VARTM 공정을 이용한 유리/탄소섬유 하이브리드 복합체의 특성 (Characteristics of Glass/Carbon Fiber Hybrid Composite Using by VARTM)

  • In VARTM (Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding) process, the permeability generally controls the filling time of the resin and it also affects the void characteristics of the fiber composite. In this study, carbon and glass fiber inter-layered hybrid composites (carbon fiber centered stack) with an epoxy matrix were fabricated by VARTM process and evaluated the resin flow and macro void characteristics. The permeability of glass fiber was higher than that of carbon fiber used in this study. Using Darcy's equation, the permeability of hybrid composites could be predicted and experimentally confirmed. After curing, the macro void content of hybrid composites was investigated using image analyzer. The calculated filling time was well agreed with experimental result and the void content was significantly changed in hybrid composites.

  • 에폭시계 탄소섬유복합재는 고유의 높은 취성특성으로 인해 산업 응용에 적합성에 한계로 인성 특성을 향상시키기 위한 광범위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 최소 함량을 활용하는 데 중점을 두고 PA6입자(pPA6)와 CTBN에 의한 인성 메커니즘을 평가하는 데 초점을 맞춰 Mode I 파단 인성 및 인장강도 분석을 통해 다양한 농도의 p-PA6와 CTBN 첨가제, 즉 0.5, 1, 2.5 및 5 phr의 영향을 평가하였다. p-PA6는 1 phr의 비교적 낮은 비율에서 인성이 강화되었으며, 인장강도를 유지하면서 동시에 향상된 인성에 기여하는 지속적인 파단 거동으로 나타났다. 또한, p-PA6의 입자 응집에 영향에 의해 전체적인 인성 메커니즘에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. CTBN 첨가는 2.5 phr 이상의 높은 농도에서 인성의 증가하나, 인장강도의 감소를 동반하고 취성을 나타내는 기존의 복합재와 유사한 파단 거동을 관찰하였으며, p-PA6, CTBN 두 첨가 기술은 특정 농도 조건에서 인장강도를 미세하게 향상시키는 것으로 확인하였다. 해당 결과를 통해 p-PA6, CTBN 강화 기술 적용에 최적화된 조건이 확립하였다.

  • The advanced piezoelectric ceramic composite actuator, which is called LIPCA with the FRP and the optimization of the laminate configuration, was performed to maximize the stress transfer and the fiber bridging effect. This study evaluated the effect of variable electric fields on the PZT characteristic, laminate configuration and fatigue characteristics under the resonance frequency, which meant the largest performance range and the changes of its interlaminar phase were also evaluated by stages. In conclusions, Comparing with the fatigue lift of intact LIPCA, the fatigue life of LIPCA embedded by the artificial delamination was decreased up to 50%. The micro void growth and the coalescence of epoxy were actively made at the interlaminar phase subject to the large tensile stress.

CCD카메라를 이용한 수종 전부도재관의 변연적합도에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE MARGINAL FIT OF ALL-CERAMIC CROWNS USING CCD CAMERA)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate marginal fit of four all-ceramic crown systems 1) conventional In-Ceram, 2) copy-milled In-Ceram using Celay system, 3) IPS Empress, 4) OPC(Optimal Pressable Ceramic). All ceramic crowns were made on epoxy dies. The fabricated crowns were sandblasted, cleaned with ultrasonic cleansing, silanated, and cemented with Bistite composite resin cement. the selected marginal areas of the crowns were the labial, lingual, mesial, and distal surface. Each selected area of surface was $0.6{\times}1.6mm$ in dimension. The image of each marginal area was captured to computer files using DT-55 Frame Grabber and light microscope connected CCD camera. The marginal gaps were measured every $70{\mu}m$ using computer image analysis program. The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. The marginal fit of four all-ceramic crowns were significantly different from each other(p<0.01), and mean marginal fit values obtained were $31.42{\pm}16.52{\mu}m$ in conventional In-Ceram, $55.45{\pm}27.90{\mu}m$ in copy-milled In-Ceram using Celay system, $44.36{\pm}24.59{\mu}m$ in IPS Empress, $47.21{\pm}20.42{\mu}m$ in OPC. 2. In the marginal fit of conventional In-Ceraw and copy-milled In-Ceram crowns using Celay system there was no significant difference between mesiodistal and buccolingual surface, but in the marginal fit of IPS Empress and OPC crowns, there was significant difference between mesiodistal and buccolingual surface(p<0.01). 3. The marginal fit of four kinds of all-ceramic crowns was clinically acceptable.

