We present elemental abundances of 412 blue compact dwarf galaxies (BCDs) at z=0.2~0.5 using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) DR7. The gas-phase nitrogen to oxygen abundance ratios (N/O) of sample galaxies increase as the oxygen to hydrogen abundance ratios (O/H) decrease. This indicates that the nitrogen is more enriched than the oxygen. We found that there is a noticeable distinction between the merger candidates and the isolated galaxies. Merging candidates show more enrichment of nitrogen abundance compared to isolated galaxies. On the other hand, neon and oxygen abundances for merging candidates are slightly lower than the isolated systems. We discuss the main cause of these trends with internal mixing and mass loss by fast rotation of young massive stars. We also discuss the environmental effect to the relation between specific star formation rate and galaxy mass.

In this paper, the cold extrusion process for internal spline forming using a thin and long tube has been analyzed by using a rigid plastic finite element code. The internal spline consists of 10 tooths. The cold extrusion process has been focused on the comparisions of load-stroke relation and filling states of the teeth according to design parameters. The design parameters involve extrusion ratio, extrusion angle and friction factor. The internal spline forming can cause the buckling and folding during the cold extrusion process because of using a thin and long tube. The optimum design parameters have been obtained through rigid-plastic finite elements analysis. The extrusion ratio and extrusion angle have great effects on the deformation characteristics of the cold extrusion process.

As Korea's global IT sourcing is sluggish and supply of qualified IT personnel does not meet the demand, IT developers currently do not worry about their job security. The sluggish global sourcing is attributed to the lack of system design and analysis skills as well as lack of communication skills of IT personnel. Most of big Korean IT service firms operate in captive market. This is also attributed to the cause of the sluggish global sourcing. Some IT managers, especially in global IT service firms, concerned about the negative long term effect of the sluggish global sourcing on competitiveness and human infra capability of Korea's IT service industry. Managers in IT service firms expect skill requirement changes in the future when global sourcing becomes active. The skills and knowledge that they wish to retain in-house is business knowledge, system analysis and design knowledge, customer relation management skills, project management skills and industry knowledge. The jobs with the above knowledge usually involve customers.

This study explores the lexical-semantic structure of derived causative verbs in Korean based on Pustejovsky(1995)'s Generative Lexicon Theory (GL), Mor-phological causative verbs are derived from their root stems by affixing ‘-i, -hi, -li, -gi’ in Korean and the meanings of derived predicates are closely related to the meanings of their root verbs. In particular, the change of the ARGUMENT STRUCTURE by morphological derivation leads to the change of the EVENT STRUCTURE. In this study, causation is defined as the cause-effect relation having a causer. The ARGUMENT STRUCTURES of derived causative verbs includes a causer argument, which is added to the ARGUMENT STRUCTURE of their root verbs. Their EVENT STRUCTURE has a headed process related to a causer and their result is the event which their root verbs represent. This approach can also suggest that the (in)directness of causative is determined by which verb is its root and explain the difference between the morphological causativization and the syntactic causativization in Korean.

This study identified the level of task stress experienced by fire protection system management workers and analyzed the effects of task stress on job satisfaction and proposed future response. First, task stress according to background cause showed differences in relation to age, position, monthly salary, total career, license, and task, but there was no difference in relation to academic background. Second, of the sub-parameters of stress, physical environment, task demand, organizational system, lack of reward, and workplace culture have negative effects on job satisfaction as stress increases, while interpersonal relation conflict and job insecurity do not have any effect. In the future, it will be necessary to investigate the empirical causes of work overload and to study organization-level stress relief measures.

The cases of animals unusual behavior have been reported occasionally before a major disaster occurs. Could animals unusual behavior associated with a major disaster occurrence, if so, could we foreknow a disaster occurrence? The purpose of study is to quest an answer through literature reviews on the relation between animals unusual behavior and premonitory symptoms of an earthquake. These empirical studies are classified three parts according as methodological framework; statistical analysis, experimental analysis, observation analysis. The results are simply divided as two, 'animals unusual behavior may be seen as a precursor of pre-disaster phenomena' and 'difficult to see.' A number of studies have been performed abroad, however there is no one in Korea. Most of the studies point out common limitations-difficult to verify the reliability of data, accidentally get and fewer samples of data, difficulty of ensuring appropriate data, etc. That is why more related research with animals unusual behavior and disaster occurrence is needed to validate cause-and-effect relation of animal unusual behavior and pre-disaster phenomena.

Our aims is a exploration for relationship between father and male-adolescence. For this purpose, we have employed several self-reported questionnaires, including BDI, Rosenberg self-esteem scale, Attitude for father etc. Our hypothesis is that the perception, the attachment, age and alcohol drinking, accademic career of father influences male-adolescent's self-esteem, mood, sex-role, academic accomplishment, satisfying of school life. We have surveyed questionnaire at one middle school, at Suwon city. We have get 196 samples. We have categorized subjective answers and analyzed relations. The result is that a positive relation is self-esteem, sex-role, and attachment, a neagtive relation is mood and no relation is age, academic career, alcohol drinking. Also, father's overprotection attribute on negative influences. We have many limitations. First limitation is a small number. Second is few previous study. Third is a relative analysis, not cause-effect analysis.

The possibility of using recycled coarse glass aggregates as a substitute for natural crushed stone are relatively limited. In order to promote it for engineering application, this paper reports the effect of coarse glass aggregate on mechanical behavior of concrete. The coarse aggregates are substituted for coarse glass aggregate (CGA) as 0%,20%,40%,60%,80% and 100%.The results show that increasing the coarse glass aggregate content cause decrease in compressive strength, the elastic modulus, the splitting tensile strength, the flexural strength. An equation is presented to generate the relationship between cube compressive strength and prism compressive strength, the relationship between cube compressive strength and elastic modulus, the relationship between cube compressive strength and splitting tensile strength, the relationship between cube compressive strength and flexural strength of coarse glass concrete.
