6 더블팬케이크 Bi-2223 고온초전도 마그네트 제작 (Fabrication of 6 double pancakes Bi-2223 HTS magnet)

  • HTS magnet operated at 20${\sim}$40 K was fabricated using three pieces of 100 m Bi-2223 high temperature superconductors fabricated by powder-in-tube process. It was composed of 6 double pancakes with 75 ID. and 113 OD. connected by lab splice. Coil I$_c$ of each DP.(double pancake) obtained for a 140 turn, fabricated using react and wind procedure was 6${\sim}$8 A at 77 K, self field. The maximum field was measured 0.06 T at lop = 5 A, 77 K. The joint resistance due to lap splice of HTS tapes affect badly to operate HTS magnet with persistent current mode, total effective magnet resistance included lap splice was 55 ${\mu}$ ${\omega}$ at 77 K.

최소침습술을 위한 의료용 인스트루먼트의 동작 성능 향상 (Improvement in the Control Performance of Instruments used for Minimally Invasive Surgery)

  • This paper presents feedforward controllers to improve the control performance of the motion and grasping force of a surgical instrument used in an MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery) robot. The surgical instrument has a long distance between the drive motors and its active joints. Therefore, the gripper on the instrument is controlled by a cable drive mechanism, which generates a coupled motion between the wrist joint and the grip direction. In order to solve the problem, this paper analyzes the pulley composition of the surgical instrument and proposes feedforward controllers to eliminate the coupled motion. Furthermore, feedforward controllers to regulate the grasping force are proposed to deal with another coupling problem between the grasping force of the instrument and the motion of the instrument joints. The experimental results demonstrate the improved control performance of the motion and grasping force of the instrument.

방화용 실런트 성능 평가 방법 연구 (A study for the test method of fire resistance construction sealant)

  • Many kinds of fire-stop sealants have been used for joint sealing, cable penetration part sealing and fireproof structure finishing etc in building sectors which need water-proofing and fire-stop properties. But, fire-stop sealant itself has no specific industry standards in Korea even though there are so many required properties for the application. So, in this study, for the evaluation, we adopted and applied UL standard 94(UL 94) which is commonly used for the fire retardant testing in inflammable materials like plastics and rubbers in electronics industry. In this study, we demonstrated fire resistance properties of each fire-stop sealants which varied with different formulation, thickness and origins available in Korea. Overall, fire stop sealant had better fire resistance performance than normal construction sealant. And the thicker the material, the better the fire resistance performance was. Because there is no national or industry guideline for fire stop sealant itself, each sealant products showed different level of performances under UL94 desigation. Even certain product had very poor fire proof propeties although it claims it can be used for the application.

A class of actuated deployable and reconfigurable multilink structures

  • Deployable structures have the ability to shift from a compact state to an expanded functional configuration. By extension, reconfigurability is another function that relies on embedded computation and actuators. Linkage-based mechanisms constitute promising systems in the development of deployable and reconfigurable structures with high flexibility and controllability. The present paper investigates the deployment and reconfigurability of modular linkage structures with a pin and a sliding support, the latter connected to a linear motion actuator. An appropriate control sequence consists of stepwise reconfigurations that involve the selective releasing of one intermediate joint in each closed-loop linkage, effectively reducing it to a 1-DOF "effective crank-slider" mechanism. This approach enables low self-weight and reduced energy consumption. A kinematics and finite-element analysis of different linkage systems, in all intermediate reconfiguration steps of a sequence, have been conducted for different lengths and geometrical characteristics of the members, as well as different actuation methods, i.e., direct and cable-driven actuation. The study provides insight into the impact of various structural typological and geometrical factors on the systems' behavior.

VLBI 자료처리 시스템의 데이터 전송에서 잡음방지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise Reduction Method for Data Transmission of VLBI Data Processing System)

  • 한국천문연구원은 한일상관센터 (Korea-Japan Correlation Center, KJCC)에 2009년부터 한일공동VLBI상관기(Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator, KJJVC)를 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 한일공동VLBI상관기는 한국우주전파관측망(Korean VLBI Network, KVN), VERA(VLBI Exploration of Radio Astrometry), JVN(Japanese VLBI Network) 및 공동 관측망 등에서 관측한 VLBI(Very Long Baseline Interferometer) 데이터를 상관처리하고, 과학적 목적을 위해 관측데이터를 처리하는 전용 계산기로 사용된다. KJJVC는 각 구성시스템 사이의 데이터 입출력 규격으로 VLBI 국제표준인 VSI(VLBI Standard Interface)를 따르고 있다. 특히 관측된 데이터를 상관처리하기 위해 고속재생기인 Mark5B시스템과 동기재생처리장치(Raw VLBI Data Buffer, RVDB) 사이에는 1024 Mbps급으로 데이터가 전송된다. 고속 데이터 전송에 있어 발생하는 전자기 방해 (Electromagnetic Interference, EMI)는 관측데이터의 손실을 야기 시키며, 전송 케이블의 길이가 길수록 손실 발생빈도가 많고, 디지털 데이터 신호의 전압레벨을 감소시켜 데이터 인식 오류를 초래한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 VSI 규격의 통신에서 발생하는 EMI 잡음 정도를 측정하고, 데이터 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 방법으로 1) RC 필터를 사용한 방법, 2) Microstrip 라인을 이용한 임피던스 매칭, 3) Differential line driver를 이용한 신호 복원 방법 등을 제안하였다. 각 제안방법들의 유효성을 확인하기 위해 제안방법들은 시뮬레이션과 실험적인 구현을 통하여 성능시험을 수행하였으며, 각각의 제안 방법이 VSI 규격의 고속 데이터 전송에 유효함을 확인하였다.

