  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the mental state in school-age children and parents focusing on the aspects of sleep disorders and depression. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 123 parents and 108 school-age children who visited Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital at Gangdong from April 2, 2020 through April 25, 2020, via the direct writing method. Participants were assessed with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)-7, Center for Epidemiology Scale for Depression. Logistic regressions were used with a level of significance of 5%. The prevalence of GAD, depression, and poor sleep in parents were 34.1%, 17.1% and 44.7%, respectively. The prevalence of GAD in children was 20.4%. Logistic regression showed that stress from Emergency Alert Messages about COVID-19 was associated with GAD and depression in parents. In children, the degree of emotional change after COVID-19 was associated with GAD. This study confirmed that there was a change in the psychological status of children and guardians due to the epidemic of coronavirus disease-2019, and it would be necessary to consider their psychological status during dental treatment.

  • Foreign direct investment (FDI) and export are now often regarded as two of the most important drivers of economic growth on a worldwide scale. The impact of foreign direct investment on Vietnam's exports is investigated in this study. The data for the time period 1985-2020 was obtained from the World Bank and the Vietnam General Statistics Office. The years 1985 to 2020 were chosen to evaluate the evolution of macroeconomic parameters since 1986. The impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on renovation reform. The Johansen co-integration test proved that FDI and domestic investment (DI) had a long-term positive impact on Vietnam's export growth. The Granger causality test revealed that there is a one-way relationship between FDI and export in the near term, but no such relationship exists between DI and export. The result of the variance decomposition study demonstrates that the FDI sector has a bigger impact on Vietnam's export growth than the DI sector. Furthermore, export activities are vulnerable to FDI sector shocks. As a result, in recent years, FDI has been regarded as the most important factor of export growth in Vietnam.

  • Due to the impact of the public health event COVID-19 epidemic, the Chinese futures market showed "Black Swan". This has brought the unpredictable into the economic environment with many commodities falling by the daily limit, while gold performed well and closed in the sunshine(Yan-Li and Rui Qian-Wang, 2020). Volatility is integral part of financial market. As an emerging market and a special precious metal, it is important to forecast return of gold futures price. This study selected data of the SHFE gold futures returns and conducted an empirical analysis based on the generalised autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH)-type model. Comparing the statistics of AIC, SC and H-QC, ARMA (12,9) model was selected as the best model. But serial correlation in the squared returns suggests conditional heteroskedasticity. Next part we established the autoregressive moving average ARMA-GARCH-type model to analysis whether Volatility Clustering and the leverage effect exist in the Chinese gold futures market. we consider three different distributions of innovation to explain fat-tailed features of financial returns. Additionally, the error degree and prediction results of different models were evaluated in terms of mean squared error (MSE), mean absolute error (MAE), Theil inequality coefficient(TIC) and root mean-squared error (RMSE). The results show that the ARMA(12,9)-TGARCH(2,2) model under Student's t-distribution outperforms other models when predicting the Chinese gold futures return series.

  • The epidemic of 2019 novel coronavirus, later named as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is still gradually spreading worldwide. The nucleic acid test or genetic sequencing serves as the gold standard method for confirmation of infection, yet several recent studies have reported false-negative results of real-time reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR). Here, we report two representative false-negative cases and discuss the supplementary role of clinical data with rRT-PCR, including laboratory examination results and computed tomography features. Coinfection with SARS-COV-2 and other viruses has been discussed as well.

  • Coronaviruses were originally discovered as enzootic infections that limited to their natural animal hosts, but some strains have since crossed the animal-human species barrier and progressed to establish zoonotic diseases. Accordingly, cross-species barrier jumps resulted in the appearance of SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV-2 that manifest as virulent human viruses. Coronaviruses contain four main structural proteins: spike, membrane, envelope, and nucleocapsid protein. The replication cycle is as follows: cell entry, genome translation, replication, assembly, and release. They were not considered highly pathogenic to humans until the outbreaks of SARS-CoV in 2002 in Guangdong province, China. The consequent outbreak of SARS in 2002 led to an epidemic with 8,422 cases, and a reported worldwide mortality rate of 11%. MERS-CoVs is highly related to camel CoVs. In 2019, a cluster of patients infected with 2019-nCoV was identified in an outbreak in Wuhan, China, and soon spread worldwide. 2019-nCoV is transmitted through the respiratory tract and then induced pneumonia. Molecular diagnosis based on upper respiratory region swabs is used for confirmation of this virus. This review examines the structure and genomic makeup of the viruses as well as the life cycle, diagnosis, and potential therapy.

  • Recently, epidemic of covid-19 causes rapid increase in demand for untact video conferences. In existing server-client based video conference systems such as Zoom, Google Meet, etc., the server generates the conference key and controls the access rights of meeting members and their contents with it. In this case, the server can fabricate or repudiate the meeting. So, the privacy of the meeting members is not guaranteed. It's necessary to make the conference key distribution scheme where all participants can verify the trustfulness without help of the server. The smart contract is the program stored to the blockchain. Its contents cannot be altered due to the property of the blockchain, and everybody can verify the execution results of it. In this study, we propose the smart contract based conference key distribution scheme. The proposed scheme is consisted of smart contract deployment, conference key generation and verification stages. The smart contract replaces the role of existing trustful server and the meeting members can generate the conference key according to the protocols implemented on it. The proposed scheme can be applied to the video conference systems and only the meeting members can access the conference key.

  • As social anxiety is increasing due to the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, the responses at the level of local governments are also changing depending on the characteristics. We analyzed the factors influencing perceptions of social safety as they relate to the trustworthiness of local governments. Based on a 2020 social survey of 16 cities, counties, and districts in Busan Metropolitan City, the effects of householder characteristics, economic characteristics, local attachment characteristics, and social safety perception characteristics on the reliability of the local government were analyzed through an ordinal logistic regression analysis. It was found that the more vulnerable the class was and the safer the region was, the higher the trust was in the basic local government. In order to respond and preemptively recover damage in natural and social disaster situations, continuous efforts are needed to strengthen the capabilities of basic local governments.
