A inductive voltage divider(IVD) is widely used as a ratio arm of precise impedance measurement bridges at low frequencies of audio frequency range and a well fabricated IVD has ratio error of $10^{-7}$ order without any calibration. Recently, the order of $10^{-8}$ of the best measurement uncertainty is needed for calibration and maintenance of impedance standards as national standards. In order to achieve that uncertainty, the IVD which is used for a ratio arm of precise impedance measurement bridge should be calibrated within the uncertain of order of $10^{-8}$ For this purpose, a ratio calibration bridge for IVDs has been developed. The measurement uncertainties of both inphase and quadrature of the bridge are analyzed less then $3{\times}10^{-8}$ respectively at 1 kHz and 25 V.
The objective of this work is to propose calibration facility in which a thin film type heat flux sensor can be calibrated under convective flow condition by using a small wind tunnel with the constant temperature plate condition. A small wind tunnel has been built to produce a boundary layer shear flow above a constant temperature copper plate. 12-independent copper blocks, thin film heaters, insulators and temperature controllers were used to keep the temperature of flat plate constant at a specified temperature. Three commercial thin film-type heat flux sensors were tested. Convective calibrations of these gages were performed over the available heat flux range of $1.4{\sim}2.5kW/m^2$. The uncertainty in the heat flux measurements in the convective-type heat flux calibration facility was ${\pm}2.07%$. Non-dimensional sensitivity is proposed to compare the sensitivity calibrated by manufacturer and that of experiment conducted in this study.

This paper describes the design of a 6-component force/moment calibration machine with having the maximum capacities of 500 N in forces and 50 Nm in moments. To be used for the characteristic of a multi-component load cell. this machine consists of a body, a fixture, a force generating system, a moment generating system and weights. We have also evaluated the accuracy of the calibration machine. Test results show that the expanded relative uncertainty for force components $\pmFx,\;\pmFy\;and\;moment\;components\;\pmMx,\;\pmMy\;are\;less\; than\;8.6\times10^{-4}$, and force components +Fz, -Fz and moment components $\pmMz\;is\;less\;than\;1.6\times10^{-3},\;2.0\times10^{-5},\;1.7\times10^{-3}$ respectively.
The diverter system is a key component in achieving a high accuracy liquid flow rate standard using a static gravimetric system with a flying start and stop method. The diverter is a moving device used to direct flow alternately along its normal course(by pass) or towards the weighing tank. The time needed for collection into the weighing tank is measured using a timer. So it is important to the diversion period is sufficiently fast and triggering point of timer which is determined the filling time. On this studies show that uncertainty of diverter system for changing diversion speed and triggering point was estimated in accordance with Guide to The Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement(ISO).

The exact load measurements for the mechanical parts of a wind turbine are important step both fur the evaluation of a specific wind turbine design and for a certification process. A common method for a mechanical load measurement is using a strain gauge sensing. Two main problems ought to be answered in order for this method to be applied to the wind turbine project. These are strain gauge calibration and non-contact signal transmission from the strain gauge output to a load monitoring system. This paper suggests reliable solutions fer these two problems. A Bluetooth, a short range wireless data communication technology, is used to solve the second problem. The first one, the strain gauge calibration methodology for a load measurement in a wind turbine application, is fully explained in this paper. Various mechanical loadings for a strain gauge calibration in a wind turbine load measurement are introduced and analyzed. Initial experimental results which are obtained from a 1 kW small size wind turbine are analyzed, and the uncertainty problem in estimating mechanical loads using a calibration matrix is fully covered in this paper.
According to the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), the calibration and/or test laboratories should satisfy the management and technical requirements ISO 17025 or equivalent. Chapter 5, Section 5.10.4 of the technical requirement of ISO 17025 suggests the required informations for calibration certificates, one of them is to state the uncertainty of measurement. The uncertainties of measurement in reciprocity calibration of standard laboratory microphone were calculated. The expanded uncertainties for 1 and 1/2 inch microphones were 0.03 dB in the middle frequency range and they increased up to 0.10 dB and 0.11 dB at 20 Hz, 0.07 dB and 0.08 dB at high frequency, respectively.

We describe a new way of implementing absolute displacement measurements by exploiting the optical comb of a femtosecond pulse laser as a wavelength ruler, The optical comb is stabilized by locking both the repetition rate and the carrier offset frequency to an Rb clock of frequency standard. Multiwavelength interferometry is then performed using the quasi-monochromatic beams of well-defined generated wavelengths by tuning an external cavity laser diode consecutively to preselected light modes of the optical comb. This scheme of wavelength synthesizing allows the measurement of absolute distances with a high precision that is traceable to the definition of time. The achievable wavelength uncertainty is $1.9{\times}10^{-10}$, which allows the absolute heights of gauge blocks to be determined with an overall calibration uncertainty of 15 nm (k = 1). These results demonstrate a successful industrial application of an optical frequency synthesis employing a femtosecond laser, a technique that offers many possibilities for performing precision length metrology that is traceable to the well-defined international definition of time.

Light Oil Flow Standard System(LOFSS) in Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science(KRISS) was designed for oil flowmeter calibration. In order to extend the flow range from 120 $m^3/h$ to 200 $m^3/h$, the build-up technique was applied with two positive displacement flowmeters as master flowmeter. The master flowmeters were calibrated against with LOFSS, which has 0.04 % uncertainty of flow quantity determination, then the test flowmeter is calibrated against two master flowmeters. For uncertainty analysis, the repeatability of master flowmeters, the variation of the fluid density and the pipe volume due to temperature change were scrutinized. The contribution of each uncertainty factors to the calibrator and the correlation of each factors were discussed. For investigating the feasibility of uncertainty analysis, a turbine flowmeter as a transfer package was tested with LOFSS and two reference flowmeter. The hypothesis test for both results was coincide with a 95 % significant level. This means that the uncertainty analysis procedure of the calibrator is reasonable and the extension of flow range with master meters was carry out successfully.
