  • Hardware to implement the parallelized Floating-point rounding algorithm is described. For parallelized additions, we propose an addition module which has carry selection logic to generate two results accoring to the input valuse. A multiplication module for parallelized multiplications is also proposed to generate Sum and Carry bits as intermediate results. Since these modules process data in IEEE standard Floatingpoint double precision format, they are designed for 53-bit significands including hidden bits. Multiplication module is designed with a Booth multiplier and an array multiplier.

  • Distribution-free tests are proposed for AB/BA 2*2 cross-over design data based on placements introduced by Orban and Wolfe(1992). In this paper we suggest the homogeneity test or carry-over effects and also suggest the test for direct effects and the test for period effects under the same carry-over effects. The properties such as iterative asymptotic distribution for the proposed tests are discussed.

  • The damage localization of the structural system using the natural frequency measurement only is proposed. The existing methods use the changes of mode shape, strain mode shape or curvature mode shape before and after the damage occurrence as these shapes carry the geometric information of the structure.   • This paper presents a new modular multiplier for Montgomery multiplication using iterative small carry save adder. The proposed multiplier is more flexible and suitable for long bit multiplication due to its scalable property according to design area and required computing time. We describe the word-based Montgomery algorithm and design architecture of the multiplier. Our analysis and simulation show that the proposed multiplier provides area/time tradeoffs in limited design area such as IC cards.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the Functional golf inner-wear by preventing the injuries and enhancing the performance of the Golf swing by checking the influence of the wearing of the functional golf inner-wear considering golf characteristics on the Swing trajectory and Shot distance. Functional inner-wear effective for golf swing was manufactured using the sports taping method. Changes in driver and iron swing before and after wearing the functional golf inner-wear manufactured in this way were measured using trackman equipment. Measurement variables were limited to Club Speed, Attack Angle, Club Path, Ball Speed, Smash Factor, and Priority. Before and after wearing functional golf inner-wear, there were statistically significant differences in driver club speed, iron club speed, driver etch angle, iron club pass, driver ball speed, driver smash factor, iron smash factor, driver carry, iron carry, and right shoulder joint proprioceptive sensory ability. As a result, functional golf inner-wear is effective for ball speed, impact, and carry by increasing club speed and efficient swing. Future research will focus on the development of functional golf that can improve the swing ability in a short game that plays an important role in the golf game through various sports taping grafting technique, textile, special material, film, Research on functional golf inner-wear.

  • In this paper, we implemented an Elliptic Curve Cryptography(ECC) processor for Digital Transmission Contents Protection (DTCP), which is a standard for protecting various digital contents in the network. Unlikely to other applications, DTCP uses ECC algorithm which is defined over GF(p), where p is a 160-bit prime integer. The core arithmetic operation of ECC is a scalar multiplication, and it involves large amount of very long integer modular multiplications and additions. In this paper, the modular multiplier was designed using the well-known Montgomery algorithm which was implemented with CSA(Carry-save Adder) and 4-level CLA(Carry-lookahead Adder). Our new ECC processor has been synthesized using Samsung 0.18 m CMOS standard cell library, and the maximum operation frequency was estimated 98 MHz, with the size about 65,000 gates. The resulting performance was 29.6 kbps, that is, it took 5.4 msec to process a 160-bit data frame. We assure that this performance is enough to be used for digital signature, encryption and decryption, and key exchanges in real time environments.

Scalable Dual-Field Montgomery Multiplier Using Multi-Precision Carry Save Adder (다정도 CSA를 이용한 Dual-Field상의 확장성 있는 Montgomery 곱셈기)

  • This paper presents a scalable dual-field Montgomery multiplier based on a new multi-precision carry save adder(MP-CSA), which operates in both types of finite fields GF(p) and GF($2^m$). The new MP-CSA consists of two carry save adders(CSA). Each CSA is composed of n = [w/b] carry propagation adders(CPA) for a modular multiplication with w-bit words, where b is the number of dual field adders(DFA) in a CPA. The proposed Montgomery multiplier has roughly the same timing complexity compared with the previous result, however, it has the advantage of reduced chip area requirements. In addition, the proposed circuit produces the exact modular multiplication result at the end of operation unlike the previous architecture. Furthermore, the proposed Montgomery multiplier has a high scalability in terms of w and m. Therefore, it can be used to multiplier over GF(p) and GF($2^m$) for cryptographic applications.

  • This study investigates the relationship between stock index and its associated nearby futures markets based on the cost-of-carry model. The purpose of this study is to explore the existence of mispriced futures contracts, and to test whether traders can earn trading profits in real financial market using the information about the mispriced futures contracts. This study suggests the concordance correlation coefficient to investigate the existence of mispriced futures contracts. The concordance correlation coefficient gives a desirable result for trading profits that results from a comparative analysis among profits from trading at the time to indicate trading opportunities determined by the degree of the difference between the observed market price and the theoretical price of a futures contract. In addition, this study also explains that the concordance correlation coefficient developed from the mean square error (MSE) has a statistically theoretical meaning. In conclusion, this study shows that the concordance correlation coefficient is appropriate for analyzing the relationship between the observed stock index futures market price and the theoretical stock index futures price derived from the cost-of-carry model.

An Analysis of Literacy Textbooks for Adult Learners Developed by Adult Literary Education Institutes (성인 문해교육 기관의 자체 개발 교과서의 내용 제시 방식 분석 연구)

  • This study is to analyze literacy textbooks for adult learners developed by adult literacy education institutes. In the study, six different kinds of literacy textbooks are collected and analyzed on the basis of five evaluation criteria.: unit organization, presentation way of Hangeul, type of content, level of content, and degree of subject integration. The results of literacy textbook analysis are as follows. First, literacy textbooks carry different forms of unit organization in different textbooks. Most textbooks are composed of lessons, without a hierarchical organization of lessons, whereas some textbooks carry a hierarchical structure of 'unit + lessons'. Second, Hangeul is mostly presented in the form of reading and writing and literacy textbooks tend to present Hangeul as constructing letter through combining vowels and consonants rather than as whole language. Third, literacy textbooks contain life-adjustment situations which would help adult learners to lead everyday lives more efficiently. Fourth, literacy textbooks carry different levels of educational content, ranging from 'basic Hangeul' through 'expanded content' to high level of Hangeul writing. Fifth, literacy textbooks appear to integrate educational content from different subjects in order to provide more relevant content for adult learners.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the ratio of carrie's and run's distance in golf running approach using 52° and 48° wedges. Method: 2 women's professional golfers from the LKPGA were given the running approach in the 5 m, 10 m, 15 m respectively. The variables were analyzed through a golf analyzer and actual measurement. Results: If you send 5 m with 52° and 48° wedges, the ball run about 5 m, 10 m respectively, if you carry 10 m with 52° and 48° wedges, the ball run about 10 m, 13 m respectively. And if you carry 15 m with 52° and 48° wedges, the ball run about 13 m, 15 m respectively. Conclusion: Based on the results, if you are confident in distance, if you choose the club properly and if you are confident, if you try to send the correct distance to the hole cup, then you will have a more confident approach, which will lead to better results.
