Control charts are used to distinguish between chance and assignable causes in the variability of quality characteristics. When a control chart signals that an assignable cause is present, process engineers must initiate a search for the assignable cause of the process disturbance. Identifying the time of a process change could lead to simplifying the search for the assignable cause and less process down time, as well as help to reduce the probability of incorrectly identifying the assignable cause. The change point estimation by likelihood theory and the built-in change point estimation in a control chart have been discussed until now. In this article, we discuss two kinds of process change point estimation when the CUSUM ($\bar{x}$, s) control chart for monitoring process mean and variance simultaneously is operated. Throughout some numerical experiments about the performance of the change point estimation, the change point estimation techniques in the CUSUM ($\bar{x}$, s) control chart are considered.

This paper presents a new approach to managing dynamic business process changes based on business process change patterns. We identify and categorize business process change patterns that occur recurrently in a dynamic business environment. Several issues regarding management of process versions are discussed, and a pattern-based version management method for handling process changes more flexibly is explained in detail. We propose a mechanism for abstract process execution with runtime encapsulation of a business process, which can maximize the flexibility of process execution using multiple process versions. In addition, we propose a concept of process promotion and demotion that can dynamically choose an actual version of the process at run-time. With our pattern-based process change management and versioning approach, it is expected that the flexibility and efficiency of BPM systems can be enhanced significantly.

The purpose of this study is to examine how change recipients react to change (affective commitment to change) and how change leads to positive consequences (job satisfaction) in Revolution and Evolution, taking into account the change content (perceived change impact), change context (change climate), and change process (participation in the change process). The present study uses a deductive approach with an exploratory research design. Data was collected from 254 employees of the head offices of three major banks, who have gone through Revolution, and 354 employees of the head offices, three banks who have gone through Evolution in the last five years. The hypothesized model is tested and analyzed through structural equation modeling using SmartPLS. The findings revealed that, in the case of Revolution, the presence of the favorable context and process might revert the negative perception of the change and lead towards explicit positive reactions (affective commitment to change) and change consequences (job satisfaction). In the case of Evolution, the change can be more effectively implemented using favorable context and process by achieving explicit positive reactions (affective commitment to change) and change consequences (job satisfaction).

Traditional business process management systems provide verification tools of process models to deploy and automate the models. However, there are not so many studies on how to maintain systematically collaborative process models such as supply chain processes when companies are willing to change and update the collaborative process models. In this paper, we analyze change patterns of collaborative processes and declare 19 change patterns. In addition, we apply the change patterns to the process interoperability patterns in order to identify the change problems in case of independent process changes of collaborative processes. As a result, we devise an independency checking algorithm of process changes in collaborative processes.

This paper considers a recent environment in the manufacturing process in which data in large amounts can be obtained on-line in real-time. Under this environment an on-line real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) scheme equipped with detection of a process change, change-point estimation, and recognition of the change pattern is proposed. The proposed SPC scheme is composed of a Cusum chart, filtering methods and Akaike Information Criterion (AIC). We examine the performance of this scheme by Monte Carlo simulation and show its usefulness.

The purpose of this paper is to study the links between manufacturing strategy and change programs of manufacturing firms in Korea. The nature of our analysis is more descriptive than normative or confirmative. First, we investigate the linkage between manufacturing strategy, manufacturing capability, change programs and performance measurement systems. Secondly, we intend to explore an empirical typology of manufacturing strategy and change programs. The initial findings of the study are as follows: Linkage between manufacturing strategy and change programs of manufacturing firms was not apparent. Flexibility as a strategic priority is positively related to the innovative change programs. There are two distinctive strategies of manufacturing firms in Korea, namely, quality strategy and balanced strategy. We identified three types of change programs, which are incremental change, administrative innovation, and process innovation. Incremental change group has represented low factor score in the change program dimensions. The firms in administrative innovation group mainly depend on information systems and business reengineering. Korean manufacturing firms seem to pursue process improvement by trying simultaneously incremental change in the process, managerial process improvement, and a little bit of innovative change. Performance variable utilization of the firms are not significantly different along with manufacturing strategies and change programs. We found, however, learning and improvement performance dimension is significantly related to flexibility variables. Process innovation group marked high score in usage of learning and improvement indices. The findings of this study seem to have various implications on realigning the manufacturing strategy, change programs, and performance systems in Korean firms.

Knowing the time of the process change could lead to quicker identification of the responsible special cause and less process down time, and it could help to reduce the probability of incorrectly identifying the special cause. In this paper, we propose a generalized maximum likelihood estimate. (MLE) of the process change point when a control chart with variable sample size (VSS) scheme signals a change in the process mean, and evaluate the performance of this estimator when it mi used with a VSS EWMA chart.

This thesis deals with the method of Work Sampling to compare production activity due to change of productivity, workmen's productivity environment, nonproductivity of machine and plant when there is a process before and after change of work environments. So, this study takes $x^2$ - test to discover significant change of process, and obtains Proper observation number due to ratio difference-test over change of productivity before and after process change. Therefore, this thesis represent statistically effective results between two periods before and after process change.

It is noted that many econometric time series have long-memory properties. A long-memory process, or strongly dependent process, is characterized by hyperbolic decaying autocorrelations and unbounded spectral density at the origin. Since the long-memory property can be observed by data obtained from rather a long period, there is some possibility of parameter change in the process. In this paper, we consider the estimation of change-point when there is a change in the variance of a long-memory process. The estimator is based on some reasonable statistic and the consistency is shown using Taqqu's strong reduction theorem

실제 많은 기업현장에서 소프트웨어 패키지를 통해 전사적 시스템을 구현하는 기업들이 급증하고 있으나, 상당수 프로젝트들이 실패하거나 기대성과를 충족하지 못하는 사례들이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 이 같은 결과가 소프트웨어 패키지를 적용해 시스템을 구현하는 기업들이 패키지의 표준 프로세스에 맞추어 기업 프로세스를 변화시키지 않고 ERP 표준 기능을 상당부분 수정하거나 사용자들이 시스템 도입으로 변화된 프로세스를 수용하고 제대고 적응하지 못하기 때문에 초래될 수 있음을 지적하였다. 그리고 비즈니스 프로세스를 ERP 프로세스에 맞추어 변화시키는 구현단계별 활동이 ERP성공적 도입에 근본적으로 중요하며, ERP구현프로세스에서 비즈니스 프로세스 변화 노력과 함께 변화관리 노력이 통합적으로 이루어질 때 비로소 ERP 시스템 도입성과가 달성될 수 있음을 실증적으로 밝혔다. 본 연구의 결과는 ERP 도입을 준비하고 있거나 구현과정에서 적절한 접근방식을 찾지 못해 고민하는 많은 기업들에게 실용적인 ERP구현 가이드로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
