발목관절 근력과 관절위치감각, 그리고 균형능력에 미치는 고유수용성 신경근 촉진법 중재와 테이핑 중재 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of the Effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation and Taping Interventions on Balance Ability, Joint Position Sense, and Ankle Joint Strength)

  • Purpose: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and taping interventions on balance ability, joint position sense, and ankle joint strength. Methods: Thirty subjects who had experienced an ankle sprain within the previous 3 months participated in this study. The subjects were randomly assigned to a PNF group (n=15) or a taping group (n=15). Before and after the interventions, ankle dorsi-flexion and plantar-flexion strength, joint position error, and total center of pressure movements in one leg while in a standing position were measured. Results: Regardless of the group allocation, ankle dorsi-flexion and plantar-flexion strength significantly improved after the interventions (p<0.05). Compared to preintervention measurements, joint position errors were significantly reduced postintervention (p<0.05). The PNF intervention significantly decreased the total lateral movement of the center of pressure in the one leg standing condition (p<0.05). Conclusion: Both PNF and taping interventions improved joint position sense and ankle joint strength. In common with the findings of a previous study, the PNF intervention improved balance ability. Further study is required to investigate the effects of various PNF and taping interventions on ankle performance in subjects with chronic ankle sprains.

클린 튜브 시스템에서 웨이퍼의 위치 인식 및 정지 제어 (Wafer Position Sensing and Control in the Clean Tube System)

  • The clean tube system was developed as a means of transferring air-floated wafers inside a closed tube filled with super clean air. This paper presents a wafer position sensing method in the clean tube system, where the photo proximity sensors are used. The first presented method uses the two positions sensed lately in order to compute the wafer center position. The next method uses the latest sensed position and the next latest position compensated with the information of the wafer velocity. The third method uses the kalman filter, which enable us to use all the previous sensing information. The simulation results are compared to show results of the presented method. In addition, the paper presents a control method to stop the wafer at the center of the unit in the clean tube system. The experimental clean tube system worked successfully with the applying the both presented methods of sensing and control.

MULTI-SENSOR DATA FUSION FOR FUTURE TELEMATICS APPLICATION

  • In this paper, we present multi-sensor data fusion for telematics application. Successful telematics can be realized through the integration of navigation and spatial information. The well-determined acquisition of vehicle's position plays a vital role in application service. The development of GPS is used to provide the navigation data, but the performance is limited in areas where poor satellite visibility environment exists. Hence, multi-sensor fusion including IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), GPS(Global Positioning System), and DMI (Distance Measurement Indicator) is required to provide the vehicle's position to service provider and driver behind the wheel. The multi-sensor fusion is implemented via algorithm based on Kalman filtering technique. Navigation accuracy can be enhanced using this filtering approach. For the verification of fusion approach, land vehicle test was performed and the results were discussed. Results showed that the horizontal position errors were suppressed around 1 meter level accuracy under simulated non-GPS availability environment. Under normal GPS environment, the horizontal position errors were under 40㎝ in curve trajectory and 27㎝ in linear trajectory, which are definitely depending on vehicular dynamics.

연료 및 공기 노즐 위치와 공기 유량 변화에 따른 MILD 연소 특성에 관한 해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study of the Combustion Characteristics in a MILD Combustor with the Change of the Fuel and Air Nozzle Position and Air Mass Flow Rate)

  • 연소과정 중에 발생하는 질소산화물을 저감하는 기술인 MILD 연소에 대하여 연료노즐과 공기노즐의 위치와 공기유량을 변화하면서 나타나는 연소특성을 수치해석을 통하여 연구하였다. 본 연구의 MILD 연소로는 연료노즐과 공기 노즐 사이에 연소배기가스의 배출구가 있는 연소로를 이용하였다. 공기노즐은 8개, 연료노즐은 4개를 사용하였다. 연료노즐이 연소로 중앙 부근에 위치한 연소로의 경우에 공기유량이 적을 때는 연소반응대가 연료노즐에서부터 연소로 벽면으로 치우치게 되지만 공기유량이 커지면 연소반응대가 연료노즐 측에서 시작하여 연료노즐 상부로 형성된다. 공기노즐이 연소로 중앙부분에 위치한 경우에 공기유량이 적을 때는 연소반응대가 공기노즐 부근에서 시작하여 연소로 벽면으로 치우치지만 공기유량이 증가하면 연소반응대가 연료노즐 측으로 옮겨가게 된다. 두 가지 경우 모두 공기유량이 증가하면 연소반응대에서 최대온도가 증가하고 따라서 배기가스에서의 NOx 농도가 증가한다. 두 가지 노즐 위치에서의 NOx 생성을 비교해 보면 공기노즐이 연소로 중앙에 위치한 경우가 연료노즐이 연소로 중앙에 위치한 경우보다 NOx 농도가 현저히 적음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로부터 NOx 저감과 연료의 미연가스 배출을 감안할 때 공기노즐이 연소로 중앙에 위치하고 이론공기량에 해당하는 공기량을 분출할 때 NOx 생성에 가장 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

Initial Pole Position Estimation of Surface PM-LSM

  • The elimination of a pole sensor is desirable due to the low-cost requirement, the compactness, and the applied drives. This paper proposes the algorithm for the initial pole-position estimation of a surface permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PM-LSM), which is carried out under the closed loop control without a pole sensor and is insensitive to the motor parameters. This algorithm is based on the principle that the initial pole position (IPP) is estimated by the trigonometric function of the two reference currents. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is confirmed by testing a surface PM-LSM with large disturbance, which result shows that IPP is well estimated within a satisfied moving-distance and a shorter estimation taken-time even if large disturbance such as cogging and friction is existed.

