Reviewing the trend of land use in urban cultivated land, the large part of land has been changed into the high-profit cultivated land of green houses or the developing areas. So, its percent of cultivated land in land use comparing to the other types of cultivated land would get far higher. Therefore, this study aims to identify the characteristics of landscape ecological pattern in the cultivated land of green houses and to find its alternatives for management, which would be a basis of regional planning and management in terms of space and time. The cultivated land of green houses, whose its area reaches 19.3ha, in Seoul are mainly dispersed on the south eastern part of Seoul and its area is larger than the other types of cultivated lands. According to the result of shape index analysis, its perimeters were very simple. Also, Analyzing the first three major neighboring land use to the cultivated land of green houses, the most frequent biotope types of neighboring land use to the cultivated land of green houses were that transportation facility represented 60%, forest, 43%, the other types of cultivated land, 36%, and residential area, 33%. The cause why the percent of transportation facility was higher in the neigh-boring land use types was assumed for the production and distribution of crops. On the basis of the result of landscape ecological pattern analysis, the cultivated land would be managed and contributed to enhance biodiversity and urban environment preservation.

With the rapid development of information technology, it is now possible to analyze the spatial patterns of cultivated land and its evolution by combining GIS, geostatistical analysis models and spatiotemporal big data for the dynamic monitoring and management of cultivated land resources. The spatial pattern of cultivated land and its evolutionary patterns in Luoyang City, China from 2009 to 2019 were analyzed using spatial autocorrelation and spatial autoregressive models on the basis of GIS technology. It was found that: (1) the area of cultivated land in Luoyang decreased then increased between 2009 and 2019, with an overall increase of 0.43% in 2019 compared to 2009, with cultivated land being dominant in the overall landscape of Luoyang; (2) cultivated land holdings in Luoyang are highly spatially autocorrelated, with the 'high-high'-type area being concentrated in the border area directly north and northeast of Luoyang, while the 'low-low'-type area is concentrated in the south and in the municipal area of Luoyang, and being heavily influenced by topography and urbanization. The expansion determined during the study period mainly took place in the Luoyang City, with most of it being transferred from the 'high-low'-type area; (3) elevation, slope and industrial output values from analysis of the bivariate spatial autocorrelation and spatial autoregressive models of the drivers all had significant effects on the amount of cultivated land holdings, with elevation having a positive effect, and slope and industrial output having a negative effect.

Objectives of this research were to fractionate heavy metals in soil samples in the upper Okdong River basin and to assess the potential pollution index of each metal fraction. Soil samples were collected from cultivated land soils and analyzed for physical and chemical properties. pH of cultivated soils ranged from 5.2 to 7.6. Contents of total kelhaldal nitrogen and loss on ignition were in the ranges of 0.6∼2.5%, and 1.9∼12.9%, respectively. Heavy metals in the cultivated land soils were higher in the abandoned closed coal mine near field soils than those in the paddy soils. Total concentrations of metals in the cultivated land soils were in the orders of Zn > Pb > Ni > Cu > Cd, exceed the corrective action level of the Soil Environment Conservation Law and higher than the naturals were abundance levels reported from uncontaminated cultivated land soils. Mobile fractions of metals were relatively small compared to the total concentrations. Soil Pollution Assesment Index(SPAI) values of each fraction of metals were leveled from Non polluted to Moderately polluted based on total concentrations. SPAI values of mobil fractions were lower than those of immobile fractions. Results on metal fractions and SPAI values of the cultivated land soils indicate that field soils samples were contaminated with heavy metals and had potential to cause a detrimental effects on plants. A prompt countermeasure to prevent field soils in the abandoned closed coal mine near fields are urgently needed.
In this study, we investigated the effects of three land uses on soil properties in two soil layers; surface soil (0~15 cm) and subsoil (15~30 cm). Soil samples were collected from planted forest, barren lands and cultivated lands from different areas in Chittagong Cox's Bazar and analyzed for some physical and chemical properties. Results showed that soil textural class varied from sandy clay loam in planted forest and barren land site to sandy loam in cultivated soils. Maximum water holding capacity was higher in forest followed by barren land and the lowest in cultivated lands. At both soil depths, soils of cultivated land showed the highest values of bulk density (1.42 to $1.50g\;cm^{-3}$), followed by barren lands (1.37 to $1.46g\;cm^{-3}$) and the least (1.32 to $1.45g\;cm^{-3}$) in forest soils. Total porosity decreased with depth ranging from 40.24% to 41.53% in subsoils and from 42.04 to 43.23% in surface soil of cultivated and of planted forest sites respectively. The result further revealed that organic carbon (OC) and total nitrogen (TN) contents were higher in the planted forest soil than in other two land uses. The soils of all land uses under study are acidic in nature and the lowest pH was found in both surface and subsoils of barren land. Cultivated soil contained the highest amount of available P, Ca, Mg and K in both surface soil and subsoils. In contrast, barren site had the lowest contents of available P, Ca, Mg and K in both layers. The soil organic carbon (SOC) and total N storage were higher in planted forest than in barren and cultivated land uses.
This research is focused on not only cultivated land as an important factor which represented the agricultural district, but also details of the research in the landscape of cultivated land. Moreover, we also focused on the cultivated land operating environmental friendly agriculture which took a lot of interest among the landscape of the cultivated land. The reason is, we judged environmental friendly agriculture is not only the simple purpose only for manufacturing food but also the key role for preserving their environment and landscape, and making sustainable agriculture. For this reason, our research treats the analysis that operating environmental friendly landscape has what kinds of different factors in landscape characteristic compare with other general agricultural methods. Plus we selected evaluating both the degree of citizen's presence and the degree of rural residents's importance in those factors as a mainly research matter. We drew out the landscape of cultivated land and concerning factors by analyzing policies(ESA, CSS, CTE, MFSP, ACL, etc) concerned with overseas agricultural landscape to deduct landscape Character factors in internal cultivated land. Based on eleven items of landscape factors in cultivated land deducted by documents research, we started to conduct field studies during MAY. 7th. 2004 $\sim$ JUL. 8th, DEC. 1th $\sim$ 3th reaching 32 villages and concerned institutes to deduct the factors in landscape characteristic in agricultural cultivated land in detail. We analyzed degrees of importance and preference in citizen and rural residents classified by 5 province of the whole country to evaluate the landscape Character factors in environmental friendly agriculture deducted by field research and 21 documents including extra items such as a scene of duck grazing by the duck techniques which is very popular way among internal environmental friendly agriculture, gardening space composed around farm and furrow on slope ground formed by unique topology in hilly country. The research period was progressed for 20 days from MAY. 28th. 2005 $\sim$ JUN. 17th. This research is the result that cultivated land landscape as a detail item holding agricultural environment especially, it is also meaningful result in environmental friendly agriculture as a basic research, because it is not only a value of simple food producing but also very effective role in both landscape and environmental parts.
This study aims to show how the urbanization of Korea has progressed for the last three decades, what its characteristics are, and how rural land use has changed by the national and district(cities and counties) level. The land use changes accompanying to the urbanization is analyzed through 3 indicators such as urbanization rate, the rate of cultivated and forest land and the rate of urbanized area. The statistical data are 30 years from 1976 to 2005 for time series analysis by the national level, and are for the two years of 1995 and 2005 by the district level. The relationship between urbanization and land use changes in the national level is analyzed using statistical analysis(Correlation Analysis). In order to analyze the dynamic and spatial urbanization and land use changes effectively in the district level, Z-score, Paired T-test, Correlation Analysis, Analysis of Variance and Chi-squire Test are used. The results show negative correlation between urbanization rate and the rate of cultivated and forest land, and positive correlation between urbanization rate and the rate of urbanized area respectively. In the aspect of the change of urbanization rate, four categories are examined. In addition, four types are characterized on the basis of the rate of cultivated and forest land and the rate of urbanized area between 1995 from 2005.
This paper analyzes three theories for land degradation assessment and internationl/domestic methods for land degradation monitoring and assessment. Under the guidance of absolute degradation thought, this paper proposes the technological framework for monitoring and appraising cultivated land degradation based on the 3S technique. We can apply 3S technique and analyze the nature, the environmental, the social, and the economic elements which influence the land utilization and degradation synthetically, to set up the indicator system of the cultivated land degradation monitoring and assessment based on 3S technique; to propose the degradation information extraction methods based on 3S technique; to create the quantitative assessment model and method for land degradation; to analyze the ecological environment response of land use and degradation quantitatively; and to propose the measure, policy and suggestion for solving the land degradation problem from the point of view of land utilization.