파괴면을 고려한 블록식 보강토 옹벽의 거동 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Behavior of Block-type Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall Considering Failure Surface)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 보강토 옹벽의 보강재와 시공법에 대한 국산화에 대한 요구로 전면벽체나 토목섬유 등을 대체할 수 있는 공법에 대한 개발 수요가 많아짐에 따라 경제적이고, 안정한 블록식 보강토 옹벽의 개발을 실시하고, 새롭게 고안된 블록식 보강토 옹벽에 대해 수치해석을 실시하여 거동특성에 대해 분석하였다. 제안된 보강토 옹벽은 첫째, 블록에 전단키를 두어 벽체를 일체화 하였으며, 둘째, 이론적인 파괴면에 보강재를 집중적으로 시공하여 전단 파괴면을 보강함으로써 옹벽의 안정성을 만족시키는 공법이다. 블록식 옹벽의 거동 특성을 분석하기 위해 해석에서 보강재의 사용 요소는 cable 요소와 strip 요소에 대해 수치해석을 실시하였으며, 보강재 길이, 간격, 블록의 일체화의 조건을 변화하여 해석하였다. 이러한 조건으로 해석한 결과 파괴면만 보강하는 경우보다 전면 벽체 블록과 체결을 위해 긴 보강재를 설치하는 경우가 보강효과를 증가시키고, 변위를 많이 구속할 수 있는 것으로 판단되었으며, 전면 벽체와 체결과 함께 일체화를 고려하기 위해 전단키를 설치하는 경우가 벽체를 개별요소로 해석한 경우보다 변위 구속효과가 있었다. 또한, 긴 보강재를 1간격과 2간격으로 시공한 경우의 발생 변형량은 AASHTO의 시공중 허용 발생변형량에 비해 작게 발생되어 본 연구에서 제안한 공법은 구조물의 중요도에 따라 보강재의 간격을 달리하여 현장에 적용할 수 있는 안정한 공법으로 판단된다.

농촌의 폐비닐과 폐전선을 활용한 폴리염화비닐 방수시트의 열풍용착에 의한 접착특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Adhesive Properties by Hot-air Welding of Polyvinyl Chloride Waterproof Sheet Using used vinyl & used cable in Rural Area)

  • In this study, we have intended to provide the related construction manuals with technical materials and to reduce the defects in the on-site construction, with reviewing the adhesive properties of joint parts according to change of temperature and speed of hot-air sealer for the products that have been made of polyvinyl chloride(PVC) materials in the single waterproof sheet. The result from the experiment is shown as following. 1) Bond strength was shown as high as the welding speed became slower. For the hot-air welding velocity with 3~6m/min, a stable bond strength has been shown in the range of the hot-air welding temperature with $175{\sim}210^{\circ}C$, while it has been shown in the range of the hot-air welding temperature with $210^{\circ}C$, when the hot-air welding velocity is between 9~12m/min. 2) If the hot-air welding temperature is lower, the adhesive strength has been shown as higher in the section where the hot-air welding velocity is low, while the adhesive strength has been also shown as higher in the section where the velocity is fast as the hot-air welding temperature becomes higher. The highest bond strength has been shown in the velocity with 3m/min for the hot-air welding temperature with $140{\pm}10^{\circ}C$, which is rather low. At $175{\pm}10^{\circ}C$, a high bond strength has been shown in the velocity with 3~6m/min, while the high bond strength has been shown in the velocity with 6~9m/min at $210{\pm}10^{\circ}C$.

유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기술을 활용한 무인감시체계 연구 (A study on unmanned watch system using ubiquitous sensor network technology)

  • "Ubiquitous sensor network" definition is this-Someone attaches electro-magnetic tag everything which needs communication between man to man, man to material and material to material(Ubiquitous). By using attached every electro-magnetic tag, someone detects it's native information as well as environmental information such as temperature, humidity, pollution and infiltration information(Sensor). someone connects it realtime network and manage generated information(Network). 21st century's war is joint combined operation connecting with ground, sea and air smoothly in digitalized war field, and is systematic war provided realtime information from sensor to shooter. So, it needs dramatic development on watch reconnaissance, command and control, pinpoint strike etc. Ubiquitous computing and network technologies are essential in national defense to operate 21st century style war. It is possible to use many parts such as USN combined smart dust and sensor network to protect friend unit as well as to watch enemy's deep area by unmanned reconnaissance, wearable computer upgrading soldier's operational ability and combat power dramatically, RFID which can be used material management as well as on time support. Especially, unmanned watch system using USN is core part to transit network centric military service and to get national defense efficiency which overcome the dilemma of national defense person resource reducing, and upgrade guard quality level, and improve combat power by normalizing guardian's bio rhythm. According to the test result of sensor network unmanned watch system, it needs more effort and time to stabilize because of low USN technology maturity and using maturity. In the future, USN unmanned watch system project must be decided the application scope such as application area and starting point by evaluating technology maturity and using maturity. And when you decide application scope, you must consider not only short period goal as cost reduction, soldier decrease and guard power upgrade but also long period goal as advanced defense ability strength. You must build basic infra in advance such as light cable network, frequency allocation and power facility etc. First of all, it must get budget guarantee and driving force for USN unmanned watch system project related to defense policy. You must forwarded the USN project assuming posses of operation skill as procedure, system, standard, training in advance. Operational skill posses is come from step by step application strategy such as test phase, introduction phase, spread phase, stabilization phase and also repeated test application taking example project.
