교통사고로 인한 편타손상 후 경추 만곡의 변화 연구 (The Change of the Cervical Spine Curvature after Whiplash Injury by Traffic Accident)

  • Objectives: To investigate the change of the cervical spine curvature after whiplash injury. Methods: Clinical study carried out in 46 patients who already had neck pain and took a cervical lateral X-Ray in Jaseng Oriental hospital. these patients had whiplash injury whitin one year. We followed up the cervical lateral X-Ray after that. Cervical spine curvature was measured using four measuring method. Type of cervical spine curvature was analyzed by Jochumsen method, Ishihara Index. T-test was used. Results: By Jackson's Angle and Cobb's angle, it is tend to be more Iordotic curvature after whiplash injury. In Jochumsen method, Ishihara Index the cervical spine curvature was significantly increased their Iordotic angle(P<0.05). Conclusion: The results suggest that after whiplash injury, patients cervical curvature change more Iordortic curve.

경항통을 호소하는 환자들의 경추 만곡에 따른 통증 및 피로도 비교 연구 (The Study of Comparison about Pain and Fatigue according to Cervical Spine Curvature of Patient with Neck Pain)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare about quantity of pain and fatigue according to cervical spine curvature of patient with neck pain. Methods : Cervical spine curvature was measured using the sagittal radiography of the cervical spine, neck pain was evaluated using the VAS and neck fatigue was evaluated using fatigue symptom checklist. Based on four line Cobb's method, 51 subjects were divided into hypolordosis group, normal group, hyperlordosis group. Window version SPSS 12K was used for statistical analysis about relation between pain and cervical spine curvature of each group, also about between fatigue and cervical spine curvature of each group. Results : 1. A significant difference was not found between pain and cervical curvature of each group. 2. A significant difference was not found between fatigue and cervical curvature of each group. Conclusions : There was no relation between pain and cervical curvature of each group, also fatigue and cervical curvature.

경항통과 경추 만곡도의 상관성 고찰 (The Relationship of Cervical Spine Curvature and Neck Pain)

  • Objectives : To investigate and compare the curvature of the cervical spine for the neck pain patients and asymptomatic participants. Methods : Clinical study was carried out for 64 neck pain patients in Conmaul oriental hospital and 56 asymptomatic volunteers. Cervical spine curvature was measured by 7 types of measuring methods. Results : Curvature angles of the cervical spine were significantly lower in the patients group(p<0.05). In segmental analysis of curvature, segmental curvature of C3-C4 were significantly lower in the patients group. There is no significant relationship among the classifications by the types of cervical spine curvature in the 2 groups. Conclusions : The results suggest that the cervical spines of neck pain patients are straightened and kyphotic and most of cervical curvature decrease are occurred at middle cervical spine.

편타 손상 경항통 환자와 잠행성 경항통 환자의 경추 만곡 비교 (The comparison of Cervical Spine Curvature of the patients with whiplash and insidious onset neck pain)

  • Objectives : To investigate and compare the curvature of the cervical spine of the patients with whiplash and insidious onset neck pain. Method : Clinical study carried out in 33 insidious onset neck pain outpatients and 34 whiplash onset neck pain inpatients in Conmaul Oriental Hospital. Cervical spine curvature was measured using five measuring Methods. Type of cervical spine curvature was analyzed by Jochumsen method. Ishihara Index. T-test was used to compare the cervical spine angle of the two groups. Results : The prevalence of 'straight' and 'kyphotic' cervical spines was 46.5% in the insidious onset cases and 26.47% in the whiplash onset cases. In Jackson's angle, Jochumsen method, Ishihara Index, and Park's method, angle of the Cervical spine curvature was significantly lower in the insidious onset cases. (P<0.01) Conclusion : The results suggest that the cervical spine of neck pain patients is 'straight' and 'kyphotic' and more significant in insidious onset cases.

