적층구성 변화에 따른 경량화 구조부재의 에너지 흡수 특성 (A Study on Energy Absorption Characteristics of Lightweight Structural Member according to Stacking Conditions)

  • In this study, one type of circular shaped composite tube was used, combined with reinforcing foam and without foam. Furthermore, CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) circular member manufactured from CFRP prepreg sheet for lightweight design. CFRP is an anisotropic material which is the most widely adapted lightweight structural member. The crashworthy behavior of circular composite material tubes subjected to static axial compression under same conditions is reported in this paper. The collapse mode during the failure process were observed and analyzed. The behavior of polymeric foams to the tubes crashworthiness were also investigated.

축산폐수의 흡착산화 처리 (Treatment of Animal Wastewater with Absorbent Oxidation)

  • A long- time aeration method was developed for purification of animal wastewater. Under repeated aereations of 4 hours on and 4 hours off, the higher removal rates were obtained which were in average of 99%, 96%, 92% and 50% for BOD, SS, total nitrogen and phosporous, respectively. In detail, the measured BOD concentrations of the influent and effluent were 2,700ppm and 40ppm while the SS concentrations in the primary chamber and of the effluent were about 3,000 and 110 ppm, respectively. Zeolite and activated carbon, applied for removing the nitrogen and phosphorous, showed a good absorption, especially zeolite for NH$_4$-N and activated carbon for NO$_3$-N and PO$_4$-P. The treatment cost per head by this method amounts to 1,923 won and it comes to 1.6% in the whole production cost. Therefore, this method is economically available with the half cost of the conventional activated sludge process.

공기중의 벤젠제거에 대한 산화티타늄 광촉매 반응특성 (Photocatalytic Reactivity of Titanium Dioxide in the Removal of Benzene from Air)

  • Photocatalytic removal of benzene from air was examined using titanium dioxide photocatalyst films prepared on soda lime glass(50$\times$50$\times$2 mm) by spin coating and chemical vapor deposition. For the measurement of photocatalytic reactivity titanium dioxide coated glass was placed into a batch reactor and concentration of benzene in the reactor was set to abuot 100 ppm, and then illuminated with UV. It was found that catalytic reactivity of titanium dioxide films increased with the increase of titanium dioxide film thickness and then level off beyond a certain film thickness. UV absorption by the films showed the similar trend. The formation of stoichiometric amount of carbon dioxide was confirmed by measurement of carbon dioxide concentration in the reactor. In general spin coated films revealed better photocatalytic reactivity than chemically deposited one within the experimental ranges covered in this study. Morphology and crystal structure of prepared films were investigated by XRD and SEM and they showed significant difference between spin coated films and CVD films. Highest quantum efficiency of prepared titanium dioxide photocatalyst was close to 50%.

스프레이법으로 제작된 투명 MWCNT 박막 (Transparent MWCNT Thin Films Fabricated by using the Spray Method)

  • Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have excellent electrical, chemical stability, mechanical and thermal properties. The MWCNT films were investigated as a transparent electrode for the solar cell, OLED, and field-emission display. MWCNT films were fabricated by air spray method, whose process is quite low-costed, using the multi-walled CNTs solution on glass substrates. Moreover, the most stable film was fabricated when the spraying time was 60 sec. The film that was sprayed with the MWCNT dispersion for 60 sec, has 300nm thick. And its electric resistivity, transmittance rate, mobility and carrier concentration are $6{\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, 50% at ${\lambda}=550mm$, $4.3{\times}10^{-2}cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ and $2.1{\times}10^{21}cm^{-3}$, respectively. Also, absorption energy of MWCNT films show from 3.9 eV to 4.6 eV. Furthermore, we can use MWCNT films fabricated by the spray method for the transparent electrode.

탄소섬유강화형 복합재료의 기계적 성질에 미치는 수환경의 영향 (The Influence of Water Environment on the Mechanical Properties of Carbon/Epoxy Reinforced Composite Materials)

  • This study is investigated of tensile and fatigue strength for advanced composite materials under hygrothermal environment. The materials used are two types of Carbon/Epoxy reinforced composite materials i.e., 13$0^{\circ}C$ cure-type composite T-1/347, and 18$0^{\circ}C$ cure-type MM-1/982X. These are composed by cross-ply laminates. Test condition is the distilled water of 8$0^{\circ}C$. The separate absorption contents estimated by the Fick's diffusion rule are similar to the experiment results. The tensile strength of T-1/347 wet specimens more increased than that of dry ones, but that of MM-1/982X decreased. The fatigue strengthes of both T-1/347 and MM-1/982X wet specimen more decreased than those of dry specimens.

