This paper describes the design and implementation of a System-on-a-Chip (SoC) for image processing applications to use in wearable/mobile products. The target Soc consists of LEON 2 core, AMBA/APB bus-systems and custom-designed controllers. A new FPGA-based prototyping platform is implemented and used for design and verification of the target SoC. To ensure that the implemented SoC satisfies the required performances, an image processing application is performed.

A Semi-cusion VLSI Digital Filter Design for TDM/FDM tran-smultiplexer is decribed. Using the polyphase network approach a filter bank composed of only all-pasdigital filter sections was designed. The use of all-pass filters as basic building blocks is shown to provide a Transmultiplexer structure that has low computational requirements low quanization noise and hign modularity. A design of 1st order 2nd All pass filter is done using COMS 2um double metal.

Spending on research and creative wrtings in South Korea been growing. In this study, we introduce the legal analysis for IPR like copyrights. Current copyright law(Art. 23, Sec.1) allows to open some writings previously published in the textbooks under high school. Can this custom be justified? There is conflicts between right of education and intellectual property. We review preliminary issues before concentrated research.

In this paper, Modular cell approach was applied to custom IC design or RS decoder. For the design of RS decoder by modular cells, 3 basic cells and one extra circuit are designed, these are, SYN cell for syndrome calculation, AL cell for error locator polynomial calculation, and REM cell for remaining error transform calculation. RS decoder design by these basic cells is very simple and regular, and naturally suitable for VLSI RS decoder design.

A custom-made display driver for an electronic paper is presented, which has high-voltage multilevel output capability and extremely low power consumption. An original level-shifter circuit can effectively reduce the power consumption and the chip area. This driver was implemented to a Quick-Response Liquid Powder Display (QR-LPD) and the image quality and power consumption was estimated.
