This study explored challenges and desires related to social relationships among adolescents with intellectual disabilities, using the photovoice method. Six adolescents with intellectual disabilities (M = 18.33 years) who are attending a general high school participated in 7 sessions of a photovoice program. They selected themes related to social relationships through group discussions and shared their photos related to the themes with other participants. Our study yielded 15 subthemes within 5 social relationships (peers, teachers, boyfriends/girlfriends, parents, persons whom I need) from adolescents with intellectual disabilities as follows: relationships with peers (feeling lonely and left out, being teased and bullied by peers, making efforts to fix damaged relationships with friends), relationships with teachers (feeling appreciated by teachers who understand me, lacking interactions with teachers, wanting teachers to show they care about my school life), relationships with boyfriends/girlfriends (wanting to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, feeling worried and fearful about having a boyfriend/girlfriend, trying to attract a boyfriend/girlfriend), relationships with parents (being thankful to parents for their unconditioned love, enjoying time with parents, feeling bad because of not being close to father), persons whom I need (persons who enjoy spending time with me, persons who help me, persons who never give up on me). This study provides implications for social work practice, such as training for improving peer relationships and coping with peer conflict, education for fostering healthy romantic relationships, training for promoting social skills of adolescents with intellectual disabilities, and education for increasing awareness of the social needs of students with intellectual disabilities among peers without disabilities, teachers, and social workers.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify utilization of the work-family support policy (WFSP) and factors affecting retention intention among Korean female military officers. Methods: This cross-sectional survey recruited 103 married female officers from the Korean Army, Navy, and Air force with preschool-aged children through convenience and snowball sampling. Via online surveys from June to November, 2018, the participants self-reported retention intention, work-family conflict, job satisfaction, and utilization of the WFSP. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. Results: Retention intention ($22.29{\pm}5.98$) was reported at the mid-level, lower than scores reported in the literature for female workers. Work-family conflict ($32.51{\pm}5.29$) and job satisfaction ($63.10{\pm}7.45$) were above the midpoint levels. Use of maternity leave (100.0%) and parental leave (92.2%) was high, especially compared to the rates of child-care day off (20.4%) and parenting time (20.4%). 'Noticeable increases in childcare services within the army' (22.8%) was reported as the supportive measure needed the most by female military officers. Job satisfaction (${\beta}=.43$, $p{\leq}.001$), the use of parenting time (${\beta}=-0.29$, p=.002), living type (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.043), and service type (${\beta}=-.16$, p=.035) significantly influenced retention intention. Conclusions: The findings highlight the priority areas of importance within the WFSP and suggest that a family-friendly culture can improve female officers' retention intention. Accordingly, policy changes at the Ministry of National Defense improving the system to enhance a family-friendly culture in the military is expected to strengthen the retention intention of female officers and contribute to excellence in the military workforce.

With the increase in population, the number of such senior citizens is increasing day by day. These senior citizens have a variety of care needs, but there are not enough health workers to look after them. Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) aims at ensuring the safety and health quality of the older adults and extending the number of years the senior citizens can live independently in an environment of their own preference. AAL provides a system comprising of smart devices, medical sensors, wireless networks, computer and software applications for healthcare monitoring. AAL can be used for various purposes like preventing, curing, and improving wellness and health conditions of older adults. While information security and privacy are critical to providing assurance that users of AAL systems are protected, few studies take into account this feature. In this paper, we propose a secure and lightweight authentication scheme for the AAL systems. The proposed authentication scheme not only supports several important security requirements needed by the AAL systems, but can also withstand various types of attacks. Also, the security analysis results are presented to show the proposed authentication scheme is more secure and efficient rather than existing authentication schemes.
Beauty in the modern society is a professional occupation in which art and science are fusion-integrated, and in order to enter as a beautician, obtaining a national technical certificate is a routine customs clearance procedure. As it is time to present objective data on the national technology license and employment fields preferred by prospective beauticians, it is a time to analyze the perceptions and trends of the national technical license of the beautician preferred by beauty academy students who design success in the future beauty industry. Through this study, it is possible to seek the essential tendency and development direction of beauty talents, and it is thought that it will set a desirable direction for R&D for education of national technical qualifications in the future and greatly contribute to the activation of the beauty academy market.
It is important to maintain a healthy dietary habit to enjoy better health and quality of life in later life. However, taking care of one's dietary lifestyle at an older age may be a challenge. Especially, community dwelling low-income older adults are one of the most vulnerable population in regards to holding a well balanced healthy diet. The purpose of this research is to identify the current status of food delivery services for low-income older adults and explore related issues. In order to achieve the aim, this study conduced two sets of focus group interviews with 8 nutritionists and 7 social workers in Seoul. According to the research results, there are issues related to meals on wheels such as vague eligibility, poor operation conditions, work overload, and difficulty in realizing customized meal delivery. Food security for low-income older adults is a prerequisite for aging in place. It is necessary to discuss the ways to create favorable operating conditions to deliver customized meals and manage nutrition and hygiene from the perspective of social work.
In this paper, I review Pellegrino's Reader, The Philosophy of Medicine Reborn. Pellegrino has emphasized the humanities' reflection on the ethics of medicine. He insists that medical ethics should be re-established as modern society changes. This paper, based on Pellegrino's view, noted the problematic situation in literature and popular narrative texts. Indeed, I wanted to see what answer medical ethics could provide for us. Medical personnel had a philosophical dilemma or a conflict between reality and ethics. Pellegrino argues that medical personnel, above all, need to sympathize with the patient's pain and respond to their needs through interaction with them. This may seem like a very legitimate declaration. But a physician in literary texts and popular narrative texts is often exposed to this ethical dilemma. Through Lee Cheongjun's novel, we can reflect on how a medical personnel could lead a patient to a state of "goodness". And through medical dramas, we can grasp what ethical behaviors the public demands from a medical personnel. Now that the world is suffering from COVID-19, medical workers are in a great trouble, but at the same time, they are respected by the public and are also enhancing their value as ethical beings. Now that medical care has become an everyday narrative, medical ethics is becoming a prerequisite for living. This paper attempted to recognize the importance of medical ethics and to review the ethical issues embodied in medical narratives.