Fracture resistance of CAD-CAM all-ceramic surveyed crowns with different occlusal rest seat designs

  • Purpose. To investigate the fracture resistance of monolithic CAD-CAM all-ceramic surveyed crowns with two different occlusal rest seat designs. Materials and Methods. Two maxillary first premolar were prepared for all-ceramic surveyed crowns with wide (2/3rd of buccolingual width of an unprepared tooth) or narrow (1/3rd of buccolingual width of an unprepared tooth) disto-occlusal rest seat (ORS) designs. Eighty monolithic CAD-CAM all-ceramic surveyed crowns were prepared and divided into 4 groups - Group CR, Composite resin material as a control; Group LDS, Lithium disilicate based material; Group ZIPS, zirconia-material (IPS ZirCAD); and Group ZLHT, zirconia- material (CeramillZolidht+). Crowns were cemented on an epoxy resin die with adhesive resin cement. The fracture resistance of crowns was tested with the universal machine. Univariate regression analysis was used. Results. The mean ± standard deviation of maximum failure force values varied from 3476.10 ± 285.97 N for the narrow ORS subgroup of group ZIPS to 687.89 ± 167.63 N for the wide ORS subgroup of group CR. The mean ± standard deviation of maximum force was 1075 ± 77.0 N for group CR, 1309.3 ± 283.9 N for group LDS, 3476.1 ± 285.97 N for group ZIPS, and 2666.7 ± 228.21 N for group ZLHT, with narrow occlusal rest seat design. The results of the intergroup comparison showed significant differences in fracture strength with various material groups and occlusal rest seat designs (P<.001). Conclusion. The zirconia-based all-ceramic surveyed crowns fractured at more than double the load of Lithium disilicate based crowns. The crowns with narrow base occlusal rest seat design had statistically significantly higher fracture resistance than surveyed crowns with wide occlusal rest seat design. The use of narrow occlusal rest seat design in CAD-CAM all ceramic surveyed crowns provides higher fracture resistance, and therefore narrow occlusal rest design can be used for providing esthetics with high strength.

비회 운송용 유리섬유 복합관 개발 (Development of Composite Fly Ash Pipe)

  • The majority of fly ash pipes in thermal power stations use steel pipes. This makes frequent replacement inevitable due to severe abrasion near the hot and curved section of pipes. Recently, there have been efforts to prevent this abrasion with lining techniques using ceramic or basalt on the inner wall of the pipe. This study uses composite and anti-wear material to maximize the anti-abrasion effects on the hot section of the pipe. The thickness of the abrasion layer was determined by the abrasion ratio of material found through the experiment; the thickness of the reinforcement layer was determined by micromechanics. Experiments were conducted on epoxy resins to test for heat and abrasion. Anti-abrasion test using particle impingement was intended to recreate realistic conditions when abrasion occurs within the hot section of an actual pipe. This study analyzes the abrasion ratio obtained from both the specimen experiment and from on-site measurement and provides evidence that a combination of composites and anti-wear agent can be used to create a fly ash pipe that is lower in costs and higher in quality than what is used currently.