교통사고 후 한방병원에 입원한 일자목증후군 환자를 대상으로 한 진단방법의 비교 평가 및 경침사용의 유효성 연구 (The Study of Effectiveness of Wooden Pillow and Comparison Evaluation of diagnosis method on Straightening of Cervical Curvature Patient)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate various tools including C-spine X-ray for estimating cervical curvature and identify the effect of wooden pillow on patients diagnosed with straightening of cervical curvature. Methods : This study was carried out on 51 subjects who were encountered traffic accident suffering cervical pain and diagnosed with straightening of cervical curvature by X-ray. 51 subjects were divided into wooden pillow(experimental) group and conservative therapy(control) group. Visual analogue scale, neck disability index and lateral pictures were used and compared after treatment. C-spine AP., Lat. X-ray were used on admission day to calculate cervical curvature and scoliosis by various ways. Results : 4 different measurements of cervical curvature didn't show common results. Both wooden pillow(experimental) group and conservative therapy(control) group showed significant improvement in the visual analogue scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI) after hospital treatment. Comparison between center line pictured by lateral view and C-spine Lat. pictured by X-ray showed significant difference in cervical curvature. Lateral deviation of cervical vertebra showed lengthened distance between mastoid process and spinous process of C7. Conclusion : As a result of this research, I found out that various tools for calculating cervical lordosis could derive different results and C-spine AP., Lat X-ray could cause artificial cervical lordosis. According to visual analogue scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI) wooden pillow was not effective to reduce pain & disability caused by straightening of cervical curvature. Futhermore, correction effect of straightening of cervical curvature and scoliosis by wooden pillow was weak.

슬링 운동 프로그램이 머리전방자세의 근 활성도와 목뼈 배열에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Sling Exercise Program on Muscle Activity and Cervical Spine Curvature of Forward Head Posture)

  • 두부 전방 자세(FHP)는 머리와 목의 비정상적 자세로부터 기인한다. 이 자세에서는 깊은목굴곡근과 날개뼈 당김근이 약화되고 목 신전근과 가슴근은 짧아진다. 이 연구의 목적은 슬링운동이 두부전방자세의 근 활성도와 경추배열에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위함이다. 실험은 25명의 학생에게 적용되었고 슬링 운동군과 대조군으로 나누었다. 근 수행력과 목뼈 배열을 위해 주 2회 4주간 운동을 실시하였다. 두부전방자세의 측정 요소로는 CVA, CRA, 근활성도, 경추 배열이 있다. 경추 배열에는 두개수직각도, 두 개경추각도, 경추수평각도, 상위경추각도를 측정하였다. 수집된 자료로 SPSS 10.0을 이용해 통계를 분석하였다. 4주간 운동 후 결과는 다음과 같다 : CVA의 양 그룹 간에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 실험군에서 근활성도는 크게 증가하였으나 경추 배열에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이러한 결과에 따라, 우리는 슬링 운동과 근활성도, CVA, CRA 사이에 유의한 상관이 있다는 것을 발견했다.

교통사고 후 응급실에 내원한 경항통 환자의 경추 만곡 연구 (The Cervical Spine Curvature of Posterior Neck Pain Patients Who Visited Emergency Room After Whiplash Injury by Traffic Accident)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the cervical spine curvature after whiplash injury by traffic accident. Methods : The cervical lateral radiographs of 102 outpatients who visited emergency room in Kyung-Hee university hospital at Gangdong after whiplash injury by road traffic accident were reviewed to measure the cervical spine angle using C1-7, C2-7 Cobb method, Sagittal tangent method, Jochumsen method and the Ishihara index by two oriental medical doctors. For statistics, we used SPSS version 17.0 for windows. Results : Means of cervical angle are $37.63{\pm}11.34^{\circ}$, $12.92{\pm}9.13^{\circ}$, $16.19{\pm}10.62^{\circ}$, $1.78{\pm}3.37$ and $8.51{\pm}9.78$ by C1-C7 Cobb Method, C2-C7 Cobb Method, Sagittal tangent method, Jochumsen method and Ishihara index, respectively. Hypolordosis is most numeral in patients by C1-C7 Cobb Method(n=40; 39.22%), Sagittal tangent method(n=68; 66.67%). And Straight is the most by Jochumsen method(n=54; 52.94%), but Normal is the most by Ishihara index(n=53; 51.96%). And Female has smaller curvature in cervical spine than male significantly by C2-C7 Cobb method and Sagittal tangent method(P<0.05). Conclusions : Whiplash injury tends to make hypolordosis or straight. And female has more vulnerable curvature than male in whiplash injury.