This study is a random allocation similar experimental study to compare and analyze the difference in BVM (Bag-Valve-Mask) ventilation volume according to the characteristics of the rescuer's hand and the type of mask using a standardized mannequin. To this end, the Basic Life Resuscitation Education Center of D University in gwangju. Recruiting 39 students who have completed the basic resuscitation course for emergency medical personnel and the Korean-style specialized cardiac rescue course, In addition to measuring the physical characteristics of the hand, the average amount of ventilation per minute using a bag-mask was measured and analyzed. As a result, the type of mask that was not most affected by the characteristics of the hand and provided adequate Minute Ventilation was the soft type (tube, silicone) mask. On the other hard (tube, silicone) masks were found to be unsuitable for general use as they were greatly affected by the characteristics of workers' hands. COVID-19 is currently increasing the risk of transmission to paramedics and patients. Considering this situation, the universal use of a semi-permanent hard-type mask, which is disadvantageous not only for preventing infection but also for proper ventilation, should be avoided. In addition to the ease of use, it should be actively utilized in the field by supplying a soft type mask that can provide stable ventilation even with 'predominance recognition' and proper ventilation.
This thesis discussed the status of women workers as wage laborers and home laborers and the valid of a documentary movie for representing women laborers through a documentary movie, Weabak that revolved around Home-ever occupation strike leaded E-Land labor union at 30th June, 2007. Jobs for women labors got covered by the flow of flexibility with the policy of labor flexibility in South Korea during 1990s. The reasons that justify this trend are their position in the households, and their roles in working places are not very important because there are not required difficult skills. The mass dismissal which caused the E-Land strike also shared these ideologies. In Weabak, since women laborers were always expected to care for their family, they were need strikes in their home as well as their working place. However, a household is a basement for them to get the identity as a women laborer. It has two ambivalent meanings, as a protected area and disorder for them to pursue their life at the same time. Identity of Women laborers, domestic laborers as well as wage laborers, are very difficult to identify as a general noun, a laborer. Weabak is an important example to show us the possibility of a documentary as searching new realism for representing women laborers' story using their own perspective.
This study is a single case study of the application of service design in a regional emergency medical centre of a senior general hospital, focusing on the experiences of patients and medical staff. It aims to measure and improve the experience of healthcare services using service design techniques and to verify their effectiveness. A qualitative case study centred on ethnography and design workshops was conducted to collect in-depth experience data from patients and medical staff. The study identified key experiential differences between patients and healthcare workers, with a particular focus on the challenges faced in emergency medical services. The qualitative data collected through patient and healthcare worker interviews and design thinking workshops were analysed and incorporated into the design in order to understand the complex dynamics of the regional emergency medical centre environment. The results of the study highlighted the need to improve communication, manage patient flow, and improve the environment in three main aspects of the current state of design reflecting the needs of patients and medical staff. By analysing the differences in the specific needs of the two groups of patients and medical staff, a design-led implementation process can be applied to improve the services of the regional emergency medical centre. This study highlights the role and importance of design in healthcare and provides an efficient way to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical design implementation. This will contribute to creating a faster, more effective, and more satisfying healthcare experience. It is hoped that this will be a new opportunity to see service design as a key to a new innovation process for the satisfaction of both patients and medical staff.

Aim(s): This study aims to explore the relationship between multicultural awareness, multicultural acceptance and sensitivity of nursing students in the midst of rapid changes in multiculturalism, and to explore the direction for improving multicultural awareness as health care workers in the future. A survey was conducted among 135 nursing students from two universities in one region, and 108 students, excluding random responses and dropouts, were the final subjects for analysis. For data analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis and mediation effects were tested using SPSS and process Macros. The results confirmed a statistically significant relationship between multicultural awareness and multicultural acceptance (r=.572, p<.001). The relationship between mutual cultural sensitivity, multicultural acceptance (r=.650, p<.001) and multicultural awareness (r=.456, p<.001) also showed a significant positive correlation. In addition, the effect of mutual cultural sensitivity was confirmed in the relationship between multicultural awareness and multicultural acceptance. As a result, in the relationship between multicultural awareness and multicultural acceptability, intercultural sensitivity ranged from 0.188 to 0.554, and the 95% confidence interval did not include 0; thus, indirect effect was statistically significant. Considering these results, it was confirmed that it is important to increase multicultural awareness and intercultural sensitivity in order to increase multicultural acceptance.
