This study aims to compare and analyze the types of teaching-learning activities, themes and percentage of STS contents in the area of "The Earth and the Universe" in elementary science subject following the 7th Curriculum and 2007 Revised Curriculum, identifying how STS education has changed and their features. First, the number of pages where STS appears in the 2007 revised science textbook has increased over 10% compared to the that of the 7th curriculum. In particular, the number of pages in the 5th and 6th graders increased substantially to 15% and 34%, respectively. Second, as a result of analysis on components of STS, 'applications of science', 'local and community relevance', 'social problem and issues', 'evaluation concerned fir getting and using information' were obtained in the order named for the 7th curriculum; while 'applications of science', 'local and community relevance', 'career awareness' and 'social problem and issues' were obtained in the order named for 2007 revised curriculum. Third, with regard to the analysis on theme areas, the 7th curriculum was found to cover the theme on use of natural resources most frequently, followed by environmental problem, while 2007 revised curriculum to cover environmental problem and effects of technical development most frequently, followed by space development and use of natural resources. Fourth, in the area of STS teaching activities, 'investigation activity' showed highest percentage in 7th curriculum, followed by 'analysis of data', and 'research design', while 'analysis of data' showed highest frequency of appearance, followed by "investigation activity' and 'actual activities' and 'research design' in the order named in 2007 revised curriculum, showing that the area of 'analysis of data' and 'actual activities' increased substantially compared to the 7th curriculum.

This study aimed to investigate the influence of self-image, and self-esteem of 119 Rescue workers in D city on job satisfaction. This research design was a descriptive study. Data were collected from November 19, 2012 to December 08, 2012, analyzed by SPSS 20.0 program. There were statistical difference between age, period of employment, position, and license and self-image. There were statistical difference between age, position, license and self-esteem. There were statistical differences between age, period of employment, position and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was positively related to self-image and self-esteem. In the multivariate regression analysis, adjusted R2 value was 0.268. It is necessary to enhance the career and awareness of job satisfaction of 119 rescue workers.
This study had the following aims: (1) To examine the significance of an eco-friendly environment based on the experiences of adventure sports participants, and to identify eco-friendly behaviors; (2) To review the characteristics of adventure sports that are held in a natural environment, as well as the existing problems in different adventure sports fields (3) To conduct an analysis of various eco-friendly behaviors and of the efforts that are being exerted to address a wide range of problems related to environmental pollution, by employing qualitative research methods, in a bid to ultimately present the symbiotic, coexistent, and harmonious relations between nature, sports, and humans. Ten individuals who were engaging in the adventure sports of scuba diving and paragliding were selected for the study, and the gathered data were analyzed based on the "surjection", "unit", "sign", and "subject" factors. The results of the analysis show that most of the adventure sports participants who were the subjects of the study believe that an eco-friendly environment helps protect and preserve nature, which is the basis of human life that adventure sports flourish in a natural environment that nature sustains adventure sports and that dealing carelessly with nature, or concentrating on the exploitation of nature for development purposes a real danger to its preservation. It was established in the study that keen adventure sports participants, or those who have a passion for and a thriving career in adventure sports, can do much to address environmental problems. The results of the study demonstrate that the link between sports and nature will promote a keen interest in and love for nature among sports enthusiasts as well as an awareness of the need to protect and preserve it, which will in turn lead them to develop a desire to do such. When these are realized, concrete images of eco-friendly behaviors will be seen on the part of a greater number of people.
Quitline activity in Rajasthan, India is a voluntary activity of Rajasthan Cancer Foundation (RCF) since April 2013. To kick-off, it took the benefit of the State Government- PIRAMAL SWASTHYA (PS)1 collaborative 104 Health Information Helpline that existed already in public-private partnership. It is a reactive quitline that helps callers through the counselors and nursing staff trained specifically through the weekly sessions held by the first author, the RCF resource on quitline. Besides structuring of the scripts for primary intervention and follow-ups after 1 week, 1 month, 6 months and a year, he also monitors calls, advices and coordinates with the supervisors to manage and analyze the data base, and reports to the PS lead at the Jaipur Center on overall performance and to plan strategic communication with the State Government on its outcomes. The quitline has limitations of its informal existence through a voluntary effort of RCF, no specific resource allocation, suboptimal data management, minimal awareness in the masses due to poor IEC (Information, Education and Communication; except its efforts made by RCF in last 1 year through the government-run State TV and City Radio) and staff shortage and its attrition due to lack of plan for career advancement. Despite these challenges in the year 2013, the quit line has registered a quit rate (for complete abstinence) of 19.93% amongst 1525 callers. The quit rate were 58.01% (304/ 524) among the responders at the 3rd follow-up at 18 months (in September 2014)2. In view of an increase in quit rate by 5- 9 times over the prevailing quit rate in the former ever daily users [both smokers and the users of smokeless tobacco (SLT)], efforts are being made by RCF in concurrence with PS to have this cost-effective model established formally with optimal resource allocation in collaboration with willing agencies (the State and Central Governments and the International Quitline Agencies) and its replication in 4 more states where PS is collaborating with the respective state governments similarly (Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Karnataka).