대학생들의 경추의 전만 각도에 대한 고찰 (Radiologic Analysis of Cervical Lordosis for University Students)

  • Objectives To measure and analyze the curvature of the cervical spine for university students. Methods This study carried out on 132 students. The cervical spine curvature was measured by six measuring methods. The type and numeric value of cervical spine curvature was analyzed by Angle of cervical curve (C1~C7), Angle of cervical curve (C2~C7), Jackson's angle, Ishihara Index, Depth of cervical curve and Method of Jochumsen. Cervical spine curvatures between male and female are compared by Mann-Whitney test. Rate of type of cervical curvature between male and female are compared by linear by linear association. Results 1. The average of angle of cervical curve (C1~C7) is $33.78{\pm}9.85^{\circ}$, angle of cervical curve (C2~C7) is $10.28{\pm}8.12^{\circ}$. The average of Jackson's angle is $14.02{\pm}10.01^{\circ}$, average of Ishihara Index is $8.46{\pm}10.58%$. The average of Depth of cervical curve is $5.15{\pm}4.72mm$ and average of Method of Jochumsen is $0.94{\pm}3.83mm$. 2. More than half of student's cervical curvature showed hypolordosis except Ishihara index. 3. There was significant difference in numeric value of cervical curvature between male and female both groups in terms of Ishihara index. 4. There were insignificant differences between male and female in terms of type of cervical curvature. Conclusions According to above results, we found out average of student's cervical curve. And the results suggest that most of the student's cervical curvature decrease.

척추 측만증 환자에서의 척추 만곡과 경추 및 요추 전만각, Ferguson각의 상관관계에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Relationship Scoliotic Curve and Cervical Lordosis, Lumar Lordosis and Ferguson Angle in Spinal Scoliosis Patient)

  • Objectives : This study is designed to find out the relationship of scoliotic curve, cervical lordosis, lumbar lordosis and Ferguson's angle. Method : The study was composed of 46 scoliosis patients who had single curvature(Group I) on their lumbar spine(Group I-A) or thoracic spine(Group I-B) and 38 patients who had double curvature(Group II) on their lumbar and thoracic spine. The patients were evaluated with X-ray findings of full spine AP and Lateral views and statistically analyzed. Results : 1. Group II showed a significant increase in scoliotic curve angle as compared with Group I(P<0.05). 2. Scoliotic curve has a negative relationship with cervical lordosis in group II. Conclusion : 1. The patients who has double curvature of spine had higher scoliotic curve angle compared with who has single curvature. 2. The Scoliotic curve and cervical lordosis was statistically concerned on patients who has double curvature of spine.

경추 후만에 대한 낙차 교정기법을 이용한 추나치료 치험례 (The Case Report of Chuna Treatment using Drop Table on Neck Pain Patients with Kyphotic Cervical Curvature)

  • Objectives: This study is performed to evaluate the clinical effect of chuna therapy on the neck pain associated with kyphotic cervical curvature. Methods: This study carried out on three patients with neck pain & kyphotic cervical curvature who have received treatment in Depar1ment of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, Daejon Oriental Hospital of Daejon University from 28th July 2006 to 3th November 2006. Pre and post treatment, We evaluated the cervical angle, Jackson's angle, Jochumsen method, Ishihara index, VAS and effective score of treatment. Results & Conclusions: Two patients who received Chuna treatment recovered cervical curvature and improved neck pain. But One patient who dosen't received Chuna treatment was no improvement in cervical curvature & neck pain.
