Previous studies have shown that many socio-demographic-economic students' background and motivation have impacted the level of academic achievement. Moreover, research also contended that school facilities at some points also influenced students' academic performance. Thus, the aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between the level of academic achievement and satisfaction of various spatial environment through survey. For that purpose, one university campus was selected and evaluation indexes were categorized into five major components of physical and experimental environment, later supported by factor analysis. Correlation analysis found that extracted factors were significantly interrelated to academic achievement. Further, regression analysis also explored sense of belonging as major predictor of academic achievement. Finally the study suggested that campus plan be approached carefully, because such experimental environment as diverse club activities at outdoor environment is a key element to academic achievement even though rated low scores in satisfaction.

A structured questionnaire was designed to collect data on participants' socio-demographics, stressful life events (interpersonal relationship & task-related events) and quality of life (WHOQOL-Bref) in September 2011. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression were applied to data analysis. Results: A total of 135 nursing students were surveyed. The score of the task-related stressful life events was higher than that of the interpersonal stressful life events. Physical domain score ($13.53{\pm}2.33$) was highest but environmental domain score ($12.75{\pm}2.34$) was lowest in quality of life. Satisfaction with campus life affected stressful life events (F=11.82, p<.001) and quality of life (F=17.77, p<.001), and extracurricular activities affect quality of life (t=-2.51, p=.013). Quality of life was negatively associated with task-related stressful life events (r=.-51, p<.001). Multiple regression analyses showed that extracurricular activities, satisfaction with campus life and task-related stressful life events were statistically significant in predicting quality of life with the explanatory power of 40.6%. This study was conducted as a descriptive survey. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire during the period from the 1st to 15th of April, 2015, and the questionnaires from 195 nursing students were used in the analysis using Fisher's exact test, t-test, one way ANOVA, Mann Whitney test, and ANCOVA. Only 41.5% of the nursing students chose nursing as their major because of their aptitude and interest. The motive for the selection of the major was found to have a significant effect on their satisfaction with the major (p<.001), campus-life satisfaction (p=.008), and self-directed learning ability (p=.001). Middle and high school students should be provided with various types of information on nursing, so that they can have the opportunity to choose nursing based on their aptitude and interest before entering university. Once they start university, nursing students' adjustment to campus-life and learning ability should be enhanced through various extracurricular activity programs in order to stimulate their interest in the major.
