  • The paper is to show the behavior of composit ground which is installed with sheet pile in soft soil improved by sand compaction pile. The results of load-settlement relationship, earth pressure, stress concentration characteristics, and final water content were obtained by centrifuge model test. Two cases of tests, installation of sheet pile on the corner and both side of the loading plate for the improved SCP ground which was designed twice of the footing width, were performed for the tests under the vertical and horizontal loading and both side of corner. Finite element program(CRISP) for sand compaction pile using elasto-plastic model and numerical analysis for soft soil using modified cam-clay constitutive equation were compared and analized with the results of model tests. The result of analysis show the increased bearing capacity of soil after, SCP and sheet pile was installed.

  • In this paper, we proposed the intelligent navigation agent model for successive electronic commerce management. For allowing intelligence, we used fuzzy conditional probability and trapezoidal. we proposed the model that can Process the vague keywords effectively. Through the this, we verified that we can get the more appropriate navigation result than any other crisp retrieval keywords condition. Our goal of study is make an intelligent automatic navigation agent model.

  • In this paper, an empirical study result on pattern estimation method is devoted to reveal underlying data patterns with a relatively reduced computational cost. Presented method performs crisp type clustering with given n number of data samples by means of the sequential agglomerative hierarchical nested model (SAHN). Conventional SAHN based clustering requires large computation time in the initial step of algorithm. To deal with this concern, we modified overall process with a partial approach. In the beginning of this method, we divide given data set to several sub groups with uniform sampling and then each divided sub data group is applied to SAHN based method. The advantage of this method reduces computation time of original process and gives similar results. Proposed is applied to several test data set and simulation result with conceptual analysis is presented.

  • This paper suggests that the immune algorithm can effectively be used in tuning of a PID controller. The artificial immune network always has a new parallel decentralized processing mechanism for various situations, since antibodies communicate to each other among different species of antibodies/B-cells through the stimulation and suppression chains among antibodies that form a large-scaled network. In addition to that, the structure of the network is not fixed, but varies continuously. That is, the artificial immune network flexibly self-organizes accord Eng to dynamic changes of external environment (meta-dynamics function). However, up to the present time, models based on the conventional crisp approach have been used to describe dynamic model relationship between antibody and antigen. Therefore, there are some problems ...

  • The analysis of microarray data is essential for large amounts of gene expression data. In this review we focus on clustering techniques. The biological rationale for this approach is the fact that many co-expressed genes are co-regulated, and identifying co-expressed genes could aid in functional annotation of novel genes, de novo identification of transcription factor binding sites and elucidation of complex biological pathways. Co-expressed genes are usually identified in microarray experiments by clustering techniques. There are many such methods, and the results obtained even for the same datasets may vary considerably depending on the algorithms and metrics for dissimilarity measures used, as well as on user-selectable parameters such as desired number of clusters and initial values. Therefore, biologists who want to interpret microarray data should be aware of the weakness and strengths of the clustering methods used. In this review, we survey the basic principles of clustering of DNA microarray data from crisp clustering algorithms such as hierarchical clustering, K-means and self-organizing maps, to complex clustering algorithms like fuzzy clustering.

  • In this paper, a novel neuro-fuzzy controller is presented. The generic fuzzy controller is compensated by a neural network controller so that an overall control structure forms a neuro-fuzzy controller. The proposed neuro-fuzzy controller solves the difficulty of selecting optimal fuzzy rules by providing the similar effect of modifying fuzzy rules simply by changing crisp input values. The performance of the proposed controller is tested by controlling humanoid robot arms. The humanoid robot arm is analyzed and implemented. Experimental studies have shown that the performance of the proposed controller is better than that of a PID controller and of a generic fuzzy PD controller.

  • Pile Bridge Abutments constructed on a soft base are affected by a lateral flow. Laterl flow pressure acting on Pile is very difficult to calculate because of, interation of ground and Pile. So, it is different to estimate displacement of Pile Bridge Abutments. This paper studied about possibility of the displacement estimation of Pile Bridge Abutments by using the equivalent sheet pile wall theory that was Randolph proposed in 1981. Analysis program through using the SAGE CRISP that is FEM program. Analysis data used Centrifuge test results of Springman(1991), Bransby(1997) and Ellis(1997)'s paper. In conclusion, maxium displacement that is carried out by centrifuge test and numerical analysis has occured at the head of pile, as well as Maximum displacement of pile is closely similar. But the moment acting on pile of numerical analysis is under estimated compare to the centrifuge test. Through the comparative study, it is found that displacement estimation by equivalent sheet pile wall is in relatively good agreement with the results of centrifuge test.

  • Most causes of accidents are due to physical unsafety conditions and human unsafety actions. The design of safety work by ergonomics method is one of the methodes which effectively reduce these unsafety conditions and unsafety actions. This paper presents considerations in design of safety work. And when we try to analyze the accident event by means of probability, there exist some problems because of fuzziness in physical unsafety conditions' components and human unsafety actions' components which are the causes of basic event. For this reason, it is impossible for input probability of basic event to define a crisp value. In consideration of the uncertain probability of components, this paper deals with the Fuzzy set theory by membership value and suggests calculation procedure and analysis of disaster event.

  • Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) evaluates criticality and severity of each failure mode. Generally, those indices are determined subjectively by experts and operators. However, this process has no choice but to include uncertainty. In this paper, a method for eliciting expert opinions considering its uncertainty is proposed to evaluate the criticality and severity. In addition, a fuzzy expert system is constructed to determine the crisp value of risk level for each failure mode. The results are worth considering while deciding the proper policies for each component of the system.
