  • Equinechorionic gonadotropin(eCG) is a member of the glycoprotein hormone family which includes FSH, hCG, TSH. These hormone family is characterized by a heterodimeric structure composed a common α-subunit noncovalently linked to a hormone specific β-subunit. To determine a and β-subunits can be synthesized as a single polypeptide chain (tethered-eCG) and also display biological activity, the tethered-molecule by fusing the carboxyl terminus of the eCG β-subunit to the amino terminus of the α-subunit was constructed and transfected into chinese hamster ovary (CHO-K1) cells.   • Supply chain management and e-procurement system built in the company, are set goal of internal process improvement. This paper show how SLV(Supplier Lifetime Value) can be used to structure the supplier in automotive part manufacturer, the method of selection is described and a detailed example of how SLV can be used and allocation of order Quantity for the selected suppliers also are provided, and aims at giving a method to realization profitable supplier relation using search for SL V system development which is making corporation with supplier, in the favor of decision supplier.

공급사슬경영에 있어서의 납기 회신 시스템 (An ATP Quotation System in Supply Chain Management)

  • The accurate quotation of Available-To-Promise (ATP) plays a very important role in enhancing customer satisfaction and fill rate maximization. However, the complexity of Supply Chain structure, which includes all the linkages among procurement, production, and distribution, makes the accurate quotation of ATP be a quite difficult job. This paper presents a computerized ATP quotation system in global SCM environments where the worldwide headquarter, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities are globally networked. We modeled the ATP quotation processes with the definition of required data flow and a comprehensive ATP-algorithm was newly developed. The illustrative example shows the efficiency of the proposed system is largely affected by the selection of alternative rules used in ATP-algorithm.

  • In this study we determine the structure of m-adic residue codes over the non-chain ring $F_q[v]/(v^2-v)$ and present some promising examples of such codes that have optimal parameters with respect to Griesmer Bound. Further, we show that the generators of m-adic residue codes serve as a natural and suitable application for generating reversible DNA codes via a special automorphism and sets over $F_{4^{2k}}[v]/(v^2-v)$.

  • We consider a reverse supply chain with a production facility and a recovery facility, and address the joint control of production and disposal decisions for sustainable operations. Demands are satisfied from on-hand inventory of serviceable products, replenished via manufacturing or remanufacturing. Sold products may be returned after usage and each returned product is disposed of or accepted for recovery. Accepted returned products are converted into serviceable products after remanufacturing process. Formulating the model as a Markov decision process, we characterized the structure of the optimal production and disposal policy as two monotone switching curves under a special condition. Three types of heuristic policies are presented and their performance is numerically compared.

  • New anionic oligomeric surfactants, sodium bis(alkyl decaoxyethylene) sulfonated succinates, had been synthesized through the addition reaction of sodium hydrogen sulfite to bis(alkyl decaoxyethylene) maleates. Bis(alkyl decaoxyethylene) maleates were obtained by esterification with maleic anhydride and long chain alkyl decaoxyethylene ethers which were also obtained by addition ethylene oxide 10 mole to straight long chain alcohol with alkyl group having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms, their structure of the synthetic compounds have been characterized with IR. $^{1}H$ NMR and elemental analysis respectively.

  • Redox-dependent conformational change of human 8-kDa Dynein light chain (LC8) plays important role in regulating NF-${\kappa}B$ signaling pathway. In this study we characterized the structural states of the oxidized and reduced forms of LC8 by using NMR spectroscopy. The $^1H-^{15}N$ 2D HSQC spectra of oxidized LC8 indicated that no significant change in tertiary structure of LC8 occurred upon oxidation. The chemical shift perturbations of LC8 upon oxidation suggest a redox-dependent quaternary structural change.

Nanoscale Islands of the Self Assembled Monolayer of Alkanethiol

  • Molecular dynamics simulations were performed to study the structure and stability of a nanoscale self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of alkanethiol on a gold (111) surface. The tilt angle and orientational order of the alkyl chains in the SAM island were examined by systematically varying the size of the island. The chain length dependence of the SAM island was examined by considering alkanethiols containing 12, 16, 20, and 24 carbon atoms. The minimum diameter of SAM islands made from 1-tetracosanethiol, 1-ecosanethiol, 1-hexadecanethiol and 1-dodecanethiol were 2.29, 1.9, 4.7 and 4.76 nm, respectively. These set the ultimate resolution that can be patterned by soft nanolithography. As the length of alkanethiol increases, the SAM islands became more ordered in both orientation and conformation of the alkyl chains.

Comparison of Effects of Ultraviolet and $^{60}$ Co Gamma Ray Irradiation on Nylon 6 Mono-filaments

  • The effect of UV and $^60{Co}$ gamma radiations on the physical and mechanical properties of nylon 6 mono-filaments with different draw ratios has been studied. Specimens were exposed to either up to 25 Mrad of gamma or up to 168 hrs of intense UV irradiation. The results show that nylon mono-filaments exposed to gamma rays, with much higher quantum energy than UV, undergo a larger extent of molecular chain scission. Higher irradiation dose also results in the production of insoluble, macroscopic three-dimensional cross-linked network structure. The amorphous regions with a lower density of cohesive energy (lower molecular orientation) show a higher extent of cross linking reaction whereas amorphous regions with a higher density of cohesive energy (higher orientation) show higher extent of chain scission reaction, irrespective of UV ray or gamma ray irradiation.

  • We propose a new method to achieve well-defined surface properties of the polymeric gate dielectrics without using SAM technique and inserting another organic/inorganic buffer layer. Pentacene thin film transistors(OTFTs) fabricated with the polyimide gate insulators with different side chain structures were demonstrated. Further, a relationship between the surface properties (surface morphology, surface energy, etc) of the films and the performance of OTFTs have investigated, which will be given in more detail in presentation.
