RCP 8.5 시나리오와 관수 기법의 변화에 따른 논에서의 온실가스 배출 변화의 DNDC 모델을 통한 모의 (DNDC Modeling for Greenhouse Gases Emission in Rice Paddy of South Korea and the Effect of Flooding Management Change and RCP 8.5 Scenario)

  • 기후 변화는 21세기에 인류가 맞이한 가장 중요한 문제 중에 하나이다. 탄소 배출은 이러한 기후 변화의 가장 핵심 원인으로 지목 된다. 토양은 관리 방법에 따라서 탄소의 저장원이 되기도 하지만 큰 배출원이 될 수도 있다. 기온의 변화는 농경지 토양에서 배출되는 온실가스의 양을 크게 변화시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 작물의 생산량을 위한 농법 변화에도 영향을 미치기 때문에 기후 변화에 따른 온실가스 배출 변화는 두 가지 요인의 상호작용을 고려할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 남한의 논에서의 온실가스 배출은 2011년부터 2100년까지 RCP 8.5 시나리오의 기상 변화에 따라서 모의하였다. 농법의 변화로는 다양한 논의 담수 기법이 적용되었다. 기존의 담수 기법으로는 기후변화가 진행됨에 따라서 온실가스 배출이 급격하게 상승하는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 간단관수가 이러한 온실가스 배출을 크게 감소시킴을 확인하였다. 미래의 농법이 작물의 생산량을 최대화시키는 방향으로 변화한다고 가정하였을 때 기후 변화에 따라서 많은 농지가 관행 농법 보다 간단관수가 시행되었을 때 수확량이 상승하게 되었고, 이러한 기후변화의 적응을 고려하였을 때는 기후 변화에 따라서 온실가스 배출이 감소함을 확인하였다.

  • 소프트웨어 개발 초기에 모든 요구사항을 정의하는 것은 불가능하기 때문에 요구사항은 소프트웨어 개발이 진행되는 동안에 지속적으로 변경된다. 이러한 요구사항 변경은 개발자가 소프트웨어 구조나 행위를 완벽하게 이해하지 못하거나 변경에 따라 영향을 받는 모든 부분을 식별할 수 없을 경우 많은 오류를 야기 시킨다. 그러므로, 조직의 비즈니스에 공헌하면서 비용 효과적으로 적절히 처리되기 위하여 요구사항은 관리되고 평가되어야한다. 본 논문은 가치분석을 통하여 생성된 휘처 기반의 요구사항추적 링크를 근간으로 하는 요구사항변경 관리 기법을 제안한다. 이는 사용자 요구사항과 산출물간의 연결을 분석하기 위하여 휘처를 중간 매개체로 활용한 추적 링크를 이용한다. 그리고, 요구사항 변경 요청을 휘처 단위로 상세화하기 위한 변경 트리 모델을 정의하고 변경 관리가 수행되는 전체적인 프로세스를 제시한다. 또한, 요구사항 변경 관리 기법을 자산관리포탈시스템에 적용한 사례의 결과를 기술한다.

  • Climate change influences multiple environmental aspects, certain of which are specifically related to agricultural water resources such as water supply, water management, droughts and floods. Understanding the impact of climate change on reservoirs in relation to the passage of time is an important component of water resource management for stable water supply maintenance. Changes on rainfall and hydrologic patterns due to climate change can increases the occurrence of reservoir water shortage and affect the future availability of agricultural water resources. It is a main concern for sustainable development in agricultural water resources management to evaluate adaptation capability of water supply under the future climate conditions. The purpose of this study is to predict the sustainability of agricultural water demand and supply under future climate change by applying an irrigation vulnerability assessment model to investigate evidence of climate change occurrences at a local scale with respect to potential water supply capacity and irrigation water requirement. Thus, it is a recommended practice in the development of water supply management strategies on reservoir operation under climate change.

Neural Network Modeling supported by Change-Point Detection for the Prediction of the U.S. Treasury Securities

  • The purpose of this paper is to present a neural network model based on change-point detection for the prediction of the U.S. Treasury Securities. Interest rates have been studied by a number of researchers since they strongly affect other economic and financial parameters. Contrary to other chaotic financial data, the movement of interest rates has a series of change points due to the monetary policy of the U.S. government. The basic concept of this proposed model is to obtain intervals divided by change points, to identify them as change-point groups, and to use them in interest rates forecasting. The proposed model consists of three stages. The first stage is to detect successive change points in the interest rates dataset. The second stage is to forecast the change-point group with the backpropagation neural network (BPN). The final stage is to forecast the output with BPN. This study then examines the predictability of the integrated neural network model for interest rates forecasting using change-point detection.

