  • This paper discusses the necessity, strategy and objectives of the rail transportation recently developed in Shanghai. The objective should not be regarded just as a term project, but should be taken as an urgent mission with the 21st century, Shanghai should possess a network of about 100km of rail transport lines. To this end, the following measures are suggested : grade separation of all lines on elevated structures ; developing the rail car industries ; full utilization of all available transportation facilities ; optimizing the use of the space resources of highways ; bringing into play the initiatives of all parties concerned. Recently, it has become a popular consensus that the development of high-speed, safe, punctual, comfortable, non-pollution rail transport with large capacity is the best and only solution to Shanghai urban transportation. In this respect, this dissertation deals with the development strategy for current Shanghai rail construction, together with the infractructure in Shanghai, positioning the developing target; meanwhile, some proposals and solutions to hit this target will be put forward for the reference of leaders and experts.

  • The most important thing to be considered in designing stop lamps for automobiles is to satisfy the photometric requirement in various countries and achieve the equal image. To meet these requirements, parabolic reflector and fish-eye optics has been widely applied. The form of the embodied optic is most important in satisfying the photometric requirement and achieving the equal image because the impact of fish-eye optic is decisive. In this study, a series of researches has been performed to optimize of the fish-eye optic by analyzing beam pattern through the photometric simulation based on CATAI program. The optimized results have been shown to meet the various photometric requirements including non dazzling condition considering the following car. The methodology of this study is excepted to influence the development procedure of light system. The time and cost for the system development would be greatly saved by suing this simulaion technique.

  • This paper deals with the path following problem of car-like intelligent mobile robot. A robust sliding mode control law based on time-varying state feedback is performed via Lyapunov method for path tracking of nonholonomic mobile robot with uncertainties. At first, A sliding control law is designed by combing the natural algebraic structure of the chained form system with ideas from sliding mode theory. Then, a robust control law is proposed to impose robustness against bounded uncertainties in path tracking. The problem of estimating the asymptotic stability region and the sliding domain of uncertain sliding mode system with bounded control input is also discussed. The proposed sliding mode control law can ensure the global reaching condition of the uncertain control system.

차량 전복 방지를 위한 롤 및 요 운동 제어기의 성능 비교 (Comparison Among Yaw and Roll Motion Controllers for Rollover Prevention)

  • This article presents a comparison among several yaw and roll motion controllers for vehicle rollover prevention. In the previous research, yaw and roll motion controllers can be independently designed for rollover prevention. Following this idea, several yaw and roll motion controllers are designed and compared in terms of rollover prevention. For the yaw motion control, PID, LQR, SMC (Sliding Mode Control) and TDC (Time-Delay Control) are adopted. For the roll motion control, LQR, LQ SOF (Static Output Feedback) control, PID, and SMC are adopted. To compare the performance of each controller, simulation is performed on a vehicle simulation package, CarSim$^{(R)}$. From simulation, TDC and LQ SOF are the best for yaw and roll motion control, respectively.

  • In 1995 we licensed pyrolysis gas melting technology of indirect heating type (using kiln) from Siemens AG, and built its demonstration facility in 1998 at Clean-Park-East of Fukuoka City to demonstrate the technology for municipal solid waste (MSW). In 1997 we were awarded an order from Kanemura Co., Ltd. to build a pyrolysis gas melting and power generation plant, specifically for treating residue from car shredder. The latter was launched in 1998, and is currently in commercial operation. The operation of these plants have proven the following facts. (1) The system is capable for performing a stable operation with a wide variety of waste. (2) Pyrolysis is achieved steadily regardless of the variation in the quality of waste. (3) The system can be operated under low excess air ratio (1.2∼1.3). (4) The concentration of dioxins at the furnace outlet is 0.062ng-TEQ/㎥$\_$N/, and 0.002ng-TEQ/㎥$\_$N/, at the stack. (the value is corrected to dryO$_2$ 12%) (5) The purity of recovered metals exceeds 90%.

  • The following results were come out after the careful study on the rational application of dental surveyor in the clinic 1. The adequate path of placement satisfying guiding plane, retention non-interference and esthetics. 2. The location of clasp arm and the accurate under cut position and amount of clasp tip can be judged. 3. In case that the model needs to be mounted to the surveyor, the exactly same location can be attained by the means of the tripoding. 4. The unnecessary undercut areas in the path of placement and removal car be corrected. 5. The surveyor is essential in manufacturing dental prosthesis and it can also carry out all sorts of prospective designs In terms of the diagnosis and treatment.

  • Cortical laminar necrosis appears as hyperinense lesions with a laminar pattern on T1 weighted magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, without signs of hemorrhage or calcification on T2 weighted MR imaging or computed tomography. It has been reported to be associated with hypoxia, metabolic disturbances, drugs, and infections. We present a 12 month-old male infant who suffered diffuse brain injuries following car accident and showed laminar necrosis of cortex.

  • In the article 16 of the domestic rolling stock crashworthiness regulations, the collision acceleration level during collision accidents should remain under the maximum 7.5g and the average 5g. By the way, the accelerations obtained in crash simulations and tests contain many kinds of high frequency components due to numerical oscillations or noisy signals. So, this paper aims to develop reliable post-processing methods to filter high frequency oscillations and extract the rigid body motions of passenger rail cars. For this study we used the 1-dimensional dynamic model of KHST (Korean high-speed train), and evaluated acceleration data at the driver's area in the first power car and the passenger area in the following trailer.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the correlation of pain, stiffness, and physical function by analyizing the KWOMAC socre of the patients with degenerative knee OA, is the most common disease among senior population. Method : 100 degenerative knee OA patients, diagnosed at the hostpital or clinic located in Degu and Kyung-buk province were participated in the study. Result : This study results in following conclusions. 1. Degenerative knee OA patients complained the pain going up or down stairs, stiffness after getting up in the morning. immediately. 2. They also had significant difficulty ascending or decending stairs, getting in or out of car, rising from sitting, doing chores. 3. There was the high correlation among pain, stiffness, physical function. Conclusions : It may provide information to assess the ADL of knee OA patients and the exercise, outcome for their independent life effectly.