병태동물(病態動物)에서 Sulfadimethoxine의 이용효율에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Bioavailability of Sulfadimethoxine in Pathological Animals)

  • The purpose of this paper was to investigate the bioavailability of sulfadimethoxine in pathological rats and rabbits pretreated with carbon tetrachloride and mercuric chloride. The results are as follows: The absorption of sulfadimethoxine was decreased in rats damaged liver and kidney as compared with that of normal rats. Especially, absorption of sulfadimethoxine in rats damaged liver was more decreased than that of rats damaged kidney. Blood level of sulfadimethoxine administered orally was mostly decreased significantly in rabbits damaged kidney and liver, and in rabbits severely damaged kidney the blood level of sulfadimethoxine was not significant at 4 to 6 hours. Urinary clearance of sulfadimethoxine in rabbits severely damaged kidney was inhibited at 5 to 6 hours. but in rabbit damaged liver. Hepatic clearance of sulfadimethoxine was accelerated in rabbits damaged kidney but in rabbits damaged liver. Protein binding percentage of sulfadimethoxine was not affected by the various concentration of carbon tetrachloride and mercuric chloride respectively.

병태 동물에서 암피실린의 생물약제학적 연구 (A Biopharmaceutical Study on Ampicillin in Pathological Animals)

  • It was to investigate the absorption, excretion, protein binding of ampicillin in the pathological animals pretreated with carbon tetrachloride and mercuric chloride. The absorption of ampicillin was not affected in rats with damaged liver and kidney as compared with that of normal rats. The blood level of ampicillin after oral administration was increased significantly in rabbits with damaged kidney and liver. The blood level of ampicillin in rabbit with damaged kidney was more increased than that in rabbits with damaged liver. In severly damaged rabbits, it was more increased than that of mildly damaged rabbits. Urinary excretion of ampicillin in pathological animals was more inhibited than that of ampicillin in normals. Hepatic excretion of ampicillin was accelerated in rabbits with damaged kidney. However, in rabbits with damaged liver, it was inhibited as compared with that in normals. Protein binding of ampicillin was slightly enhanced by the various concentration of carbon tetrachloride and mercuric chloride, respectively. The results suggest that the increase of blood level of ampicillin in pathological animals was due to the inhibition of renal excretion.

Efficient removal of toluene by $TiO_2$ films on carbon paper

  • Using a novel deposition technique, which can be described as pulsed chemical vapor deposition (CVD), $TiO_2$ thin films were synthesized on carbon fibers. We show that these films exhibit extraordinary high absorption capacities of toluene vapor. Such an absorption phenomenon of toluene at room temperature was not found for other $TiO_2$ samples. We expect that $TiO_2$ thin films prepared here can be used for removing volatile organic compounds from indoor atmosphere. Structures of there $TiO_2$ films were studied by SEM and XPS, and the results are discussed.

  • The effect of implanted nitrogen and carbon ion into SUS 304 on the absorption of hydrogen by cathodic chaging were studied. Implantations of $N^+$, $C^+$ were performed with doses of $3\times10^{17}$ ions $\textrm{cm}^2$ and $5\times10^{17}N^+cm^2$, and $5\times10^{17}C^+cm^2$, at an energy of 90 keV. Nitrides and carbide were investigatedby X-ray diffraction, Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Formation of hydrides during cathodic charging were depressed by a modified surface layer. It is concluded that the both nitrides and carbides act as the barrier of hydrogen migration and the catalyst of desorption of cathodically charged hydrogen.

  • It is important to satisfy the requirements and standards for the protections of passengers in a car accident. There are lots of studies on the crushing energy absorption of a structure members in automobiles. We have studied to investigate collapse characteristics and moisture absorption movements of CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) hat shaped sectional members when CFRP laminates are under the hygrothermal environment. In particular, the absorbed energy, mean collapse load and deformation mode were analyzed for side members which absorbed most of the collision energy. Variation of CFRP interlaminar numbers is important to increase the energy absorption capability. Therefore we have made a static collapse experiment to research into the difference of absorbed energy and deformation mode between moisture absorbed specimen and non-moisture absorbed.