연자성 복합체 후막용 슬러리 제조공정의 최적화 (Optimization of Slurry Preparation Process for Soft Magnetic Green Sheet)

  • With high integration of electronic components, power inductors are also miniaturized. Recently, thick film processes for small size power inductors were developed and commercialized. However, the thick film process to prepare soft magnetic green sheets was not reported enough. In this study, we used Fe-Si magnetic and CIP (carbonyl iron powders) as starting materials to lead to a bimodal particle size distribution in the sheet. We proposed a newly developed 'Modified slurry preparation process' to get well dispersed condition even at high solid contents. Using the new process, it was possible to prepare a well dispersed slurry over 70 vol% of solid. BYK-103 was better than BYK-111 as dispersant in this slurry and the optimum amount was 0.6 wt%. The optimized slurry was formed into a sheet by tape casting process and then the sheet was laminated. We conformed that small size powder, large size powder, and epoxy resin were well dispersed in the green sheet.

  • 이 연구에서는 근역장 통신(NFC)용 소재로 응용하기 위해, MnZn 페라이트와 FeSi 합금 분말을 filler로 사용하여 제조한 0-3형 자성복합소재의 복소투자율 변화(1 MHz~1 GHz)를 측정하였으며, RFID 주파수(13.56 MHz)에서의 복소투자율 값을 검토한 결과, filler 함량에 따라 투자율 실수항은 증가하고 허수항은 감소하는 결과를 얻었다. 즉, 시트형 자성복합소재의 응용을 위한 연구 결과로서, 고투자율을 나타내면서 손실항인 허수항을 상대적으로 낮출 수 있는 소재 제조공정 기술을 확보할 수 있었으며, 복소투자율 변화는 자성분말 filler의 성분과 입자 형태, 그리고 polymer 종류에 의존함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 섬유체적비에 따라 복합재료의 기계적 열적 특성이 크게 달라지기 때문에, 복합재료 설계시 섬유체적비를 올바르게 측정하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 일반적으로 섬유체적비를 측정하는 여러 방법은 산화되지 않는 유리섬유나 세라믹섬유를 사용한 복합재료의 경우에는 적합하고 효율적이다. 하지만 산화현상이 있는 탄소섬유의 경우에는 산화 방법과 조건에 따라서 다른 결과를 가져오게 되며 그러므로 올바른 섬유체적비를 측정이 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 Thermogravimetric analysis를 수행하여 산화되는 탄소섬유의 질량 감소량을 보정하여 탄소섬유 복합재료의 섬유체적비를 측정하였고 현미경 단면 이미지를 이용하여 그 결과를 검증하였다.

  • 에너지 수확장치는 석유자원의 고갈로 인한 자원난을 해결할 수 있는 대안으로 유망하다고 알려져 있다. 기계적 움직임을 전기 에너지로 전환할 수 있는 압전 소자들의 한계(환경오염 및 낮은 기계적 특성)를 극복하기 위하여, 고분자 기지재 기반 복합재료 압전 에너지 수확장치에 대한 많은 연구들이 수행되었다. 본 논문에서는 사용된 재료 및 공정에 기초하여, 보고된 압전 복합재료의 출력 성능 및 관련된 응용 분야를 검토하였다. 압전 필러는 티탄산 지르콘산 연 및 티탄산바륨 기반의 세라믹 필러뿐만 아니라, 친환경, 생체적합성 및 유연성 측면에서 유리한 산화아연을 검토하였다. 기지재는 폴리비닐리덴플로오라이드 및 공중합체로 구성된 압전 고분자 및 에폭시 및 폴리디메틸실록산 기반의 유연한 고분자로 분류하여 복합재료의 압전 시너지 및 높은 외력 적용에 의한 압전 출력 향상을 논의하였다. 또한, 금속 혹은 탄소 소재 기반 2차 필러의 적용에 의한 복합재료의 전도성 혹은 기계적 특성의 향상이 압전 수확장치의 출력 성능에 미치는 영향을 복합재료의 구조 측면에서 검토하였다. 향상된 성능으로 소형 전자기기, 스마트 센서, 의학 분야 등에 응용 가능한 복합재료 기반 압전 수확장치는 미래의 일상에서 접할 수 있는 무선 전자 장치의 전원으로써 잠재적인 통찰을 제공할 수 있다.
