This study was executed to evaluate adaptability of dentin bonding agents to dentinal wall with measuring contraction gap on interface between cavity wall and composite resin by SEM study. 6 kinds of dentin bonding agents were investigated for this study : Gluma, Super Bond C & B, All bond 2, Scotchbond multipurpose, Scotchbond 2 and Clearfil photo bond. 30 of fresh extracted teeth were randomly selected and divided into 6 groups with each 5. The round shaped cavities with 3mm dia. and 1.5mm depth were prepared on cementoenamel junction of buccal surface of teeth. Dentin bonding agents were applied to cavity wall and then the composite resin was filled in the cavity. Specimens were sectioned longitudinally on buccal surface. Sectioned aspects of specimens were impressioned with rubber base materials and finally precise replica were made of epoxy resin poured in negative impression. Contraction gaps were examined on interface between cavity wall and composite resin under condition of 200 and 2000 magnification of SEM. The results were as follows. 1. There were no gap on interface between enamel and composite resin in all specimens, but gaps were mainly exhibited on apical side of lateral wall of dentin of cavity. 2. In Gluma, 2 cases of 5 specimens exhibited excellent adaptation to the cavity wall, indicating no gaps on interface between cavity wall and composite resin. The other specimens showed gaps with range of $0{\sim}15{\mu}m$ width. 3. In Super Bond C & B, gaps with range of $0{\sim}10{\mu}m$ width were mainly exhibited on apical side of lateral wall of dentin of cavity. 4. In All bond 2, all specimens showed the most exellent adaptation to cavity wall when compared to the other materials, indicating no gap interface between cavity wall and composite resin. 5. In Scotchbond multipurpose, gaps with range of $0{\sim}10{\mu}m$ width were locally located on cavity wall. 6. In Scotchbond 2, all specimens showed great amount of gap with range of $5{\sim}25{\mu}m$, indicating the worst adaptation to cavity wall compared to the other materials. 7. In Clearfil photo bond, 2 case of 5 specimens exhibited exellent adaptation to cavity wall, indicating no gap. the other specimens showed gap with range of $0{\sim}15{\mu}m$ width on inferface between cavity wall and composite resin.

Curtain-wall systems have been widely applied to buildings because of their lightweight and constructability characteristics. However, as curtain-wall systems include many building materials, vapor barriers can become damaged and condensation can occur. Due to the material properties of stone curtain-walls, the external appearance and structure of a building could be damaged and the insulating performance of the curtain-wall could be worse. Natural ventilation using an air cavity in a curtain-wall is expected to be effective for the prevention of condensation in inner walls and for the reduction of building cooling energy use in the summer. The purpose of this experimental study is to analyze the influence of a ventilated cavity on the insulating performance of a curtain-wall and the ventilated cavity depth and ratio of top opening needed to prevent condensation in a curtain-wall.
Lack of technical standards, specification and inadequate execution in masonry wall construction in Korea lead to produce serious flaw problems such as crack, efflorescene, and upset etc.. The purpose of this paper is to present the practical details for Masonry cavity wall construction to prevent rain penetration and to accommodate differential movement between the inner and outer wythes of cavity walls. Considering rain penetration and differential movement of both wythes of cavity walls, provision of an adequate air space, an airtight back-up wall, clean cavity with weepholes and vents, properly positioned flashing, tie and shelf angle etc. depend on the cavity wall types will help ensure good performance. The present details included noncorrosive hot dip galvanized steel or stainless steel for metal components, plastic and ultra violet resistant polypropylene Copolymer for other components was taken into account the construction method and several types of cavity walls in Korea

