  • The purpose of this research was to offer basic data for study of men's suits by investigating the buying conditions of men's suits. For data collection, a questionnaire was composed of a purchasing price, a purchasing place, the source of the information, the reason of the suit buying, a standard for choice, recognition of the ready-made suit's size and a number of suits they buy etc. The subjects of this research were male who aged 20∼59 and resided in Seoul and the capital region. The results of the research were summarized as the following : 1. Most of the men purchased a ready-made suit rather than a custom suit and a easy-order suit because of the convenience for buying. But the elder was tend to purchase a custom suit than the younger. And the reason of custom suit or easy-order suit buying was size for fitness. 2. It was usually done in a department store and an agency as a purchasing place. The men who resided in Seoul used a department store more than ones who resided in the capital region. Most of the men used bargain sale. The source of the information of suits came principally himself and a wife. Most of the men purchased the suits with their wives of themselves. The elder depended upon their wives for buying suit than the younger. The standards for buying the ready-made suit were color, style and price. The number of suit they buy in a year was 0.9 suits for S/F, 0.7 suits for winter, 0.4 suits for summer and 0.2 suits for combination. The main purchasing price was 150,000∼250,000 won. 3. Most of the consummer was to be satisfied a sense of wearing, color, design etc, but they ware not to be satisfied price, A/S, size etc for ready-made suits. And they usually didn't know the size of ready-made suits.

  • In the restoration of endodontically treated teeth, carbon fiber post was recently introduced. The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate the fracture strength of teeth restored with a pre-fabricated carbon fiber post in comparison with teeth restored with a prefabricated titanium post & custom cast gold post after cyclic loading in the different environment. A total of 30 recently extracted human central incisors of similar dimension with crowns removed were used. All teeth were placed into acrylic blocks and every steps for post and core fabrication were made accord-ing to manufacture's instruction. The post length and core dimensions were standardizd. All teeth were divided into 6 groups: 1) carbon fiber post / atmosphere, 2) titanium post / atmosphere, 3) gold post / atmosphere, 4) carbon fiber post / wet, 5) titanium post / wet, 6) gold post / wet. Carbon fiber post and titanium post were cemented in place using resin cement and cores were fabricated with Ti-Core. Custom cast gold post was made from Duralay pattern resin and cemented using resin cement, too. All specimens were thermocycled 10,000 times. After 50,000 cyclic loading, failure strength was measured using Instron testing machine. Kruskal-Wallis test followed by Mann-Whitney test was used to compare the mean fracture strength. Results were as follows : 1. All specimens showed lower fracture strength in wet environment after cyclic loading than in atmosphere condition, but did not reveal a significant difference. 2. There was no significant difference between carbon fiber post specimen and titanium post specimen in the same environment. 3. Gold cast post specimen showed significant different greater fracture strength than those of others in the same environment. 4. Carbon fiber post specimen showed no root fracture.

  • This study purposed to examine Korean people's white clothes custom historically and to explain the aesthetic consciousness latent in the custom. Korean people preferred white clothes, even up to foreigners called them White-clad folk. Not only as in old historical literatures, but also in Soo-suh, Shin-Dang-suh including Sam-Kuk-Ji in China, white clothes were a real symbol to Korean people, ranging chronically far back to the age of ancient tribal countries, Sam-Kuk Period through Koryo Dynasty and even to modern age near the end of Chosun Dynasty, wearing with pleasure regardless of age, sex or social position. Even King himself in Koryo Dynasty is said to have worn white clothes when he was out of official hours. During the Koryo and Chosun Dynasty, white clothes were sometimes prohibited for various reasons including conflicts with the theories of yin-yang and the five elements but such regulations were not effective. To Korean people, white clothes were ordinary people's everyday dress as well as noble people's plain suits, saints' uniforms with religious meanings, ceremonial costumes, funeral garments, etc. The various uses show that white clothes have been worn by many people. The unique custom that a People have worn white clothes consistently for such a long time may contain very deep symbolic meanings representing the people's sentiments and spirits. The present study understood that the meanings come from religious sacredness, magical wish for brightness, the pursuit of purity originating from the people's national traits, assimilation with nature and the will to attain whole ascetic personality. Aesthetic attitudes based on aesthetic values summed up as sacredness, brightness, purity, assimilation with nature, asceticism, etc. are the aesthetic consciousness pursued by Koreans through their white clothes. For Koreans, white color is the origin of their color sense coming from primitive religions such as worshipping the sun and the heaven. In this way, Korean people's preference for white clothes began with primitive religions, was mixed with various social, cultural and religious influences and finally was settled as their durable spirit, symbol and beauty.