In this study, we assess the recent changes in the amount of excretion by the livestock industry, and discuss the effects of increasing the ratio of cultivated land on the reduction of surplus nitrogen from a cost-performance perspective. Nitrogen has contributed to acidification of ecosystems and nitrate concentrations in groundwater, especially in Europe. Therefore, we assessed the level of nitrogen waste from the domestic Japanese livestock industry, including cattle, swine and poultry during the period 1987-2001. This assessment assumed that 40% of the nitrogen from the domestic livestock industry was emitted as gas into the air and that 60% of the nitrogen was contained in manure used on domestic cultivated land. Nitrogen excreted from livestock, excluding gas emission, decreased by 11% from 0.504 million tons to 0.447 million tons during 1993-2001. Thus, the peak period of nitrogen excretion from livestock is already past in Japan. However, the area of cultivated land under management also decreased during 1990-2000. In addition, the area of paddy and upland fields left unplanted for a year increased during 1990-2000. Therefore, if all manure from the domestic livestock industry had been utilized on the fields as organic fertilizer, but not on arable land left uncultivated for the past year, the nitrogen per net area of cultivated land would have increased by 5%, from 125 to 131 N kg/ha, during 1990-2000. To reduce the nitrogen ratio on cultivated land through the planting of feed grain to utilize the nitrogen, a comparison of the cost performance of feed grains indicated that barley would be more suitable than wheat, rice or soybean. Had barley been planted in 100% of the land left fallow for the past year in 2000, 4% (20,000 tons) of the nitrogen from livestock waste would have been used in the harvest, and the nitrogen per land unit would have not increased but decreased from 125 to 121 N kg/ha during the same decade. Furthermore, when converted into Total Digestible Nutrients, 7% of imported feed corn could have been replaced with the harvested barley in 2000. Planting barley on this fallow land had three benefits; reducing the risk of manure overload on the land, slowing down the decrease in cultivated land, and raising the feed self-sufficiency ratio. Thus, it would be beneficial to plant feed grain such as barley in land left fallow for the past year through utilization of manure.

To suggest the field maintenance plan considering the geographical characteristics of the region, we selected representative regions(plain regione and mountain region) and compared spatial distribution of cultivated land in Muan-gun and Hwasun-gun. Firstly, we examined the distribution characteristics of cultivated land according to the scope of the maintenance object with Fragstats. As a result of that, it was found that the cultivated area except rice paddy had the highest aggregation effect. And then, we developed type classification of maintenance considering geographic characteristics and cultivated crops information. As a result of classification, plain land type Muan region was mostly cultivated land suitable for integrated maintenance. On the other hand, Hwasun, a mountainous terrain, needs small-scale maintenance and road maintenance. Based on these results, it was found that more detailed planning is needed for the upland field infrastructure improvement considering the topographic characteristics.
