  • Today we always can take a picture and enjoy it anywhere and anytime with a propagation of digital camera and camera phone. Even though the amount of digital picture content produced in every day life has been increasing, the way of enjoying it was just with phones or PC monitors. A small size screen of a cell phone and a desktop monitor are not suitable environment for enjoying digital picture, so the new market for digital photo frame has been opened. Until now, various kind of digital photo frames of many manufactures have been released for several years, but they have similar interaction way each other due to the limitation of their hardware specification so don't fill the intuitive mental model that users have about the product called a photo frame. Thus, this research aims to suggest an interaction way of digital photo frame providing with better usability and emotional satisfaction according to the spatial environment that it's located and users' behaviors.

  • Linear Algebra are arguably the most popular math subjects in colleges. We believe that students' learning and understanding of linear algebra can be improved substantially if we incorporate the latest advanced information technologies in our teaching. We found that the open source mathematics program 'Sage' (http://sagemath.org) can be a good candidate to achieve our goal of improving students' interest and learning of linear algebra. In particular, we developed a simple mobile content which is available for Sage commands on common cell phones in 2009. In this paper, we introduce the mobile Sage which contains many Sage functions on a smart-phone and the mobile linear algebra content model(lecture notes, and video lectures, problem solving, and CAS tools) and it will be useful to students for self-directed learning in college mathematics education.

  • Objective: This study was conducted to test the effects of mobile texting and gaming on gait with obstructions under different illumination levels. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Twelve healthy adults aged 20 to 36 years (mean 23.5 years) were tested under six different conditions. All participants used touchscreen smartphones. Testing conditions included: 1) Walking with an obstruction under a bright illumination level; 2) walking with an obstruction with a low level of illumination; 3) walking with an obstruction while texting under a bright illumination level; 4) walking with an obstruction while texting with a low level of illumination; 5) walking with an obstruction while gaming under a bright illumination level; and 6) walking with an obstruction while gaming with a low level of illumination. All participants were asked to text the Korean national anthem by their own phone and play Temple Run 2 using an iPhone 5. Gait variances were measured over a distance of 3 m, and the mean value after three trials was used. A gait analyzer was used to measure the data. Results: Compared to normal gait with obstruction, gait speed, step length, stride length, step time, stride time, cadence while texting and gaming showed significant differences (p<0.05). Differences between the illumination levels included gait speed, step length, stride length, and step time (p<0.05) with no significant differences in stride time and cadence. Conclusions: Dual-tasking using a smartphone under low levels of illumination lowers the quality of gait with obstructions.

  • This study investigated the effects of self concept on impulsive purchase and after-buying emotional response. For these purposes, researcher compared the impulsive purchasing and after-buying emotional response by socially independent-dependent groups in self concept. The results of present research were as follow: First, impulsive purchase led to high after-buying emotional response such as guilt, regret, happiness, but it did not in pride. non-impulsive purchase led to high pride. Second, socially independent self concept led high impulsive purchase. Third, socially independent self concept moderated the effect of impulsive buying on guilt, regret, happiness, but it did not in pride also. These results show that socially independent consumers in self concept purchase cell-phone impulsively and have high guilt, regret, happiness in after-buying emotion. But the low pride would be interpreted that they don't think their impulsive purchases desirable.

  • The government has the duty to prevent abuses of monopoly and promote competition in order to maximize consumer welfare. In order to promote competition we have to address the asymmetry in the information as possible and to ensure consumer choice. The subsidy seems to reduce the burden on the consumer service charges and handset prices but it virtually distort the market through price discrimination. The government caused the principal-agent problem by avoiding their appropriate role to prevent distortion of the mobile telecom market. The money used as subsidy could be transferred to down the price of cell phone and charges and it would be a benefit to consumers. Separate notice of subsidies by Mobile Communications Terminal Distribution Structure Improvement Act is a developed policy but it was too late. It, the market price close to that from perfect competition structure, is plausible, ultimately.

  • Internet accidents have skyrocketed every year. It always has been threatened by the methods such as hacking and Spyware. The majority of security accident is formed of the loss of authentication information, and the internal user who is not authorized. The importance of security is also emphasized when someone tries to do something accessing to the main information system. Accordingly, Biometrics has been used in many ways. OTP, however, must have a few devices accessing to several systems, and Biometrics involve some risk of mis-recognition rate and mis-denial rate. It also has the risk possible to access to the main information system when losing OTP. This research reduced risks about the loss as separating RFID leader for mobile, Tag and the accessor's cellular phone, and is about pseudo random validation key generated from the administration system through contact with RFID leader for mobile and Tag. As sending the key to user's cell phone which is already registered, security is strengthened more than existing connection methods through the ID and password. RFID for mobile not generalized to the present has been studied as a tool accessing to the main information system.

  • Direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs) are potential alternative power sources for portable devices such as cellular phone, personal digital assistants (PDA) and laptop computers. In this study, we developed the catalysts for great performance of fuel cell, and investigated their characteristics by using EDS and SEM. Pt-Pd catalysts showed uniform size and homogeneous distribution. As the content of palladium increased, the performance of DFAFC increased. Pd black showed the greatest performance among the five catalysts tested. Also, Pt-Pd (1:1) catalyst had an excellent maximum power density of $120mW/cm^2$. As the operating temperature increased, fuel cell performance was increased due to a reaction activity increases of catalyst. But, temperature had only a slight effect on the performance of fuel cell in the best activity range of membrane.