  • As the injunctive effect on the real estate gets announced in public once the seizure register gets exercised in terms of auction and the action of disposal by the real estate owner afterwards becomes nullified in the relationship with a seizure creditor or a successful bidder, the register performed by the cause of disposal action that cannot confront with the seizure or provisional seizure, becomes cancelled in virtue of a registration officer's office. Accordingly, in case of being a singular successor who relatively loses property in a relationship toward the successful bidder due to the injunctive effect of provisional seizure, the identity with building owner and land owner as the precondition of establishing legal superficies according to the custom must be decided based on the time of provisional seizure. The Supreme Court Decision 2010Da52140 delivered on October 18, 2012 has great significance from the fact that it has settled inconsistency in existing precedent cases with such purpose.

  • Objective : The postoperative subsidence of anterior cervical interbody fusion for cervical degenerative diseases gives rise to segmental kyphotic collapse, screw loosening, and chronic neck pain. So, intraoperative custom-made polymethylmethacrylate [PMMA] C-cage has been developed to prevent subsidence following anterior cervical fusion. Methods : A total of patients who underwent anterior cervical interbody fusion with a intraoperative custom - made cervical cage filled with local bone and demineralized bone matrix [group A] were analyzed prospectively from June 2004 to June 2005. These were compared with 40 patients who were treated with iliac bone graft [group B]. We evaluated subsidence ratio, change of segmental angle, distraction length and segmental angle. Statistical analysis was performed using independent sample t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : Group A had a statistically significant decrease in subsidence ratio [$0.64{\pm}0.43%$, p=0.00]. distraction length [$2.42{\pm}1.25\;mm$, p=0.02], and follow angle change [$1.78{\pm}1.69^{\circ}$, p=0.01] as compared with Group B. However, there was no statistically significant difference in postoperative segmental angle change [p=0.66]. On the analysis of the correlation coefficient, the parameters showed no interrelationships in the group A. On the other hand, subsidence ratio was affected by distraction length in the group B [Pearson correlation=0.448]. Conclusion : This operative technique would be contributed for the reduction of a postoperative subsidence after the anterior cervical interbody fusion procedure for cervical disc disease with moderate to severe osteoporotic condition and segmental loss of lordosis.

  • Noise induced hearing loss (NIHS), the well-known occupational disease, is caused by continuous excessive noise. The prevention of NIHS is very important, because it is unrecoverable. There are some kinds of hearing protection device (HPD), and those are effective in preventing NIHS. But workers in noisy environment often resist to wearing them. Because they are ready - made products, so workers feel uncomfortable to wear. Also, they didn't maintain the conversation frequency range, so workers are hard to communicate in wearing them. To prevent hearing loss effectively, it is important that workers keep wearing HPD. Therefore, a HPD is needed to be comfortable to wear and be effective not only in hearing protection but also in preserving communication ability. So we proposed a custom - made hearing protection device in which a small acoustic filter is inserted. We designed several kinds of small acoustic filters and carried out some acoustic experiments for measuring characteristics of filters. We confirmed that acoustic transmission characteristic can be adjusted from experimental results using designed small acoustic filters. And we researched for the actual efficiency of a new developed custom - made hearing protection device using a small size acoustic filter. Also, we found out that workers are more satisfied with the new development than a former protection device from a workers' response.

  • Objective : This study aimed to show the possibility of neural canal enlargement and restoration of bony fragments through laminectomy and minimal facetectomy without pediculectomy or an anterior approach, and also to prove the adequacy of posterior stabilization of vertebral deformities after thoracolumbar bursting fracture. Methods : From January 2003 to June 2009, we experienced 45 patients with thoracolumbar burst fractures. All patients enrolled were presented with either a neural canal compromise of more than 40% with a Benzel-Larson Grade of VI, or more than 30% compromise with less than a Benzel-Larson Grade of V. Most important characteristic of our surgical procedure was repositioning retropulsed bone fragments using custom-designed instruments via laminectomy and minimal facetectomy without removing the fractured bone fragments. Beneath the dural sac, these custom-designed instruments could push the retropulsed bone fragments within the neural canal after the decompression and bone fragment repositioning. Results : The mean kyphotic deformities measured preoperatively and at follow-up within 12 months were 17.7 degrees (${\pm}6.4$ degrees) and 9.6 degrees (${\pm}5.2$ degrees), respectively. The mean midsagittal diameter improved from 8.8 mm (${\pm}2.8$ mm) before surgery to 14.2 mm (${\pm}1.6$ mm) at follow-up. The mean traumatic vertebral body height before surgery was 41.3% (${\pm}12.6%$). At follow-up assessment within 12 months, this score showed a statistically significant increase to 68.3% (${\pm}12.8%$). Neurological improvement occurred in all patients. Conclusion : Though controversy exists in the treatment of severe thoracolumbar burst fracture, we achieved effective radiological and clinical results in the cases of burst fractures causing severe canal compromise and spinal deformity by using this novel custom-designed instruments, via posterior approach alone.