  • SCM은 기업의 성과를 향상시키기 위해 공급사슬 전체를 유기적으로 통합한 전략적 협업체이다. SCM의 활동을 효율적으로 달성하기 위해서는 상호 장기적 관계수립을 위한 변화관리가 강조되고 있다. SCM 시스템의 구현은 공급사슬 내의 기업 및 구성원들의 광범위한 변화를 가져오고, 이러한 변화는 기업 및 구성원의 저항에 부딪칠 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서, 효과적인 변화관리 없이는 SCM 시스템의 성공을 보장 할 수 없다. 또한 본 연구에서는 정보특성 (정보품질, 정보공유)를 통한 SCM 시스템성과를 측정하기 위해 정보역량을 개념을 채택하였다. 따라서, 본 연구는 변화관리가 정보품질과 정보공유를 통해 정보역량에 미치는 상호호혜적인 인과관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 변화관리는 정보품질, 정보공유, 정보역량에 모두 유의한 영향을 보였다. 둘째, 정보품질 역시 정보공유 및 정보역량에 유의한 영향을 보였다. 마지막으로, 정보공유 또한 정보역량에 유의한 영향을 보였다.

ANALYZING CAUSES OF CHANGE ORDERS IN KOREA ROAD PROJECTS

  • The Korean government implemented 259 road projects from 2004 to 2007, valued at $18.4 billion. Change orders of these road projects occurred 8,973 times and, subsequently, caused significant increases in the cost of the projects, approximately up to $4.2 billion (22.8% of the initial budget). These significant problems of huge change orders require a more workable control system for budget management whereas the effectiveness of the government's control is still not satisfied. However, previous approaches and studies mostly limited their analyses to simply classifying the causes of the change orders. This paper investigates the real frequency and cost impacts incurred by each cause of a change order, primarily based on 218 road projects in Korea. The paper then identifies the attributes of change orders through a survey of 204 project participants in that those sources were inevitable or avoided if properly managed. The causes of the change orders are further analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) in connection with contract volume, bid award rate, the contractor's capacity to perform, and the design company's capacity. This study found that if the contract volume is smaller, then the possibility of change orders is higher. Interestingly, if the bid award rate is less than 67.5%, it signifies the highest rate of change orders. In addition, the contractors whose construction ability is assessed as the top-ranked group showed the lowest change order rates. With these results, this paper provides the preventive guidelines for reducing the likelihood of change orders.

  • The purpose of this study is to find and explain the relationships of organizational innovation and organizational change. In order to purse this purpose, an investigation and in-depth analysis of organizational innovation and organizational change, an inevitable ingredient of the organizational dynamics that influence organizational innovativeness, was undertaken. The concept of innovation should be used as the positive concept. Innovativeness is the quasi-concept of innovation when organizational innovation can be meant as the deliberated and planned change, the reference to the difference between organizational innovation and organizational change operates as the same meaning. Organizational change is preconditioned for the structural adjustment, the management system, the adaptive subsystem, so that we will adopt more new ideas to the change of disturbant environment.

  • The ERP system comes to existence in the period of change. In other words, the ERP system is adopted to the company with BPR project. In general, the ERP system is introduced to companies as packages rather than in-housing systems. There are several researches in IS literatures which have a conclusion that organizational context affects the performance of ERP system. This study attempts to review the organizational context from the prospective of organizational structure and change management. Regarding the organizational structure, we choose some widely known variables such as the degree of formalization and centralization. For the analysis of change management, we set the variables, which are the most importantly considered, such as the power of CEO's promotion and user participation. The extent of customizing is introduced as moderating variables between the organizational context and the implementation performance. With collected data, we performed the reliability test, the factor analysis and the regression analysis. In summary, the introduction of an information system such as ERP system has a behavioral and organizational impact. The organizational change may breed resistance and opposition and can lead to the failure of the system. Therefore, implementation of the system requires careful change management, active involvement of users and high level of management support.

Adaptive Queue Management Based On the Change Trend of Queue Size

  • Most active queue management algorithms manage network congestion based on the size of the queue but ignore the network environment which makes queue size change. It seriously affects the response speed of the algorithm. In this paper, a new AQM algorithm named CT-AQM (Change Trend-Adaptive Queue Management) is proposed. CT-AQM predicts the change trend of queue size in the soon future based on the change rate of queue size and the network environment, and optimizes its dropping function. Simulation results indicate that CT-AQM scheme has a significant improvement in loss-rate and throughput.

  • Change orders represent one of the largest sources of cost growth on construction projects, but an efficient change management control system can help the projects steer clear of the constant construction changes. This study was performed to achieve a better understanding of all changes and to develop a new set of Best Practices using process mapping techniques. The project data for this research were collected from case studies of aviation projects implemented in Houston, Texas at Bush Intercontinental Airport. The findings and contributions of this research should help owners and project managers determine and identify major causes that impact project budget and schedule and implement solutions prior to them surfacing.