This study was performed to investigate the behavior and spatial distribution of fuel mixtures with different wall angle and diameter of piston cavity in a DI gasoline engine. The spatial distribution of fuel mixtures after impingement of the spray against a piston cavity is one of the most important. factors for the stratification of fuel mixture. Thus, it is informative to understand in detail the behavior and spatial distribution of fuel mixtures after impingement in the cavity. Two dimensional spray fluorescence images of liquid and vapor phase were acquired to analyze the behavior and distribution of fuel mixtures inside cylinder by exciplex fluorescence method. The exciplex system of fluorobenzene/DEMA in non-fluorescing base fuel of hexane was employed. Cavity wall angle was defined as an exterior angle of piston cavity. Wall angles of the piston cavity were set to 30, 60 and 90 degrees, respectively. The spray impinges on the cavity and diffuses along the cavity wall by its momentum. In the case of 30 degrees, the rolling-up moved from the impinging location to the round and fuel-rich mixture distributed at periphery of cylinder. In the case of 60 and 90 degrees, the rolling-up recircurated in the cavity and fuel mixtures concentrated at center region. High concentrated fuel vapor phase was observed in the cavity with 90 degrees. From. present study, it was found that the desirable cavity wall angle with cavity diameter for stratification in a Dl gasoline engine was demonstrated.
The localization of cellulase were investigated in the capitate glandular trichomes of Pelargonium ${\times}$ fragransby a transmission electron microscopy. The secretory cells of capitate trichomes involved in biosynthesis and its secretion. Secretory material is transported to the space between the plasma membrane and cell wall, and subsequently accumulated in the secretory cavity. The splitting of secretory cell wall during the formation of secretory cavity is suggested that wall-forming enzymes, such as cellulase, may contribute to the wall separation process. Cellulase reaction product was localized in the secretory cell, the secretory cavity and in the subcuticular wall of glandular trichomes. Reaction products were present over fibrillar matrix in the secretory cavity associated with both the inner wall and the subcuticular wall.
In the present study a numerical simulation is performed on a natural convection inside a square cavity with a vibrating wall. The study has been conducted varying the heat transfer rate, wall excitation frequency and also the orientation of the cavity. The temperature and velocities inside the cavity was observed and also, the heat transfer coefficients on the heating wall was seen. From the results, it can be seen that the temperature inside the cavity decreases when excited with the proper frequency and the heat transfer coefficient increased with cavity inclination angle, ${\theta}$. It is also found from the results that flow resonance is occurred near the inclination angle ${\theta}=90^{\circ}$.
The purposes of this study were to examine the variability of adhesive thickness on the different site of the cavity wall when used total-etch system without filler and simplified self-etch system with filler and to evaluate the relationship between variable adhesive thickness and microtensile bond strength to the cavity wall. A class I cavity in six human molars was prepared to expose all dentinal walls. Three teeth were bonded with a filled adhesive, $Clearfil^{TM}$ SE bond ana the other three teeth were bonded with unfilled adhesives, $Scotchbond^{TM}$ Multi Purpose. Morphology and thickness of adhesive layer were examined using fluorescence microscope. Bonding agent thickness was measured at three points along the axial cavity wall edge of cavity margin (rim). halfway down each cavity wall (h1f), internal angle of the cavity (ang). After reproducing the adhesive thickness at rim, h1f and ang, micro-tensile bond strength were evaluated. For both bonding agents, adhesive thickness of ang was significantly thicker than that of rim and h1f (P <0.05). As reproduced the adhesive thickness, microtensile bond strength was increased as adhesive thickness was increased in two bonding agents. Adhesive thickness of internal angle of the cavity was significantly thicker than that of the cavity margin and the halfway cavity wall for both bonding agents. Microtensile bond strength of the thick adhesive layer at the internal angle of the cavity was higher than that of the thin adhesive layer at 1,he cavity margin and the halfway cavity in the two bonding systems.
Monoclonal antibody for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabiol (THC Ab), conjugated with protein A-gold, was employed as a probe to detect THC localization in the gland and subjacent cells of chemically fixed bracts of Cannabis. THC was detected in the outer wall of the disc cells, fibrillar matrix, the surface feature of secretory vesicles, and sheath throughout development of the secretory cavity. The probe was absent from vesicles. Label was also present in anticlinal walls of disc cells and walls of dermal and mesophyll cells. Little or no THC Ab was present in disc cells and none were detected in control tissues. This distribution pattern of THC Ab was similar to that in tissues prepared by high pressure cryofixation-cryosubstitution. Consistent association of THC with wall and wall-derived materials suggests that cannnabinoids are synthesized outside the plasma membrane and bound to a wall component, where-upon they are transported to the cavity with wall materials released from the disc cell wall during development of the secretory cavity.

Natural convection cooling of discrete heaters located in a two-dimensional vertical open top cavity is investigated experimentally. The five discrete heaters with same heat generation are located on the wall of the cavity. The heaters are arranged in two configurations; flush-mounted on a vertical wall and protruding from the wall about 4.5 mm. The materials used for the vertical walls are copper and epoxy-resin, and air is used as the cooling fluid. The temperature and flow fields in the cavity were visualized by means of Mach-Zehnder interferometer and smoke-method. Also, local temperature measurements are made along the vertical wall. Results are obtained for cavity aspect ratios of 4.6, 7.5 and 9.5 and modified Rayleigh numbers ranging from 10$^{3}$ to 10$^{6}$ . Results indicate that the cooling efficiency for the copper wall is superior to that of the epoxy-resin. For the epoxy-resin wall, the protrusion of the heaters plays a role in decreasing the heat transfer performance. The location of maximum temperature is significantly influenced by the wall materials and heater configurations. Correlations relating the Nusselt number to the modified Rayleigh number are proposed.

Investigations into cavity flows have been conducted for noise and vibration problems that arise in cavity systems. Cavity systems have been applied in engineering devices and have undergone rapid development in the aerospace industry. Meanwhile, to the author's best knowledge, the cavity on a curved wall has been seldom studied. The present work is conducted to study the flow physics of a cavity mounted on a curved wall. Numerical analysis is performed to investigate the cavity flow. Two variables of sub- and supersonic cavity flows were considered: the radius of curvature of the curved wall (L/R) and the inlet Mach number. The results show that the uniform vortex generated by the cavity flow on the curved wall stabilize the pressure fluctuation as time passes. As the inlet Mach number increases, the pressure fluctuation amplitude increases. The results obtained from the curved wall are compared with those from a straight wall using Rossiter's formula. The Strouhal number of the curved wall is lower than that of the straight wall. Lower Strouhal numbers have been obtained in the present computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results than in the theoretical results using Rossiter's formula.