  • Hanbok is a our own history and tradition and is an icon of Korean history and culture. Today, the costumes are moving around the world fashion trend due to the development of mass media and internet at the same time. This is an important clue to marketing activities and can be used for predictive analysis. Although Hanbok is changing little by little every year, research on the trend of Hanbok is rare. This study analyzed the results of searching for 'Hanbok' as a keyword in Portal Site Naver and posting a customized purchase of Hanbok for marriage between 2016 and 2017. The analysis was based on analyzing the photos uploaded, and analyzing purchase reason in the On-line review. Most buyer of Hanbok purchased for prepare marriage. The choice of a customized hanbok is mostly to search online or to use the fair. The most important factor in choosing a custom Hanbok that appeared in online reviews is color and then price. The color of the jacket is mostly light color and the off-white color is the most used and the long skirt such as the pink system, the chorale system and the red system, and it can be seen that the pink skirt is overwhelmingly large. In the design of Hanbok, The sleeves were straight and narrow, and the length was the chest line. The collar were enlarged and widened. 고름 used the sole color instead of the jacket and skirt color, and it was narrow not long. skirt's pleats was wide, and designed to overlap with double color of the fabric.

  • In the relationship between post-modern feminism and the body. the body of women, which has been taken as 'other' by dominant arguments, has escaped from the fixed idea at post-modern times and the post-modern feminists tried to escape from the taste of the times about body image that was prevalent in the former times.'The taste of the times' here means the fixed physical form of ideal women's body by the educational custom, and it includes the educational prescription which establishes the docile body of women. This kind of educational custom aims at the perfect and permanent restriction on size, shape, desire, attitude and movement as well as on the overall demeanor and each part of the body. And the custom produces 'dependent and trained'. that is, inferiorized women's body. Hence, this paper points out that the feminity as a fixed Physical form should be overcome in order to move forward, and as one part of the effort, it attempts to analyze the designs which deformed and distorted women's body in 1990s. This research indicates that the work, which tries to deviate the fantasized and casted women's mystery, has been closely connected with the expression of 'non-separate bodies' and 'irregular body shapes' in 1990s, which aims at escaping from the fixation of women's body Image. Therefore, it is concluded that the target design trend of this research, which expressed the deformation and perversion of the body, provides the anti-these against the ideal body image of women and the these of feminity. which have been reproduced in various methods and patterns throughout the public and the culture on the whole by expressing the refusal and deviation of the existing women's body image through the post-fixation of the body pattern.

  • Objective: This reliability study examined the effects of applying varying induced inward pressures using a transducer placed at 0° neutral ankle position (NEU) and 15° ankle dorsiflexion (DF) on tibialis anterior (TA) muscle thickness using a custom-made device with a force indicator during rehabilitative ultrasound imaging. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Twenty-four healthy subjects were recruited in this study. Two examiners measured the muscle thickness of the TA at 0° NEU and 15° DF in 3 conditions of inward pressures (1.0 N, 2.0 N, and 4.0 N) using a custom-made holder. The muscle thickness was measured three times for each of the conditions arranged in random order. For intra- and inter-rater reliability, the intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) with 95% confidence intervals, standard error of measurement, minimal detectable change, and coefficient of variation were analyzed. One-way repeated measures analysis of variance was conducted for investigating changes of TA muscle thickness according to the inward pressures of the transducers. Results: The intra-rater reliability of TA muscle thickness measurement was excellent (ICC3,1: 0.92-0.96) for all conditions (at both ankle joint angles per varying inward pressure). Likewise, the inter-rater reliability of TA muscle thickness measurement was excellent (ICC2,1: 0.89-0.97) under same conditions. The mean of TA thickness showed the trend of decreasing significantly with increased inward pressures at all ankle joint angles (p<0.05). Conclusions: Use of this custom-made device with a force indicator is useful to accomplish the high intra- and inter-rater reliability of TA muscle thickness measurement at both ankle joint angles in reducing the measurement error.
