.

This study was undertaken to design Ginyeo's character and costume in the early-middle Goryeo Dynasty which had a few relics, and to make practical cultural contents. The famous Goryeo Ginyeos who had real names are costume characters. Goryeo women dressed in delicate white ramie jarket in "Goryeo-dokyung", and the shape of Jacket can be two kinds: long-wide jacket enough to tie a belt, and long caftan cover the knee. Goryeo women enjoyed wide yellow skirt, but Ginyeo in "Dongguk-isanggutjip" put on pink, flower, pomegranate, red skirt for high class ladies. In the case of Mong-su(a head cloth with black gauze train), it is thought that Ginyeo fold up train like lower class or just hang down like ordinary women, because of their status. As underwear, a ramie jacket and wide underpants were set up. It is needed that many Golden bells and jade trinkets must be attached to Goryeo Ginyeo's waist to stress their characteristics. Ginyeo's hair style can be designed so that a bunch of right hair was dropped down and the rest hair was rolled on reft shoulder. To design a Ginyeo's costume chatacter of the early-middle Goryeo, the richness of wide skirt, delicacy of white ramie, a great deal of trinkets must be emphasized correctly as a characteristic of Goryeo women's costume in that period.