Background: Among the different aims of medical education, the provision of society with skilled, professional, and knowledgeable healthcare workers who maintain and develop their expertise over a lifetime career is important. The achievement of this goal is linked with the professional development of both faculty members and healthcare workers. This study aims to measure the perception of faculty members regarding their views about the goals of faculty development programs, practices and activities, and factors that determine their achievement. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in multiple universities in the Western region of Saudi Arabia. The participants were given a pre-designed self-administered questionnaire generated from literature. The survey questionnaire consisted of three sections that were designed to assess the faculty members' perception on the faculty development program. Results: A total of 210 faculty members participated in the study. The most important perceived goal was to motivate teachers to become better teachers. The most important perceived practice was establishing a positive climate for teaching and learning. The most important perceived factor was skilled and dedicated staff support. Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrate that faculty members have positive perceptions regarding all aspects of faculty development programs. This study will raise awareness regarding the importance of faculty development programs in sustaining educational vitality. We recommend the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive faculty development programs in Saudi universities.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the professors, who teach the dental hygiene program in Korea, on the awareness of the research ethics education check. And attempt to provide and promote a basic foundation for future research ethics education Methods : Questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 119, who teach the dental hygiene program. The collected data was performed frequency & percentage, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression. Results : 1. As recognition about research ethics education needs, they expressed the biggest recognition that research ethics education is required($3.66{\pm}0.57$) 2. Regarding the correlation between students needs research ethics education and interested research ethics education had a statistically significant correlation of r=0.381 which was the highest correlation factor. 3. Research ethics education taking institutions, 39.4% respondents experienced the biggest national research institutes. 4. Between general characteristics and research ethics education recognition level, they were statistically significantly different with age and major course(p<0.05). 5. The affecting factors on the research ethics education were teaching career and number of articles published as the first author, explained 12.8%(p<0.001). Conclusions : Research ethics education is desperately needed. Therefore I will insist the case based approach in the research ethics education program with the format of a stand course.
In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the world is undergoing rapid social change. The purpose of this study is to predict the expected changes and necessary competencies and desired curriculum and teaching methods in the field of mechanical engineering in the near future. The research method was a Delphi study. It was conducted three times with 20 mechanical engineering experts. The results of the study are as follows: In the field of mechanical engineering, it will be increased the situational awareness by the use of measurement sensors, development of computer applications, flexibility and optimization by user's needs and mechanical equipment, and demand for robots equipped with AI. The mechanical engineer's career perspectives will be positive, but if it is stable, it will be a crisis. Therefore active response is needed. The competencies required in the field of mechanical engineering include collaborative skills, complex problem solving skills, self-directed learning skills, problem finding skills, creativity, communication skills, convergent thinking skills, and system engineering skills. The undergraduate curriculum to achieve above competencies includes four major dynamics, basic science, programming coding education, convergence education, data processing education, and cyber physical system education. Preferred mechanical engineering teaching methods include project-based learning, hands-on education, problem-based learning, team-based collaborative learning, experiment-based education, and software-assisted education. The mechanical engineering community and the government should be concerned about the education for mechanical engineers with the necessary competencies in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which will make global competitiveness in the mechanical engineering fields.

The number of Healthy Family Support Centers has increased and the services for enhancement of family strength have extended during the past ten years since the Framework Act on Healthy Families was enacted. It is time to pay attention to the empowerment for Healthy Family Specialist because their capability is directly linked to improve the quality of services, which means the satisfaction of family services and the quality of family policy. In this context, this study investigate organizational experience of Healthy Family Specialists and suggest the empowerment plan to enhance their capability. We conducted in-depth interviews for 9 Healthy Family Specialists who is currently working at Healthy Family Support Centers as a manager status during June 2014. We analyzed organizational experiences through job commitment and job satisfaction and empowerment plans through their strength and weakness. Our findings revealed that job commitment and job satisfaction of Healthy Family Specialist are relatively low due to a poor working condition and a low brand awareness. Also, the capability of Healthy Family Specialists is an important factor to determine their job commitment and job satisfaction, and it can impact on the long service. These results suggest that the payroll system, increment of salary, career recognition, employee benefit, systematic operation, and motivation are needed to improve their job satisfaction. There are various ways to improve professional capability of Healthy Family Specialists besides education program. This study contributes to make the plan of empowerment for Healthy Family Specialists and it also contributes to improve the service quality of family policy.

Inspired by the practice-oriented curriculum in LIS, many colleges have developed Internship program. Researches of internee's attitude or opinion of internship program, which affect students' learning and their cognitive impact, have not been studied. This study measured internee's cognition of internship by surveying thirty-four librarians who had experience of internship instructor in libraries and information centers. The Researcher found several practical problems as well as some implications which can be applied in a meaningful way among LIS professionals.

This study investigates the potential for multi-cultural youths, given their innate bilingual and dual culture, to be trained as the competent ODA professionals. For the purpose of collecting information, we organized two different kinds of FGI in 2015. The first FGI was conducted with a group of 10 expert participants from August 17 to September 25. The second FGI was conducted four times, from October 5 to October 23, with 13 adolescents from multi-cultural families from Russia, Mongolia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Japan, and China. The semi-structured interview items were passed through a formal review process of the Institutional Ethics Committee. Furthermore, with the participants' pre-consent to recording, all recorded data were categorized through the transcription process. The results are as follows. While the potential for nourishing bilingual and dual cultural capabilities are high for the adolescent children of multi-cultural families, the expert group also emphasized the negative aspects of these capabilities being suppressed due to the relatively oppressed family environment. The expert group therefore suggests the following: building parent awareness of ODA human resources, developing an educational career transition roadmap, and providing institutional incentives for ODA. In addition, to some extent, the researchers were able to detect some positive self-esteem among the adolescent children of multi-cultural families as a result of the bilingual and dual cultural competencies required to be ODA personnel. In sum, the research provides insight into the need for national social support for the adolescent children of multi-cultural families, so that their strengths are not extinguished, in order that they might grow up as competent ODA personnel.