Autonomous Sensor Center Position Calibration with Linear Laser-Vision Sensor

  • A linear laser-vision sensor called ‘Perception TriCam Contour' is mounted on an industrial robot and often used for various application of the robot such as the position correction and the inspection of a part. In this paper, a sensor center position calibration is presented for the most accurate use of the robot-Perceptron system. The obtained algorithm is suitable for on-site calibration in an industrial application environment. The calibration algorithm requires the joint sensor readings, and the Perceptron sensor measurements on a specially devised jig which is essential for this calibration process. The algorithm is implemented on the Hyundai 7602 AP robot, and Perceptron's measurement accuracy is increased up to less than 1.4mm.

  • Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) is a novel technique to maintain proximal arterial pressure. It is important to locate the balloon catheter correctly in performing REBOA but it is inaccurate to check the catheter position by external measurement. Even if the position of the catheter is initially confirmed by X-ray, it is difficult to determine the location of the catheter that changes according to various situations. We performed REBOA under real-time fluoroscopy and could maintain the catheter in correct position under various situations.

QFT를 이용한 냉간 압연시스템의 변위유도형 웹 위치제어 (Displacement-Type Web Position Control of Cold Mills Using QFT)

  • A new displacement type web position control system for cold mills using QFT is presented. The control system features an inner-outer cascaded system in which the inner loop provides the position tracking control of the hydraulic system and the outer loop provides the position regulation control of the web. By the sensitivity analysis and computer simulation, it is verified that the proposed control system has better robust stability and performance than the conventional control system.

  • We have developed a position-sensitive proton recoil telescope (PSPRT) which employs a position-sensitive photomultiplier (PS-PMT) and a scintillator for both a radiator and a proton-detector. This system is expected to achieve high energy resolution under a large solid angle, because it enables to obtain the information not only on the proton energy but also the recoil angle from the position data for both detectors. The response of the PSPRT for 14.1 MeV mono-energetic neutrons was measured, and the PSPRT proved to be operating as expected.

급성호흡부전증후군에서 Prone Position의 호흡 및 혈류역학적 효과 (The Respiratory and Hemodynamic Effect of Prone Position in Patients with ARDS)

  • 배 경 : 급성호흡부전증후군에서 배측 폐는 복측 폐에 비해 이환 정도가 심하여 기계호흡시 PEEP 사용에도 폐포 모집이 어려운 것이 알려져 있고 이러한 상태에서 prone position은 이환이 심한 배측 폐의 국소 환기를 향상시키고 동맥혈산소분압의 호전을 가져온다는 보고들이 있으나 아직 prone position 의 호흡생리학적 효과나 혈류역학적 효과가 완전히 정립되지 않았다. 방 법 : 급성폐손상 점수 평균 2.5 이상인 ARDS 환자 23명(남 : 여 =11 : 12, 연령 $62.1{\pm}20.8$세)을 대상으로 먼저 supine position에서 호흡 지표로 동맥혈가스분석, 총호흡기계 정적 탄성과 혈류역학적 지표로 평균 동맥압, 분당 심박수 등을 얻은 뒤 prone position으로 전환하였다. Prone position 5분에 동일한 혈류역학적 지표, 0.5 및 2시간에 호흡 지표를 얻었으며, 2시간까지의 $PaO_2/FIO_2$ 비가 supine position에 비해 20mmHg 이상 증가한 경우를 양성 호흡반응, prone 5분의 평균동맥압이 supine position에 비해 10mmHg이상 증가한 경우를 양성 혈류역학적반응으로 각각 정의하였다. 결과 : 1. 양성 호흡반응 대상 ARDS 환자 중 65%(15/23)가 양성 호흡반응을 보였고 양성 반응자는 비반응자에 비해 연령, 남녀비, ARDS 유발 원인, supine position에서의 $PaO_2/FIO_2$비, Cst, rs 등은 차이가 없었으나 평균동맥압이 더 높고($91.1{\pm}13.1mmHg$ vs. $76.0{\pm}18.7mmHg$, p=0.035), 생존율이 높은 경향을 보였다(9/15 vs. 2/8, p=0.074). 양성 호흡반응자의 supine, prone 0.5 및 2시간의 $PaO_2$는 각각 $69.8{\pm}17.6mmHg$, $83.2{\pm}22.6mmHg$, $96.8{\pm}22.7mmHg$(p<0.001), $PaO_2/FIO_2$비는 각각 $108.1{\pm}40.5mmHg$, $137.3{\pm}60.0mmHg$, $157.7{\pm}50.0mmHg$로 증가하였다(p=0.001). 2. 양성 혈류역학적반응 Prone position시 평균 동맥압이 10mmHg이상 증가한 경우는 22%(5/23)이었고 이 중 2명은 양성 호흡반응이 없는 환자였다. 양성 혈류역학적반응을 보인 환자와 보이지 않은 환자 사이에 기저 평균동맥압($77.1{\pm}11.1mmHg$, $89.8{\pm}16.6mmHg$, p=0.099)이나 supine position 에서의 PEEP 사용 수준 ($7.8{\pm}3.2cm$ $H_2O$, $8.6{\pm}3.5cm$ $H_2O$, p=0.188) 등은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결 론 : ARDS 환자에서 prone position은 폐산소화지표를 호전시키거나 평균동맥압을 상승시키며 양성 호흡반응 여부는 ARDS 발생 후 조기에 결정되는 것으로 추정되었다.
